Unproven or relatively cheap players that worked out well for AW - for the record..

Anelka
Clichy
Adebayor
Vela
Bendtner
Vieira
Overmars
Petit
Fab 4
DB 10
TH 14
Pires
Campbell
Toure
Djourou
Denilson
Jeffers
Chris Wrea
Song
Mendez
Big Phil
Laft bald headed lousy centre back whose name escapes me
Tavilaridis
Aliadiere

He must sign 3 kids for every one that works - it's cheaper that way - although not really very fair on the kids.

Still have high hopes for some of the current crop tho. Particularly
Coquelin
Wilshere
Vela

IF vela is as good as I think he is - then we'll have an international superstar on our hands - and he'll learn from Eduardo too - the goal amchine.

8 unbeaten with 4 wins, not too far off the top, great players due to come back from injury, potential new signing, djourou starting to look like a 6ft 4 inch CB with pace and skill... It's not horrific.

League will finish this year as follows...

Man U
Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool
Villa

There's still half a season to go - and that's a long time.

morning all,

a few pointers from yestdays bloggers, obviously just i.m.o.

I find it totally unnecessary to have a heated debate about racism and in paricular about eboue DURING the game itself.eboue is at best a right back and cover for sagna. wenger choses were to play him not us.

the upson/bedtner rumour of a deal concerns me.As already stated before,he is still young and suddenly as an impact player he is improving rapidly.i hope the board, who are more interested in money don't take a view that he is now worth selling as his value has gone up.We need him as cover at the very least until the summer, and we need to gauge the return of eduardo.

if only we had a player like lampard or gerrard(love them or hate them)who can single handedly drive on a team and score vital goals.

To me the defence is still the major problem as there is still an uncertainty in communication between them and almunia, though in fairness we still don't really know our best line up.

Nasri, is really beginning to excite, his best away game by far.rvp is vital to us this season and i disagree with some about ade's header,it was very well taken.he needs to keep practising that aspect of his game.

denilson and diaby now have a chance to see if they really make first team impact, again both are young.

All three were good goals, including the fourth that wasn't and cam back off the post.

Bendtner was awesome. I wonder if he deserves to start on the right instead of Eboue. Some of his link up play was brilliant.

Eboue had a reasonably tidy game.

Ethan, Ade deserved the first goal. It was a good goal.

well its more than that as someone suggested we are getting upson for nik b ..
geoff even posted about it ..

and rumors also have us linked with him ..
(upson)

you could believe that wenger was thinking about getting rid of him ..
prior too his impact sub role he was pretty woeful ..

he is just like ade .. only seems motivated once he's dropped ..
well if thats the way to get the best out of either of them wenger should rotate them until
one stands out ..

my bet is that it will be nik b , he combines far better with RVP than ade...

rvp and ade seem to be 2 individuals on the pitch at the same time ..
once nik came in the link up was far more fluid ..

i hope wenger is taking notes , because he never seems to learn who his best starting 11 is !

ade goal was shocking .. 6 yard box jumping straight up , it hit his head and he almost looked shocked as it bounced off his forehead .. i think he was shocked it went in also !

but A i do agree RVP looks more threatening as time goes on .. his free kicks are lethal .
and its so good to have a striker who looks confident from a spot kick ..

eboue was again pretty useless .. missed a sitter and simply has not scored enough from midfeild
to be considered anything but a sub .. diaby was anonymous as ever , and we didnt look threatening until wenger sub'd in bends and took out ade .. nasri battled hard and given time will be a star ..

we have the players on the bench who can make a difference but wenger chooses not to start vela - for eboue , and ramsey for diaby .. and i think nik does deserve a start over ade , especially if you believe wenger is thinking to get shot of him !

i think selling nik b would be a big mistake for the future .. same as we did with mumbva

3 or 4 in the first half darren, he was our best player imo for the first 20 mins, then became less and less involved as the game went on and lost confidence etc ended pretty pants. yeah we need a defensive mid desperately, after an attacking mid, though on bendtner's showing last few games maybe he can just play in a deeper role if we don't get arshavin!
diaby gave the ball away more than any other player on our team, did get his foot in but his positional sense is soooooo bad! Denilson looked so nervous about moving an inch forwards because he knew he had to cover for diaby the whole time!

ade's touch and passing, first half especially was absolutely exceptional, though second half he did return to his former lazy self, first half was the best he's played this season by a mile imo

yeah we will walk cardiff with half a team, we struggle against crappy prem teams who have practiced playing defensive football all season, top championship teams aren't anywhere near as good at the anti-football as they havn't had the practice. Fabianski and ramsey will definitely play, and vela and bendtner would tear cardiff apart, i'd be very surprised if the 4 of them didn't start against cardiff, or at the very least fabs, ramsey, and bendtner.
We know fabs is the fa cup keeper, and wenger mentioned ramsey in a similar vein, as our fa cup midfielder, and bendtner deserves a start, and will likely score, whether he's alongside ade, vela, vp, or in a more withdrawn role
