Arsene’s prudence means the only pot we’ll win will be an Uzbek.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Here’s the deal, we charge more than any other club in the world to see a football match, fact. We have won nothing for 3 seasons, fact.

By the end of next season we could be debt free, fact. Will the fans be happy? No. Will more people sell their shares, yes. Usmanov already has 149 more than he had a month ago according to reports yesterday.

So no matter what Wenger does after this season, he can’t stop Usmanov becoming the majority Arsenal shareholder, fact. Even the lockdown can’t stop people like me selling their shares to the rotund Uzbek.

So then what could happen? This could happen. He could come in and loan us £300 million with the remit of win everything, if you don’t want to buy players Arsene I’ll employ Maureen and he will, your choice.

Then we’ll be the most successful club in the world that owns its own stadium, but has a huge debt, will you the fan care? Probably not, will he care? No.

So that’s the future Arsene and the current board, you may well be ‘not buying’ your way into a takeover through your ‘stinginess’ and ‘lack of success’ and how many people out there that support this great club will give a rats arse? Probably none, and that includes the players.

Sure, maybe Cesc will go, because he wants an excuse to go home anyway, Song will go because anyone coming in will realise how useless he is and let him go, so be warned Arsenal, the writing is on the wall, and after Saturday do I care? No quite frankly, I don’t.

You summed it up yesterday by deeming it more important to sell me ‘Jumbo Christmas cards’ than to tell me you will be reinforcing this great club in January because your experiment isn’t ready yet.

Arsenal’s mantra is to skin the fans first and worry about winning stuff second.

And you know what though, all this will happen and we’ll have a Kenyon installed because Dein has split with Red and White, so not even a silver cloud.

Unless someone from Arsenal wants to tell me any different?

AKB’s do with that as you will, I’m an Arsenal fan are you?

You want our advice the board? Go make up with Dein, get your cheque book out and tell Wenger to start acting like he’s in the Premiership, not the conference, oh and stop lying to us, that’s not so cool.

Update: Theo is out for up to 3 months after dislocating his shoulder. Theo is just as injury prone as Rosicky… we really are heading up shit creek at the moment…

    Geoff,

I hope he gets THE chance to learn from it. The sooner he is reinstated the better I feel.

In my book there is no-one better qualified for the COE than him.

  2. Geoff

Thanks Chary and thanks Rico, I’m off now and that clip made me feel all warm inside knowing another 10 year old is on his way.

  3. rico01

Wrighty – I reckon Karen Brady should be Double Diamonds replacement, i dont think its always such a good thing to ‘go back’

  4. Big Raddy

Not sure ablout KB Rico. But I agree about DD. It’s irrevelant anyway, as he will never be accepted by the current Board, nor Kroenke. After all, despite supporting Kroenke in the initial stages of the discusssions, he shafted him and went to the ‘DarkSide’.

Who would trust him now ?

It seems as though we are once again without a Plan B. Plan A was the Celtic CEO, when he turned us down, there was no-one as backup. Crass bad management once again.

  5. Wolski

Rico…well why does that not surprise me….just what we need another kid….just about sums things up..we need experience and he is looking at more youth….man… has he lost it

  6. gazzap

None of the teams that got a result off us have been dirty, maybe except Stoke, but I only saw the highlights of that game. the others have all done it by simply defending well and being organised. being well organised is not something that has been cooked up post invincibles. Lawrenson and Hansen might be at fault for telling others its OK to get stuck in against us but good defending has existed for many years.

when we were brilliant dont you think teams were more likely to try and come and get men behind the ball? now we are crap dont you think its more likely that teams will actually come and have a go? I think thats another reason why we are losing so many. teams dont rate us anymore so they have a go and are getting a lot of joy.

  7. David

So next we play Man City. I want to know, are we going to play some great football and get a nice win against the Premiership’s richest club? Or are we going to play like we don’t give a shit again and curl up and die?

  8. rico01

Raddy – there was also mention of a top Vodafone boss, a Gooner aswell, cant remember his name, but for me, anyone with a financial brain, big of get up and go would be better than nothing, but DD, he is like his name sake, history (imho) ;)

  9. Pedro

Gazzap, that is a good point.

Teams are beating us now by playing good football.

It was interesting that Sidwell said Arsenal are now seen as a team you look to take points from… because we aren’t clinical like Liverpool, Chelsea and ManU.

That is a really shit thing to hear from an ex player… mainly because it is true.

  10. Arsenal Tom

we need someone from the football world i think so they can slot right in to doing the transfers without needing it all explained by our stuffy old board

  11. rico01

Wrighty – i thought she had been cleared of any naughtiness ages ago ? could be wrong though, maybe that was why Bruce got out of B;ham so quickly

Got to go again :( Catch you later, no doubt we will all be watching our respective national teams……. I WONT!! :)

  12. Wrighty7

    Pedro,

That is very true what Sidwell said mate. Arsenal have lost their fear factor. There was a time when teams facing us were beat in the tunnel before the game.

We are looked at as the soft touch of the top four!

  13. Big Raddy

There has been a lot of chat on here about the side not trying last Saturday. Not only do I not agree with that, I think it insults the players.

. In particular Nik B. who ran his socks off, against a 5 man defensive shield, and with little assistance. He may have had a poor game, but one could not accuse him of not trying. He went all over the pitch to get the ball.

Sure we were outplayed, and the work levels of AV were phenomenal. But our boys walked off the pitch totally knackered. Our loss had nothing to do with lack of heart or ambition. We just got beaten by a better side.

No-one ‘curled up and died’, we were still trying desperately to get back into the game until the final minutes.

  14. Pedro

    Ahh… the air has cleared!

I hate international week… it is so dull… and all our players come back broken.

So… the return of the Pass master for 3 months… not good. :-(

  15. Pedro

I was thinking about getting a definitions page going…

    Blogfart
    Mother fungler
    AKB
    Twunt
    DD
    LJW
    Chav
    Manc
    Bindipper

So many words that need explaining to newcomers!

  16. Pedro

No… No Theo for 3 months and I am guessing Eboue will replace him!

I read in the standard that doctors reckon his shoulder will never cure… he’ll have to manage it.

Not the sort of info you’d wish stoke players to know.

  17. Alex

    Dolphinhead = Diarra

    Fishhead = Silvestre

    Beachbum = Almunia

    Pass Master = Eboue (!?)

    Lewis Hamilton = Walcott

    Zidane = Nasri

    Dudu = Our number 9

  18. Pedro

Hey, me and my mate were talking earlier about the publishing of the BNP members on the web.

Is it anyone’s business where your political affiliations lie? The BNP aren’t to my tastes… but they’re not outlawed are they? I thought your vote was up to you…?

  19. Pedro

You are a homopobe though Wrighty… terrorising homosexuals with pictures of pink boots!

They are shocking. My brother was looking at them at the weekend and I told him in no uncertain terms that if he bought them… he would not play.

They’d make you a target for violence on the pitch! It’s like wearing an alice band… or white boots. You’d better make sure you a amazing to pull it off!

  20. Wrighty7

    Pedro,

You watching England tonight? I’m tempted to give it a miss! I only watch them because I feel I HAVE too!

I might even watch Wales instead, see how Ramsey performs……….

  21. patthegooner

Not happy with this report of Vela going on loan………

Unless we are bringing in David Villa,

Etiher way I think it is more Nic Bendtner that needs a loan period.

Oh and if that story of Gallas in the canteen is true, he should be sacked as Captain and from the Club. That is not Leadership or a good example to give to the rest of the squad.

  22. Pedro

Wrighty, I couldn’t think of anything worse.

I don’t even know who is lining ip?

I’m interested to see Agbonlohor play… and Wright. Other than that… I’d rather watch Rambo!

I will head down the pub though! Is it on terrestrial or Sky?

  23. patthegooner

    Hey Wrighty,

Its funny, I was thinking of watching the Wales game as well.

I really could not give a fuck about how England get on tonight. The last time I had passion for England was Euro 96.

  24. Wrighty7

The last time I had any passion for England was in 1992, only because England had that horrendous sky blue kit with three lions on the front.

I only wanted the kit to wind up my parents who hated it!

    I wore it once!

  25. Pedro

haha! I think so Wrighty… ‘get stuck in’ and ‘stick with your man’ might be as well!

I’m off, speak to you all later!

  26. avenell

I started to lose it when they wheeled Brian Robson out with that stupid sling on his arm Captain Fanfuckingtastic.

Then the last straw was Glenn Hoddle!!!

  27. kenny smith

Geoff/avenell i shall do the big interview soon as i can. i fell out with that twat from bleacher report so they are not in my good books. Plus i have tried to distance myself from media reports after the weekend game with villa…. Le grove is the only site i have been on since in relation to Arsenal. Im still gutted!!!!

And the darts is on ITV4 and i love it!!! come on Phil!!!!!!

  28. patthegooner

Look at the post at 1:41 Wrighty

Wales game is on BBC2 Wales. I get it as 102 as I live in Swansea now but the rest of you should get it somewhere in the 990′s near the porn

  29. Wrighty7

    Near the porn?? LOL

For some reason Pat that comment made me laugh. I know I shouldn’t because it is well “Prima Donna style” but I can’t get the picture of Gallas screaming

“WHAT IS THIS SHIT” outta of my head now!

    Not a good example though.

  30. patthegooner

I was one of the Chefs, I would have punched him in the face. I have no experience but I would imagine the food at the training ground is pretty fucking good.

I bet they are not tesco 9p beans and value bread.

  31. Wrighty7

    To be fair Pat,

I didn’t think of it like that. I bet the chef was really embarassed and it gives the impression that Gallas is kind of looking down on him.

    Its quite rude really.

  32. Seb

Jesus I need to start reading a blog with less comments per day, it’s taken me a whole hour to read through this lot. But I feel I owe it to the grovers to consider their pearls of wisdom rather than go straight to the bottom of the page and start bashing out my own musings :)

The mood has calmed somewhat after four days, which is a good thing. I suppose it’s like the calm after a storm – or is it the lull before the next one! A storm called Man City… let’s hope not.

That story about Gallas stropping out about the grub sounds like precisely the sort of thing he would do. He is self-oriented, his motivation to lead comes from a massive desire to look good, he doesn’t want Arsenal to succeed, he wants Gallas to succeed.

Saying that he has played fairly well this season, but he is still a prick and is probably a big reason why the team look so down these days. It’s like being in a gang at school led by a real cuntish bully, you don’t want to rock the boat so you toe the line and nod when he tells you what to do, but secretly you hate him and hope he gets run over by a bus.

Bit of a weird analogy but you get the point

  33. kelsey

I still like Long John for =Eduardo de Silva

Pat you live in Swansea do you know the deeks family have a house in morristown or something like that.

  34. patthegooner

Hope that RVP to Milan story comes true. It would be a good time to cash on someone that has never really delivered. then we could buy Huntelaar and Villa

Imagine that line up, I would renew my membership

  35. kelsey

Pat they are friends of ours with 5 kids and both parents are secondary school teachers. Not everyone in Spain is a villian, but the percentage is quite high :)

Who bloody suggested vela going to Hull on loan,is arsene mad. That goal against Wigan will be hard to be bettered this season, and kirkland’s face, what a picture.

  36. patthegooner

I think they must live in Morriston Kelsey, notorious for being the home of the DVLA.

To be honest I was a little concerned about moving to Swansea, but there is a lot of money being pumped into it, and who knows they might be in the premiership next year.

Oh and what a night out, Swansea is a fucking brilliant night out.

  37. Keyser

I don’t get why we’re soo quick to believe the bad stories as opposed to the good, shouldn’t we apply the same reasoning to both.

The Vela story comes from nowhere really save maybe Wenger saying Vela needs to aclimatised to the physical side of the premiership and that Eduardo will be back quite soon.

  38. patthegooner

    Dont get me wrong Keyser,

If Vela is not going to get game time at Arsenal, I would rather he was out on loan in the Premiership. I just think as it stands Vela is more developed and more potent than Nic Bendtner so think he should be further up the pecking order

As for Good news, What Fucking Good news, if there was some we would be talking about it

  39. kelsey

    evening raif,anything good would help.

Pat nicci already had a season at brum,we can’t afford to loan anyone out,but bring in some reserves like ramsey, simpson, wilshere even randall and let them fight it out for a place,at least until january.

  40. Keyser

Vela hasn’t started a game in the Premiership no matter if you’re Vela or Villa it’s going to take time for you to adjust to a completely new league, players can spend seasons here and not show the same form they do in other leagues.

I don’t want him to go on loan but it’s not completely out of the question depending on how well Eduardo does when he comes back.

Good News ? LoL you have nothing to console yourself with ?! You’re teetering on the edge of the pit of despair ?!

  41. kelsey

There’s a report in the evening standard that theo’s dislocated shoulder problem, which is now his other shoulder,is a heredity problem, and if true that could finish his career because every time he plays the opponents will be aware of it.not good news.

  42. kelsey

Every other player we buy has some problem after we have purchased them.RVP,Rosicky,Silvestre,Bischoff and now Theo. Then add to that Diaby and Nasri are injury prone it goes from bad to worse.

  43. Keyser

He had surgery on his other shoulder to correct and stregthen the area around the shoulder, the hereditery part is that the ligaments that hold everything in place are weak.

There’s probably a few things he can do, he already looks like he’s bulked up a bit and he could probably increase his upper body strength.

Was Diaby injury prone before we bought him ?!

  44. rico01

Deez – thats a bit off, coming on here and calling us fools! i am sure you are getting muddled up with the new stadium, and thats finished!!

  45. raif

    DeezGunner

rebuilding team are u having a laugh. we have been so called “”rebuilding team”" for Donky Years. we started Before Man Uted started “rebuilding” and they have supassed us and Won Things to Boot.

    Open ur eyes man

  46. raif

    DeezGunner.

i take it u belive Everything Wenger and the Board Tells you yes?

did you belive him when he said
“WE WILL SIGN MIDFIELDER before the window closes” ??

or did you belive him when he said
“WE WASNT IN THE MARKET AS THERE WASNT ANYONE WE WANTED”??

    Open Your Eyes Man

  47. DeezGunner

They have been rebuilding for 4 years! What else can you point the finger at? Arsenal has not done shit in the spending dept for 4 fuckin years!!!

  48. avenell

Rico I have been on most of the day and made some points that I thought might provoke a bit of a discussion but it seems a bit chilled.
It’s either the internationals or we have got used to being mediocre.. :(

  49. DeezGunner

What I am trying to say is Arsenal, on the pitch, is not a big club so it is fruitless to get worked up about the state of the football team.

  50. avenell

Arsenal have spent £400 million on a new stadium, name another club that has done that and stayed in the top 4? Deez

  51. rico01

ave, raif – the Appiah rumour has re-surfaced, i really think there could be more to this soon, only because he is free, and injury prone, just the kind of player he would sign ;)

  52. DeezGunner

Sorry but the only thing that matters is on the pitch production. if the team as whole played for 90 minutes & had this current record, we wouldn’t hear as much talk as there is of how pathetic they are. But the product on the field seems to have zero drive in most eyes but really it’s the mental side of the game. they have no mental toughness at all. Wenger fields a bunch of insecure bitches who cannot get the job done…

  53. avenell

Rico.. I wanted Appiah like you and he has had only one injury. Overmars and Pires had worse and they were legends.
The only thing is Arsenal will have to deal with a third party because he is owned by an agency I believe.

    Any links?

  54. Seb

Deez, Arsenal FC are a proud English football club that have existed for well over a century, we have had many many successes along the way, we have also had bad times as well, so we are not a ‘rebuilding club’, the current manager may be pursuing that policy at the moment but it won’t last forever, whether under Wenger or not we will always be Arsenal FC and us fools will carry on supporting it no matter how annoyed we get at any given time.

  55. rico01

ave – its on news now, but i am not sure if it hold any substance, as the suggestion is AW may move for him in Jan, but he is free and without a club so he could be snapped up tonight – if its true, i say go get him now, he would be a useful stop gap, if nothing else – he is fit and healthy and training hard -

  56. DeezGunner

i used fools loosely….i have nothing against any Gooner supporter & have been a supporter forever…i’m just getting sick of the same old shit on every blog…thats all. luv u all!!

  57. raif

    avenell

    Dodgy lungs then ;)

im thinking of how Wenger would see that.??

Interviewer: Mr Wenger, what do u think of Appiah and the question mark over his Fitness from the operation he had at Fener?

Wenger: errmmm! well Appiah’s Fittness is good but i dont think he can last a full 90mins in midfield Bcos theres alot of running box to box involved,

or somthing along them lines!! THE RESULT. we play Appiah in Defence

  58. Pedro

Deez, if you are sick of every blog, why are you reading them? Start your own blog if you have something to say.

Don’t come on here calling people fools though… we don’t play that game over here.

  59. A

Very annoying Ramsey seemed absolutely exhausted after an hour, and he’s still on the pitch now. Can’t see him starting come saturday after this so we’ll be looking forward to song coming in to replace Cesc, oh dear!

  60. A

I reckon 4-4-2 pedro, Adebayor and VP up top, Nasri, Den, Song, Diaby midfield. Anyone know why Nasri isn’t even on the bench for France?? If he’s injured as well as theo we’re in trouble!

  61. Keyser

Nasri is on the bench at least I saw him there chatting to someone, Van Persie’s scored a couple for Holland against Sweden.

  62. A

Yeah bendtner started, was their best player in the first half, few nice touches second half but not done anything amazing, though the second half has been a bit of a waste of time with all the subs and how scrappy it’s been

  63. A

ah yeah cheers keyser, I didn’t notice the subs went into a second page on the sky sports sports centre, that’s a relief!

  64. A

There isn’t anyone else though Rico, I very much doubt Ramsey will start after playing for as long as he did tonight, and looking absolutely exhausted for the last 20 mins to half hour. Is Eboue back from injury then? I’d imagine Toure might be right back even if he is as he’s been out for a little while. If eboue is fit he could well come into the midfield
