The selling of stars is a bit scary… but its completely logical… while you have a debt of a new stadium you can’t go overboard. Mayb with kroenke coming to the board we might get a bit more to spend. But the way we played last season without any big stars at the start of the season… I am hopefull about this one.

I think the forward line of vela and dudu will be something worth to look forward to.

The President of the organization’s job is to manage these very important functions of the club. If Arsene did make those comments, it would be the equivilent of me saying that my company is going to have to “eek along” and barely make it for the next 17+ years. Let me paint a lovely picture of what would happen to me, if I ran my mouth like that . . .

1. Maryland Gunner gets a call from the CEO – “Maryland Gunner . . . I need to speak with you in my office.”

2. Maryland Gunner quickly walks to CEO’s office – “Maryland Gunner . . . have you thought about taking a long vacation?” “No Mr. CEO, I have not.” “Well, we would like for you to take one . . . ”

3. Maryland Gunner calls his wife – “Honey, I am coming home early today.” “Why are you coming home early today dear?” “Well, I ran my big fat mouth, about stuff that I know nothing about, and . . . well . . . they are letting me take that long vacation that I have wanted to for some time now . . . without pay.”

4. Maryland Gunner calls brother – “Bro, I am moving in . . . the Mrs. kicked me out, and said that I am sitting on my brains for talking about stuff that I know nothing about.”

So, I hope that gives you all a sense of how stupid this article is/was, and if it be true . . . well, lets just pray that is not the case.

I am tired of the players that have all the control. A contract is a contract. I work in a world where a contract is a legal and binding document. Unless my company really screws the pooch, the company is tied into a 3-5 year partnership. Game, set, and match. Why do these rules simply not apply anymore?

When Lewin left, it opened up a spot for a new physio. I say, get a physio and a psychiatrist . . . these guys need shrinks.

I’m so sick of hearing about Arsene’s ability to turn nobodies into star players. Maybe United spend a bit more initially, but look at our homegrown talent like Scholes and Giggs and Becks…look at what we paid for some other players like Cantona (1 mil) and Ole Gunnar (1.5 mil) and the huge returns we got. We could’ve sold them for huge profits, but United believes in winning trophies to pay their players’ salaries. If Arsene won a trophy now and then, he could pay the players what they deserve, but his board won’t let him. Everyone says they do well with their money, and I won’t argue there, but if you gave Ferguson the budget Arsenal has, he could probably do it – just look at Aberdeen winning the CL in 86, reckon they had United’s budget? But at United, the standard is winning: it’s the standard Ferguson set for himself, and so long as he keeps winning, keeps his squad together, United will keep making money. We spent maybe 50 mil last summer on 4 world-class players, 3 of whom could ALREADY sell for more than we paid, then we won the double (ticket sales aside) that probably pays for all of them. This summer, we’ll spend far less and get the same success. Even Ferguson admits Chelsea’s oil money has changed the game, but he’s adapted and kept building successful sides.

Nadal did brilliantly in beating Roger and I enjoyed watching a sport where both of them wanted it so much, there was no bitching just pure sport. Well done gentlemen you are both a credit.
