So tomorrow we entertain the Premiership bullies, we welcome back to the Grove Kevin ‘the elbow’ Davies and his horrible mates, we also welcome back Fabrice Muamba, who I do rate but I think tomorrow we will get to see an interesting team, tomorrow we have no fish head and no Gallas, so he has to play Kolo and Djourou, I hope he does anyway because I think that will decide if the boss buys any new defenders in the window.
I have a feeling he’ll play Song in there with Djourou but let’s hope it’s Kolo.
The wing backs should be Sagna and Clichy, but I wouldn’t object to seeing Gibbs in there either, the wingers are a different kettle of fish though, we won’t have Arshavin on the left on account he hasn’t bought him yet, so I expect he’ll play Nasri out there, Diaby and Denilson will take up the middle with Eboue out right, with Ade and Robin up top.
Now what I would prefer is Vela left and Wilshere right with Nasri and Diaby/Ramsey in the middle but somehow I don’t think he do that, we may even see Bendtner and Ade as he might think this will be too physical for Robin and want some height in their to combat their size.
I remember the days when a visit from Bolton meant 3 points and a hatful of goals, but we’re a bit lightweight these days, however if he goes with the skilful set up, he may just surprise them, whoever he picks though, we should win, if we have any title aspirations left, tomorrow is a game when we could do some catching up.
So Arsenal, up and at them from the off and let your skill and pace overpower them from the kick off.
We had a bit of politics going on in the early hours, let me just say this blog doesn’t take sides won’t let this site be a billboard for those that want to, so please leave any thoughts you may have off Le Grove.
The only petition I will sign is one that gets rid of three players and replaces them with some world class stars, if you want to propose that, then I’ll put you on.
I have not had an answer from Danny Fizman so if you’re reading Danny, it’s not too late, don’t forget, I support you.
It’s Friday so maybe today we’ll have some good news, the spuds are now after Inler, another old target, I figure Wenger should just give Harry a list of players we want and it will save Tottenham having a scouting network.
I often wonder why Arsenal have such a large scouting network when we don’t buy anyone anyway, surely they could save a few bob there!
Have a great day Grovers, 3 points tomorrow, close the gap and unviel some new signings at the home of football before kick off, I know, wake up, still the three points will do nicely eh!

thats why we are targeted by the media so much bergy, when wenger gets the hump he throws stropps and the media love it, the more he throws the more they love to get him when we fuck up
he needs to shut it for a bit
i know fergie is fucking with him, but at least Benitez has the guts to come out and say that Fergie is above the refs and heirarchy and he can have a word in the refs ears at half time or whenever and never get punished!
JonJon the media just love to play dog & cat with wenger, its an ongoing battle and this is partly why he loves arsenal because he loves the english game,he tells the media nothing,he says yes im happy with the point, then he goes in the dressing room and throws cups of tea and rips doors off, then when he shouldnt complain he duz and the papers start windin him up so he doesnt bother express the truth to them until he gets emotional once more and whinges, see if wenger done a fergie an refused to talk to certain channels and press they would stop having a go and gangin up on us,but it helps when your winning stuff because you the team an manager they wanna hear from
Dont be suprised if Rafa gets in trouble with the FA soon. They will be looking for any opportunity to screw with him, on the advice of a certain scotsman.
he only did it because the F.A wont charge him just so they can always drag this up and say well we didnt do you for that, benitez will pay in the long run
thts true bergy ive always said the only way to stop the media fucking us is for wenger to fuck them off like fergie
but like you say he loves it he love being the underdog with no money to spend too
it motivates him the fact that he could win the title spending no money and with everyone against us
the bigger the odds the bigger the fuckyou if it all goes to plan
i wouldnt diss refs on tv these days, especially now sky sports or the F.A can call decisons through the refs ear piece for villa and manure
Maybe its a foriegn and local affair. Why the fuck did Red nose get knighted?
Which makes me think, do you guys know that Zidane got the title of Cavalire (sp) Which is the same as getting knighted in England, why he fucked up in the world cup!
one thing i dont like seeing is players talking to the ref while walking of the pitch, ok you can complain, but who knows what the hell they wisper in their ear!
wenger never knows when to talk and when to wait an hour to calm down, thats his problem, but i dont see how the f.a can wanna talk to rafa, when everytime we play bolton and stoke the press give them two pages the day of the game to talk about gettin in arsenals faces and ruffin them up,why dont the f.a ask kevin davies and nolan what they mean after talking this shyt 2 times a year , everyone knows what THEY DONT LIKE IT UP’EM means
Speaking of Zidane. imo he is the best player ever. I’d pick him over Pele and Maradona any day of te week. Maybe even Bergkamp but then again I never saw the former 2 play so…
these same refs have known ohn terry rio ferdinand steve gerrad for probably 15 years, thats the real problem, gerrard runs at people and dives into them, even them young villa guys, see how ashley young screams at refs and waves and him and agbonlahor can dive and be looking and scream at an official before they even hit the floor,it should be illegal for players to appeal for decisions,if this is done the decision should be reversed, that would stop this shyt
everyweek gerrard is on tv doing the exact same dive and every week sucker refs fall for it,dont refs have a tv set??,why dont match of the day ever show these things either?
tx stu, thats cool! Zidane is amazing, my best memory of they guy was at the last world cup, France Vs Brazil, he dribble three of those fools, lol!!
zidane and bergkamp in one team, with henry, and pires, and viera, that would have been the one
jesus bergy that team would of destroyed all before it
was wenger our manager when zidane an dugary were the hottest thing ever playing for bordeux?
Sorry boys but another great memory was England vs France at the Euros 2004 when france won in the last minutes of the game 2-1, that game is def. a classic!!
RasDef, i remember that. It was breath taking. Its a real shame that he decided to retire before he played the WC. It was a great way to go out but would have been better had France won the PK for him.
I watched a youtube clip of him with his sons yesterday. Real family man and his sons (at least one of them are ) are destined for greatness. My money is on Enzo.
Bergkamp, that would be some team. France were once a great force but they just arent as dominant anymore. We had a strong supply of world beaters a few years back and Wenger is trying to find the next generation. But imo our current French players arent of the same level.
2006 no..
france arent the same level,
spain are the team now
not much of a defence, like any other team now but fucking awesome everywhere else
England is comming back with force though, next world cup, SA your def. in it to win!!
i still reckon the best player wenger didnt sign who demolished us was stefan effenberg
the weather will beat england
every years our year rasdef
we just dont have the players we think we do
there all overated and overpaid, we aint got a chance, i give up on the national side a long time ago
yeah i agree, France are not the same, personally i blame Domenec i just dont like that guys decisions (on how to play people and team selection), waiting on Wenger to retire and go for some international football, hehe..
i blame the refs as well, the english refs that is,they let the english get a way with murder and then they are in a foriegn country with no englush refs at a major tournament and their not above the law no more and they still carry on playing like thugs
i think thats what he’ll do rasdef
the french team may be his next destination,
the CL with us and then the WC or the EC with france and hes the best manager that ever lived on paper.
England havent won anything because the player play different positions compared to when they play for their club. Capello might be able to change that.
i found it funny when i found out that he wasnt far down the list to manage England, he was like 5th or so…
I dont think Wenger would ever go for manager of a country. He loves the day to day work. He would go insane (even more so) if he only had players for a few weeks every year.
Unless he takes the job of u-18s or u-21s.
If he was fifth then imagine where MacLaren was, 21st maybe.
Capelo is a good manager shouldnt under estimate the guy, one of the best managers out there, makes the rest run away!
I think 2morowa formation
Almuna..
Sagna, Toure, Dj, Clichy, (typical we have no choice)
Eboue, Denil, Song, Diaby, (for hight and to get physical vs Bolton boys)
Ade, RvP, (hope Ade get a bloody hat trick!)
Did everyone go to bed. Stu you cant possible agree?
possibly*
What team did we play at the Reebok? We had Denilson and Eboue in midfield. Anyone remember the rest. Nik was motm.
Agree with what?
formation mate
That will probably be it but its definately not hat i’d go for ever.
Fabianski
Sagna Toure JD Clichy
Nasri Denilson Ramsey(loves a hard tackle) Vela
RvP Ade
Not the toughest team available but their football would fuck Bolton out of it.
I would like to play Nik but he doesnt work well with RvP and Van Persie cant be dropped on this form.
Rasdef, the midfield will probably be Eboue-Denilson-Diaby-Nasri.
Song might play in defence.
Stu, I wish he would play Vela more often, but he’ll play Song before he’ll play Vela.
I think Wenger likes to protect the players too much thats why i dont see Nasir in the formation btw..
Interesting that Kolo is captain for Bolton. AW says RvP is next and then Almunia!
Looks like Almunia is not an automatic choice any more!!
I wouldnt mind Merida or Wilshere in their either. But Jacky is a bit young for that yet.
If bolton score or if they dont i see Nasir on the bench, then we’ll get the real play makers on the pitch…
I hope Kolo has a blinder. I hate the negative comments going around about his malaria, etc.
We need the experience against Bolton. Don’t think Wilshere or Merida are ready for it yet.
Vela and Ramsey, though, are a lot more combative. The only fear I have is that Ramsey might get carried away and end up with a red card.
He added: ‘I like Matthew Upson, but again I would not like to come out on that.
‘At the moment, we are not looking to buy on the defensive side of our game.
‘I believe no matter how much pressure I am under, I always try to be intelligent – that is much more important for me than to just give in to any pressure.
‘I would always like to think that no matter what kind of decision I make, it has to make sense for the club and for the future of the club.
My interpretation of this is that if we can get Arshavin for 12m or thereabouts, we may go for Upson. I think he will play Upson in the Flamini role.
This captain shit is getting stupid, IMO its not a good idea to have the keeper (almunia) as captain because they are not really on the pitch, got to have someone in the midfield as captain or RvP was a good idea since he can pull players forward…
Toure would make a good captain but i dont think he’s confident enough in to parts, one his english.. and two the transfer issue…
I would play Vela and Rambo a lot more they are the 11th and 12th most expensive teenage players in the world..
Check, and scroll down…
http://www.imscouting.com/
Diaby needs to fix his attitude. He keeps going on and on about how he wants to play behind the striker, etc, etc…..
He needs to play where AW tells him to play. At least Eboue and Nik try to play where the manager tells them to play.
Thats a larf. Some of the team selcetion decisions he makes are definatley not in the best interest of the club. Winning should be the priority and playing players out of position is not the best way to do that.
I just hope to fuck that he doesnt pich a midfield of Denilson, Song, Diaby and Eboue. Thats whats helps you lose. 2 of them at the very most is even hard to take.
Wow! Good data, Rasdef!!
We have a lot of money sitting on the bench!
PDT- did you see Patos worth, that kids on fire!
geeez not being able to sleep is annoying!
Our invincibles had no less players playing “out of position” than the current team does stu!
It won’t be a midfield of those 4, three of them will play plus nasri i’d imagine, which is the team i’d pick. Song and Denilson have to start centre mid, as they do for a good while yet until we sign someone else or get some momentum going, nasri has to play, then it’s either eboue right in a 4-4-2, or diaby central in a 4-5-1 with vp dropping out wide
A, you would honestly pick a midfield of Nasri and 3 of those 4? Thats crazy. Song and Denilson is one thing but adding Eboue to that would effectively mean we have only 3 proper attackers.
yeah maybe a 4-5-1 formation i see it happen, then Nasir gets a lot more protection on the wing..
rasdef it’s only one website’s estimation of how much players’ valuation is, it isn’t a real thing! isn’t sakho talking of a move to juve for just under 15 million anyways so saying he’s 6.5 mil is pretty off the mark, not to mention the fact that fabian delph is valued as highly as ramsey?! Bloke who did it must be a leeds fan!
The playing players out of position talk/crticism is a bit silly, because wenger has changed players since he arrived, usuall with great success….
Lauren was a midfielder moved to right back, petit a defender moved to centre mid, pires, ljungberg, hleb all arrived as central players moved to wide men, most importantly henry was a winger moved to be the best striker in the world!
Nasri is moving to be a wide man roaming like hleb and pires did but just hasn’t adapted to his role yet, diaby is certainly not capable of playing centre mid in a 4-4-2 so doesn’t really have a position unless we play 4-5-1, eboue is best at right back but decent enough utility player imo as he’s a good all round footballer
sub Song for Rambo..
It depends stu, if we play 4-4-2 i’d rather eboue on the right wing than diaby, who’s useless out wide. If we played 4-5-1 i’d rather diaby, or even bendtner in linking up with nasri as he did against pompey. Not saying i love eboue playing right wing, just that there isn’t anyone else, and wilshere would get murdered by bolton!
A- i got to say, i think this wesite is a lot more accurate that other websites that really talk shit all day! Sign up, its free, you’ll see how they are dedicated to be accurate more than anything, i’ve been using it for months…
there is no way of getting real estimates, but its as good as it gets
not a chance rasdef, song needs to play for his size and strength in midfield, we need to be more solid without cesc, and although ramsey is obviously better on the ball than song, he isn’t so much better that he’s good enough to compensate for cesc’s injury. We need to be more solid with song and denilson in, and let nasri, vp, and to a lesser extent diaby and ade do the unlocking of defences, if things don’t happen then the likes of vela, ramsey, and wilshere can come on sacrifice some solidity for spark, but we can’t start like that, at least not until the team gets some momentum and confidence going again.
Petit, Lauren etc were all small moves. Not major ones like moving a right back at best to right and left wing, moving a slow CM who is being retrained ad a DM to either wing and even Sog at RB (even f it was only once) and continously switching him between cm and cb. Thats what i mean.
Petit was a ball playing defender moved to DM. Lauren was a great tactler and disciplined, Freddie + Bobby were moved out wide but always came inside and were intellegent enough to play those posotions. And Henry was originally a striker at Monaco but Juve played him wide because of his pace. Hardly all down to Wenger.
it may well be rasdef, but the delph estimation underestimates it massively imo! He’s not worth anything like that much, he’s a pretty good league 1 player, not even in the same league as the best in that division, so to value him on par with ramsey and above people like sakho is very wrong!
i have heard good things about it, my brother swears by it, and apparently professional clubs look at it too
Maybe the valuation takes nationality and league into consideration. He is english and they are nutoriously overpriced.
oh yeah i agree with that stu, but with eboue i think he has the grimandi thing about him, just a decent all round player so can fill in adequately all over, but with denilson playing left and right mid (though he was a dm for brazil youth teams and sao paulo) and song playing right back i think wasn’t out of choice, it was a case of desperation, and showed how thin our squad is! They only played there because there was noone else.
I think nasri has the intelligence to play out wide and do the same as bobby p, but it’s just going to take a while to adapt. i think it would have happened alot quicker had hleb stayed or rosicky been fit, just because it would’ve taken some pressure off him. Hopefully with both arshavin and nasri it’ll make it easy on both of them!
-A- i’m not sure what your talking about… Hey mate change your name, -A- doesnt give you justice… put something like -A- Aka the man or something….
yeah true stu, but ramsey is british too, from the prem, was playing in the championship, and was just 5 mil despite everyone wanting him! To price him the same as delph now is pretty inaccurate imo. I’d say ramsey wouldn’t leave for under 10 mil now, and wilshere 15!
oh yeah – what do people think about supposed interest in n’zogbia??
N’Zogbia? 4/10 Arsenal standards, 6/10 football stanfards…
I thin Nasri needs more support from DM, he was starting to build a good connection with Clichy, but people need to support the kid on the pitch.. If it continues the way its going right now, he’ll have to be like Zidane right now which is too much..
I dont doubt that Nasri will become great with us but playing in this team it will take a lot longer than it should.
Song was played at rb when we had other options. Song came off at HT because he was doing horribly. He was replaced by a defender after Wenger realised his mistake of playing him there but that mistake shouldnt have been allowed to happen because it was obvious Song wouldnt do well.
As for comparig Grimandi with Eboue I just dont know. Grimandi was the perfect utility player from what i read and Eboue is far from that. He was very capable when surrounded by better players but is now neither a viable option for midfield but also imo a poor rb now. I noticed against Porto that he isnt a good rb anymore. All the bad atributes that he picked up in midfield have forced their way into his natural game.
IMO he was such a good rb for his overlapping and first time crosses but since playing at rght mid he has grown a tendency to always come inside and generally lose the ball. Something that he tred more than a few times against porto. Its as though he has forgotten how to play in his former position.
ha yeah i’d say that sums it up. I’m kinda indifferent to him, if was for free then he’d be a decent enough squad member, and a sub for clichy, but i wouldn’t waste any money on him. He certainly couldn’t come in as our “special talent”!!
As far as im concerned N’Zogbia can stay where he is and keep him mouth shut. Im not a fan of players that always speak of their interest in other clubs. Its just asking and hoping to move to another (and usually better) club.
Ade did it in the summer and Gallas more recently trying to force their way out or trying to get more money.
4/10 is pretty high for our standard.
He isnt a ery intellegent player and a loud mouth so i cant see Wenger making a bid (hopefully)
i dunno stu, i do remember how bad song was at right back, but wasn’t it gavin hoyte who played right back instead?! who is imo also very poor.
Grimandi and eboue are different types of utility players. Grimandi was a little scrapper, filled in anywhere and always made life hard for the opposition chasing everything and fighting for everything. Eboue is a decent utility player because he adds pace and power wherever he plays, which is something this team is largely lacking. Not a massive eboue fan, but i just understand why in the current squad he plays when he does, and I think i’d do something similar.
I do agree he didn’t look too great against porto, but i think it was because of his lack of confidence, and still coming back from injury wasn’t he?
I’m not trying to say the likes of song or eboue should play in these positions, but just that the alternatives currently aren’t any better unfortunately!
I really can’t wait until 12 months time, with wilshere, ramsey, cesc, nasri, vela, theo, bendtner all developing properly together, our squad could be so strong, with exactly the same players we have now!
i dunno stu, i don’t rate him massively, but wouldn’t mind a sub for clichy, he’s much better than gibbs at least, or silvestre playing there! Won’t happen anyways because he’d cost money, if it was free i’d consider it!
anyways, should try and get some shut eye, nice chatting to you stu and rasdef, night
Stu-good point Eboue did lose a lot of quality in his play. Another good point is that is also dont like players talking against thier club, like Robino during the summer. One thing is i’m pretty sure wenger doent like it too, thats why we’re lucky no to get players that speek too loud..
Have a good one -A-, find a better name mate!
* players that dont speek too loud! Arsenal is not only a world fan base but a community too..
A, Agreed about next year. Its a very exciting prospect but could be just as disapoining if we dont bring in some quality in the summer. The spine is the priority and we have a pretty weak one.
I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on Eboue and Songs od positioning because i will never like or understand it.
Night A. Sleep tight and right.
I dont know what that means either but it fits because you cant sleep so…
True next year we should have all the money to spend but all the prospects will be amazing, its a shame that we dont compet more this year!
t2 morowrs prediction 3-0 Ade hat trick!!
call it a night, have a good one stu!!!
Getting 4th spot for this season is obviously top of the to-do list but we should also be looking to start some of the preperation for next season. We need to hit the ground running if we are to end our drought.
In the summer i suggest buying a keeper if Fabianski hasnt stepped up and taken the no.1 spot yet. All i know is we wont win anything with Almunia.
A new defence (centrally anyhow) and a stronger, more reliable spine is vital. A consistent spine is vital for consistency and then the players are easily interchangable around that (wingers and fullbacks).
I’ll go for a 2-1 win or a 3-1 win. Either way we will concede and make it tough.
I should really go to sleep aswell. Night RasDef.
good one man
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hinted that negotiations aimed at bringing Zenit St Petersburg forward Andrei Arshavin to the club are progressing well.
Arshavin has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this month and it was reported earlier this week that talks had begun over the transfer of the Russian forward, who could cost up to £20million.
Wenger, refused to rule out a move for Arshavin last week but remained coy when asked about whether the 27-year-old was close to signing for the Gunners.
”We do not want to talk too much about who we want to buy,” Wenger told Arsenal TV online. ”At the moment I cannot give you any good news but in this job no news is good news. Nothing has fallen through. We are on alert in the transfer market.”
He also hinted that he was also in the market for a defensive midfielder to bolster his injury-hit squad.
”That is also a priority,” he said. ”We are not in the big league. We are a little short because we wanted a player like (Tomas) Rosicky to play 80% of games and he has not played at all.
”We want to spend money but as everyone knows, and as the the chairman has said, we have money available but we have limited resources, and you want to spend it in the best way possible.”
The Frenchman also quashed rumours that Kolo Toure, who recently retracted a transfer request, could leave the Emirates and was adamant that nobody will leave the club this month.
”That (Toure story) is finished. We will not sell any players this month.”
i hope to god its vela on the left and nasri in the middle
I am disappointed there are no stories about Hangeland and us. In the Dein era, that would have meant that Hangelaand was headed here, but in the current era, looks like it could be Upson.
Interesting AW referenced “the chairman”!
Hope that means that he is under orders to spend.
I would guess his transfer budget is around 20m. If he gets Arshavin for 12-15, that will leave just about enough for Upson.
Are we over 1000 yet?
5 more to go after this one, so looks like we’ll cross a thousand posts!
Let see if we can break that mark then!
Starting from this window, we should start building for an all out attack on all fronts. With the right mix of youth and experience (either gained or brought) we can easily win the CC.
More experience and ability for the FA cup.
We could win the prem if we added some strength in depth. The key is strength in depth or avoiding injuries completely, neither of which we have anymore.
And the for the CL we either need a different manager (because AW seems destined to never win it) or improved organisation throughout the team and clinicalness up front. Again we dont really have either.
998th!
999th!!!!!!!!!!
And as the awaited destination is reached there is a disappointing anti-climax. Very like the season so far, eventful yet unexciting……………………………..1000th!!!
hip hip —horray

stu
the key to winning the C.L is depth ! our bench is lite – on . and add in to the mix constant injuries
and long term missing personnel , and the ANC every 2nd year and you have your answer why wenger will never win the C.L …
By the knock out stages of the C.L (jan ) most of our remaining stars are out injured !
mind you we probably wont have this problem next year the way we are going anyhow !
\Ethan, who knows, maybe in our year in the uefa cup we might win it. Heres hoping, right?
ethan,
the more i read your posts, the more i agree with you, though i didn’t a while back.let’s look at the facts as a team our general performance this season is the worst since wenger took over, only winning half our games.in personnel of experience,we have by numbers alone a smaller less experienced squad,to such an extent if just one more player sustains a long term injury, which is feasable,we really are down to the bare bones,a phrase wenger used himself 12 months ago.it’s not rocket science that we have already conceded 23 goals that the various defensive partnerships together with a lack of confidence or authority by almunia and a no nonsense holding midfielder are all missing.
when wenger states no one is leaving NOW,that is the operative word.the rosicky situation is laughable,he has been out for a year and he should have at least been covered for in the summer.add the inhouse fighting and yet another captain(toure) today, shows that wenger has rigidly stuck to his scrooge like policy and put nearly all the emphasis on buying young.that is in itself a huge gambe,as there is no guarantee that wilshere, ramsey etc will actually make it at the top flight in 3 years or so.of course i want them to achieve with us,but i bet you several more players like gallas, toure, bedntner and eboue will be gone in the summer, which many will argue is a good thing,PROVIDED they are replaced with better more experienced players.Show me a run of half a dozen games on the trot, were we look like a hungry consistant team winning games, then i might change my mind.we are currently 5th and our performances resemble a lower to relegation outfit.basic improvements such as retaining the ball with a few minutes left, vunerable as ever to set pieces aree the same as before.i wonder what coaching to improve these defencies are actually worked on.we are miles away from winning the league, and with careful planning over the last 4 years with the odd additional acquisition,we wouldn’t be in this mess.
Does anyone on this site play the Daily Telegraph’s Fantasy Football?
And if so, have they noticed that there appears to be errors with players’ points?
For example, N. Vidic’s started 17 times yet is down as having started 18 times.
As such, his tally is off by 6 points (he’s been awarded with an extra clean sheet, to boot).
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks
The game ins’t even being shown live down here, & Fox sports is showing Villa V WBA then; 5 live games Viewers Choice then Stoke V Liverpool. Arsenal doesn’t rate, thats how far The Club has slipped. No exposure here, is bad business I would have thought
Is that right gg?
I was actually looking forward to viewing that match.
What a shame.
Foxtel need a good kicking.
same here,gnarley i am afraid.
i am still not convinced we are signing arshavin, why wait 10 days to 2 weeks.so many deals happen at the 11th hour.the stumbling block is as always money.i bet you we don’t go beyond 10/12 million and then there is the other thing his cut in wages from 90k a wekk to what.
Max
The Arsenal hierachy need the kicking IMO. There was a time where you automatically knew if they were playing, they would be on. Now they have obviously slipped in the pecking order for TV ratings.
Kelsey there was a time when The Arsenal set the standards, now they just seem to be content to jolly themselves over a deal that is skewed in their favour, rather than being like the Canadian Mountie, always getting their man
kelsey
cheers , our defensive record has been poor , but i think we have the experience there …
also the EGO’s to boot ..
we all said at 1st toure and gallas cant play together .
and now we see they don’t like each other ..
so is that any great surprise ? im sure either gallas or toure will move on in the next 6 months anyhow ..
As for arshavin , i did say prior to the transfer window opening we would have to sell someone prior to buying ..
my hunch is arshavins deals possibly 80 % done , but as ever (a la nasri-hleb)
we are having to sell
prior to buying ..
i could be wrong on that one … but i could be right ..
That sounds about right.
I hate this hierarchy with a passion, but Arsenal is still Arsenal.
Can’t remember a time last season when they were not televised, especially at home. They’d come on like clockwork.
But times they are a changing. We’re simply not what we used to be.
Thanking AW and the Board.
Gday all, just back from the pub and i love you all!
whats the chat, who have we signed and who are we going to beat?
Ethan
He just said he won’t sell.
I think we’re still gonna buy……..we just need to sort out the remaining GBP 8m ish…. (Assuming we have the GBP 10m)
Where the hell does Arsenal spend it’s money seriously…….we’re always skint………
NEW POST!

huge loan repayments are drying the arsenal coffers! , repay a loan of 400 mil for the stadium , coupled with construction costs for highbury weighing around 300 mil currently and you have a 500- 600 mil debt that has to be repaid monthly ..
i think stan the man is buying arshavin for us , if we dont sell prior that is …
but what we lack is a RICH board member to flick us a loan !
im sure thats where stan comes in to the mix …
