When Mrs Bear asked me what I really wanted for Christmas I said Green, Chelleini, Alonso and David Villa, she said to me ‘don’t be stupid, everyone knows Arsenal don’t spend money anymore’

She didn’t really, but you get my drift, I really hope that we make some signings in the window because we all know we need them and if he signs one of them it will really make my Christmas.

A short but happy festive post Grovers, whatever your religion and wherever you live let’s not forget to have fun and celebrate Santa’s birthday.

Also remember to drink sensibly and responsibly, being drunk is not big and it’s not cool and whatever else you do, don’t buy a puppy for anyone, a puppy is for life (are you listening Arsene)

Pedro and I would like to wish you all a happy Christmas and to thank you all for all your support this last two seasons, tomorrow’s a big game, win that and we’ll win the league, oh yeah and it will snow today, right!

    Arsenal will push through a deal to sign Fluminense striker Wellington in the New Year, Young Guns understands.

    The 15-year-old starlet recently completed a 7 day trial with the Gunners, and after playing 45 minutes against Norwich Under 16’s last week, he left a massive impression on the coaching staff.

    Steve Gatting’s boys ran out 8-4 winners over their City counterparts, with the on trial Brazilian netting four. Fellow countryman Luis Gustavo Conte was also being assessed, he played the first half at centre back.

    Wellington’s finishing prowess was highlighted yesterday on Young Guns with this video, and it seems he continued that form during his stay in England. It will now be up to Steve Rowley and South American scout Sandro Orlandelli to broker the deal for the prospect.

    Fluminense’s chairman has already spoken of his desire to keep the Brazil Under 16 international, yet the players parents are keen to secure a contract with the Gunners.

    The deal is expected to go through towards the end of next month. It would prove to be a significant coup for Arsenal, who already boast South American youngsters in the form of Denílson and Pedro Botelho.

    About this Andrei Arshavin story. and to behonest if he was that good he would have been snaped up when he was in his early 20′s and not late 20′s

    i just think He is or The AGENT is looking for a big pay deal before he hits his 30′s then he can relax knowing his safe in turms of making it on a financial scale.

    as in todays football world. there is not many players who would be up for grabs with such great ability now days. so what makes Andrei Arshavin so great next to players like

    - Mikel Arteta,
    - Alonso, Who WAS available at the right price. (but not now i say)
    - and countless others

    i wouldnt say No to signing him. but for even 15 mill could be a little steep for a Player who has been in the Mother Land all his life.

    Barnetta wouldnt be more tan 10m and is only 23. A better option imo.

    Well down here its Boxing Day, arguably one of the biggest days in the Australian sporting calender. Start of the Boxing Day Test @ The G and the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. Normally a big beer drinking sort of day.

    Then ofcourse we cross to Old Blighty for the Boxing Day fixture of the Premier League. Aaaaahhhhhh!!!! don’t you just love sport :P

    I read the full interview or whatever it was. Nik didnt just say play me or i’ll leave. He said he wants to stay and be a success here for many years but if he doesnt get the opportunities or whatever he will have to consider leaving.
