So after a month of rumour and speculation Adebayor finally came out and said what we all wanted to hear, that he was staying, then in the same interview he said many other clubs were after him and he will decide where he goes next week. He’ll decide!!!
Many have been upset by this behaviour, indeed many are just plain angry, what he did was to raise everyones hopes, then dash them in the next breath, Togonator or Togotwat?
I’m going for the bit that ended in twat so here’s my view, I think he’s easily led, why? Because he has never had to learn how to behave or what to say to an adoring public, that he doesn’t really understand what a contract means, he really isn’t that bright, I also think the interviewer led him to say what he said, that said I don’t want to see the greedy arrogant tosser in an Arsenal shirt again, I would like to see Arsene stop pandering to these mercenaries and send out a message.
Ade had one good season in a team that created more chances than any other, see what he’s like at another team, he wasn’t that impressive at Monaco was he? How many of you got excited when we signed him?
Cesc loves the club and tells us he’s staying, Ade and Hleb clearly don’t, so should either rot in the stiffs or be sold for the max and be done with it.

Onto better and happier news, Theo has been given the untouchable number 14, fantastic news, if anyone can do that proud, it’s Theo, I really, really rate this kid and think he will be a revelation this season, I hope Thierry comes out and says something, that would be a nice touch.
So just when we thought the speculation would stop, it begins again. This does nothing other than make our club look stupid and when rotten apples do that, they have to be discarded before it affects the whole barrel.

Gilberto is a legend and should be kept, at the end of the season I think he was back to his best, but his loyalty is appreciated and should be rewarded. It seems to be a rarity these days at the Arsenal.

If you break your leg while in action you still deserve to get paid…there is no issue about that, if you are injured in the line of duty, you deserve compensation for the hardship caused, if it is a result of an action outside of work it’s an entirely different matter.

Bit gutted about Ade really. He only signed a new contract last summer and if this is the way he goes about his business to get another then we are better off without him.
If he stays and has another season like last season then by all means reward him with a better contract.

It’s easy to score a lot for Ajax, as you only have 3 good teams in that league (PSV-Ajax-Feijenoord) and the rest would be all relegated in the EPL..
But like many say, it’s easy to score 30 at Arsenal because of the service you get.
For that money you can probably get someone cheaper who’s better..

IMHO the Prem is the easiest league to score goals in. There are at least 10 rubbish teams in the Prem with only 4 good teams. Huntelaar is also scoring for Holland when he gets picked. Do you think spending 30 mill on Benzema would be a better bet then?

Our League will only compare with the best there is when we get players like Kaka (Italy) Ronaldinho (Spain) Ribery (Germany) playing here in their peak and not when their clubs have wasted them like Shevva (Chavski). We get gems like TH14, Fabrigas, The Winker etc that come along now and again but abroad they really don’t rate TH14 and Fab as much as we do and also why isn’t anyone else but Real in for the Winker. He will go there so they can make dosh on him.
Saying a player is not worth £19 million and only worth £16 million is Wengers diesese we have missed out on stacks of quality players because of a few million, he does the hard work and finds them to let them slip through his fingers.

I saw my 2 sons play at school both technically very good but got beat up by the shaven headed type thug who has limited ability but hurts you. That is Engerland for you. Tel, it’s a harsh assesment of the EPL, a league which by many abroad is seen as THE best league, and there will always be differences of opinion, however one of England’s good traits is that they embrace talent regardless of it’s origin, society in England is far more educated in that regard, and I speak as someone who grew up in London but now lives abroad and once you’re out of the country looking from the outside in, your perspective changes. There are plenty of good English players in the Premier League but you’re right about teams in the lower end of the league, there are teams on the continent who are better and just because they participate in the EPL doesn’t automatically bestow them with a status of superiority over title winners in other leagues in Europe.
Ade’s priority is material wealth, C.Ronaldo wants to fulfill his childhood and his mothers dream for playing for Real Madrid, there’s a reason for everything.
The fact that the EPL isn’t just a collection of Arsenals and Manyoos, all over Europe you’ll find teams who have a tough time in their respective top leagues, lets weigh up the many pros and cons and after all that, I’d say the EPL is a league more admired than joked about.

Hi mate, even out top league has many poor teams who only get near us (Arsenal) because of the culture of football in this country. When Oppo Managers and Media blatantly talk about stopping Arsenal because we don’t like it up them and never get challenged about these comments get away with this then we have no chance to change things.
Football is a beautiful game and there is room for all types of styles, but poor teams who get away with fighting and talk about battles and wars on a football field isn’t what I personally want.
Watching the Euro’s I have seen the foreigners adapt to our tireless non stop approach but they also have the technique. We are moving further backwards as a nation and as a League.

Adebayor and Hleb must both go. Their views have made it clear that they would be just poison for the club next season.
Adebayor misses too many chances to be considered a truely great striker and Hleb needed a whole season to get overcome his fear of shooting at goal. It was with Arsene’s belief in them and the club’s encouragement that helped both players come to the world’s notice, but when they have had one good season, they think that they have cracked it. Hardly! Same with Flamini. Just one good season.
Arsene’s talent for finding talent should have been a warning to them both – ‘if you go, we will replace you. Probably with someone better’.
And for those who feel that Arsenal only serve to create stars which they then sell, take heart! Fabregas wants to stay forever. Sagna wants to stay forever, to name but two.

I love Fab 1 but to say he will stay forever simply isn’t true. We will have him for 2/3 more years before he returns to Barca. Fortunately we have very capable replacements coming through.
Nasri (if he signs) Rosicky, Merida, Dennilson (yes Dennilson), Randall, Ramsey,Willshere,Diaby (yes Diaby) and wouldn’t David Silva look good too. Kaka even when his batteries run low at Milan. There is a rich variety of players in Cesc;s position.
I have the same fantasy that Cesc will be there forever but he won’t be. AW won’t be there forever either and Cesc thinks the world of his Mentor.
From the current team we have at the moment the players who would never want to leave would be Kolo. Hoyte, who we will sell and Almunia who nobody will want. The rest would all go if their chances were to improve. Even Clichy has time on his side to ply his trade elsewhere one day.
