Germany actually has some good defenders but their coach decided to use the same players from the 2006 WC. Marcel Shaefer is alot better than the horrible leftback Jansen and Westermann is alot better than Metzelder.

I was really looking forward to seeing him, especially as his own website says he would love to join Arsenal
I thought he was great in the first few games, but seemed to drop his performance levels as the tourney went on.
Most disspointing for me though was his lack of strength in the air. not sure if it was just his starting position but given his size he should have won more in the air.
I personally believe this (Roll on the abuse). If we started the season with big Phil, his confidence would grow. we fucked up by dropping him when Toure came back from ANC. At the time I thought Senderos was actually getting better game by game. I think he is still a talent, but he seems to have a self confidence problem.

just before Toure came, back the mistakes were becoming few and far between. At the time I thought he was playing better than Gallas.
But Consistency is the key and that is why unless we made him 1st choice, he would never make it at Arsenal.

As far as the Hunter goes, I gotta like him because his birth date is listed as August 12 1983 …exactly the same as my birthdate.
Yes it seems he may lack pace and may not fit our style but…..if he is a Ruud van nistle Roy type of player then, he can score goals in any league. Look at Ruud he scored in Holland , England and now Spain. So if he is that type of player we may not need to worry about pace. Those type of players are all about positioning which will work in any league. As Tommy smyth said Ruud scores GARBAGE goals, he scored about 150 of those goals in about 5 years, so maybe we need less finesse goals and more garbage goals to win.
Incidentally Ade gave us that option, even tho he did score a couple of great ones. The one he scored against Tottenham was goal of the season and rightfully so.
Why dont we go after Ronaldinho. He has said he is working hard to get back to his best and he also said he does not care where he plays, he just wants to prove himself again.

Just got back, I got Eduardo9 on mine and im lovin it, looks sooooo much better on than it does in photos. My lil bro’s Fab4 one looks great too. I was suprised though there were more people with Walcott14 on theirs than there was for Cesc, even saw one bloke with Eboue on the back (he’s either metally ill or taking the piss). All in all great day out with the family.

I read that in Africa, there is almost zero ground with floodlights, so all the matches need to be played during the day. And in summer, it is scorching hot in Africa during the day, so it should be sometime during the winter.

when you become a red member you are on the waiting list to become a silver member. Tickets go on sale to silver members a month before they go on sale to red members, but sadly there are very often none left.
I was a member at highbury for years, but gave it up when we had kids, as i could no longr go every week. I rejoined 7 yrs ago and am told that i missed out on an upgrade to silver this year by 500 people so next year i will be upgraded to silver, 8 years!
