Arsene Wenger has come in for fierce criticism this week for his comments about Stoke, their tactics and their tackles, but they won and we lost, I watched Arsenal TV last night and they thought Ade’s tackle was worse than all the Stoke ones, the only thing that was wrong with the Stoke game was your team selection boss, so get over it an move on.
The boss also had this to say ‘I don’t believe I will buy in January, I trust my players strengths and intelligence – it’s now up to them to show it’ – so that’s it for the season, he’s said no one’s coming in so this team is it, he can’t complain about inexperience or depth of squad or injuries, he has the opportunity to strengthen and he’s said no, so we need to hope this team grows up in a hurry and we need to get behind them today.
Wednesday’s team was more like it, and although we didn’t win, I thought we looked more solid, Johan and Ramsey in, looked good and more of a fit, Nasri had a bad game and Cesc wasn’t on fire but if Robin had had some luck and Fernabache didn’t play like a girls team with 11 behind the ball it would have been different.
Today we see the return of the Mancs 12th man referee Webb.
He gave them a penalty against us last season when we lost 2-1 and he gave them a scandalous free kick for their winner after evra dived.
He gave a pen to Middlesbrough when we lost 2-1.
He gave a penalty to blackburn at the Grove and although we won 6-2 the pen made it 1-0 to them.
He was ref that sent Kolo off in the Carling Cup final.
He was the linesman who got Sol sent of against the Mancs in 2003.
These facts were supplied by fellow Grover Alan so thanks a lot my friend, an interesting read.
I think if we run at them and shut them down (do a Stoke, Fulham and Hull) combine that with our passing game and add the finishing skills of Nasri, Theo, Diaby, Bendtner and Ramsey, I think we can stuff them, I really do, if we don’t do the above though, we could get stuffed.
So let us the fans be our 12th man, let’s stay in our seats until the end, get back in them for the start and sing our bollocks off (same for the girls but obviously forget the testi reference) let our team know we love them and are behind them and I think you’ll see the Arsenal we all love, hopefully there will be the added bonus of seeing shrek get sent off for gobbing off, but don’t hold your breath.
Arsene you do your bit, don’t pick Song, play Djourou, make substitutions early if we need them and none if we don’t.
We’re with you Arsene and we’re behind our team, we’ll show you today, get Nasri fired up, let Theo loose, give Ramsey the nod and unleash hell!
Fabianski
Sagna Djourou Gallas Clichy
Theo Cesc Ramsey Nasri
Diaby
Bendtner
Vela on as sub.
My team would attack them from the off, if I wanted to be more cautious I would drop Diaby back into midfield or put Kolo in as the holding player.
3-1 Arsenal Grovers, I won’t be around today and nor will Pedro, so you’ll need to be alert to trouble, don’t forget it’s the weekend.

Denilson…My Man of the Match….What a blindingly brilliant performance…

I thought Nik was great today… he missed some sitters, but as long as you are in the position to miss them, you are doing something right.
His control was good, he was a menace in the air and he did really well playing up top on his own. This misses will be goals soon… mark my words!
I am so over the moon!]
Pedro my friend…Im seriously begging to wander bout ure footballing judgment mate…after yet another laughable performance…your still rating this joke of a player….
Apart from loosing the ball on every other pocession like he did when we played Stoke City….Betner’s finishing is 400 times worse than Ade…
For now Im celebrating the win.
Got to haul 2 metres of concrete mix etc today, but thanx evo, the replay is @ noon is it. I’ll have a well earned break to watch that. I always find the replay less stressfull for obvious reasons.
Anyone heard from Geoff, this photo was just in on Fox Sport News, of Geoff walking home through Finsbury Park after the game.
http://www.nps.gov/archive/yell/slidefile/mammals/blackbear/Images/11158.jpg
I must say its changed a lot since I was there last
david… apart from finishing nick was pretty good today..
he won almost all headers.. was faster than rio.. laid it on a plate for theo. He just couldn’t score!
he sure was better than berbatov!
Please name me another 20yr old lone striker going all out on rio and vidic!
avenell – you are just so bad
and so are you george – love it
even tho I must admit it is very refreshing to see an Arsenal attacker win the air ball against the defenders….especially against United Bastards…the boy kept giving the ball away cheaply…i mean watch the game again..i recorded it….Every betner pocession was either a give-away….an air challenge that he won but never went anywhere…and clear cut chances that my great grandmother could finish….
Betner was clearly our worst player but you cant say so much bout berbatov it was a testament to how well denilson and the back four played
fair play to the boys, we played a good game and we probably deserved the win because we showed more heart than manure. But can we show the same heart against the lower buggers??? I hope so, but for some reason it does not happen!!
Betner is almost always out worst player on the pitch….Cesc didnt have a great game today….He shouldve unleashed Walcott and the score line wouldve been a lot more attractive….Cesc made some horrible passes but there is not doubt that his positioning on the pitch was exceptional….
Bring on the Champions League then!!!!
we just turn it on against good teams!
BRING THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE HOME!!!!
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!
Kelsey where did you read that
choy its not good enough, its all about consistency, we need it so bad!!
I see the dippers won, still a six points gap..
agreed choy
one of the the best defensive pairing on the planet and people dog a lone 20 yr old striker who like you stated didn’t have a screamer but was alrite in my books
what I want arsenal players to do is have commitment and fight ! nick scored good points for that.
Now he may have missed chances but at least he did not cost us 30 million!
And he wasn’t scared to go back for more!!!
Why is it so quiet?? because everyone is watching X-Factor!!
Paul, check yesterday’s news now stream.
check what truth.. what is it you guys are discussing?
News about signing a young Brazilian striker.
lol.. how young? is he going to loan to la liga?
Last i checked Nikki Bullshit is a striker…and as a striker you put the ball behind the net dnt try and lower the standards just to make it seem like he had a good game…i dnt care if he is 20 yrs or 50…and Berbatov has many more goals than Niikki Bullshit…
He didnt cost 30 million tho…i give you that…lol
GUNNERS!!
My ratings for today
Almunia – 7 ( silly muck up with back pass) but otherwise back to his old self
Clichy – 8, much better crossing
Gallas – Real captains performance – 8.5
Silvestre – 7.5 – seems to enjoy playing alongside Gallas
Bac – solid game – 8
Theo – 7 great move to allow Nasris in for the second
Cesc – 8 – nearly back to the old Cesc
Denilson -7better, and pretty solid game
Nasri – 9 – he scored twice, but still can improve
Diaby – 8 – he has to play every game, he needs to and will get better and better
Nik – 7 still not convinced
Team performance – 9

Arsenal have signed a pre-contract agreement with Brazilian striker Lenny, according to reports in South America.
The 20-year-old striker, who currently plays for Brazilian side Palmeiras, is said to have signed a deal that means he will sign for the Gunners in the January transfer window.
Lenny’s Palmeiras deal is due to expire in December, although it is reported that he will be sent out on loan to Spain to gain first-team experience and a work permit.
Arsenal have an agreement with feeder club Salamanca to loan them a striker or goalkeeper in January.
Mexican striker Carlos Vela enjoyed loan spells with Celta Vigo and Osasuna among others, where he impressed before returning to the Emirates with a work permit in time for this season.
Arsene Wenger’s side are said to have bid £3m for Lenny in 2007, which was rejected.
david will you agree that berbatov also has more starts than nick?
laura should go!!!
Do I watch sky sports1 and watch most of the match again or MOTD and watch Shearer, Hansen and Lawro eat shit???
haha yes Choy…but seriously now…u cant be comparing Nikki to Berbatov…
berbatov finishes…Nikki on the other hand doesnt know how to score…7 yards out on a header and didnt bury it?
Hopefully Lenny will come in and Save the day!
k.. david
you don’t rate him, I do… we’ll just move on.. heheh
what about the nasri show? the second goal was a belter!
Wasn’t it great to hear 55,000 people singing “fat granny shagger, you’re just a fat granny shagger”. Loved every second of the day.
Hleb scored 7 goals in 89 games for Arsenal..
Nasri has scored 4 goals in 8 games..
David – I dont rate Nik so high, but to suggest today he was any worse than Berby, then i have to defend Nik, ok he didnt score but for me he was more pro-active than Berby Toff!
Laura is gone, you should all listen to me, at least once!!!
Eto O’ Makes Henry look like a bitchy wuss…
Nikki played up front on his own against the best pairing in the premiership he ran himself into the ground for the team well done that man

Hleb scored 7 goals in 89 games for Arsenal..
Nasri has scored 4 goals in 8 games..
avenell hey ok thats fine but how many goals has sagna or clichy scored in the EPL
and how bigger factor are there games for us without them ?
or how many goals has cesc scored this season ?
judge strikers on goals scored .. midfield is a bonus for someone like pires – nasri or even freddie when they were doing the business …
hleb was a important player for us last season ..
no point just being a 1 eyes supporter saying we dont need him spiel ..
because i dont buy it … and ive heard people on here doing the sour grapes thing constantly…
its boring and shite like hlebs over rated or we don’t need TH14 anymore ..
well i think we do need TH14 ..
& i still would have them in our team any day of the week, they are what our football was all about !
Nasri played out of his skin today , but he had a shite game prior , and when he is consistant then you can say Hleb who ?
ethan – you are just doom and gloom me old mucker
hey – but i do agree a little ethan
and i do think nasri will prove to be better, but Titi, i miss him…….
hmmmm why is honesty doom and gloom ?, i think saying things like ‘hleb who’ is disrespectful ..
he used to wear the red and white .. and held our midfield together last season …
and th 14 well he aint doom and gloom either ..
i miss them both and we would be a better team when there both in it ..
barca have got them both from us for a reason …
I still believe we miss an out and out striker, Come on DUDU, we miss YOU
How many times as Hleb played full back like the players you are comparing him to?
And where did I say Hleb who? I was just posting a fact…
im with you rico…WE NEED STRIKERS WHO DONT WASTE CHANCES!!
It is hard ethan, Hleb said and did so many things that were against our club, and the red rag to the bull and that takes over what he ever did as a footballer for us – he didnt score many goals, and i dont know how many assists he got – but his best season was last season but then he pooped on us, and peopl dont forget ethan, that is why i think such ‘hleb who’ comments come out..
Dont forget ethan, he was cruel about us, met with the italians to get a move, i cant stay loyal to a player who behaves in that way – is he any better the ashle cole ????
helloooooooooo are we wacthing MotD then lol
spot on rico.. that is why hleb will not be respected like gilberto
choy – gilberto, what a gentleman
I miss him too
Stop bringing up goals when talking about Hleb. That wasn’t his job and it wasn’t his type of play.
Hleb and Cashley were both great, despite what they said/did to the Arsenal. Judge them on their skill/importance to the team, not as the people they are.
Okay, Nasri scored 2 today, but if we had a quality striker who could finish, Hleb could(and should) have had 3-4 assists against United last season AT OT!!
pat .. i think goals are part of football.. in fact that is the only thing that matters!
Pat – we are all entitled to our own views me old mucker, both those you have mentioned shat on our club, i will never forgive them, and for me they are bad boys, and very much forgotten
My bed calls, be sfe all, night night
Sorry Pat you must never ever mention goals and Hleb in the same sentance..
In fact there are only seven sentances that “Hleb” “Arsenal” and “goal” could ever be mentioned in..
avenell – top comment Hleb and 7goals…. few and far between
Im Off this time
Not when judging a player. Sometimes it seems that half of you have never even played football in your life, or if you did, you had no clue what you were doing.
Players have certain roles. We had others who could have done the scoring. Hleb created more than 50% of the chances we had against the top teams last season.
Lets get this straight. Andres Iniesta, one of the best midfielders in the world, plays almost identically like Hleb. In about 160 appearances for Barca, he only has around 10 goals.
Look at Cesc, barring last season. He’s not a good goalscorer. He had 4 goals in 06/07 and only has 1 thus far. I doubt he’ll have a better season than 07/08, b/c he’s NOT a goalscorer and I doubt he ever will be.
Okay, Cesc got a boatload of assists last season(24), BUT take a look on how many of those came off of set piece deliveries with Gallas/Ade getting them in.
Just my 2 cents.
Alan Hansen looks like he’s been crying or is about to cry, he can barely speak..
Seriously this needs to be recorded.
He’s choking, having to eat his words
sorry pat.. an attacking midfielder must score goals…
Iniesta can be compared to cesc not hleb.
cesc is a playmaker. hleb would often be playing off the main striker.
Actually, Hleb has a better goal-to-game ratio than Iniesta for BOTH Stuttgart and Arsenal.
Iniesta has 12 in 157 (1 in about 13 games)
Hleb for ARsenal: 7 in 89 (1 in about 12-13 games)
Stuttgart: (1 in every 10 games).
I just hate how many Arsenal fans slag off a player who was absolutely brilliant at what he did. He was unique and gave us something we’ve been missing this whole season. No one at Arsenal could change the tempo of the game as quickly as Hleb.
no one could run to the corner flag as quickly as hleb.
Rosicky was the man last year our season started to go downhill when he was injured..
Pat – come on, we are all entitled to our view, and i played footie for many many years, but that does not entitle me to judge any game on a professional level, we all see things so different.
But what you must realise is that i have my point of view, as do we all, yes Hleb could dribble, keep the ball etc etc, but what was his assist stats, his defensive stats, any bloomin stats – Pedro and Geoff will be able to help us there.
But also remember, Hleb followed Freddie, go look at Freddies stats, maybe then you might re-think on Hleb..
Personally, i dont care about wher the assists, goals or anything else comes from, because if it ends in a goal, its fine by me..
Hleb and Cashley have gone, and I am so very glad, they were offered everything, and took the pee, good riddance to unloyal players in mho
No Choy, Hleb is a natural playmaker a CM. The term “playmaker” can be placed upon any midfielder these days. Pep consideres Messi a playmaker. Rosicky and Hleb are both natural playmakers that, naturally, play in Cesc’s spot.
Iniesta and Hleb actually play the same position for Barca, thats why they’re usually never on at the same time.
Eto’o bagged 4 today, by the way. So did Higuain and madrid escaped..barely.
you’re still awake rico?
fine pat… would you rather have hleb in your team than nasri?
Wenger wants his players to run to the corner flag when the game is tight, he even said so today!!!
Nasri nor Hleb will ever be as good as Freddie.
And you’re going to talk about loyalty? Cesc will leave us, as will most of this current crop. “Loyalty” is just a word nowadays and its foolish to think players will stay loyal, especially the foreigners.
I can’t believe after a game like today’s that so many people have started on about Hleb again.
It seems Hleb fans only acknowledge stats when it backs their opinions. You can’t pick and choose which stats are significant nd which are not. Iniesta didn’t play for Arsenal. Nasri has more goals and more assists per game so far than Hleb – fact. Everything else is down to interpretation and opinion. We shouldn’t be discussing Hleb after such a great victory today. Nasri was man of the match.
choy – spot on, and Hleb didnt ! I am not going to get into a Hleb debate, and choy, dont you either my friend – hleb is history, nasri, well he is doing ok, and we hope he will get better and better – dont know what time it is with you choy, but go get some rest me old mucker
Night choy and fleoow grovers
The thing is Choy there was no choice,, Hleb hates Arsenal!!!!
pat… please quote the full sentence.
wenger also said that he had told kanu to go to the corner flag when they were 2-2 up against chelsea. I’m sure you’ve read that as well!
I’d rather have both. But if I had to choose 1, it would have to be Hleb. You’re hyping Nasri up too much after this 1 game where he scored 1 good goal.
I’ll get back to you after a full season. If Nasri continues playing well, I’ll change my view, obvious.y.
This was Nasri’s best game for us, so lets see what else he has to offer.
Pat, you’re just a poor mans paulinho!
well said rico far more eloquently put than this argument on that sneaky no good prick (talented yes,but nonetheless) deserves IMO
night rico.. m too excited to sleep!!!
Whatever, lets rejoice the win! We have our opinions.
Cesc needs to get a yellow next game.
Blow me Pat, so many assumptions – Cesc i/v’d today and said he is going nowhere, so you have your speculations, and thats fine, but we are talking about Hleb – he has gone,…
Cesc, right now, this minute, he is an Arsenal player, and that in his words is long time…
I don’t recall hleb ever winning us a match single handedly.
Only the fulham game last year!
And don’t forget Nasri is 21 , Hleb spent the age between 25 and 27 getting used to the Premiership and his next season trying to leave it!
I would rather have a player who makes and takes a chance rather than someone who just makes a chance!
choy, i really am going now, i just did not want to leave you on your own
Ok choy you are excited, you need to deal with it tonight, go to bed, get used to the feeling of going to slep happy….. it is the first night of many my friend
Choy -BED, and sleep well
and your dreams will not be about HLEB
Night for real
Choy. Hleb doesn’t make a chance look at his stats …
He makes a chance for someone else to make a chance, or is there another someone else in there?
lol.. rico.. who the hell will dream of hleb when we have someone that shoots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nite nite
Oh no, I don’t believe it I’ve missed another Hleb debate !!!!!
just woke up, still feeling pumped!
I don’t recall Cesc “single-handedly” winning us a game either.
oh pat.. ac milan away?
No debate this time peaches – just hleb pervs trying to spoil the day for us!
Maybe Cesc’s didn’t appear to single handedly win us matches but he has had a high percentage of assists and made the vital pass for the second goal today.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/3407741/Arsene-Wenger-finds-his-new-Robert-Pires-in-dazzling-Samir-Nasri-Football.html
man city at home last year 1-0
What about AC Milan away? That howler Kalac let in?
Thats a simple save and you know it. Kalac is horrible. Cesc’s shot wasn’t any good.
yea but Cesc single handedly saved us from embarrasment with a draw at home!
the press are a pack of knobs, but that bloke who penned the telegraph article obviously decided to buck the trend and write one against the odds. well done!
At least he had a shot, Hleb would have passed sideways!!!
Man CIty at home…when Hleb drew 2 defenders and dinked it off to Cesc(who was wide open then)?
pat.. can we continue this tomorrow. Well hleb never really shot so you can’t ever really tell can you?
time for bed now.
nite all ye grovers… woooo 2 fuckin 1 beat that!!!!!
I hope Denilson gets the plaudits he deserves for his work-rate today, he was marvelous. His running and his tackling he was everywhere.
Cesc hasn’t been good this season, at all. Lets support our players, but not be blinded. As long as Iniesta and Xavi are fit, Cesc stands no chance of getting a starting spot for Spain unless Bosque plays the 4-5-1 with Torres on the bench.
catch ya choy
I agree peaches. Sometimes a player has a pivotal game that propels them to a higher level of performance. I think the Birmingham game last season qad that effect on Theo, and after Flamini’s heroics at left back (and being left out of the CL final side) he really upped his game when finally getting his chosen position. Maybe Denilson is coming of age – let’s hope so.
Hey Rasp – did you enjoy the game? Didn’t you predict a 2-1 scoreline at the beginning of the day – well done to you
Denilson gave away some stupid free kicks though. Thankfully, CR is a horrible free kick taker.
So Cesc is shit? Nasri is shit? But iniesta, xavi and Hleb are all brilliant…
Here’s a suggestion get some blue stripes added to your red shirt and bugger off and support Barca if you love their players so much!!
Night all.
pat.. final one..
which of the three has the least chances to ever win an individual award
hleb, cesc or nasri.
you answer that truthfully.
nite evo, nite pat, nite rasputin, nite peaches
Rasp.. Have you been down The Boot celebrating??
The problem with Denilson is hes not consistant, the same can be said of Nasri becuase he didn’t have a good game on wed night and today he was brilliant.
Talking of Cesc, he seemed a LOT happier today, this was great to see imo, maybe he will start to believe in the team now and get back to his best, in fact maybe we will as well
Btw, I might be critical of Nasri now, because I’m not going to follow hype, but check the article posted before this one.

Believe and sing your hearts out. Its 11:13 pm here in Chicago and I cannot wait for the game.
Almunia
Sagna JD Gallas Clichy
Theo Cesc Ramsey Nasri
Diaby
Nik
If Sagna isn’t fit, play Toure there. He handled CR last year whilst playing as a RB.
I think nasri will have a good game tomorrow, regardless of the scoreline. Gut feeling, I guess.
COME ON ARSENAL!!!!!!
Denilson has gotten better…much better…and he gets better every single game…..he just needs to do much better on counter-attacks…which is what united know how to do very well..and perfect his positioning…
The stupid free kicks aspect will change….I just wish Bentner could figure a-way to score…
Yes Peaches although the tension was too great at times….
I am suspicious of the motivation of anyone who posts on this site looking for negatives and controversy after a game and result such as today’s.
Pat (or Paulinho under a pseudonym), you are just trying to upset people and you’re not going to succeed. For the record – CR is a fantastic free kick taker or do you have a selective stat to disprove that!
Good night and sweet dreams to all proper gooners.
Queen, shut it. I say it how it is. You have a problem with my criticizing Cesc because he HAS BEEN UTTER SHIT?!?!?! Its the truth!
Is it not true that Xavi and Iniesta are better footballers than Cesc? Take the blinders off.
i cant wait till we meet liverfools….i want champions league revenge.
http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/65026/ARSENAL-BOSS-EYES-YOUNG-SAINT-MORGAN.html
Sorry avenell, only just read your post. No, its pissing down here and I’ve enjoyed a fine bottle of red at home to celebrate the game that I hope will turn our fortunes around.
Yeah you’re right “Paulinho lite” Cesc is rubbish, especially that pass today.
Hope your Barca boys won today, I saw they were on but didn’t bother watching.
Us Arsenal fans had a good day, we beat Manchester United.
Add Eto’o and Henry and the reat of there players… How come they won fuck all last year?
Not only do you talk utter crap like Paulinho, but you are also rude to the ladies. Are you sure you are on the right site?
lol pat….i dnt think anyone will waste their breathe defending Cesc…u saying Cesc is “Utter Shit” might as well call the Whole team Shit…so fuk off…Cesc is giving his best for the club dispite ure hero in life’s (Hleb a.k.a “i will never shoot the ball”…Belarus) disgusting cries for him to come to barca…come to think of it…he must be really lonely over there all by himself coming off the bench like he did today…lol
Rasputin, CR is nowhere near a fantastic fre kick taker. The number of GREAT free kick takers in the PL has declined greatly.
When he gets them right, they’re great, but he rarely ever gets them right and anyone who has a clue about football and knows the leagues(and the players) very well will tell you that.
CR always hits the wall or hits it into row Z. Every once in awhile he gets a beauty, but that doesn’t make him a good free kick taker. Whats next? RVP a good free-kick taker? NO
To be considered a good free kick taker, at least hit the target more consitantly.
CR cannot touch the likes of Juan Roman, Juninho, Pirlo, Kaka, Seedorf, Gerrard, Geovanni, Xavi, Ronaldinho, Robinho, Elano, Jankulovski, etc. in the free kick department
who gives a fuck if cesc sits on the bench for Spain, that will only make him fresher for our club games. im not spanish, so i couldnt give a fuck about them.
True he hasnt started off the season like he did last season, he was certainly scoring goals like wildfire last year by this time, but he did assist on both goals last night, so im happy with that!
There must be a Barcelona blog around here somewhere he could go to?
Rasp – I reckon those Hleb lovers are gonna be around for a while. I can’t see the point, its much nicer to talk about the players that make a good contribution to the team now and slag off those that underperform.
I have to go to sleep now and be up early to watch MOTD again !!!!
Nite nite all, sweet dreams of Nasris 2 goals against the mancs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Fabregas told Sky Sports: “It has been frustrating, with the results we have had – and to win a game like that is vital, to get back on track, we were talking about it the other day.
“When you see the fans singing and enjoying themselves, this is the best we have had this season.
“But because we have beaten Manchester United, we are not better than we were last week – and last week we were not rubbish as everybody was saying.”
Geoff reckons Beckham is the best at free kicks…
Geoff says “Red card Avenell”
Pat – nice try, but you really are wasting your time.
I’m only bothering to reply just because I haven’t quite finished my glass of vino. It’s like if someone phones trying to sell me double glazing – I’m not remotely interested but sometimes just keep them talking to teach them a lesson.
You can’t prove any of your outrageous statements and you are outnumbered by the majority of correspondents on here. I would suggest that you desist from insults and name calling because that makes you look desperate and just plain silly…..
Queen, its the truth. Take off the damn blinders. If you fail to admit that, you’re bias.
I don’t support Barca, never have and never will. My club in Spain is Villareal if I have to choose.
And CESC has been utter shit this season. You make me laugh. Okay, he had a good pass today but he had a pretty poor game with many misplaced passes. Too many.
I’m not saying he’s shit, I’m just saying he hasn’t been good this season. There is no denying that.
We could give a shit less if CR knows how to take freekicks or not….in-case u forgot…
We are The Arsenal.
we are indeed The Arsenal and we beat the Mancs!
i cant wait to drink some Heinekens today and celebrate!
replay will be on in 1 hour!
Rasp, so you’re saying Cesc is better than Xavi or Iniesta?
Pat i’m off to bed because frankly its boring having a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
Night all. Today was a good day.
see ya QOS
Well said David. We won today. It was a team performance.
We rode our luck and took enough chances to win the game. We met a team who wanted to play football and we beat them – and by the way they are Prem and CL champions and improved their squad over the summer, our first and second choice strikers were unavailable. So all in all – a fantastic result.
Pat – what is your obsession with those 2 players, neither of them are in the Villareal side?
Cesc is better than Xavi and Iniesta BY FAR…you tell me what Xavi and Iniesta have accomplished at 21?
Ras I’m waiting for the…
avenell says …. Nasri is better than Hleb…….
And rasputin says …. I agree by the top man who likes a row…

Why the fuck does Hleb even matter? who gives a fuck about that jump shit sook> We beat Man utd for fucks sake! why sit here and squablle of a diving little i cant stand the london noise toss pot, pat?
Queen, you don’t know shit about football outside of England. Thats right, retreat with your blinders.

Arsenal won today – remember, who gives a toss about iniesta?he doesn’t play for us….
Pat – do you mean blinkers?
Shee-eesh that was the longest 6 minutes ever!
But what a response by the team.
Imo song’s coming on steadied the the dm, but toure’s introduction baffled me.
Previously someone here mentioned diaby’s silky footwork for a big man and that was truly demonstrated yesterday.
I hope almunia is ok… the back pass is ludicrous! (opening minutes jitters maybe?)
Did van der sar expect that we would pass the ball into the net? both goals rooted him, or Maybe we should strike from distance more often…
Nikki b – need to have more playing time imo, his decision making is atrocious.
Theo – when he gets the space he is dangerous but not yesterday though.
CBs – soaked up the pressure from the get go.
Sagna – maybe his choice of footwear changed his game?
Denilson – not the dm we are looking for.
Webb is a joke.
I mean fuck! think about it….. why does Hleb matter on a day like 2day?
Must get cold in there when its windy Pat….
Sleep well with your spectacular FAIL to induce anything other than mockery tonight.
im sure Alex Hleb and Flamini are enjoying warming the bench at their respective clubs….
tisk tisk…at least Henry Stars for Barca and still scores goals…
Pat doesn’t know what he means – he just likes bullying the ladies
Evo, its not an obsession. I’m just saying they’re better players because sometimes, our fans have blinders on.
Rasp, I’mhappy we won, but it doesn’t prove anything. Lets see how we play against Villa. We always play well against the top 4, so why would today be any different?
Pat zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz———zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzzz
My final word. I probably don’t know as much as you about Spanish football for the simple reason that unlike you, i’m not a Barcelona fan.
I’m an Arsenal fan.
Now that i’ve just handed you your ass, i really am off to bed.
2 points of note from the highlights that are looping on foxsports this morning.
The Nasri deflected shot off neville – both gallas and bendtner were waiting to deflect it also, neville beat them too it!
Webb paid an advantage free to Cesc on the assist to Nasris 2nd. Carrick and those other fuckers were trying to lay a tackle on Cesc when he was runnning rings around them with the passes to set up the goal. The ref let them play on and Cesc layed off that beautiful pass and Nasri wound up and slotted a powerful strike – that was one of the best strikes i have seen for a while! unstoppable!
Hes been good at that – can’t undestand why anyone would want to be so negative after this result today, only it was yesterday now. You know what I mean
