Watching the fans forum last night is always entertaining when Perry Groves is on, I love that guy, he makes sense and he really believes as we do that Arshavin’s presence will give the team a lift, he said from a player point of view they will be stepping up for fear of losing their place and wanting to prove themselves to the new boy, good combination in my book.
They also said that Keane has his moments but drifts out of games all too often and if we can get past the first 15 minutes we should win at a canter.
Also they will come at us and that suits our quick passing game and our ability to counter attack, so we should see some goals, Ade has been well out of sorts and will relish the chance to get the fans going by scoring against the spuds and I think he has a better record against them than Keane does against us. I think we will be out to prove something tomorrow and I was doubly heartened by the news that Wenger said Rosicky is ahead of schedule and will be back in six or seven weeks, f-cking hell Arsene, that’s April, ahead of schedule? he was supposed to be back in September!
Still at least we’ll have Eduardo and Arshavin knocking on the door, personally with 7 subs allowed I would put them both on the bench tomorrow, if for nothing else other than to lift the fans.
I fancy Robin to rip them up but something tells me Denilson will also get on the score sheet, don’t know why, but I just have this feeling. I would like to see Ramsey as the defensive midfielder but I suspect it will be Song, but if not I would play Vela out left with Nasri and Denilson in the middle and Wilshere out wide, but I know he won’t do that either, so expect a midfield of Nasri, Song, Denilson and Eboue.

English youth came/is coming through at a lot of other clubs except here because they arent given the same opportunities as others. Lansbury is apparently very good but is yet to get more than a few sub appearances for us and is likely to be sold wihtout getting those chances. But still Eboue and Song are given dozens and dozens of games to prove they arent good enough.

Personally I think our weakness is still in the Center of Midfield. I still believe Song, Diaby and Denilson are squad players at best. And that is the problem, it is part of the spine of the team. I still fear for us when we play a midfield that includes Song, Denilson and Diaby.
Next area of concern for me is Goalkeeper, but that should be sorted next Season when Fabianski takes the jersey
And then the Strikers. It is not that we dont have enough, but more about the quality of the ones we have got. A lot will depend on whether Ade actually reaslises that you have to put some effort in after you get the bumper contract, and whether or not Eduardo can kick on from his injury. He was just getting going this time next year. Bendtner in my mind will end up at a Bolton and Vela looks the nuts but Wenger does not seem to want to play him. I have a horrible feeling he is going out on loan next week and that would be criminal.

Nah, Eboue is apparently fixed from his injury in the last game. Looked like he did not fancy it last weekend in my opinion. I can live with two of Denilson, Song and Eboue playing but god forbid all three start.

What’s annoying about tomorrow is that you can predict now what’s going to happen. Eboue will start off well, make a progressive run and then muck up the pass, Tottenham will counter and get a corner…

Denilson will jog around like he’s on a sunday morning stroll and fail to track runners from midfield.
All this stuff is liable to happen and happen not too long into the game, and that’s what is frustrating, even now.

The good news is that we will have chances so there will always be a way back if things go wrong.

Just an Opinion Fella, but I will have a crack at explaining
A CM at RM, well because the only one we have fit is Wilshire and we all know he wont play him there. Arshavin will not play as he lacks fitness, so it is a trade off between A RB in Eboue playing there or a CM in Denilson. Given Denilsons form I would go for him.
An Attacking Midfielder in the Center. Have you watched any of our recent games???? Nasri has proven himself that he is at his most dangerous when playing in the CM. He also used to play there for Marseille.
A CB in CM. He is only a CB as Wenger converted him. Toure joined us a CM and then played a few at RB, and eventually settled at CB. Ok this is a gamble but I rate Song that lonely that I would have picked Gunnersaures Rex there if available. I think that Toure has all the Attributes to make a quality CM player and even whilst he is learning the role he is better than what we have available.
A striker on the LW (not RW as you stated) because again he is more dangerous than playing either Denilson, Song or Eboue out there. We are lacking options Gambon and for me Vela should be given games. Also he played in Spain on the LW for a lot of games and was even Man of the Match in that position against Real Madrid at the Bernabau in one of them. I bet Neither Song, Denilson or Eboue have been MOTM in their life let alone away at Real Madrid.
And as for the Experimenting,
Wenger has been doing it for three seasons, so I dont see why tomorrow he will see the light and start playing competent players in their right positions
