Morning Grovers!

Geoff is away at a golf day, so I thought I’d tell you an interesting story.

A couple of days ago Geoff and I were discussing the vacant CEO role at Arsenal. Out of the blue, Geoff said that he was a bit worried that Keith Wyness was going to pop up at Arsenal as the new Chief Exec. Keith is an old business associate of Geoff and I don’t mean they met once, they know each other very well.

So today, I opened up the Sky Sports website to read:

Wyness leaves Everton

I was shocked! Geoff had no insider knowledge about this, just a gut feel that Keith is the type of guy who could pull something like this off. Sky Sports are saying he is looking to take up a position at Real Mallorca… Now, I don’t know anything about the man, bar he is ambitious. Would Real Mallorca not be a bit of a step down at this stage in his career?

Who knows, all I’ll say Grovers is watch this space!

    We are being harsh Pedro but it was obvious that this was the signing that Wenger was on about. It is not good enough.

    We need someone that come a week tuesday is ready to step and make the difference in CM in that CL qualifier. This guy may turn out to be a gem, but I bet it wont be this side of Christmas.

    I’m looking at the signing laughing… it’s almost entertaining it has got so stupid at Arsenal.

    He could be great… but at the end of the day, we’ve signed him because he is injury prone and no one else wanted him… what a laugh… I bet Cesc is licking his lips at the prospect of signing him!

    I got ridiculed on here yesterday as I advised some buisness friends to take some American Clients to Chelsea, Can you see why now?

    I think the Corporate Market bring a lot of money into Arsenal and how long does this have to continue before it affects that market.

    How long are you all going to put up with paying for the most expensive ticket in town whilst be stripped of our best experienced players every year without replacement. We have lost 2 key 1st team players and 3 experienced back ups and that does not include still playing the shite that is Eboue on the RW.

    4 years ago, you went to see Pires, Vieira, Ljungberg, Bergkamp and Henry

    Now they go to see Cesc and pray that RVP or Rosicky are not injured,

    I am a seriously passionate Arsenal fan and just cant understand this transfer policy.

    Wrighty was right the other day when he said he wanted a signing that got you all excited so that you could not wait until the season kicked off.

    What is happening guys this is embarrasing.

    Its logical i think .. replace one starter with another
    Not gamble on 2nd division players , or potential stars … 17 year olds etc..
    We need to hit the ground running and turn up the heat on last season ..

    currently we are all rained out ..

    A strong start too the season is paramount .. the title race will probably be over by Christmas .. I dont think any club wants to win the EPL on goal difference or in the final weeks !

    Im pissed off that one minute wenger ‘cant stunt’ the youth and the next minute
    he will buy someone if they are free ! ??/ WTF ???… yet he states he’s got bucket loads of money to spend
    but cannot morally BUY an experienced player over his youth , its unfair !!!

    It all points to being skint !!!!
    and the club having Millions to spend has to be a bullshit front !

    But I know what Yanks want to see and it is sucess.

    On that I think Scolari will bring attacking pass and move football to Chelsea, he is used to that with Brazil and Portugal. He knows no other way and Deco will help to bring it. I think they are favs next year to win it.

    If it is a one year contract, it is prob bacause he as only played one game in three years, he would be an expensive signing on a five year deal.

    so we’ve signed Bischoff.

    One thing that confuses me is where he is actually from. Is he French? Or is he Portugese? I hope Portugese because;

    A) I can call him a Portugeezer,

    and

    B) He may progress to full international level for Portugal and injure Ronaldo in a training ground tackle.

    Evenin’ all…..so our new DMC is Eboue……..surprise!

    I’d rather they put Bischoff on, he’s been signed today although I’m sure everyone knows by now, he’s one for the future.

    Hopefully they’ll put some guns on in the middle at half time. Gallas looks a bit wobbly, no big improvement since Euro 2008, not happy about him tonight.

    Jens has made some great saves. Great defending from Stuttgart so far, we need some quality in the middle to finish things off.

    Not a bad first half, bear in mind it is most of their first outings

    Think we shaded it, Nasri looks handy and Djorou has looked ok at back. unlucky with the booking, as Gomez was pulling his shirt back to get ahead of him,
