Had AC really offered £30m for Ade, Wenger would have bitten their hand off. Trouble is that others can see Ade’s statistics, and that is why no-one signed him when he obviously wanted to go.

That said, I do like Ade. He never stops trying, is skilful on the ball, and good in the air. But would I swap him for Villa, Torres or Santa Cruz. You bet I would.

i think he scored 1 goal against man U the year before last , he seemed to play well Vs spuds and the newcastle last season .. Yes i know what you mean ..
when you consider of the 24 scored last season in the epl 3 or 4 were penalties 9- 10 goals v’s relegation bate teams .. it leaves about 10 goals in about 30 games !

Catfors,IMO because of the dissapointment and in my case surprise,of not signing one experienced defensive player,the minute we are linked with a possible free signing crock,everyone goes overboard about Appiah.He is another injuy prone player and there is a big IF as to return of fitness to the player he was 4 years ago.This is what gets me most about Wenger,he sees the players on a daily basis and for the last 2 years RVP and Rosicky have had one injury or another and never recover completly before they are injured again.To some extent Diaby is the same,Silvestre though experienced the same and even Wenger admits Bischoff is a gamble.One can’t rely on these players and he has had at least 3 transfer windows to rectift the position.The squad is so young and although we have already debated the captaincy,there are no other options at the moment.Wenger may not be on the pitch but his great belief in moulding youngsters to his ideal way of playing football doesn’t always come off,i.e.Fulham.We are to dependant on Cesc,and a blind man can see that.
