Give the bully boys a bloody nose.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So tomorrow we entertain the Premiership bullies, we welcome back to the Grove Kevin ‘the elbow’ Davies and his horrible mates, we also welcome back Fabrice Muamba, who I do rate but I think tomorrow we will get to see an interesting team, tomorrow we have no fish head and no Gallas, so he has to play Kolo and Djourou, I hope he does anyway because I think that will decide if the boss buys any new defenders in the window.

I have a feeling he’ll play Song in there with Djourou but let’s hope it’s Kolo.

The wing backs should be Sagna and Clichy, but I wouldn’t object to seeing Gibbs in there either, the wingers are a different kettle of fish though, we won’t have Arshavin on the left on account he hasn’t bought him yet, so I expect he’ll play Nasri out there, Diaby and Denilson will take up the middle with Eboue out right, with Ade and Robin up top.

Now what I would prefer is Vela left and Wilshere right with Nasri and Diaby/Ramsey in the middle but somehow I don’t think he do that, we may even see Bendtner and Ade as he might think this will be too physical for Robin and want some height in their to combat their size.

I remember the days when a visit from Bolton meant 3 points and a hatful of goals, but we’re a bit lightweight these days, however if he goes with the skilful set up, he may just surprise them, whoever he picks though, we should win, if we have any title aspirations left, tomorrow is a game when we could do some catching up.

So Arsenal, up and at them from the off and let your skill and pace overpower them from the kick off.

We had a bit of politics going on in the early hours, let me just say this blog doesn’t take sides won’t let this site be a billboard for those that want to, so please leave any thoughts you may have off Le Grove.

The only petition I will sign is one that gets rid of three players and replaces them with some world class stars, if you want to propose that, then I’ll put you on.

I have not had an answer from Danny Fizman so if you’re reading Danny, it’s not too late, don’t forget, I support you.

It’s Friday so maybe today we’ll have some good news, the spuds are now after Inler, another old target, I figure Wenger should just give Harry a list of players we want and it will save Tottenham having a scouting network.

I often wonder why Arsenal have such a large scouting network when we don’t buy anyone anyway, surely they could save a few bob there!

Have a great day Grovers, 3 points tomorrow, close the gap and unviel some new signings at the home of football before kick off, I know, wake up, still the three points will do nicely eh!

I just dont think we need any more of that type of forward. We have enough forwards that drop deep looking for the ball etc. We need a big CF who will saty in the ox and always work the defence and keeper.

Ade used to be that but now seems to think he can play.

  2. A

podolski is just a carbon copy of vela, no point signing him. VP was more of a left winger, or support striker when we signed him, but we’ve mainly played him up top.

yeah i agree about ade stu, he drops deep when he’s crap on the ball, really frustrating

  3. Maciek

    Evening!
Stu if You want big and strong centre forward You should sell Ade and Bendy.Besides, aside from Pogrebnyak-who could really do a job for us Don’t tell me Gomis-he is an average player.

  4. Maciek

Even if we do sign Arshavin, it won’t be enough. We sttill need a cd and adm.
    Arshavin,
    Hangeland
Cana,Veloso,Bullard or Parker and we are sorted.

  5. Stu

ould never suggest Gomis or even Gomez.

Being able to find a big CF should be easy if we have such a great scouting system, but alas we only seem to scout teens and younger.

  6. Stu

Bullard isnt a DM tho and is almost 30.

Fabianski doesnt seem ready yet tho and isnt getting enough chances to improve. Obviously i would play him not but Almunia doesnt seem like getting dropped unless he is sold.

  7. Stu

Agreed. What we need is competition for places because a lot of our players know that no matter how they perform chances are their situation wont change.

Almunia, Gallas, Denilson, Song, Eboue etc know that even if they play horribly or cost us points they will still lay next week and dont worry about their own game level.

Likewise Fabianski, Vela and the kids know that no matter how well they play they wont play next time.

  8. Stu

Stekelenberg, Chiellini, Toulalan, v.d.vaart, Villa-they would be dream signings.

Realistically- no GK, no CB, Arshavin, noone. Maybe he will sign a few unknowns 11year olds from nowhere and BANG- we will win the title in a few decades.

Just 1 player cant change a season. It can certainly help but wont wim us anything.

  9. Maciek

Yes-agree. That’s why I was furious when Wenger said today that he isn’t after any defensive player. What a stubborn man!!!!!!
Ok-I;m must go. Maybe in the next week there will be more interesting transfers stories about Arsenal. And one more thing-why are and how are spurs overspending us every summer?
    Nighty night Stu!!

  10. bergkamp

easy folks, whats the talk?? did someone say robin isnt clinical and its ade an niks fault because all his shots are from funny angles lol, classic

  11. Evo in Oz

so its seems the arseshaving deal could still be on if the price is right for us, i just saw wengers press conference on setanta!

i hope to fuck we sign him and then another 1-2 more after that!

  12. Maciek

I’m ok, mate, thanks. But I’m starting to be frustrated with Wenger.Today he sad that he won’t be after any defensive player, when it’s obvious that we need at least 2(cd and cdm). Since Dein’s departure, it’s so frustrating to be an Arsenal fan.

  13. Evo in Oz

it appears that might not be quite true Maciek, this is cut and paste from his press conference….

And when asked if Arsenal will sign any players in during the transfer window, Wenger revealed that a defensive midfielder was a “priority”.

However, the Frenchman refused to identify his targets, saying: “We do not want to talk too much about who we want to buy.

“At the moment I cannot give you any good news but in this job no news is good news. Nothing has fallen through. We are on alert in the transfer market.”

  14. Stu

Toure is set to become the 7th different captain tomorrow. Its ridiculas that there is never any consistency in anything this season.

  15. Maciek

Evo-we probably end up empty handed. Zenit wants 20 milion, we have offered 12 milion. I feel, that City will outbid us and snap him from under our noses.

  16. JonJon

    hey maciek how are ya

yeah bergy i think we are going to be up for it tomorrow

the players have been giving the right signals and so has the manager recently,

someones in for a hiding and its going to be bolton

  17. Stu

But JJ and Bergkamp, how many times this season have you thought we would push on and batter a “weak” team only to escape with a draw or win by 1 poor goal?

  18. Evo in Oz

yeah i think wenger might bring in one player and it will be one of those signings from left field so man citeh dont snap him up first

  19. JonJon

    maciek

i truly believe we already have agreed terms with ash and now we are just agreeing a fee, zenit wont get 20mil of anyone

ashs contract is up next year and he can buy himself out for 5mil

we could well get him for less than 12.

we’ll just have to wait and see.

  20. bergkamp

stu thats true, but i just have the feeling, see me im a man who gets a feeling, i predict plenty draws and dropped points this season on a friday, tommorow i can see a 4-1 seriously

  21. JonJon

its the start of a new year stu, its a transfer window and wenger has said hes looking

the players will be up for it tomorrow just to prove a point mate.

    bolton are in for it.

  22. Stu

I hope your right Bergy but that could also work against us in the transfer market. Wenger will argue he doesnt need to buy.

  23. bergkamp

arshavin has pretty much chosen arsenal, his club are just hopin barca come in with a bigger offer, arshavin would go there,if man city bid more i dont think he will go there anyway so our bid is pretty much on the table they just waiting to see if better business comes

  24. bergkamp

stu, what wenger tells the press and what he plans are two different things, iv seen wenger talk on tv givin his team credit for a draw and iv had it from good sources things were gettin destroyed in the dressing room, wenger just talks and talks, its a bit unfair because his own followers read into it but i wouldnt bother

  25. bergkamp

and i think wenger knows whats needed now stu,i think he had to give denilson and song and a couple others a shot, well they have had it now, but he will only buy his targets,if they are not available he wont just buy anyone

  26. Maciek

    Jon-I’m fine. Thanks!
Bergkamp-yes, You are right but I can’t understand why we always seem to offer less than required for any player. For example-Ribery-OM wanted 17mln pounds and we have tabled 15 milion pound offer. Bayern paid all the money and they have snapped him.The same is with Berbatov. Wenger was afraid of paying 10.5 milion so Spurs bought him and sold him for 30 mln. My point is, that in footbal is better to show some ambition, especially if You have got the highest ticket prices in the world.

  27. bergkamp

i think the main stumbling block for arshavin is the payments, they want a 1 off payment, them rich fuckers dont like credit, english clubs pay installments, them lot bought a player in the summer for 24mill in one payment

  28. JonJon

thats why zenit went public, they know there are losing him for a price way short and they are wanting a bidding war, theyve been dry bummed, but if barca come in we’ll get dry bummed too

ash holds all the cards but i feel we must of already agreed terms or else somebody would of been in by now.

  29. bergkamp

lol maciek, ribery is practically german,he chose bayernbecause he supported them,he is one of them german stoways ,son of an on the run german war vet, some french are practically german and he is one, wenger too

  30. bergkamp

its no coincidence that no one but spurs were willing to pay anything for arshavin in the summer, they all knew the deal,he wasnt fresh and his contract was about to change his fee, thats why he didnt get a summer move

  31. Maciek

Stii, even if we bring Arshavin to our Club and don’t invest in cd and adm we are finished and Villa will be above us.

  32. bergkamp

although id like to sign ribery i wouldnt even diss the pink boots, those are mens boots when ribery dons them

  33. Stu

He is probably waiting to unveil everyone at the same time, like he did with Theo, Ade and Diaby in 05-06. I just hope we make better signings than them.

  34. bergkamp

i cant even really be bothered with speculation no more,im just gonna wait and see,if no one comes in i aint even gonna stress,i can see a run of 4 wins coming on,thats a start

  35. JonJon

yup ive just emailed him to get his attention,

im with that on the ash thing, everyone knew bout his contract except for spurs and they pulled out cos they are divs.

ribery could get away with 1 pink and 1 green boot

  36. bergkamp

berba, yeah another lazy git, fergie is a top motivator,he cant even get berba fired up,imagine if u put him in our team

  37. bergkamp

its got nothing to do with germany anyway, its more to do with the fact ribery followed bayern as a boy,i found it cowardly going to a weak league but to be honest the german league is pretty good, full stadiums, fast game, plenty money,it could take over europe in a few years

  38. JonJon

    evo

bergy and me are going to walk through cardiff in leeds shirts burning their flag if we go on an 8 game winning run

  39. JonJon

    the german teams are loaded

fifa want to model football worldwide on germany

we are the only team outside germany that work within our own means, every club in germany have done this for years, they have pots of cash

  40. bergkamp

lol JonJon spurs dont get included in big names unless they stump up or no one wants them and the player badly needs to move,im sad they ruined gio though,he looked good playing for barca

  41. bergkamp

see in germany they are sporting clubs, they have hockey teams and shyt using the same names and basket ball teams, but they are owned by huge companys like benz or colgate lol

  42. Maciek

Stu-cos You have said that he was a bad signing. And as for Ade-I’m not an Ade lover but he scored 30 goals a year ago.But I agree on Diaby.

  43. JonJon

bergy thats 3 of us now

    weve got a mini army

i bet jacks got a mini army in his bedroom, under the bunkbed in the toybox next to the scalextric

  44. bergkamp

i reckon jack has them little toy soldiers and a GI joe with a parachute and when they have a players daytrip ade lets jack sit on his shoulders and arsene carrys his school books

  45. JonJon

    hahaha

and pat rice carrys his bluebird lunchbox with the handle, containing crustless sarnys and a carton of umbongo

and wengers got a note from his mum in his pocket telling him to keep his hat on so his face dont get sunburnt

  46. bergkamp

that is exactly the life of jack, except what they dont know is he sleeps with a stella 6pac and he dont need a readers wifes coz gael clichy has hooked him up with a couple topheavy babes

  47. bergkamp

he failed his english exam,he hasnt need to speak a word since he met giles grimandi watching him kick ball through a pair of binoculars

  48. JonJon

you know jack dont have any problems with the honeys, he gets all the 16 year olds who colleen rooneys there idol

  49. Evo in Oz

so what does everyone reckon about any signings…

if at all, do you think they will be this next week, or right up till the last day?

  50. bergkamp

i think managers want to get the most out of their players so while there is four or so more games in this transfer window i think clubs will want to hold on to their best players if they are leaving just for those games, they could make a difference to a seasons points tally afterall, some managers will even be hopin those players get injured so they cant leave

  51. bergkamp

plus why sell to the first bidder, look how long spurs waited till they sold berba, its part of the game i think

  52. Stu

But Spurs didnt want to let Berba go to united. It was an illegal meeting between Fergie and Berba on the final day. That meeting wasnt known of by Spuds.

  53. bergkamp

a bit like gallas with the injury?? lol nah gallas is only out for 3 weeks,i think doctors could pass him fit for a medical,i mean injured for like a couple months

  54. JonJon

fergie stole him at the airport and he signed the deal

manutd offered them extra cash and campbell in a bid to stop them complaining and spuds took it cos they are pussys

  55. bergkamp

see but spurs are guilty too, look at the cryin they do and then they go around naming the players that they want to unsettle them and it dont matter because its players no one else rates like downing, bidding 6 mill an gettin him to hand in a request, then defoe the spurs boy, when harry gets sacked soo or the twitch forces him to quit through injury defoe will be back on the bench when a decent foriegn boss gets his 2 weeks for warld domination

  56. JonJon

    haha

fergies the worst one for it

look how he stole carrick rooney ferdinand van der sar as well as berba

    all tapped up

as soon as real do it to him hes crying to the authorities

  57. JonJon

silvestre could stop one of rvp shots going into space with that head.

how the fuck was he born???

must of been a C section.

  58. bergkamp

well, tapping up is part of the game,a foul is a foul, and tapping up is kinda like a foul, you do it but u hope no one see’s or they see it a bit late (a few years for tapping up) then it dont matter, only arsenal dont seem to do it,or maybe we do, arshavin is meant to be known on the arsenal training ground already

  59. bergkamp

nah his legs came out first, gettin his head out was a problem JonJon,all that pulling streatched his head and made it 4ft tall instead of bein a fat head

  60. bergkamp

he spoke to yaya on the phone pre season,or maybe he just dialed the wrong brother by accident,or maybe he wasnt tapping him up he just wanted to know what he could buy kolo for christmas

  61. A

no we don’t do it bergkamp, because it’s wrong, and we’re one club with principles, and i’m very proud of that fact

  62. bergkamp

lol A yeah right, everyone does it,but they do it via a player or an agent, it can only be proved if the player comes out and talks,he wouldnt be doing his fellow pro’s a favour though would he

  63. JonJon

    we do tap up A

we tapped up campbell cesc merida and most of the kids in the youth ranks

just because we dont sign big names dont mean we dont tap up. we just dont go public like the rest of the other clubs do when they pay 30 mil plus for players

paying clubs 250k for a player doesnt get that much coverage and thats why we give the impression we dont tap up but we do

  64. bergkamp

if wenger wanted to for instance speak to frank lampard well im sure frank would answer his phone, they probably know each other a little bit,why cant one friend call another for a chat, thats tapping up?

  65. bergkamp

we probably dont discuss contracts like others, and money, but arsene probably checks with the player to see if its worth him makin a bid

  66. A

we didn’t tap up campbell, we were allowed to speak to him because his contract was expiring, and we didn’t tap up the kids as such. Kids aren’t allowed to be properly contracted to clubs, because obviously they’re kids, they can’t be “owned” by clubs until they’re deemed adults, so are allowed to do what they want until then….

There’s a difference between registering an interest with a player’s agent, so see whether it’s worth making an official approach, which all clubs do, and attempting to unsettle a player by constantly going on about players in press conferences, through the press, or meeting players and agents etc secretly behind the clubs back, which the likes of utd, chelsea, madrid, the milans and spuds and such like do

  67. JonJon

    thats it bergy

wenger would just phone yaya and say kolos not well, what did your mother used to give him as medicine when he was ill cos the calpol isnt working, and yaya would say shall i come to arsenal and see if that works, and wenger would say wold you like to, and yaya says sure, then wenger makes a bid.

  68. A

yeah exactly bergkamp. We don’t go on and on to players meeting them or through the press in an attempt to force the other club to sell, because we do have some principles which other clubs lack completely

  69. bergkamp

lmaooooo ,or he trys this one….yaya pal, were having a pary,do you want to come to the party?? there isnt as much cake involved but its still plenty lmaoooo

  70. JonJon

thats what i said earlier A

because the kids havent signed a pro contract it isnt classed as tapping up, but a fottballers a footballer, tapping up is tapping up,wenger just found a loophole.

as for campbell, we spoke to campbell a year before his contract ran out and offered him a massive contract and a massive sign on fee cos we wouldnt have to pay a fee, and sol let his contract run down.

if thats not tapping up then i dont know what is, he practically signed for us a year in advance, thats why nobody else went in for him.

  71. JonJon

    i agre with that A

we stay classy in the respect we dont go public with it all, which is the way it should be done, but the other teams love to flex their muscles in public

the spanish teams do it cos their presidents are elected and one of the things that gets them elected is their transfer targets, they shout their mouth of about everyone and anyone just to get elected, but blatter and platini wont have a bad word said about the spanish league so they get away with it

if we did that we’d priobably end up getting thrown out of the CL and being deducted 20points

  72. JonJon

    hahahahha

yaya, theres hats and poppers and everything, even your own pen when we play sign your name on the dotted line competition, kolo says you wont win it, i bet you can.

  73. bergkamp

the thing is if you do it you have to make sure that you make the signing,a lot of stuff has to be agreed with the player,he practically has to have signed a contract, because uefa or fifa cant touch you once the oposition cash that cheque

  74. A

i disagree jonjon, a footballer isn’t a footballer, they’re real life people, not just footballers to be bought and sold! A child isn’t the same as an adult, it’s not a loophole, it’s the way the law should be, children shouldn’t be able to be bought or sold, as they aren’t old enough to make a definitive decision on what’s right for them, and their parents or guardians shouldn’t be allowed to make decisions for them either that they’re forced to stick with once they come of age!

if a players contract is running out, he’s legally entitled to talk to a propective future employer he’d join when his contract runs out, and clubs are allowed to approach players with contracts nearing it’s end. That’s what happened with the bosman ruling, it was ruled that it should be made legal, and isn’t tapping up in the slightest as a result…. Players are even allowed to sign pre-contract agreements before their contract even expires, let alone just talking to the club, although we don’t know which was the case with sol.

  75. bergkamp

lol how comes yaya was flattered by man citys interest,he hates us i reckon for knocking him back,he didnt give a shyt bein linked to us

  76. bergkamp

the bosman ruling came about because a players contract run out and the club wouldnt sell him, thats fucked up, BUT sylvain wiltord was tapped up

  77. bergkamp

id say a lot of it isnt as much the clubs as we think,i think players are being touted by their agents and they agents are doin it under orders of the players as well

  78. A

anyways guys, i’m off to bed. Here’s to a jay simpson hattrick at lunchtime tomorrow followed by an absolute trouncing of bolton, with arshavin and yaya being paraded to the crowd before kick off, and a brace of rory delap throw in type goals putting liverpool in their place

  79. A

you sure bergkamp? i thought we just tried to sign him, bordeaux said they wouldn’t let him go and he said he wanted to leave. We didn’t go behind bordeaux’s back or anything like that

  80. bergkamp

the thing is were always a victim,i dunno why we sit around, were a fucking big ass tiger that could kill easily, but we prefer gettin mugged regular just so we can go to heaven oneday, next time a bid comes for one of ours we should bid for our replacement target an everytime a chairman or agent talks shyt we should mirror it in the pursuit of the player we are tryin to steal on the cheap

  81. bergkamp

the thing is were always a victim,i dunno why we sit around, were a fucking big ass tiger that could kill easily, but we prefer gettin mugged regular just so we can go to heaven oneday, next time a bid comes for one of ours we should bid for our replacement target an everytime a chairman or agent talks shyt we should mirror it in the pursuit of the player we are tryin to steal on the cheap, see if fifa ban us then when we act like barca at the same time as barca do it to us

  82. A

the only things i can find when i google it is that the transfer seemed fucked because bordeaux slapped a 13 mil pricetag on his head, but that’s what we ended up paying?!

Either way i’m pretty sure bordeaux didn’t make any accusations did they??

I dunno, i can’t remember so i can’t say either way, can’t remember us ever being accused of tapping up though??

    anyways, nite

  83. bergkamp

but wenger agreed with fergie regarding the fixtures, benitez is losing the mind games reading from a piece of paper and stuttering all over tv,once u diss one ref too they all wanna fuck ur ass, thats why i wish wenger would shut it

  84. bergkamp

they didnt complain because they could only accuse wiltord but a club with standards and a club that is all for justice wouldnt sign a player that was happy to strike A,my opinion
