Other news is we are fighting to hold onto Gallas and RVP, I don’t believe the RVP bit but I hope we sack Gallas and bring in Zapata.
Should we lose RVP and Ade, then we should bring in Benzema, Santa Cruz or Villa, but we won’t so that’s the end of that speculation.
I’m becoming hopeful after watching the Barnet game, I thought Simpson looked sharp and Wilshere and Ramsey I think will feature this season, could Rogers slipstream Senderos? he looked solid didn’t he.
Whatever will happen, will happen soon I feel, Wenger looked calm and like he knew something, he had that sparkle and not the look of a doomed man, so with games aplenty and the cups coming up, we should have a lot to talk about thiis next few weeks.

I think I understand to a certain extent when Wneger says he does not want to block the youth.
From attacking perspective I believe the options we have are,
Cesc, Ramsey, nasri, rosicky, vela, walcott, eddy, Van perise, Ade
Simpson, Barazite, Bendter.
Yes there are some injuries and they are young..but I believe in attack youth, drive and creativity are very important. Therefore I dont think we need any more attacking players unless someone leaves.
However in the defensive side of things, here is where experience counts more than athletism and skill.
I believe we need that strong aggressive centre back that seems to have fallen off the radar.
I think he should be around 28, big and tall etc. he should be someone who will teach Senderos etc and not complain too much about playing time. He could be interchanged with either Kolo or Gallas depening on opposition(long ball teams etc) He could also be the main man the CC and FA cup partnered with any of the other centre backs.
The big CB for turkey at the Euros recently seems to fit the bill, I dont remember his name now.
But definitely need that CB.

Nothing new on the football front, it’s beginning to sink in that Adebayor is staying, and to be honest I’m not sure how i feel. He has disrespected the club, but he is capable of scoring goals and improving his finishing. Adebayor will still be wearing an Arsenal shirt come August.
If I had a partner who was boasting about other fellas wanting her and telling me she could get this that and the other from them, I wouldn’t take it.
But this is football, and as it stands it does not seem to matter that Adebayor has disrespected the club, as long as he scores goals and the fact that he’s under contract seems to be the main thing. I can’t be satisfied with that, neither can many other gooners.
Another place we can stregnthen is the DM position.
I hope Diaby will rise to the occasion but we should bring in someone just in case.
Also I think Djourou could be gievn a try there. He is 6′ 3 therefore he would have the size and presence to protect the back four.
He may be the YAYA that all gooners are asking for.
He has also said that DM is his best position. Maybe we should trust him and give him a run there.
So I say top priorities
1. Strong aggressive attck the ball CB
2. DM if possible
3. GK

I can’t remember him (servat) myself. But I’d like to get a centre back. Kolo and Gallas were ok up to the acn. After that gallas and senderos were ok. It seemed to go wrong from the cup game at old trrafford when they got back together and then we had kolo at right back. I think we should definitely bring someone in. I think he’ll use song though.

Michael, it depends on who you’re talking to……….but AKB’s to me mean people who want to cut themselves off from other Arsenal fans and criticise other fans for viewing the situation differently. There are polar extremes from totally AKB “shut up Arsene Knows” to “Arsene is lame, we should give him the boot” whenever they get fidgety.
I admire Wenger and also see him as a great manager, I will always have my opinion on matters so I won’t always agree, but being respectful is important, I can disagree and state why but understand that you have to trust a man to do his job. Giving feedback is important, being a supporter means you have your own view of games and policies.

Unfortunatley I think Eboue will stay, and therefore should only be used at RB, and ONLY IN AN EMERGENCY!
Big Phil is a liabilty at times, so I think we may see Song as cover for CB, and I never thought I would ever say that as I have always slated him, but he looked ok towards the end of last season.

Choy, i think toure abd gallas last played as a pair at chavs cos thats whens agna got injured, he was out after that and AW in his infinate wisdom put toure at RB, song in the middle, walcott left wing and dog shit eboue right wing. why on earth he didnt drop eboue to RB i dont know, or even just drop him full stop!
A world class CB and/ or a DM, a proper winger, (like good old Bobby Pirres), show Ade the door and bring in Eto and I think we have a great chance.
But as you said Ade will probably stay, (so he better hit more than 24 PL goals this season, and the majority of them need to be against proper PL sides, not 25% against Derby!), so we wont sign Eto.
The other 2, I think we’ll get either Barry or Alonso, (hopefully Barry), and I still think we might get Arshavin, who looked to me like he would do well on the left or upfront, although my ideal would be Ribery, but that simply wont happen

Trindad, I have high hopes for Diaby, i think his technical skills are great, his physique is right for the role, but like most of us, we’re concerned by his inexperience should things not turn out as planned. We had that backup stability with Gilberto, and we’ve lost it, we could do with an experienced player for that position because it is a total rookie brigade in the DMC position. Barry would be my choice, he’s reached the point where he’s good enough to play for Arsenal, and his help would be gratefully accepted by gooners, he can do it. I’m not as confident about Yaya Toure because he hasn’t shown peak form like Barry has last season.

Servet seemed to be best because there are harldy any guys around that fit the bill perfectly.

I just went to my mailbox to find a Eurosport catalog waiting for me. I flipped through to the “Club Team” section, only to be utterly shocked. NOTHING ARSENAL. NOTHING. I could hardly believe it. As club teams go, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool all pour millions of dollars into marketing, and getting their “brand” out, and Arsenal are no different . . . but seriously.
If an unsuspecting kid were to pick up a magazine, and flip to the Club Team section, his/her only options would be Man Ure, Chelski, or LiverP. I mean come on.
I know that this can be broken down into dollars and cents, but seriously . . . I was so chapped that they did not have any Arsenal gear, that I will most likely boycot and never buy any boots from them them again. They will never see my $200 bucks again! Never!
This might seem trivial to some, but the reality is that it all goes back to recognition. If we are to continue to grow as a club, we must start winning trophies (See, I figured a way to tie this back to winning silverware).

Would love to see either Yaya or Barry or both (dreaming!!!). Think Yaya is more dynamic on an individual level, but think Barry could be just the leader type we need.
