That’s it then, it’s official, Le Grove’s own steward on the inside tells us a photographer has been called in this Sunday to take a picture of Samir Nasri in an Arsenal shirt, presumably the new one, well done El Tel, let’s hope it true and we can celebrate Monday’s post with a picture of our new wonder kid.
Othe great news is that Robin the boy wonder has now said he’s signing a new contract and is not worried about them money, if that’s true then more good news indeed, about time, but it makes me wonder what he was on about earlier in the week, but then this will forever be known as the week of the turnaround!
Finally by now you would have all seen the clip of Eduardo, my god what an incredible player, Rosicky and Robin take note, I cannot believe anyone can recover that quickly, burn him, he’s a warlock!!!
Not a lot on today, no signings the boss is being paid by someone else to commentate, so you’ll all have to wait, hopefully our inside source is right and it won’t be too long now.
Happy Saturday Grovers.

Your advertisment is going well on Wrighty7 P&G.
Theres no such thing as bad publicity, we talk Arsenal they talk Le Grove.
turn hleb into yaya AND dos santos and maybe some cash
Anyone who seen Dos Santos over the course of the season will tell you he’s just hype, very overated in humble opinion, also his lifestyle and off-field avtivities isn’t encouraging .
As for him scoring a classy hatrick in a meaningless end of season game … …….. well, i do remember a certain Jemaine Pennant scoring a cool hatrick once at Highbury in simillar circumstances & we all where he ended up after that.
*know*
Is Dos Santos what we really need?
I don’t doubt his potential but if you are classing him as a forward then surely we should be looking at established no potential. It just would not be a instant return
I was thinking the same as abdenor about the comparrision with Pennants hat-trick
I dont even think we are after a striker, but would if we were it would be Benzemma or maybe even Santa Cruz that would better suit the requirement
Totally agree with your notion on dos santos. I’ve seen him play quite a lot and he’s not that good at this point in time. He may get better in the future though.
Anyone who watched barca this season will tell you that bojan is much further ahead in his progression.
i really rate benzema. I think he is a future world player of the year and may even reach the heights of the great thierry henry.
And If Dos Santos did come across as part of any Hleb deal (which has not even been speculated) I reckon we would loan him straight back to spain anyway
Abdenor,
Its funny you mention the Pennant hatrick, I just saw it last night watching the 49-Unbeaten DVD
Over the course of a few games Cesc’s hair went from long & blonde to short & black?
Im back in case anyone missed me, Satuday and I havent stopped working!!
So the views on Dos Santos are mixed – Frank R thinks a lot of him and so do I, yes he is not yet the finished player and I understand the comments about a hatrick in a meaningless game, but you still have to have quality to score that type of hatrick, especially the last, it was like his boot was a sand wedge…..
If he signs for us together with Yaya as part of the Hleeeeeb deal, I will be extremely happy…..
Does anyone know what time the photographer is booked for tomorrow?
If El Tel is spot on, then I hope the announcement comes out tomorrow aswell, and I still think it wont be just one player announced. I hope its the scarey centre half and Nasri – The Hleb/Yaya scenerio will be by the end of the week I read somewhere
Daily Telegraph report we are after this guy
Dani Güiza –
27 goals for his club and none of which were penalties……
Where do they get their rubbish from
Which ‘big club’ is going to try and buy Hart then,
Bet its the Scummers
Have you been mowing the grass all day rico?
You must have a mansion.
I love Jamie Rednapp – he has said that Ashley Cole could never be replaced at AFC…………………
But Gael Clichy has come in a surpased Cole, he is just the perfect LB in his opinion, and Sagna is the perfect RB –
I want Jamie’s children!!!
david – no mansion sadly just loads of bloody weeds! And then shopping, got the bottle to pop the cork tomorrow when all our new signings are announced!!
Wenger doesn’t want Yaya Toure, if he did he’d have signed him years ago. It was only when he was in Belgium that he couldn’t get a work permit but years have passed since then & he has been a regular for the Ivory Coast, as I say if Wenger wanted him he’d have signed him long ago. Yaya has only recently had an operation so wouldn’t even get close to passing a medical right now & I’ve never known Wenger sign players that haven’t proved they’ve already recovered from an injury.
I’m beginning to think all this s*** about Wenger making his signings within 3 weeks was all a complete load of bull to keep people off his back & now he’s out the country & can avoid the media until August when he’ll announce a couple of unknowns!!
GMR -its good that you think that way, you are going to be so happy when AW reveals all the quality he has purchased!!
I fear you could be right GMR
He came out with similar comments last season with the super super class player statement.
Basically he has until next weekend, then its the Euros so the players will be untouchable for three weeks.
I just hope he can secure his targets before pre-season, otherwise they will be getting used to the premiership and we wont see them till crimbo
Great news on Eduardo though, I think he will be massive for us next year.
Also this is a massive season for RVP and Rosicky. it is last chance saloon for both as far as I am concerned. if either have an injury ravished season again, we should just cut our losses with them.
As for Yaya, I reckon Wenger does want him, as he has talked highly of him publicly in the past and if it wasnt for a immigration system that sucks as much as the UK’s one for allowing spongers and blocking those who can pay their own way he would already be a gooner. I think he would have taken him last year, but as soon as Barca got involved we were instantly priced out.
YaYa work permit?
http://ivorycoast.worldcupblog.org/1/cote-divoire-midfielder-yaya-toure-reveals-arsenal-discontent.html
rico01, I’ve been trying this reverse physcology for years now but it never works for me. Considering Friar was supposedly talking to Wenger about finalising a signing 2 weeks ago & it still hasn’t happened suggest that should the conversation be true then the deal fell through. Luckily for me I’m off the my Villa on monday & I’m not taking my laptop & I won’t be buying any papers so I’ll have a couple of weeks peace, then when I come back Hleb will probably have gone & we’ll still be doing sod all.
Patthegooner, all the euro nations that have qualified will be heading off this week to Austria & Switzerland. There isn’t a hope in hell that managers will release players then to come for medicals or contract discussions etc. If we are after players that are going to the euro’s then the deals should’ve been done by now. I know people will point to Rosicky being released but that was way before the world cup tournament started & not when they were in the final preparations, even then the Czech coach was too happy about it.
I’m watching the France vs. Paraguay game and heard the commentator talking about Nasri while he was warming up and called him “The Arsenal Man”
GMR – well lets hope this year is different, have a fab holiday especially after Nasri is declared ours tomorrow
I just think this summer it will be different – even the Great AW knows he has to get it right NOW or his position will have to be called into question!
Please dont think i want to start a witch hunt for our managers head though – far from it, I want him to get the right players signed to get us some silverware
What channel TH please?
http://www.justin.tv/ronaldo_madrede#
rico, thats what we all want. Its just year by year my expectations are going downwards & its really disappointing. Everything at Arsenal is geared for success & a fair amount of that is due to Wenger’s past visions but now he is letting things slip & it seems to be just to prove a point.
I understand where you are coming from GMR – fingers crossed this year….
I’m watching the betfair feed of the french game & when Nasri just came on they absolutely insisted he was an Arsenal player & that we have signed him for 17 million pounds!! Fingers crossed eh!!
Thanks GMR – yep, and my toes, i just fell over!!
Nasri’s looked class since he came on but i’m not sure what his best position is, reminds a lot of Joe Cole in style of play and stature.
he looked real quality. Everytime he got the ball he used it well and he livened up the game when he came on.
I agree Nasri looked good when he came on, the few times the others passed to him he was really exciting & had two decent shots. I don’t know if they were playing in Marseille’s stadium but the fans went mad when he came on.
Hopefully its a done deal, the commentator was really insisting the deal was done, don’t really know why he was so sure.
xabi alonso is playing instead of fabregas tonight. What a joke
Oh well, im off, slepp well all and heres to a busy day tomorrow
Sweet dreams Grovers!!
David Villa is playing really well and he’s got a goal. Hint! Hint! Arsene
so whats happened has is el tel telling the truth?
the commentators seem to think so. They said the deal was done for 17 million euros
but any confirmation on the date that we will see him announced.
unfortunately not.
ughh whens el tel gettin back ffs i wana talk to him
he best not be lieing
apparently nasri signed for arsenal today!!!
i hope its true!!!
check this out…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samir_Nasri
guys El Tel said 2pm at the stadium with the photographer…..he only went on the word of the arsenal photographer…
this could be how it looks tomorrow.

Arsene Wenger may leave Arsenal for PSG
By Matthew Spiro
Last Updated: 1:52am BST 01/06/2008
Arsene Wenger is planning to leave Arsenal when his contract expires in 2011 to become president of Paris St Germain, The Sunday Telegraph understands. The Frenchman, who was appointed Arsenal manager in 1996 and has overseen one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, has already established close links with PSG and played an influential role in their restructuring this week.
And it goes on……..
If there is any truth in this, surely its time to bring in DB10 into the fold as a successor to AW. Anyway, its food for thought.
Also i am so disappointed that kids in Bolton and/or other non English speaking parts of England (North of Watford) don’t consider me a true Arsenal fan. Naaaaah!!! I’m over it. Where’s El Tel?
GMR
he has been a regular for the Ivory Coast, as I say if Wenger wanted him he’d have signed him long ago.
He couldn’t get a work permit at the time , so we got rosicky – hleb – diarra – cesc – always had bert – why would arsene over stock the midfield ?
how ever im sure now the situation has changed … whilst im not really fussed either way about yaya , i would say they are reasons he has never followed it up , also once you go to Barca – real Madrid or any other top shelf Spanish club your price triples ! so from last year onward im sure wenger took him off the shopping list ..
but a swap for hleb would kill 2 birds with one stone ..
i wouldnt put it out of the realms of possibility !
i think DB10 is an apprentice coach to someone atm, so who knows, its definately possible!
i found this on the “telegraph”s website, a piece written by DB10′s former agent when he came to arsenal, jerome anderson: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS&grid=&xml=/sport/2008/06/01/sfngue101.xml
pretty interesting though, talks about the euro’s, big players under-performing initially, and the main ppl to watch throughout the tournament, also the clubs coming up from the championship.
united !
Villa is a class striker ! thats why we wont buy him !!
pat
He came out with similar comments last season with the super super class player statement.
he was half correct we lost a super super class player , maybe thats what wenger was on about ,anyway where have you been ? writing on the AKB webpages ? a certain delusional bear from jellistone park?
yeah, villa would be nice but i wouldn’t mind guîza though either.
top scorer in la liga is a good effort when your not with real or barca. lots of competition for him though unfortunately, and his value may go up in over the next month (or it could go down if he plays more of what he did last night, haha).
bergy is about to go for his coaching papers back in holland…
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/european_football/article4024266.ece
Canada looked good a few times against brazil!
Bergy is going for his coaching papers back in dutch land!

Bergy is takng his coaching papers back in Holland
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article4027620.ece
yes james
he’s at ajax ..
i think , he’s somewhere in his home country for sure , i think its ajax doing his badges
yeah timesonline has an article on it
i would of liked arsene to stay on and be director of football !
but im sure dennis has seen enough of wenger , and adams for that matter also .
i think either one of them will be called upon when arsene does retire ..
gotta say i do like sergio ramos though ! i always thought he was one of europe’s finest !
If the spuds will ever try and get one over on us , they definitely have the right coach to make it happen ! quite frankly im scared at how well they have recruited the past 2 seasons , they only lacked a good footballing brain ! but now they have it !.. Also i hope taksin is ostracized from Thailand, if he is the UK’s problem that would be fine with me !
One thing for sure is by taking over 100 million pounds in blood money off the wanker
it will seriously impede his transfer kitty this season !
HA HA FUCKIN HA ! from the small town where my wife is from, to get people to vote for him he paid them 200b per head per vote ! now thats democratic isnt it !
3 quid a vote !
he put the new puppet prime minister in charge in the same vain !
thats the sort of wanker running Man Shitty FC !
hahaha…thats funny! sounds like a knob!
evo
he was never the country’s favorite !
he just bribed his way into power then abused it for 4 years !
he was former police force , and they are all as corrupt as hell here !
no surprise really .
his wage as a PM was something like 60 000 pounds a month
and in 4 years have over 500 million quid that couldnt be explained !
i cannot believe that the FA let him purchase M-C and work in the UK
it fucking baffles me to this day … how he managed to purchase a football club !
i s’pose like everyone one else he’s ever come across he has just bribed them !
he stole over a billion baht from the new international airport during construction.
owned massive lots of land in koh sumi ,pattaya, phuket and bangkok which he put in his kids names as he couldnt buy investments whilst being PM !!
If the uk even knew 1/2 of the truth im sure they would deport the prick !
im even more pissed off that he is part of the best league in the UNIVERSE !
and i have to still hear his names in certain circles !
put ade and taksin in a boat and send them off to a deserted island & my life would be complete !
actually i take that back sell ade for 25 mil to barca and taksin is already on an island
the british island
ok just sell ade then
Morning Ethan
No I have been working down in South America for a few weeks. I was hoping to come back to 2-3 signings yet I think I always knew in the back of mind it would not happen so quickly
Definately not posting on the AKB sites, I think you know yourself that although we disagree on some things, we were both fighting in the same corner on ACLF last summer regarding lack of depth and I think we were both told to go and support another club. Although the club exceeded our expectations we were right in that it was a trophyless season
Lot of speculation in the UK press this morning about Wenger going to PSG in 2011. I think it is the 2+2= 134 syndromme, his good friend has just gone there, so of course a link exists and you just know the press will jump on Arsenal at the earliest opportunity.
Again its paper talk but the mirror also claim that Henry nearly went to Man Ure two weeks ago. A bit contradictory with Henry’s own claim that Arsenal were the only English Club he will play for, but then I remember him saying he was a Gooner for life 2 months before leaving.
Finally the NOTW link us with Piotr Trochowski from Hamburg (Flamini Replacement?)
We shouldn’t b e looking at Yaya as a swap, we should be looking at Yaya and Dos Santos plus cash and a swap, we need more players, not replacements, he needs to pull his finger out as the Euros will be on us and that will be it, everyones price goes up and he’ll say we can’t afford them.
I wouldn’t mind but £25 million is a lot he’s spent none of it and all we’re doing is losing players.
Something has to happen soon.
Evo, sorry mate you had 3 comments awaiting moderation last night and I have no idea why???
ethan, Wenger could have signed Yaya on several occasions when the work permit wasn’t a problem eg 2005 when he left Donetsk. Yaya has been a regular for the Ivory Coast since 2004.
You say our midfield was overstocked & list Diarra who we signed on the last day of the 2007 summer transfer window!! Yaya transferred earlier that summer & Barca didn’t go in for him until fairly late on so why didn’t Wenger sign him if as he has since said he thought Flamini was leaving??
I repeat again, Arsene has had a minimum of 3 opportunities to sign Yaya Toure for a quite cheap fee since he left Beveren & has choosen not to, yet people suddenly think he’s going to stump up 10+ million for a guy that has been carrying an injury most of the season!! I just don’t see it myself. Someone above posted a link to a old Yaya article & even he admits in that he isn’t keen on Arsenal & he doesn’t think they ever rated him that highly!!
yeah strange…i was trying to post the bergkamp link about him taking his coaching papers…
Agreed Geoff
I am getting a bit worried…..and annoyed about this.
I know there is a supposed photo shoot today, and ok the Nasri signing is a step in the right direction, but for me that signing should have been made 12 months ago prior to us playing Diaby and Denilson out of position all season.
Does not solve the CB or the CM problem. I know we have 3 months left of the transfer windown open, and many will say relax, but I feel we always make the mistake of buying into pre-season which means the players need season time to adjust.
Come on Arsene, back up your talk with some signings
Yes spot on Pat and then we relax and he’ll sign a Diarra on the last day! We go through 3 months of watching Spurs sign Modric (who we wanted) Dos Santos, Bostik, etc, etc.
If they are a photo shot today surely they would have announced some kind of press conference, no? Let suppose they do and if they did would you not think that there is possibly another player as well as Nari or perhaps three!!! (Its my way of keeping positive)
I would think if they take pictures today, then the press conference would have to be today otherwise Nasri will be back with the French squad, it won’t be Barry then as he’s in the Caribbean.
new post?????????
Hey I am happy to admit when last summer I felt we were really gambling on keeping a champions league position. I didn’t foresee the brilliance of Sagna, the goal tally of Adebayor or the CM partnership of Flamini and Cesc, but looking back now the reluctance to sign a wide player last summer was criminal. We all wanted one then, we all knew that Rosicky is fragile and we all knew that the Eboue experiment was destined to fail. I also did not expect Spurs to be so crap. I dont think they will be again this season and I bet they come closer to challenging that top 4
I honestly believed then that just two more players, another striker and a quality wide man would have turned us into genuine title challengers. Ok we were in the end, but if that wide man had of come in, I honestly believe we would be sat here as Champions now.
Really dont want him to miss the bigger picture this year. I think sometimes his ego of having to produce home grown and switching a players position to fill gaps clouds his vision and I can already see clouds forming in Djorou, Denilson or Diaby being the CM replacement, The Eboue experiment to last another season and I haven’t got a clue how he is going to solve the CB issue.
NEW POST!
easy facts, ppl dont work on sunday, Arsenal will not get a pic of nasri on sunday, Its could b monday though i doubt it has France play on tuesday, so its gotta b Wednesday as saturday the Euros begin
Anybody know what’s going on? I read on another site somebody said that somebody from this site said there was a lot of people coming out of the Emirates tunnel today and got a glimpse of somebody in an Arsenal shirt. Any truth to that?
yeah that was me i just saw a lot of people
and one had a red blur around him
its hard to see on the webcam though
where else did you seee that?
Roman I teel you I have no need to lie about the camera man. FFS I was buzzing when he told me. He was booked to be at the Stadium at 2pm yesterday. I am gutted it doesn’t seem like it happened. Others are reporting a photo shootat the Stadium too but I have no idea whats happening. I am soory for all of us if you thought I would make it up. Honest guys I didnt.
Damn…either the photographer played you or they played him. Just watched a video on tv showing France’s team training and Nasri was there with them.
I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for
something relating to this.
