Yes, it is true! Read here. Nasri should be a gooner by the close of play today and if he is… you’d be a miserable bastard if you weren’t excited!
He seems to have the same dribbling skills as Hleb, but more directness in front of goal… he has been dubbed the new Zidane, which is quite a tag! Wenger is reportedly about to splash £13million on him.
If you think that is exciting, wait for the next bit of news…
Juve want Senderos for £5million and they’ve demanded Eboue as part of the deal!
Okay, I lied about the last bit…
The shame of it is I really can’t see the boss letting Senderos go. If I was Arsene, I would just admit it hasn’t worked out for big Phil, but Arsene won’t, he let Bentley go, got shot of Richard Wright and Francis Jeffers in a heartbeat, but Eboue and Senderos he won’t give in on, and they’ll be here for ever, so Grovers, don’t get your hopes up.
In other news says that Robin is confident of making the Euros, thanks boy wonder, at least we know where your loyalties lie, if you had a hair on your arse, you’d tell Holland you’ve had 3 consecutive injury strewn years with Arsenal, mostly caused by playing for Holland, but the minute you’re fit, you’re back playing for them.
I really rate you and love you playing for us, but if you get injured again playing for your country, we ought to sue Holland and sack you. Enough is enough. Check out Pedro’s new RvP widget in the sidebar.
We’ll have a shed load of players playing in the summer, so we’ll need a big squad to see us through Champions league qualification and the start of the season, so either way Arsene, you need to buy some decent players.
Not Thuram, buy a centre back that is the right age and is a CENTRE BACK please this time.
Have a hopeful day grovers!
Update:
A quick laugh for you:
The 24-year-old said he was not concerned Milan will miss the Champions League next season after finishing fifth in Serie A.
“I don’t mind at all,” he said. “Those who play in the UEFA Cup with Milan know that it’s the exception of one season. Milan are the team with most (international) titles in the world.
And another…
“Serie A is returning to the top. The problems are water under the bridge, lots of great players will come to Italy.”
Enjoy that brown grass Flamini…

May 21, 2008 at 09:17
ah first grove, as it were! ha ha ha joey barton sent down for 6 months….baa baa baaa daa daaa, im lovin’ it!
so IF nasri is coming can we assume that the ben arfa thing is dead in the water?
May 21, 2008 at 09:19
my dream and what we arsenal fans deserve
nasri and ben arfa in a double swooop
we deserve it
May 21, 2008 at 09:20
eduard
we should also try signing him as well, he aint going to sign a striker because he made it clear carlos vela will be up front or maybe, he sometimes sends edaurdo there on the left too.
but we do need a central midfielder some big fucker like yaya toure or something or a little monster like jean makoun
May 21, 2008 at 09:20
I’ve added a bit to the bottom… It’s a dream news day!
May 21, 2008 at 09:23
Hopefully the Nasri stuff is true, no doubt I’ll be glued to the newsnow all day & nothing will happen.
Out of Nasri & Ben Arfa I would still have preferred Ben Arfa, he is much more the winger we need as opposed to another central player who’s probably going to be played out of position. Don’t get me wrong from the few times I’ve seen Nasri & from the videos of him he is clearly an exceptional talent & certainly a very exciting signing, hopefully we can get both!! We may even get confirmation in the next couple of days that Hleb has left.
May 21, 2008 at 09:23
tha nasri link goes nowhere… =/
May 21, 2008 at 09:23
your link is not working.
I hope the announcement does happen today. It will give us some good news when our rivals play in the CL final.
Lets hope he has a great Euro (Nasri) and becomes a first team player.
May 21, 2008 at 09:25
Morning all (again)!!
What a great day!!
Nasri’s coming
Cashley’s crocked,
Sun is shining,
And to top it all off that money grabbing cnut is talking out of his ass!!! Very amusing.
Oh and another one I saw on news now earlier…spuds are thinking of going for……. Thierry Henry!!!! I’m still wiping tears of laughter away!! Hilarious!!
I sense a big day today chaps!! Let’s keep eyes and ears peeled, and whoever knows somebody that knows somebody near our training ground, let us know if you see anything please!!
May 21, 2008 at 09:25
so if helbs goes whos his replacment, im guessing we’re all assuming that nasri is the ‘creative’ player wenger mentioned???
May 21, 2008 at 09:26
GMR… we are finally signing a player that everyone in World football has been interested in!
I don’t see why we can’t get Arfa as well… but I would guess Marseille have said they’ll sell us Nasri if we lay off Arfa.
If Juve are after Big Phil… he should go, he might suit the pace of Italy… that would be too much though, to expect a player we want to go, to actually go…
Thierry to Spurs eh?
What a joke… It’s like the Elephant man trying to pull Jessica Alba… you cringe at the thought of them even trying…
May 21, 2008 at 09:28
GunnerShabz i couldnt agree with you more, personally i would liove to see yaya here BUT im just getting a sniff of last season when we were chatting abouty robinho, ribery etc and we brought my namesake(!) and bacary….who saw that coming? sell helb, if he wants out then fine, nasri, ben arfa and yaya and GIVE ebouseless to derby FOC
May 21, 2008 at 09:28

May 21, 2008 at 09:29
Monin Gunners
Nasri for Emirates thats good news hey….
I have one wish for 2nyts champions league game, both chelsea and manchester united must loose………
http://www.latest-arsenal.blogspot.com
May 21, 2008 at 09:29
I hope Nasri comes and we dont let Hleb go as both of them on the wings would be half way to the title instead of good old Eboue (NOT!) or the injury prone Rosicky.
Senderos will never go unfortunately but we need another centre half – what about Micah Richards if SVen Sven Sven goes from Manchester City??????
May 21, 2008 at 09:32
Nasri is the creative player, wenger was talking about
experience probarly someone like thuram or ayala
now flamini is gone, probarly a jean makoun, yaya toure, gareth barry
if hleb goes, he needs to get a replacement and that is hatem ben arfa
May 21, 2008 at 09:33
Apparently arsenal are in for Ben Arfa, but are close to signing 3 french players!!
http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1766_3591251,00.html
May 21, 2008 at 09:36
Agreed though GMR, I would still prefer Ben Afra too. He seems to be a bit more of a finished product than Nasri. Don’t get me wrong, Nasri looks good, but he needs polishing, and a better finish. Great ball-handling skills though. I guess we’ll see as the day plays out though, who knows though. Probably only Arsene and a select few… =/
As to Senderos to Juventus, I think we should let him go. I doubt we will let him go though. Liked the Eboue bit though, haha!
May 21, 2008 at 09:36
GMR I think Francis Coquelin has already signed as mentioned yesterday, but he’s more one for the future as he’s only 17. dont know who the other guy is.
May 21, 2008 at 09:37
GMR good stuff
well if we can get them all and get hatem ben arfa and a central defender, we done all our summer shoppin
May 21, 2008 at 09:37
samir nasri, i am very happy thanks u arsen. he is our present and future. boyz believe me he is a great thing. nasri, nasri, nasri
May 21, 2008 at 09:39
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7923594413165991047&hl=en
the cesh show, i hope those who missed it watched it on my google link, took me about 12 hours to do!
Nasri lets be ‘avin ya!
May 21, 2008 at 09:39
this is too good to be true.
hope he get’s number 10 and make gallas weep again about his number.
May 21, 2008 at 09:40
Unfortunately I think we’re stuck with Senderos and Eboue for at least another season!!
Chris well done mate! 24 hours of hard work finally bore fruit aye?
May 21, 2008 at 09:40
“Nasri, whose season was disrupted by meningitis”
jesus that is a tough break from the guy, and he came back, RVP & Rosicky could learn from this guy
May 21, 2008 at 09:41
if we do get nasri, i be looking forward to euros 2008 and watching him play
like what happened to rosicky seen him play a blinder against usa in world cup
May 21, 2008 at 09:42
Chris….. watched it this morning. Thanks very much for your work
May 21, 2008 at 09:43
you are welcome big raddy, next time ill post it to you, what ever it is next time plus it will be in better quality
May 21, 2008 at 09:44
If John Terry got meningitis he would just taken aspirin and report for training the next day. Which must be something to do with being thick, and repugnant
May 21, 2008 at 09:45
We need a CB. The excitement is always when teams sign exciting talents but we desperately need a defender as well.
May 21, 2008 at 09:46
meninegitis bloody hell!!! I’m thinking the odd hamstring injury will be a doddle for him then!! Trooper!!
May 21, 2008 at 09:48
Agreed GMR. Though I think a defensive coach is even more of a necessity. We have the players (one more would be great) but they lack cohesion.
May 21, 2008 at 09:51
we need to sort our defence out and well need a good centre back…. for sure
fabio cannavaro anyone..
May 21, 2008 at 09:51
This is a quick google translation of Nasri story in the french website.
Information Team: Samir Nasri play Arsenal next season.
The young leader trained in the OM could even sign his contract for the Gunners before returning to the team of France in Clairefontaine on Wednesday at 19:30, when it will begin collecting Bleus before the Euro.
The two clubs, Arsenal and Marseilles, would have agreed on a transfer fee of 15 million euros, reveals L’Equipe. Nasri, whose season was marked by several physical glitches, including viral meningitis, had extended his contract until 2012 with the underlying idea to allow his club trainer of pocketing a nice allowance transfer.
There will be four seasons, discovered the Champions League, the team of France, won the title of best hope of L1 in 2007. A twenty-year career that saw Real Madrid a year ago as the new Zidane will accelerate.
May 21, 2008 at 09:51
remember Wenger let Cygan go.
He could still let Senderos go. We now have 5 CB’s, and he wants to bring a new one in.
May 21, 2008 at 09:51
so we’re not getting arfa?
May 21, 2008 at 09:52
Nasri is a more finished product than Ben Arfa .. he is better technically as well
whether he is the one we need is another question.. I thought we needed more of a winger, but then Arfa is not your typical winger either .. he drifts in quite a bit.. he is no Capel/Navas etc..
but we need more steal in our side .. we need to buy more physical players
also this seems to back up the move from Hleb .. Nasri and Hleb are NOT going to play together
May 21, 2008 at 09:53
so at 14 mill or so .. .our record transfer?!!
May 21, 2008 at 09:53
IT FEELS LIKE I JEST START BREATHING NOW WHEN I HEADR THE NASRI NEWS WOW WOW WOW WOW
May 21, 2008 at 09:54
i dont think wenger likes wingers
we never had one
marc overmars was a winger but not that kinda one where he floats in croses, he was a goal scoring one
pires, same thing like hleb and nasri, good dribbling skills and passing and good finisher
rosicky, hleb no need to say anything
glenn helder was the last winger we bought
May 21, 2008 at 09:54
nasri and ben arfa both coming on…don let hleb go plzz…we need him to stay at arsenal midfield…
May 21, 2008 at 09:54
we need a winger in the mould of petrov…. with a wicked cross..
but he shouldn’t be lazy like him..
May 21, 2008 at 09:54
I watched the Cesc show earlier and thought it was an enjoyable romp.
I suspect the bloke who wrote this piece is a Spurs fan..

May 21, 2008 at 09:58
I hope we do get Arfa…. i found an article this morning with the Lyon chairman saying we are still in for Ben Arfa but he would rather he went to another French club and said he has had no contact from Marseille for him yet.

“Nasri’s signing is likely to be followed by the arrivals of Clement Chantome and Francis Coquelin.
Chantome was one of the few Paris Saint Germain players to come out of last season with any plaudits after a string of impressive displays in central midfield.
The 22-year-old has been likened to Mathieu Flamini and Wenger is reported to have met with the French Under-21 international in the last week. ”
Interesting but still might not happen. I expect wenger meets with a lot of players during the summer but signs very few.
What we need is a Sol Campbell mark 2, about 24 years old! I cant think of any English players that fit that bill but people under-estimate how important the Sol signing was back in 2001. he was the rock and the foundation of all our trophy successes after he joined. He was Adams’ replacement and since Sol left we have desperately needed a big centre half to dominate defence. People would say Henry or Cesc, but I tell you Sol Campbell was Wengers most important signing of his 11 years here. maybe not best player but MOST IMPORTANT.
I hope wenger uses Hleb to get the player we need in some kind of swap.
May 21, 2008 at 09:58
its everywhere
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3591228,00.html
and those other 2 french players
May 21, 2008 at 09:59
dear ken
i am disappointed by your opinion please retract it,
the writer of the piece is not a spud but a northern mc Cunt
He is an ardent Manchester United supporter and writes a regular column for fanzine ‘United We Stand’. (from wiki) charybdis can you see your conspiracy theory is going strong.
what a tosser jim white is,
May 21, 2008 at 10:00
To the guy who said Ben Arthur is the more polished player: that made me laugh really hard!
Seriously don’t comment on players if you’ve only seen them on youtube!
Nasri is the complete player! Benny requires so much polishing it’s unbelievable!
May 21, 2008 at 10:00
I agree Wenger does not like wingers, I dont think there is the need for them in the way the modern game is played.
I also think we are moving towards a 4 3 3 formation. Ade in the middle, RVP or Walcott on the right and Perhaps Nasri/ Rosicky on the left.
May 21, 2008 at 10:03
can anyone in london look out the window and see if nasri has brought ben arfa with him?
May 21, 2008 at 10:04
Agree chris, i thinl the last line of the article is the give away…an audience with paul scholes!!!
May 21, 2008 at 10:05
It is indeed a very exciting day. So exciting in fact, you should all treat yourselves to a few minutes on http://ratemycameltoe.com
For those of you that are still not excited/happy with the available news today, perhaps you should spend 5 minutes on the very sick http://ratemypoo.com …… you deserve it !!!
May 21, 2008 at 10:06
its a bit sad that a journo would be so personal in a piece like that
May 21, 2008 at 10:08
Fair enough Chris I retract it but you can see how I came to that conclusion.. Btw, cheers for the Cesc show link.
May 21, 2008 at 10:08
thanks bud, thats me sacked then
May 21, 2008 at 10:09
cnut is the word I believe you’re looking for chris!
Is it me or does Nasri look like he’s got an arsenal top on in that sky news bit?! Crafty buggers very appropriate photo indeed!
May 21, 2008 at 10:10
Didn’t I say so guys ! it’s in the Mank-scum loving medias interest to big them up at every opportunity and to undermine The Arsenal.
But us goons are onto them – we don’t fall for their disinformation.
May 21, 2008 at 10:10
no worries buddy, it downloaded really quick for me but uploading to google took 4ever,
May 21, 2008 at 10:12
WHO ARE THE OTHER TWO
May 21, 2008 at 10:13
whabt about this image odub
http://goonertalk.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/arsenal.jpg?w=107&h=150
May 21, 2008 at 10:15
I’m hoping Wenger is playing it something along the lines of:- sign Nasri today to indulge the fans & keep them quiet for a few days, sell Hleb on friday (remember the 10 day all should be clear comment from his agent) & then over the weekend or on monday sign Ben Arfa once the cup final is finished!!
Then that would be all the attacking talent we need & he could concentrate on a defensive player or two, which are usually easier to sign.
If we could sign Nasri & Ben Arfa our team would be filled with sheer pace once again. We would have some of the quickest players anywhere in Nasri, Ben Arfa, Walcott & Vela. That would enable Wenger to take off a quick player & bring on another with something different to add if the gameplan wasn’t working!!
May 21, 2008 at 10:18
v happy about Nasri coming, but what does this mean for Merida?
not that fussed if we don’t get Ben Arfa. Samir Nasri was, like HBA, voted #1 young player of france (last year, before a sickness-hit season for Sammy).
Veloso and Lucio, and all will be right with the world
also, are we sure Hleb’s off?
May 21, 2008 at 10:19
stop it GMR… you’ll get us all excited
May 21, 2008 at 10:20
Bradley Hlebs almost a dead cert to leave mate
May 21, 2008 at 10:22
Great pic chris!!! lol
GMR that seems very precise, you sure you’re not on the inside?!!!
May 21, 2008 at 10:23
Sod you lot, I’m getting myself all excited!!
The only thing worrying me at the moment is the lack of any info from Marseille. We all know what Arsenal are like so thats no surprise, but if Marseille had agreed a deal to sell Nasri I’m pretty sure they’d have announced it on their website, however all it says on there is that Nasri is joining up with France today!!
May 21, 2008 at 10:25
Odub, I do actually know someone on the inside but he hasn’t given me any information for about two years now. Whether its because he isn’t getting any info or just doesn’t want to tell anyone I don’t know, but he’s been useless!!
May 21, 2008 at 10:28
just cos nasri looks all done doesnt mean arfa isnt, arfa said he’d spoken about arsenal (a while ago now) so im hoping they r both done deals.
wenger could have easily sorted both deals out in the time since the season finished, knowing that helb was going and while he france he coul dhave sorted the nasri deal after sorting the ben arfa one.
what r the odds we sign niether?
May 21, 2008 at 10:32
tom, there is a possabilty that both might not happen, but we all refuse to be negative and makes for very boring bloggin
May 21, 2008 at 10:33
Nasri is only a good signing if Hleb stays, because if the ice cream muncher goes we will still need to sign another attacking midfielder.
May 21, 2008 at 10:36
GMR I’d get him/her into a torture chamber and make him/her talk!!! We need information and we need it NOW!!
Sorry guys but in order of quality please rate Benzema, Afra and Nasri, because I aint got a clue about these kids?
May 21, 2008 at 10:38
we’ll surely get nasri or arfa…. or if the gods are smiling down upon us maybe both!!
May 21, 2008 at 10:39
too right Chris. If all the media can speculate, why can’t we?
bring on Essien/Robinho and Sergio Ramos.
Lunch calls…. back in a couple of liquid hours
May 21, 2008 at 10:40
if we’re gonna sign a frenchman from PSG (Clement Chantome) I’d much rather we look at Jerome Rothen. His left foot is exceptional, his delivery is one of the most deadly I’ve seen be it aerial or whipped in low into the box. “the left-sided david beckham”; top on assists this year in a club that’s been battlign relegation, no less http://sport.aol.fr/fr/football/d1/2008/passeurs/classement1.html
(note nasri is just 1 behind him though, having played fewer games!!)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=D4wBmoF7XRE
May 21, 2008 at 10:42
Nasri and Arfa would be great! That would be dream land right there…
Who would we want for Centre back?
Bradley… you asked about Merida and what would the signing mean for him.
It means competition for places! It means he will work harder and it means he will cherish any chance he gets!
COMPETITION FOR PLACES!
Oh dear… the excitement has got the better of me again…
If we feel this way… imagine how Cesc and the gang feel!
May 21, 2008 at 10:43
Rothen is 30 Bradley… he may as well be dead in Wengers eyes!
We looked at him a few years ago if my memory serves me correctly?
May 21, 2008 at 10:45
hleb could stay, put him on the right, samir on the left (or vice versa), since I presume Walcott will be going up front (well, into the striker rotation) for good sometime this coming season… presumably once nasri has settled in (until then he and walcott will probably alternate on the wings). Really not sure where Vela fits into the equation, wouldn’t be too upset if we sold him.
May 21, 2008 at 10:47
I remember J(ohnny) Rotten – there was sp[ecualtion at the last Euro’s he’d go somewhere big.
He must be getting on a bit by know, shurely ?
May 21, 2008 at 10:47
ah fuck it, I’m gonna sneak this one in on a day when gunners fans across the world are feeling optimistic about the future…
WENGER KNOWS!
May 21, 2008 at 10:48
All 3 are very good Odub… Ben Arfa and Nasri are 2 of the best dribblers in world football… plus i have a bit of admiration for making Anderson look a tit when Lyon played United in the CL this year.
here’s the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDklwNmwY9M
Also on a seperate note Flamini aint making any friends… the boy needs to learn to keep his mouth shut
http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=772797.html?cid=rssfeed&att=
May 21, 2008 at 10:51
*for BEN ARFA making Anderson look a tit
May 21, 2008 at 10:52
Make this a wonderful day please and show me footage on Skynews of Samri undergoing his medical! Not only because I would love to see that but also because I cannot stand watching another minute of Manu and Chelski fans walking around in Russia.
Anyhooo….GMR is really playing with my emotions….Samri + Ben Arfa and I might as well add in Veloso and I would wish Id go to sleep and wake up in Aug.
I do feel is Samri signs up, Hleb is off. Helb’s best mate has left the club, he’s already tried to do a Cashley and met with Inter which has pissed Arsene off. If we get a good fee for him, i wouldnt be too sad to see him go, although i would still prefer that he’d stayed and gave us more options. It would take a while for Samri to settle in…(i hope that isnt the case but its likley)
May 21, 2008 at 10:54
Bradley… if you would be happy to sell Vela you can’t have seen much of him… the boy will be one of the best players in the world one day… he is a special talent and has been Osasunas star player this year and won man of the match playing against Real Madrid.
He is 19 and already a key player in the Mexican senior squad. This boy will be a star for this club one day
May 21, 2008 at 10:55
Morning guys.
Abnet Arsenal, hope this helps
From Sky Sports…..
“Nasri’s signing is likely to be followed by the arrivals of Clement Chantome and Francis Coquelin.
Chantome was one of the few Paris Saint Germain players to come out of last season with any plaudits after a string of impressive displays in central midfield.
The 22-year-old has been likened to Mathieu Flamini and Wenger is reported to have met with the French Under 21 international in the last week.
Coquelin – who is with third division Laval, has been on trial with Arsenal and although he picked up an injury during training – the 17-year-old seems to have done enough to earn a deal.
It is believed Coquelin is currently in London undergoing a medical ahead of a deal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have also handed a trial to Ghanaian starlet Tawrick Jibril.
The 16-year-old is currently with Hearts of Oak and has been linked with Atletico Madrid”
May 21, 2008 at 10:57
goonerjay this would be the same anderson that manure scum think is better than Cesc?!!! the boy Ben afra’s got skills by the looks it, needs to work on his shooting though, but hey AT LEAST HE SHOOTS!!
May 21, 2008 at 10:58
anyone got a clip of Chantome or Coquelin? Seems like Wenger has done it again, 2players weve never heard of.
Hey Pedro, wanna add them two to the rumour list?
May 21, 2008 at 10:58
t-buzz – ive seen the same article on football365 and fox news as well. Looks credible but it also says Ben Arfa plays for PSG! lol….
Im excited regardless…..anyone know more about Chantome? Wikipedia gives little…
May 21, 2008 at 11:00
Yeah urbaz, any sort of news on transfer is good news considering how quiet its been these past few days. lol
May 21, 2008 at 11:00
guys im still on with my idea of us getting Ronaldinho and Henry…
wouldnt that be great plus this Nasra Guy.
Am so happy that Flamini will not be playing in the champions league.
Cheers!!
May 21, 2008 at 11:01
Bradley are you kidding? Vela is rated one of the most exciting young talents in world football, or sumfing
May 21, 2008 at 11:04
Chantome should sign for Sunderland… and link up with Chopra
May 21, 2008 at 11:04
Wenger seems to be very keen to inject a bit of French back into the gooners!
Thats where we have gone wrong over the last few years…!
May 21, 2008 at 11:09
Pedro is right….Wenger has gone back to basics. A proven formula for success.
I feel this summer will be something very special!
May 21, 2008 at 11:12
does anyone think, like me, that Bendtner will get a lot more starts next year, but not as a centre-forward
May 21, 2008 at 11:12
Well we all know that Domenech hates Arsenal (well he certainly hates Wenger anyway), so you know 100% that he won’t do anything to help us out. My point being that Nasri has to join up with France tonight so if nothing happens before then its pretty guranteed that its either all a hoax or won’t happen until after the Euro’s.
There is no chance that Domenech would allow a player to leave the training camp to fly to London for a medical, so its either today or nothing. I’d say the same applies to Ben Arfa, he will have to join up with France on sunday after the cup final so again Arsenal have very little time if they are interested!!
May 21, 2008 at 11:14
G’Day all,
maybe hleb will stay because AW told him to hang 5, don’t make any rash decisions like Flamini, & he will show him how serious he is about winning the Premiership & CL next year by signing heaps of depth. Lets face it, it was depth that got manure over the line.
Of course hleb still might want to leave, but if hleb was that determined to go, he would have gone by now?
May 21, 2008 at 11:14
BTW I do like Vela, and he had an amazing game against Real Madrid and he’s fantastic on the ball. His final delivery leaves a lot to be desired. His link up play and movement off the ball is exceptional.
Is it just me of does he look like Walcott?
May 21, 2008 at 11:15
the only reason I have an issue with us signing too many french players is because of that dumbass domenech! hope he gets the sack after the euros.
May 21, 2008 at 11:18
domenach reminds me of Noel Gallagher.
May 21, 2008 at 11:19
timao.. yes he is going to be our new centre back…
lol.. where else will he play…
May 21, 2008 at 11:19
Domanech reminds me of Alex Ferguson… a cunt
May 21, 2008 at 11:20
…in the hole! behind two strikers
May 21, 2008 at 11:21
goonerjay, true! true!
May 21, 2008 at 11:22
Has everyone forgot that we will have a FIXED Rosicky next year now they have finally found what caused all his problems and operated on it……… he is more influential than Hleb anyway and would be a definite starter in any team for me !
Also, can someone please relight the David Villa rumour please………. apart from being a great player with a better scoring record for Spain than Torres, he is also Cesc’s buddy, so would keep our little maestro happy !
May 21, 2008 at 11:24
Nasri in….nice. Might as well have Ben Arfa, then bring in some money with Hleb going to chew some grass in a field away from the city somewhere (Madrid!?)
In an ideal dreamland…signing 2 wingers and losing Hleb should mean we can boot out Eboue. Try and get atleast a mars bar for him.
That leaves a Flamini replacement like Veloso or Makoun, with Diaby as back up – Gilberto, thanks for everything, but go home.
That leaves the CB position. Quite frustratingly Wenger has been jizzing in his pants about Song, though Song has been performing well I still think he’s a bit short and is not the finished article we need. I would bring in Kompany, Albiol or even Cueller, but it seems Wenger has some sort of secret love thing going on with Senderos, so that’s probably not going to happen.
With all this spending going on above (yeah right), this would not leave enough money to replace Almunia with Frey, or sign Diego. Maybe we could swap the Hoyte Brothers for them?
…End of dream.
May 21, 2008 at 11:26
Bud..how do you know that Rosicky will be fixed???????????????
May 21, 2008 at 11:27
I say keep Gilberto. Was our best player for the last 4 or 5 games oif the season…… he was shit last year as he did not have a pre-season….. don’t underestimate how that screws with a players performances over a season……… tis a scientific fact !
You wait, with a full pre-season under his belt this year, we will have our player of the season (2006/2007) back to his best !
May 21, 2008 at 11:28
Hleb should be offered a new contract, if he signs we keep him if not and he stays one more year that only leaves him a year left on his present deal and his value would plummit plus his wage bill.
May 21, 2008 at 11:29
BB – Do you not read the news???
It was everywhere that after a year of thinking nothing major was wrong, they found the problem was with the cartilage/tendon’s/muscles (can’t remember which one) wjere they join with the knee. They have reinforced this area with 2 titanium screws and are 100% confident it was cure the problems he has had !
May 21, 2008 at 11:30
walcott will be a winger for another year as well… so we could end up with
rosicky, walcott, nasri and ben arfa, to pick from… not too shabby!!
diaby has to be back in CM next year otherwise we should sell cos hes never gonna be a top class winger
May 21, 2008 at 11:30
Bud, Bert wants to play for Brazil in the olympics, no pre season again.
May 21, 2008 at 11:34
Just changing the subject slightly. When London hosts the 2012 Olympics, will England be the football team, or will a composite team be picked known as Great Britain? Anyone know?
May 21, 2008 at 11:34
brazil have called up both him and denilson in their provisional squad add to that the african lads going back home for the qualifiers, i make it only our english players not playing for ther country this summer…..
so that will be Theo playing all 11 positions for 4 games next season!!
May 21, 2008 at 11:35
PEOPLE! SMALL QUESTION WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TOPIC, HAVE ANY OF YOU SEEN THE NEW ARSENAL KIT? AND IS IT OFFICIAL?
May 21, 2008 at 11:37
BB… Bud has a very reliable contact within the Arsenal camp!
The Arsenal kit is not official… Look at the Euro 2008 kits if you want a clue regarding our new kit!
May 21, 2008 at 11:37
The away kit (88-89) replica one was the prize on the Fabregas show but I don’t think it was shown.
May 21, 2008 at 11:41
the SFA are dead set against a GB football team because they fear it would not represent Scotland – hence we never have any teams in the Olympics
May 21, 2008 at 11:43
Did you know we were playing in that replica 89 kit against Liverpool this year?
20th Anniversary!
May 21, 2008 at 11:45
Timao, Thats crazy, we use it as a stepping stone for our under 23’s, who incidently are coming along quite nicely.
May 21, 2008 at 11:46
Morning all – i said on yesterdays blog this morning, good old Arsene, waits until he knows we will all be a bit gloomy as we know we should be in Moscow tonight, he cheers us up by making a signing or maybe two –
shame old cashley seems fit to play tonight, thought Mak had done him good and proper…
will we be watching, and who to win then?
i have mentioned before, a friend of ours, a manure fan, took his own life a few months ago, he was a good guy so for him our family are cheering old red nose team… dont want cashley to do anything other than lose…..
May 21, 2008 at 11:48
can you imagine the arguments though trying to get a representative side for the home nations, without bias or favouritism?
May 21, 2008 at 11:49
Easy solution. 5 players from each nation in a 20 man squad !
May 21, 2008 at 11:51
and the manager comes from Switzerland?
May 21, 2008 at 11:52
well said Ric – hope you’re right though. I hate getting all excited by these rumours! I’m going out now and when I come back I want to See Nasri shaking Wenger’s hand and wearing an Arsenal shirt – or that’s it!
May 21, 2008 at 11:54
The Nasri news is convincing, if he can play on both wings as reports have stated he’s exactly what I was hoping for, a versatile winger, perfect.
Senderos is staying. Our best game of the season was 2-0 at the San Siro, Phil had a great game, Wenger is the one to take him (back) to that level, he’s worth far more than 5 million. Pre-Liverpool he had some great PL performances and the fans are on his back because of Liverpool. We need to get over that and move on, so does Senderos.
So who’s the centre back going to be, and the Ben Arfa link is getting colder, it looks like we’re near the finishing line for the first signing and Nasri is about 3 lengths ahead with Arfa losing pace.
Hopefully we’ll get someone younger than a Barcelona spent player. Lillian Thuram won’t be getting another contract from Barca, at 36 why should we sign him, we could have had Sol Campbell
That’s what Wenger needs and I’ve said this before, we’ve missed something in defence ever since Sol left. Kolo Toure looks a banker to continue as first choice centre back, so who could play alongside him? I’d splash out if I was Wenger and get Lescott, he’s gonna be a champions league player, top top quality, and we’ll never have a chance of getting him once he’s off at a top 4 club or in Italy. 20m? Buy him Wenger, we can sell him to Barca for 15 when he’s old, the lad is quality, ready made, scores goals and is exactly what we need. Go on Wenger get us a Merc player. Only 25, could be good for another 5-7 years for us. Unlike Thuram, Lescott won’t be available next year and there could be no one as good as him for a while. Can anyone remember a defender as good as Lescott playing outside the top 4? Rare stuff, Lescott could be our Ferdinand.
Give RVP a chance, he’ll be back ready for us, so will Rosicky.
May 21, 2008 at 11:56
Rico, sorry to hear about your mate, fine mancs it is! I’ve come round to the thinking that I’d rather them than the chavs anyway!
Bud where the hell would wales find 5 players to play in a GB team?!
May 21, 2008 at 12:03
Based on the fact that would anyone really give a shit…… who cares !!!!!
Now can someone PLEASE start the David Villa badwagon rolling agin ?!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 12:03
Cheers Odub –
Wikeepeeedea have written that we have agreed 15m euro for nasri and he is expected to sign later today and this should be confirmed…. i have a sneaky feeling AFC will announce two signings though, rather than the one, hence it taking sooooooo long…
anyone get to see old red noses i/v yesterday, he made me chuckle……
May 21, 2008 at 12:05
next season is the make or break for many players and the manager himself!!
May 21, 2008 at 12:06
another funny one – sidwell is off to Villa for 5m in next 24-48hrs, just think, he could have helped Reading stay in the EPL rather than wearing his shorts out…on the subs bench, or sometimes just sat watching at home….. what a pratt he was
May 21, 2008 at 12:08
but rico… now he can retire easily… having been on chelsea’s payroll!!
May 21, 2008 at 12:10
Choy – but surely he only went to the russian camp to play football, he must be so so upset….!!!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 12:11
Finestcuts, why is Kolo Toure a banker to stay first choice CB?? I couldn’t even begin to agree with that statement.
If Kolo was such an automatic choice at CB Wenger would have dropped Gallas to other positions at the end of last season, instead he choose to move Toure around, that tells its own story.
When Gallas arrived in England Ranieri played him as a right back, it was only later on that he was moved to CB & LB at Chelski, so Wenger preferring to keep Gallas at CB when he needed a RB seems to suggest he sees Gallas as first choice. Toure has been suspect all season, his performances have been poor a lot of the time & he was woeful in the ACN. It might just be a one off bad season so to speak but I wouldn’t bank on it.
May 21, 2008 at 12:12
l’equipe translation:
L’ information; Equip: Samir Nasri will play Arsenal the next season. The young trained leader with l’ OM could even sign its contract in favour them Gunners before finding l’ equip with France with Clairefontaine, this Wednesday with 19:30, the time when will begin the gathering from Blue preceding l’ Euro. The two clubs, Marseilles and Arsenal, would have put d’ agreement on an allowance of transfer of 15 d’ million; euros, reveals L’ Equip. Nasri, whose season was marked by several physical pips, in particular a viral meningitis, had prolonged its contract jusqu’ in 2012 with l’ subjacent idea to allow its formative club d’ empocher a beautiful allowance of transfer. It will have spent four seasons there, discovered the League of the champions, l’ equip with France, gained the title of better hope of L1 in 2007. At twenty years, the career of that which Real Madrid considered one year ago as new Zidane goes s’ to accelerate.
May 21, 2008 at 12:13
it was the lure of CL football that drove sidwell to join chelsea, he has enjoyed every minute of it, and is looking to make a massive impact in the final tonight…… insert punchline here……….
May 21, 2008 at 12:14
i think kolo went to RB cos hes more of an athlete and more pacey and attacking than gallas, they were solid before the shitty ACN
May 21, 2008 at 12:16
Fantastic news if it’s true, but don’t stop there Arsene, get Arfa, or a decent left winger and a center back and it’s all ours next season.
Nice edit Pedro and I liked the bit about brown grass, what happened to my bit on the crisps then?
I’m off to play No. 6 today guys!
May 21, 2008 at 12:18
nah… its mostly about the money these days rico…
how can you choose sidwell over makele lampard essien ballack???
May 21, 2008 at 12:18
Well the crisps bit was linked in to your headline which I had to change!
I couldn’t fit it all in…
How was Pinehurst?
May 21, 2008 at 12:22
the massive impact will be…..
he will be flying over the stadium in a hot air balloon to get the best view during the game – the balloon bursts and he drops on to the pitch, the already parting turfs cant take his ‘wait’ the stitching hold the grass pieces together gives way, and the turfs fly everywhere… the game abandoned!
headlines in the Sun..
Ginger minger makes massive impact on CL Final (no disrespect meant)
May 21, 2008 at 12:22
Fantastic but the greens were brutal! do you think Nasri will be it?
May 21, 2008 at 12:23
Good and Valid points GMR, I’m going on Wenger’s previous form where he declared Kolo Toure the rock of his defence.
http://www.carling.com/football/arsenal-fc/kolo-toure.html
He’s been in the squad since Sol Campbell days and has been good with us ever since then. What you’re saying is logical, but I think he just wanted to use an experienced player instead of Hoyte while Eboue played RW.
Gallas should be moved into the squad because he is as you state a total defender, can cover for any position. Also he was trying to bring Song in, and because Gallas is captain he was made automatic first choice. The armband needs to be taken away from Gallas so there is no disparity between kolo and Gallas, it must be given to our player of the season Cesc Fabregas. Stick Gallas on the bench and put someone in there next to Toure. If what you’re saying turns out to be right it would mean Wenger would dislodge on of his “pivotal” players who he once described as the rock of his defence. It would be an almighty shift in his defensive theory.
May 21, 2008 at 12:24
I think we will sign Nasri and as part of the deal, we let Marseille have a free run at Arfa.
I would dearly love to sign the two, but I can’t see it.
I also don’t believe Hleb is leaving…
May 21, 2008 at 12:24
Choy – i was jesting, its all about money, except those who come to us…..
May 21, 2008 at 12:26
Well if Hleb stays does that mean Nasri will play alongside Cesc?
May 21, 2008 at 12:27
Said before, Ben Arfa looks too much like Jenas, he wont come to us!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 12:27
I here you Rico, for the sake of your mate and the fact that I have a few”friends” that happen to be Chavs, I’ll be rooting for ManUre to nick it.Rather them than some wannabes!!
Sidwell’s a pratt, didnt want Reading to go down for the sake of their humble Manager.
Well Choy you have a point, he Can retire on chavskies payroll.lol
Rico, try not to rely on Wikipedia or transfer update cos 90% of the time the info is bullsh!te.
May 21, 2008 at 12:27
Hleb staying would be a bonus + 3 signings!
May 21, 2008 at 12:32
Winston Bogarde!!!! Now that was a player who sat on the bench for the money at chavski!!! didnt play a single game and got paid 40k a week for 4 years!! I could do that, for half the money!! lol
May 21, 2008 at 12:34
Eboue should play left back……in the sheds!
May 21, 2008 at 12:35
If Hleb stays it means we have Nasri to cover on either wing, it would make Wengers life so much easier.
We could go back to Hleb, Flamini-replacement (Gilberto/Diaby), Fabregas and Rosicky with Walcott and Nasri rotating. Gilberto can roate with Diaby. Fabregas in un-rateable, so are Sagna and Clichy, in other positions we can rotate, sorted.
May 21, 2008 at 12:36
Pedro, Marseille haven’t been in for Ben Arfa. Lyon’s president is on record as saying he wants to sell Ben Arfa to a French team so even if Marseille had to wait for the money from the sale of Nasri they would have at least contacted Lyon to state an interest.
Aulas has said only two English teams are in for Arfa & he states the most notable being Arsenal. We all know the spuds are the other one & we also know they aren’t notable so Aulas is very up to date!!
May 21, 2008 at 12:36
un-rateable = un-rotatable
May 21, 2008 at 12:38
Evo, many gooners have gone off the cnut since ice cream gate, and after his quotes re London being too noisy. I get the feeling he doesnt want to stay, so show him the door. if he stays good.
May 21, 2008 at 12:39
it would be great to wrap up a signing before friday night. we could all get rat arsed all weekend to celebrate….oh wait… i already to that!
May 21, 2008 at 12:39
i already DO that!
May 21, 2008 at 12:40
Nasri is everything bar a winger .. he plays in the middle..can play as a playmaker or behind the strikers
Bud.. I take your word on the Czech porn star .. I just hope that I dont need to remind you next season after 5 games and our little man already sidelined, that we over estimated his resistance… fingers crossed here
May 21, 2008 at 12:41
id rather hleb left now… hes said too bollox and done too much cratyness and so has his cunt of an agent…
no ones bigger than the arsenal
May 21, 2008 at 12:41
cratyness = craftyness
May 21, 2008 at 12:47
BB – I can only report the facts………. personally I like to look on the positive side of life, I leave the negative stuff to “Dave Angry”, so I am a believer, Rosicky is not going to miss a minute all season !!!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 12:49
i know what you mean tom!!
I’ve never believed in keeping players that have been caught meeting other clubs. a la cashley. that was just a messy affair that i hope we never get involved in again.
Easy solution. you get caught meeting another club, you get sold once we get a replacement, until then you play with the stiffs and shut the fuck up. works for me.
May 21, 2008 at 12:54
Christ bud that’s more than positive mate…
May 21, 2008 at 12:54
Hi All
good to read that we going to be signing a quality young player, with loads of potential, lets hope he lives upto the hype.
just one to throw in here, i’ve read on a couple of sites that the legend that is Pat Rice could be stepping down, his wife is i’ll. this leaves a big hole!
the replacement that is being touted is……… TONY ADAMS!!! could this be the defensive conection Wenger has been talking about?
don’t know if anyone else has heard this or if some one could delve a bit deeper to get any truths. could be interesting
May 21, 2008 at 12:55
fuck Hleb off out of it
May 21, 2008 at 12:55
first off, thanks for the cesc show, chris. we don’t get that kinda coverage for soccer in aus.
secondly, i’m not gonna challenge whoever said that ben afra isn’t as good as nasri. i just personally like how he plays more, and what i’ve seen of him, he looks a more complete player. lets sign them both though and then we’ll be able to make proper judgements =P
May 21, 2008 at 12:55
its amazing we went to milan to play 1 of the games of our lives and he was meeting up with another team to do deals, what is this world coming to?
May 21, 2008 at 12:55
http://www.footballshirtculture.com/200801181039/08/09-kits/new-arsenal-08/09-nike-home-away-shirts.html
I think this is our new kits for next season.
May 21, 2008 at 12:56
absolutley odub, and all this ‘im not going to buy out my contract’ he started saying like he was doing us a favour!!!
we carried that fucker for his first 2 seasons and now he wants out!! he can go but on our terms… its time to get tough
May 21, 2008 at 12:59
Not its not aquilani, it’s not Veloso, it’s Chentome of relegated PSG.
The more things change, the more they stay the same,
May 21, 2008 at 13:00
Ronaldo to Real…bad luck red nose!
May 21, 2008 at 13:01
Is Nasri even in this country yet?? Seen as all this info was released last night wouldn’t the media have had photographers (or at least independants) based at the airports to get the first picture!!
I have a feeling this is far from a done deal, I think l’equipe are having us on!!
May 21, 2008 at 13:02
Duncan, I wouldn’t worry about the Pat Rice rumour. There was no source to the story and nothing to suggest TA would replace – I wouldn’t waste too much time thinking about it.
I don’t like to comment on other sites, but I did find that story a bit distasteful. Transfer gossip is one thing, terminally ill relatives is another…
Mark those kits have been doing the rounds for a while! They look quite legit but there was a similar white copy last year which was way off…
May 21, 2008 at 13:05
Mark,
Proposed white kit:
Link
May 21, 2008 at 13:08
Thanks Pedro, thought it was just a site desperate for hits, but thought this is the best place to get some further info on truths like this. but would be nice to see TA back thou.
May 21, 2008 at 13:12
As much as I wish there was a way for both teams to lose tonight – its Utd for me aswell – based solely on the fact that I do not wanna hear the jumped up Chav fans singing to us “Have you won the Champions League. Have you fuck!” next season.
Hope the Nasri signing is a goer – although Wenger does like to do his work under the radar there are still transfers that have had similar exposure and still actually happened. Hleb and Walcott spring to mind has doing the rumour rounds for a couple of weeks before they actually happened.
May 21, 2008 at 13:14
no aquilanai
http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/08/05/21/manual_112702.html
May 21, 2008 at 13:17
No press conference announced which does not bode well !
In answer to what someone said about the Paps being on it and picturing him the airport….. they are all in Russia !!!
May 21, 2008 at 13:17
james you are most welcome for the cesc show
May 21, 2008 at 13:22
don’t put us on a downer Bud!!!
You was the epitome of optimism earlier
May 21, 2008 at 13:24
Bud, I wouldn’t read too much into the fact there is no press conference – we have been known to confirm signings before the player apears at the ground for the ritual picture taking with the shirt. Am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but if my memory serves me correctly Eduardo was announced before he eventually turned up at the Emirates for his pics.
May 21, 2008 at 13:32
So Nasri cant wear 22 as clichy wears that, so what number will they give him?
8, 12, 16, 18, 23?
May 21, 2008 at 13:34
Evo it could possibly be number 13
May 21, 2008 at 13:36
I’ve been refreshing newsnow every couple of minutes since 7am this morning. I’ve come to the conclusion that this rumour is bullshit.
La Provence (the Marseille regional paper) have links to the club & they broke the original Nasri to Arsenal rumour. They haven’t said a word about this story which L’equipe have printed, which strikes me as very strange. As La Provence get official stuff from Marseille, why is it that they know nothing about him moving to Arsenal today??
I hope I’m wrong but all the websites, blogs & newspapers are all printing the same l’equipe article with no official word or anything to back it up. This all stinks to me, but come this evening we’ll all know for definate because once he’s with the French national team he certainly won’t be leaving them for medicals!!
May 21, 2008 at 13:36
Interesting comment from Aulas about ben arfa. I presume he wants to keep his player in the limelight, and could be worried interest will drop if Arsenal sign Nasri.
May 21, 2008 at 13:36
Good afternoon ladies,
Well according to Tribal Football (ha ha ha) Robinho is currently in London for talks with Arsenal and/or Chavski……….
So, who’s it to be fellas, Ben Arfa or Robinho??
May 21, 2008 at 13:37
who cares what number – lets just bloody sign him – but 8 would be my choice, OR HLEBS!!
May 21, 2008 at 13:39
Blimey go away for a few days and it all kicks off, maybe I should go away more often.
I’m quite excited about Nasri (mind you i’d get excited over anyone signing at the min)
In all seriousness he looks a good signing.
Still all quiet on Ben Arfa then?
and any news on the PREM player?
May 21, 2008 at 13:40
the funniest rumour mill is always in the transfer window in january on BBC 606 chat…some of the stories made up on there are crackers!
eg. i just saw Ronaldinho in a kebab shop in manchester, etc
May 21, 2008 at 13:40
DDM – this could be good news, if only we could trust the site, RM want Ice cream Hleb, maybe a swap plus cash and we get Robinho – i know he has said he wants to stay in madrid, but could just be a decoy…..
good time for deals today with the paps all in Mustcow
May 21, 2008 at 13:41
Evo – he must be hungry and needs something to get his teeth into!
May 21, 2008 at 13:41
no news on prem player, that has quieted down.
by the way, ive never heard of Clement Chantome and Francis Coquelin, where did these rumours begin?
May 21, 2008 at 13:42
yeah big teeth for a big kebab
May 21, 2008 at 13:46
Who wants to bet that come August we still haven’t signed anyone and that all the best players of the Euro’s are being signed up all round Europe……..
….. Then we get an announcement that we have signed a 12 year old from Telford FC who is a good prospect……
no takers ?
May 21, 2008 at 13:47
Evo – Young Guns i believe. pretty reliable
May 21, 2008 at 13:50
ok good stuff then!
im out until tomorrow lads…gotta get up early to watch 2 shite teams kick the crap out of each other!
May 21, 2008 at 13:52
Pedro,
Just got back for lunch, what do you mean if the kits are ligit? Why would somebody release false pictures? Please inform? Ta
May 21, 2008 at 13:54
just a thought about robinho being in london, all the cavs are in moscow so unless their kit man is mulling over the deal, AND IF he is in London, then it can only to be to talk with us or Scum – oh or West Ham etc etc…..
He has also said he would prefer not to go to spurs
Just maybe guys…………..
May 21, 2008 at 13:55
Because they have before…. simple !
May 21, 2008 at 13:55
right, that’s it!
May 21, 2008 at 13:56
that daily mail story about the kit is full of crap isn’t it? saying we haven’t played in white in living memory. what colour was the away kit this season then?
May 21, 2008 at 14:00
rico01 – much that i’d love to believe it, and on the face of it, it’s quite plausible that Robinho is in London, but for the fact that it’s Tribal Football reporting it, and they are the biggest pile of poo on the net with the exception of the Inland Revenue website………
May 21, 2008 at 14:07
MarkB, I doubt the kits are legit…
The dailymail pic was the one they predicted last year… it looks quite similar to this years predictions…
It does annoy me that it takes so long to announce our new strips!
May 21, 2008 at 14:07
If the Robinho story was true what a statement of intent to the rest of the Premiership and europe (prob go to Spurs now).
Do you know anyone who went to the cesc show the other night and got the new kit some from other blogs did I think.
May 21, 2008 at 14:13
Been down the boozer, slightly worse for wear! any news yet?!!
Why is Robinho repeated in all your recent comments, is he signing?
May 21, 2008 at 14:15
we are the slowest club!!!
slow signings.. slow kits..slow contract extensions…!!!
we need some urgency…
ahhhh… this is killing me!!!
May 21, 2008 at 14:16
that daily mail kit article is dated 2007!!!
May 21, 2008 at 14:19
This is slightly off topic but if you are bored, depressed or anxious about today anouncement RE Nasri then watch this ………
Link
…….. a delight to watch!
May 21, 2008 at 14:20
ok choy’s answered my questions….nothing’s happened.
May 21, 2008 at 14:22
Shock!! – I don’t wanna worry you boys, but all the French lads i work with over here don’t really rate either Nasri or Ben Arfa! They say that Nasri is basically a poor man’s Cesc, but 3 or 4 years behind him and Ben Arfa isn’t good enough to play for The Arse, but should go somewhere like Pompey……….oooooerrrrrr!!
May 21, 2008 at 14:23
odub… real m want hleb… i think we should do a cash plus swap with robinho….
people here like that idea!! and am all for it
May 21, 2008 at 14:23
Abdenor… like the picture mate
May 21, 2008 at 14:23
Odub – Robinho was reported (by Tribal Football) as being in London today for talks with either Arsenal or Chavski……….
May 21, 2008 at 14:25
Choy i think we should put you forward for Arsenals Director of Football because that is a bloody good idea my old bean
May 21, 2008 at 14:26
Why doesn’t Flamini shut his fcuk’ing mouth and move on… We all know he left for money and he needs to stop trying to justify otherwise!!
May 21, 2008 at 14:28
Here here DC… the moley twat should take a leaf from Hlebs book and stick an ice cream in it or hang himself
May 21, 2008 at 14:31
abdenor, great pic, and that video has made ny day! I’ll be watching that again a few times today I tell ya! Cheers mate!
Choy good call, do a swap and try and sneak Eboue in to the deal as well. In fact any business we do over the summer should be done on the basis that anyone who wants any of our players can have him as long as they take Eboue as well!
May 21, 2008 at 14:31
And what’s with Flamini moaning about English Papperazi always taking pictures of footballers new girlfriends? the ugly twat never had a girlfriend did he? if he did it weren’t in the papers so what the fuck is he going on about?
May 21, 2008 at 14:32
goonerjay – what about my job, proposed this a 1.40pm,
Choy – you want to share the pay cheque??????????
May 21, 2008 at 14:33
Remember Flamstir in his trainers at a posh do, mme, bet the pap love photographing him….Not
May 21, 2008 at 14:34
well dennis.. since chavski and their fans are in russia.. having some vodka…
and casilllas had this to say against spurs “i play football, not basketball”
west ham .. no way.. that only leaves us!!
May 21, 2008 at 14:35
sorry Rico didn’t see that mate… you guys wouldn’t be given a job at Arsenal anyway… you’re both too sensible and would want what’s best for the fans which wouldn’t be of interest to the board
May 21, 2008 at 14:38
sure rico!!! we could buy peroni here for everyone!!
still don’t know how it tastes though!
May 21, 2008 at 14:38
nice one gj, why is it we can all see the logic around these transfers and players and the club doesnt sometimes – anyway, i must stop moaning
well if sky sports have it right (but they are shite) by the time the day is out we will have signed three, all having their medicals as we speak – poor ool GL must be busy and Perfect Pat….
Fingers crossed eh
May 21, 2008 at 14:40
i quite like it, crisp and dry – no not the oil called spry……
becks vier for me tho – and if in a mad moment has to be budvar
May 21, 2008 at 14:41
is there like a Flamoney interview that they keep cutting snipets from everyday or is he actually making a new statement everyday?!! He’s now suggesting AC buy Ade and Drogba if they become available!!
Eh I dont think either would want to drop to uefa cup football do you?!!
May 21, 2008 at 14:43
odub – i saw that, what a twat, must be the same i/v as he doesnt like the press……
ade out – villa in, dreamin now
May 21, 2008 at 14:44
hes talking a lot.. the wanker…
people suddenly become great orators once they leave arsenal!!
May 21, 2008 at 14:50
“…Chelsea will be desperate to win to show a further return on the hundreds of millions of pounds invested in the club by their billionaire Russian owner Roman Abramovich, by lifting the European Cup for the first time…”
hahahahahahahaha, Abramovich is a fucken loooser…
at the same time im also wishing Manure united looses..
why aint Arsenal playing? it hurts me sooooo much, its all because of one person, SENDEROS….
http://www.latest-arsenal.blogspot.com
May 21, 2008 at 14:53
And they wonder why people say sportingo is shit…. this is the biggest load of drivel i have ever seen.
http://www.sportingo.com/Football/a8767_Why-Manchester-Uniteds-boss-has-psychological-edge-over-his-Arsenal-Liverpool-counterparts
May 21, 2008 at 14:57
Choy, that reminds me, I had some draught Peroni at an Italian restaurant monday night near Kings Cross.
I’d forgotten just how great it tasted. Ambrosa from the Gods.
May 21, 2008 at 15:11
Barcelona, Inter, Real Madrid all after Hleb.
Are any of these clubs interested in Nasri? Nope.
If we lose Hleb this summer, we will need more than Nasri to make me think we will do anything next season.
May 21, 2008 at 15:17
whats the bet that our signings are announced during the cocoa cup final tonight…. steal the lime light away from the little footie match
May 21, 2008 at 15:22
worth a read
http://www.arsenal.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=506650
May 21, 2008 at 15:27
You know, i got this nagging feeling that just won’t go away – that both Nasri and Ben Arfa are not really big signings, not in the same way that a Robinho or a Villa are. Now don’t get me wrong, they would both probably prosper in our team, until they wanted to double their wages in a couple of years time, only to be told ‘we’ve got a strict wage structure’ and then we’d watch them piss off to Real Madrid or AC Milan or whoever……
I just hope we’re not getting swept up in the ‘they’d be great signings’ coz we’ve been starved for so long of genuine big signings that would make a marked difference to the team and get everyone buzzing again.
May 21, 2008 at 15:29
a “big” signing would be kaka… dennis…
till then… we have to be happy that wenger is breaking the bank.. at least according to his standards.
May 21, 2008 at 15:35
Choy – I know mate, sad though isn’t it. I remember when DB10 signed, and when SC23, christ even Marc Overmars got me running down to the pub………..i’m just worried that he’s now spending money on young ‘unproven’ players………good that they might be……….the might being the worrying word again………time for another bottle o’ Cloudy Bay i think.
May 21, 2008 at 15:37
Nasri only 21. Our average age is going down more and more. Especially if he replaces 27 year old Hleb.
That gives us a lovely excuse next season. Even this Chemont bloke is only 22.
May 21, 2008 at 15:39
Not just SENDEROS. Phil didnt have a great game against Pool, but Kolo was directly responsible for 2 goals in the tie as well. I thought Hyypia had a lot to do to put his header away, he really threaded the needle, and Torres’s turn and finish were class. Phil doesnt have 8 years experience to draw upon either, unlike Kolo, who made 2 rookie mistakes.
Senderos is an easy target. At least he absolutely gives a shit and wants to stay and play. Our defence tightened up dramatically when Kolo left for the ANC and Phil came in, and went down the toilet when he came back and Wenger dropped Phil. Our worst defender last year was without doubt Kolo Toure. Kolo’s a lovely bloke, but he wouldnt get into chelsea or utd’s teams.
May 21, 2008 at 15:42
Harsh, but fair Gidster……….
May 21, 2008 at 15:44
DennisDaMenace.
Agree totally with your sentiments. I am pleased that there is promise of imminent transfer activity and Nasri could turn out to be a great player. Frankly I know very little about him so cannot say. Fingers crossed.
I still maintain that the place needs a “big” signing to get us all excited again and really looking forward to the new season and seeing them play. Someone like Villa fits the bill.
However I think our summer shopping will at Morrison’s rather than Marks & Spencer.
May 21, 2008 at 15:47
Why do people keep banging on about how well Senderos played against Milan!!!
FFS they were/are an aging team, they created absolutely sod all over 180 minutes and we should have scored more than the 2 goals we scored over the 2 games!!!
Who did he mark?!! Pato? Didnt see him, Inzaghi? 50 years old, Gilardion? Who?!!
I was at the home game and they brought on Emerson who looked about 10 stone over weight!!! Yeah that’s how good they were!!
Love the boy to bits for his efforts and stuff but to say he’s woth keeping based on a performance against a team that just finished 5th in a league that’s just slightly better than the coca cola championship is bollox!!
That felt good, my first rant in a month!!!
May 21, 2008 at 15:48
By Jingo, well said Odub, keep up the good work fella……..
May 21, 2008 at 15:50
Gallas was the real star versus Milan. Sensational in that second leg.
May 21, 2008 at 15:51
Get if off your chest Odub!
Senderos tries and you cannot fault his attitude but bottom line is he is not quite good enough for the top level. In the big games at the highest level he will be found wanting.
The problem I have is I think most of our centre backs fall into the same bracket. They are all good players but are any of them great players?
May 21, 2008 at 15:52
fucking hell Odub… don’t mince your words fella
May 21, 2008 at 15:52
James73 – It’s just sad that a club of our so-called standing is crying out for ONE big name signing, very sad indeed, we should be buying the best all the time. And, i know that a price tag doesn’t necessarily equate to a good signing, but surely we should be showing our intent, and re-assuring players like Cesc that this club has ambition and is striving to be the best in the world both on the field as well as off………
May 21, 2008 at 15:56
Best forum for letting it out me thinks!!
Anyway, my favourite memory of those ties will always be the manic look on Cesc’s face after his goal!! Loved it!!
As well as Theo’s run for Ade’s goal.
May 21, 2008 at 15:57
Well said Gidster,
people are all too easily forgetting the good performances he put in before those 2 lapses against th e’Poo. Both of those goals he was blamed for could have been stopped by others also – I blame the zonal marking fetish at London Colney.
We should do man to man marking at set pieces – it’s not calculus is it ?
Also, Gidster is right – Senderos wants to do well at Arsenal – we should be applauding that spirit.
May 21, 2008 at 15:58
Well, we kept AC Milan down to zero goals for 3 hours. Thats pretty good. Kaka plays for Milan, he’s a bit tasty. But it was more the league games when Kolo wasnt around that convinced me Phil was up to the job. Centre Back pairings are all about effective partnerships, and Phil + Kolo/Willy seems better to me than Willy + Kolo.
This is not to say that we cant sign someone who would improve on Phil. Or that we dont need to.
What I will say is that Centre Back is the hardest job to learn. You are invariably up against the oppositions best player, and mistakes cost goals. Theo is gonna be a great player, but he spent the 1st half and more of last season making bad final balls and poor decisions. Those mistakes didnt mean we let a goal in, but there were more good chances wasted from Theo than there were mistakes from Phil last year.
May 21, 2008 at 15:59
New Signing!! Not the one we’re after though, and look how much he cost!!
http://sport.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Football/2008/05/21/Prem-Coquelin-transferred-to-Arsenal/
May 21, 2008 at 16:01
Agreed Dennis. We want to see some ambtion from the club. Of course there is always a risk that a big signing won’t work out but at least we could see that the club were trying. And you can’t fault them if they try.
Thinking back to when we signed DB10 I nearly fell off my chair! That is the moment I am waiting for this summer, when you hear the news about a transfer that really surprises and excites you.
May 21, 2008 at 16:10
ADBENOR – I had to stop watching your clip……… FUCK ME DO I WANT HENRY BACK SO MUCH AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS OF THAT !!!!!!
Please God, deliver me Henry at a press confernece at 5pm today PLEASE !!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 16:13
SIGN SOMEBODY ALREADY!!!! SIGN SCOOBY-DOO, AT LEAST HE CAN RUN AROUND AND NOT GET CAUGHT.
This waiting is driving me crazy!!
May 21, 2008 at 16:14
James73 – Yep, they were heqady days indeed, i remember me and my chum’s all used to have season tickets in the upper east (zzzzzz) and decided to give ‘em up and just phone the box office for tickets. We got we and truly fed up with that after just one season, so we all bowled down to the club and picked out our seats for our new season tickets in the Clock End……………..and fuck me DB10 signed 6 or 7 days later!
May 21, 2008 at 16:16
Well, doesnt look like anything’s going to happen AGAIN!!
So I’m calling it a day, in fact I’m on strike until we sign someone! Let’s see how they like that!
May 21, 2008 at 16:17
Odub, top shout earlier regarding big Phil.
May I also point out another player who gets the same treatment from some fans… Eboue.
Apparently he is an excellent crosser of the ball, based on one cross to Thierry a couple of seasons ago!
Madness!
May 21, 2008 at 16:18
Yesterday’s bogus shop Aquilani can be crossed off lists. Ben Arfa speculation is getting colder. Nasri and Francis Coquelin from FC Laval are reported to be done deals. So far 2 transfers according to media reports and no news of a centre back.
May 21, 2008 at 16:18
Just watched some of that clip Bud refers to. Brings back some happy memories!
Bud I will second your call for Henry to come back at 5pm today!! TH14 still has so much to offer.
May 21, 2008 at 16:23
Where’s the signings!!! the day started with such hope, now it seams we have to pin our hopes on a 17 yr old french kid from the second devision.
May 21, 2008 at 16:25
Great video, brought back many a memory. No wonder Freddie can’t score at west ham, he doesn’t any of this service. On the Sweden kick you think they can do anything with the trio back? Larsson is pure class even though old and Zlatan is as dangerous as ever.
May 21, 2008 at 16:25
MM – Sorry mate, but prepare yourself for more days like these until the 31st August……
May 21, 2008 at 16:26
MM…. 3rd division mate
May 21, 2008 at 16:29
i have to agree with charybdis….
we all slate hleb for wanting to leave and when senderos says he wants to stay we all say its a shame! the young players can learn allot from his attitude and dedication to the club, the kids will see somone who might not play much and gets allot of stick but still wants to play for the club… hes nowhere near perfect or world class but id rather have a team of snederos’s than sneaky little hlebs
May 21, 2008 at 16:30
Call me odd, but I remember getting excited about Suker signing.
He wasn’t so bad, but I get the impression most Goons tend to think he was no good.
I’d still like Dunne to sign for us – a no nonsense CB with Premier League experience.
May 21, 2008 at 16:31
Can’t do all summer watching the euros and players we could have signed!
More bad news for me joined the season ticket waiting list 4 yrs ago after leaving the army, yet i’m still 10,000 on the list!
May 21, 2008 at 16:31
quite agree Arsenal Tom….Hleb the pleb with the penis head can naf off now… he’ll only get booed next season even if he does stay
May 21, 2008 at 16:32
No No No to Dunne……….. he is fat and useles……. I think that sums him up !!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 16:33
3 s’s in useless….. doh !
May 21, 2008 at 16:35
I have to agree with Bud about Dunne. Senderos is a better player than he is.
May 21, 2008 at 16:35
Mind you Bud….i’d still rather have Dunne than Krancjar
May 21, 2008 at 16:38
Nasri’s agent says it is far from a done deal! Other offers to consider.
Fuck.
May 21, 2008 at 16:39
Why have neither………. I’ve never believed in the principle of 2 fat ugly birds in a club, you gotta shag one of them…….. i’d rather refer to the wank-bank and dream of someone special !!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 16:39
Just heard a report from Nasri’s agent on sky sports news saying Arsenal have made an offer but that they are in no rush and there are other clubs intrested.
May 21, 2008 at 16:40
Where you read that Paulinho?
May 21, 2008 at 16:40
Well if Dunne is duff, which prenier league defender can we get (and please don’t say Micah Richards – he’s too similar to Toure/Gallas and has a questionable attitude also) ?
Hmm, how old is Stam….
May 21, 2008 at 16:42
MM – No doubt Nasri will be offered £60k a week by some other outfit while we try to tempt him with £3.50, a Luncheon Voucher and a free football kit…….
May 21, 2008 at 16:42
o dear lord!
May 21, 2008 at 16:42
Heard it on SSN. I thought it was all too quiet on the western front for the unveiling to happen.
My guess is a Barca or Madrid have come in to wreck the party. Wait for Wenger to strike then strike themselves.
May 21, 2008 at 16:45
Who needs a scouting system, when all you have to do is wait to see who Arsenal are after, and outbid them, easy.
May 21, 2008 at 16:46
so Nasri isn’t a done deal… fucking cosmic…. so then it appears that we still haven’t got a clue which transfer Friar was finalising. Please don’t say it was for that 17 year old french kid
May 21, 2008 at 16:46
Oh well, back to wankbank and those dirty thoughts of great players signing for the Arsenal !!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 16:48
Bud you could be there for some time mate
May 21, 2008 at 16:48
Guess thats why we don’t normally hear about signings before there on the dotted line. still maybe
was just a buff from le boss, and matty’s move will make way for Kaka surly he wants to play CL next season.
May 21, 2008 at 16:50
That news does not bode well. The waiting games goes on.
However our signings normally just happen out of the blue, without any build up in the media. I cling to the hope it will be true again this summer.
May 21, 2008 at 16:53
what if nasri was a decoy.. for someone else??hmmm….
May 21, 2008 at 16:55
Yes, the decoy was for the 17 year old……..
May 21, 2008 at 16:55
well, that’s a bit of a blow. Just when I thought AW had been clever and signed someone before the Euro’s . Maybe he has …. he said 3 weeks, and perhaps Nasri agent (who is probably a dick of the first order), is just trying to get a few more shekkels out of AFC.
May 21, 2008 at 16:56
They are saying the winning of the champion league is worth 85 million squid, if the ref had of gave the Hleb penalty, if Senderos had of got that header, If ade had of scored and not hit the bar.
It’s a fine line but if we invest big for the rich pickings it’s got to be worth a gamble.
Pretty please Arsene.
May 21, 2008 at 16:57
lol.. dennis….that 17yr old was on free anyway.. think out of the box
May 21, 2008 at 16:57
Double double decoy. Ben Arfa, Nasri, Cocqulen!
Wenger is a genius!
May 21, 2008 at 16:57
Groan, agents….the bane of supporters’ existence.
We’d all be a lot better off without them.
Lee Dixon never had an agent – a true Arsenal Leg-end.
May 21, 2008 at 16:58
Choy – I’ve just sunk into the pipt of despair, courtesy of two and half bottles of Cloudy Bay and yet another AFC transfer no-show…………..c’mon u gunners.
May 21, 2008 at 17:00
I’m trying hard to decide whether we’re in the foreplay stage of signings or the anti-climax.
May 21, 2008 at 17:01
hmmm… dennis… someone mentioned robinho was in town!
May 21, 2008 at 17:04
Choy my man, yes indeedoodie, if you believe Tribal Football that is……..
May 21, 2008 at 17:04
Personally I am totally pessimistic and expect no major signings. My thinking being that I won’t be disappointed if we sign no one or nobody’s and conversely I will be very pleasantly surprised if we do make decent signings.
It’s one way to get through the summer!
May 21, 2008 at 17:07
If Wenger brings back the great man Thiery Henry, it will send a signal out to all the little Frenchies that Arsenal is the club to be, instead of them seeing us as a nice club that pays shit wages !!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 17:07
yeah that was tribal Choy… they talk more shit than George Bush and the manager at the water board who deals with sewers put together.
I was beginnning to get a bit optimistic about this summer but i have just slumped big time… that’s one of the 3 weeks gone now with still no real idea as to who Friar was talking about… god i hope the Ben Arfa deal is done and that’s why it’s gone so quiet
May 21, 2008 at 17:08
James73 – agreed, in fact i intend to spend the whole of the summer in the bottom of a glass without the help of Sky Sport News, all tabloid redtops, NewsNow and all other pike news (rumour) sites…………i shall be indulging in Le Grove and Beer……..
May 21, 2008 at 17:09
as of now we should ignore all agents comments.. all they do is dick on us anyway!!!
its either our player leaving or somone else’s player not coming… fuck em!!!
May 21, 2008 at 17:11
Tom i think Wenger and the press can be as much to blame for that as the agents mate
May 21, 2008 at 17:12
ACTUALLY, FUCK THE LITTLE CUNT……….. NASRI CAN FUCK OFF, I DON’T WANT THE UNGRATEFUL LITTLE WANKER ANYWHERE NEAR THE EMIRATES NEXT SEASON AND IF HE DOES EVENTUALLY SIGN, I WILL BOO THE UNGRATEFUL LITTLE COCK-BANDIT………. WHO THE FUCK DOES HE THINK HE IS…. ARSENAL HAVE JUST OFFERED TO SIGN HIM AND HE WANTS TO CONSIDER OTHER OPTIONS FIRST……….. FUCK YOU NASRI, FUCK OFF TO WHITE HART LANE FOR AN EXTRA 30 BOB YOU SNIVELLING LITTLE CUNT-BUCKET !!!!!!
GOD THAT FELT GOOD !!!!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 17:13
true jay, they have to talk because wenger doesnt!
did anyone notice on the fabregas show, when they aksed him how he was he said ‘ok, but not busy enough’ think there was anything in that?
May 21, 2008 at 17:15
Dennis, Le Grove and Beer is definitely the way to spend the summer! (well played Geoff and Pedro by the way). I just cannot shake myself out of the apathy that has gripped me since around March/April time, thus the pessimism.
I think if anyone spends too much time this summer looking at NewsNow etc you will go a bit cuckoo!
May 21, 2008 at 17:18
don’t hold back Bud.
While i agree with you mate i can’t help but think he is a big talent and we could really do with him… specially if Hleb does leave.
Yeah i noticed that Tom… i also noticed a lot of his answers to questions about Fabregas were very cryptic and actually answered most questions without even mentioning or reagrding Fab
May 21, 2008 at 17:20
Although his Housebuilding bit was certainly a bit cryptic as well. Does he think Eboue has a roof?
May 21, 2008 at 17:22
Eboue hasn’t got a fucking basement James let alone a roof
May 21, 2008 at 17:22
I SHAN’T – LITTLE WANK-RAG…………. YOU DIDN’T HEAR SAGNA’S AGENT COMING OUT WITH SHIT LIKE THAT. ARSENAL WANTED HIM, HE RAN (BARE FOOT I’LL ADD !) AND SWAM ALL THE TO THE TRAINING GROUND TO SIGN – FROM TRINIDAD WHERE HE WAS HOLIDAYING !!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 17:22
This Nasri thing as gone on all day, now there are reports that the agent is listerning to other offers for this kid. this sounds like as usual that wont get him. we have all said it today, we never get to know who we are signing until he is presented to us. i recon that the agent is using the aresnal line, as we always sign kids, and he’s french, to get maxium money.
hope i’m wrong but we always get this, as soon as were are mentioned and it looks like we are going to sign them, the wankers called agents use this to get more money.
May 21, 2008 at 17:23
I said earlier that all this Nasri transfer business would turn out to be bullshit. Its a definate no go now as he is with France from tonight so the next chance he gets to sign with anyone will be after the Euro’s.
I was really hoping Wenger would sign players before the Euro’s but as usual you can already see nothings going to happen!!
I’m really pissed off, I try really hard not to get excited by transfers until they’re complete but because of the lack of transfers over the past few years you end up clinging to any bit of news you can find!! What a shit day!!
May 21, 2008 at 17:24
lets brighten the mood a bit.
The 1st kind of sex is called: Smurf Sex.
This kind of sex happens when you first meet someone and you both have sex
until you are blue in the face.
The 2nd kind of sex is called: Kitchen Sex.
This is when you have been with your partner for a short time and you are
so horny you will have sex anywhere, even in the kitchen.
The 3rd kind of sex is called: Bedroom Sex
This is when you have been with your partner for a long time. Your sex has
gotten routine and you usually have sex only in your bedroom.
The 4th kind of sex is called: Hallway Sex.
This is when you have been with your partner for too long. When you pass
each other in the hallway you both say “screw you.”
The 5th kind of sex is called: Religious Sex.
Which means you get Nun in the morning, Nun in the Afternoon and Nun at
night.
The 6th kind of sex is called: Courtroom Sex.
This is when you cannot stand your wife any more. She takes you to court
and screws you in front of everyone.
And last, but not least, the 7th kind of sex is called: Social Security Sex.
You get a little each month. But not enough to live on.
May 21, 2008 at 17:28
we all feel your pain GMR.
What pisses me off most is that we have funds available this year… we also have last years funds because Wenger actually made money last year and we’re all sat on the internet all day scrapping the bottom of the barrell all day for the slightest bit of hope that Wenger will spend some money… it’s bollox… nobody would believe we support one of the richest clubs in the world
May 21, 2008 at 17:28
DenisDM, ” bottles of Cloudy Bay ? over here that is a months wages, you greedy and probably pissed bastard !
May 21, 2008 at 17:29
All we want is hope.
May 21, 2008 at 17:30
ooops I meant 2…. must be the Chilean Sauvignon Blanc I am quaffing.
GGod word quaffing, it only works with wine. You can’t ‘quaff’ a lager, not even a Peroni
May 21, 2008 at 17:31
James…. I give you Hope,
May 21, 2008 at 17:34
The mentioning of alcohol is giving me hope Big Raddy. Quaffing is a fine word indeed and although you possibly can’t quaff a lager I am about to try!
May 21, 2008 at 17:36
Quaff away !!
May 21, 2008 at 17:37
Of course, over here the sun is passed the yard arm. How about where you are James? Or is this an illicit pre-pub sherbert?
May 21, 2008 at 17:42
In London Big Raddy, so the sun is well and truly past the yard arm here. Just leaving the office now so have a good night.
Cheers!!
May 21, 2008 at 17:45
have a good’un Grovers, I’m hoping for a Manc win, fuck I can’t believe I said that!
May 21, 2008 at 17:47
Shame on you Geoff, but I concur !
Must be the first time I want the Mancscum to win, but I sure as hell won’t watch the celebrations
May 21, 2008 at 17:49
Got that right Raddy, I will tie on a few though!
May 21, 2008 at 17:53
GREAT BREAKING NEWS
on my way home from work listerning to talksport on the radio, they anounced
“talksport understands that Arsenal have signed Nasri from OM”
dont know how to take this hopefully they have the facts right
May 21, 2008 at 17:54
well, on a positive note, AW did promise to announce a signing in a couple of weeks – he still has few days left. maybe someone not involved in the euros… like Ronaldhino for example. there’s very little speculation about him which tells its own story!
May 21, 2008 at 17:54
I already have in anticipation of the Nasri arrival. Premature it would appear, but what the hell, I will drink to the prospective arrival of the super summer signings.
May 21, 2008 at 17:55
TalkSport understand shite though
May 21, 2008 at 17:56
Timao,. My guess is that AW is a mighty pissed off Frenchman tonight. Yet again a greedy agent has scuppered his plans. AW likes to get his players signed before the tournaments (see Mozart)
May 21, 2008 at 17:56
true, but it sounds positive, they didn’t go into details just said he had signed
May 21, 2008 at 17:57
Not really bother who wins tonite they are all a shower of cunts.
Had a look at Nasri on you tube he looks the bees bollix
May 21, 2008 at 17:59
Sounds good Duncan hope its true
May 21, 2008 at 18:00
Well Talkshite know more than his agent then!!
On a good note at least Vela has been granted a work permit & can join up pre season!!
May 21, 2008 at 18:01
of course you are probably right BR – I reckon M Wenger will be hitting the bottle big-time, on his third sip of sauvignon blanc by now. the missus had better watch out if he loses it completely and has a lager shandy chaser
May 21, 2008 at 18:03
Big Raddy – Jealousy will get you nowhere my man………….i won my annual bet with some Spud i work with, you know the one, the ‘we’ll finish above you this season’ one……muppet! I won a monkey this year of the tosser coz he gave me odds, so i ordered a whole case of the Cloudy Bay, and i’m trying my best to work my way through it today!
May 21, 2008 at 18:03
he comes from mexico, he plays for a season then goes, in search of ice cream cones – just feeling cynical and that, you know…
May 21, 2008 at 18:05
I can just see it Timao. In his luxury St Albans gaff. Got his feet up with Sky Sports on,. Glass of chilled white in hand, telling the kids to shutup while he watches the build up to tonights game. By kick-offhe will be 3 sheets to the wind, shouting at the screen…. ” It should have been me !! ”
Oh dear – I am off on a red wine fantasy now…… sorry
May 21, 2008 at 18:09
that’s right Big Raddy, he’ll be like, frothing at the mouth, rolling around wearing a full referee kit, flagellating himself furiously, “it’s all your fault you bastards!”
May 21, 2008 at 18:13
lmao!!!
May 21, 2008 at 18:16

Manyoo will probably win tonight. Anyone who supports Arsenal can’t support Chelsea tonight, it would make them the first club in London to win the Champions League. We want to be the ones that pave the way, let Manyoo have it and lets win it next year. C’mon Wenger get us Lescott, he’s the best in the Premiership, good enough for us definitely. If need be Trade Gallas in and add a bit of cash. Lescott would gives us that edge, he’s 190cm tall, knows how to defend and score goals, he’s won player of the year at his club for 3 seasons running, guaranteed Premier League standard, at Arsenal his value would only shoot up, he is a value buy even if the investement needed is big. Look at Ferdinand, cost Manyoo 29m and how many titles have they won with him. And he’s been there for years, they paid top dollar and they haven’t had to switch in that position for years. We’d get that with Lescott, Lescott is a 25million pound player, but he would make a huge difference in our team.
May 21, 2008 at 18:30
Would Lescott be available? If so, where would you play him FC? I think Gallas is a better player than Kolo. For me he is head and shoulders better than our other CB’s. So would it be Kolo that steps down? Lescott has been playing at FB, and I think our FB’s are far better than him in their positions.
Nonetheless, he would be a great signing for us.
May 21, 2008 at 18:32
Just followed your link Choy. I follow the same training programme as RvP !
May 21, 2008 at 18:33
And Choy, what does Imao mean?
May 21, 2008 at 18:33
Finest, If Lescott was the best then he would play centre half for his club but instead been playing left back all season for Everton.
Sorry but i don’t rate him at all..
May 21, 2008 at 18:39
Choy, after a season blighted by falling over and hangovers, i’m embarking on some low stress drinking exercises
May 21, 2008 at 18:44
I am still not decided as to whom i want to win tonight, as much as i despise Chelsea & their their previous manager, my hatred towards Man u runs far deeper!
May 21, 2008 at 18:55
hate them both, but chelsea winning is best in impartial terms because they don’t need the money and man utd do
May 21, 2008 at 18:55
If Man ure win it they’ll pull away from us & might take a few years for us to catch up with them , on the other hand if the Chavs win it , it could give us that extra motivation to do it next year ourself…….
……. having said that i would to see crowd trouble , red cards galore , both teams kicking lumps out of each other causing the game to be abanded and never to be played again!
May 21, 2008 at 18:56
but then chelsea winning nothing would be sweet as well, there’s a silver lining either way
May 21, 2008 at 18:56
* would like *
May 21, 2008 at 19:00
@Bud your message at 5:12pm…. That was well funny.
Still laughing.

May 21, 2008 at 19:17
did you see the latest quotes from Nasri’s agent that no deal with Arenal has been reached yet..apparently other offers have arrived
Nasri cannot be considered an Arsenal player at all
same shiit as usual
we wont pay up and we will miss out.. same same old
May 21, 2008 at 19:20
There a bit on CNN sports illustrated about Nasri signing tomorrow but i cannot link it in.
I’d like to see Cashley arrested by the KGB and baged up over there for a few years..
May 21, 2008 at 19:22
I’d also like Cheryl to run off into the sunset with Cesc…. lol
May 21, 2008 at 19:23
big raddy…
Laughed My Ass Off…
it’s the champions league final.. so depressing.. thank god i can’t watch it.. will be following it though…
May 21, 2008 at 19:32
We are as good as utd offensively and better than chelsea but we won’t be contesting this final, question is why?????
… simple, as good as we are going forward , we do look like a dog’s dinner defensively at times!
Take note AW, yes we’d like to see the Nasris, Diegos & Ronaldihnos of this world, but it’s defenders that we need, someone in the mould of big Sol will go along way to solving our problems defensifely!
May 21, 2008 at 19:51
some bugger on young guns reporting that berbatov going to chelsea!
May 21, 2008 at 19:55
Agreed, Abdenor, we look like conceding as often as we look like scoring. Obviously, our wide defenders Clichy and Sagna rate with any team’s, but it is apparent that Kolo and Gallas make a crap partnership in the center. Which is why I don’t understand the bile spewed at Big Phil. It can definitely be argued that when he partnered with Gallas (especially during Kolo’s time at the African Cup), the back 4 played their strongest football. And this isn’t a knock on Kolo… He and Gallas are just way too similar in defense, more willing to do the clean-up work. If you want to be shot of Senderos, then you need to bring in a big center back to replace him. Personally, I think selling Gallas off would be addition by subtraction, and Kolo should have the armband.
Anyone know what’s happening with Ben Arfa, or is that deal dead?
May 21, 2008 at 20:21
so the manure 1 up, should have been 2
typical…… we have no signing…..YET
May 21, 2008 at 20:30
1-1 fat lamps
May 21, 2008 at 20:47
has everybody logged off now, or just in deep depression
May 21, 2008 at 20:48
week 2 and counting down the days for the new signings AW., just read about us signing a 17 year old french midfielder ,OH FUCKING JOY!!!!!!
PLEASE AW GIVE US SOME FEEL GOOD NEWS , SIGN SOMEBODY WE ALL KNOW ABOUT ,and fuck the mancs & chavs i dont give a toss who wins!!!!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 20:49
if we dont buy Nasri, we will be covered even more in ridicule.. is there any good news ever fucking emanating from this fucking club these days?
can we pull off anything these days?
what is it with us?
everything we do lands us in trouble
the world must be laughing at us
bring fucking Dein and some bloody professionalism back to this club
please………………..
all amateurs
May 21, 2008 at 20:50
Guys being from Jamaica, the whole first London team thing would not matter to me as much.
I hate them both, but I think I hate Man U far more.
Especially the diving swan Ronaldo.
Chelsea winning would also prevent Manu from winning the double therefore for these 3 reasons I want Chelsea to win even tho i know it would pain the English guys with the whole London thing.
May 21, 2008 at 20:52
BB – its just an agent stiring things up, i am sure, arsene doesnt do his buisiness this way
May 21, 2008 at 20:54
rico be careful you almost sounded like you were in the akb brigade!!!!!!!!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 21:00
I am now starting to question Nasri’s desire to sign , he’s getting big headed already before he even kicked the ball in anger for us, if that’s the case then he can f**k off…
May 21, 2008 at 21:02
we just have to wait and see what happens, i wont be suprised if chelsea and liverpool wanting to bid for him
hence why wenger does not mention transfer targets….
May 21, 2008 at 21:02
Abdenor – It’s not so much Nasri as his agent taking the piss. To be fair he may really want to sign for us, and his agent is looking to make more money for HIMSELF.
May 21, 2008 at 21:06
Maybe davoody but Nasri would’ve signed already if he wanted to , regardless what his agent advised him to do!
May 21, 2008 at 21:07
agents always take the piss, they love it in the summer…..
this is the reason why wenger never discloses any info about his targets, because other teams want to get the same players we want.
May 21, 2008 at 21:08
Try again !http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/soccer/05/21/arsenal.nasri/index.html?section=si_latest
May 21, 2008 at 21:10
I did try anyway it says nasri is coming tomorrow, I don’t know how good the site is!
May 21, 2008 at 21:11
True, although i’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt, if he joins up with France squad before signing then i guess you were more than likly right. Im expecting (hoping) for the official tomorrow.
May 21, 2008 at 21:34
anyone watching chelsea tonight – i just love the flower show, bbc2 coverage as good as usual………………..
May 21, 2008 at 21:37
another 30mins…. yaaaawwwwnnn!
May 21, 2008 at 21:40
rico .. you made me laugh ..
.. getting accused of being part of the AKB gang
just frustrating .. there has been no good news reg our club in weeks if not months
its bad karma
come on guys .. sort yourself out
we got no dosh..players want out..we miss our transfers.. bloody fukking hell
can somebody sort these people out?
May 21, 2008 at 21:40
with wenger he would invest big money in youngsters, but a player like samir nasri £13m is just right for a player of his calibre
May 21, 2008 at 21:47
BB – few pansies on show tonight on tonights programme
akb………. i dont mind, if i knew what it meant!!!!
May 21, 2008 at 22:06
we need a defender like terry..
just look at him.. he’s inhuman… breaks foot.. dislocates shoulder.. gets kicked in the head!!! and he’s still playing!!!
May 21, 2008 at 22:12
See you later Drogba …lol
May 21, 2008 at 22:15
robin van persie, what the hell is wrong with this guy, he just keeps on getting injured… wonderful talent but i cant remember him playing for the whole season
May 21, 2008 at 22:25
rico.. well done
I got sucked into all this CL final shiit
May 21, 2008 at 22:38
Turned out better than I expected! Terry Ha ha.
May 21, 2008 at 22:42
crap man, this makes me want arsenal to fuck everyone over next season
May 21, 2008 at 22:44
we were by far the best team this season
but you cant tell anybody as we fukked everything up due to being 2 players short
now if things continue the way they are, we will be 5 players short
May 21, 2008 at 22:45
i know, i feel we deserved something, we just had the most fucked up luck this year
May 21, 2008 at 22:46
so no london team won the CL yet… thats a relief…
May 21, 2008 at 22:49
Abramovich, you son of a bitch, its time to pull the plug on chelski. They are not worth the hassle,
May 21, 2008 at 22:49
Yeah definitey, Manyoo win as expected, it was a close call, and it had to be one of our ex-players , Anelka, to make sure that Chelsea are NOT London’s first team to win the CL. We play better than both of them, so we can make it next year and win.
May 21, 2008 at 22:51
well, it burns me inside to see all this
next season, we know what to do and we have to do it
May 21, 2008 at 22:53
yes finest.. but first we need better karma.. and more players
now all we get is obstacles..bad news..rejections..players on their way out..dissatisfied.you name it
somebody got to change the dynamics at Arsenal
we are mired in negativity.. and that triggers even more negativity.. and problems
does nobody realize this at the club?
we are never ever making headlines for positive reasons .. seriously!!!!!!!!
never seen anything like that
May 21, 2008 at 22:55
we know what the problems are
why the fuck dont we fix them
its the same ol story, every fucking summer we get the same shit
we dont see it from chelsea, man utd and even liverpool
why is it us????
May 21, 2008 at 22:57
BB, The dynamics just changed. Manure won’t be as hungry next year, chelski are shot, & Arsenal have something to prove. The glass is half full with this Goooooooooner!!!
May 21, 2008 at 22:58
man utd will get more games next year… and we can take advatage
May 21, 2008 at 22:58
It doesn’t matter if Abramovich pulls the plug, Chelsea have 18 months of survival until a new buyer can be found, and some Usmanov will come along and “help out”.
Good bets for next season are, Derby and QPR to get promoted. You might scoff at the Derby suggestion but, they have 3 things going for them:
1)Paul Jewell, he’s won promotion with Wigan
2)Financial backing, he’ll be able to buy the best Championship standard players
3) They know what’s wrong with the team. Everything, they’ll start from scratch.
4) They’ve been planning since April when they knew they were going to be relegated and have already got new players read.
QPR will be funded by Lakshmi Mittal and bernie Ecclestone.
Anelka looks set to be offloaded by Chelsea, maybe the team that gets through on the play offs might want him. Some people were complaining we didn’t get him. 2 goals since he’s been at Chelsea, what a lame duck, he’s an even bigger flop than Shevchenko.
May 21, 2008 at 22:59
Sorry 4 things going for them.
May 21, 2008 at 23:20
How funny was Terry’s penalty.
I thought first half was good. The rest was pants up to the pens. And thanks Nic.
I guess the drink is affecting some of the guys on the blog. The season only finished last week and already the gloom merchants are out.
FFS, imagine you were the Chavs – two lost finals and two points from the EPL. With all those brilliant players, all that money, they won the same as us (and the Scouse).
May 21, 2008 at 23:21
FC, I would still sign Anelka. He would be great for us.
May 21, 2008 at 23:29
Fucks me off something chronic when diehard idiots defend Wenger because he changed that, because he changed this. Errr. One major flaw with that. What has a successful past got to do with a shite present? Brian Clough bought success to Forest then got them relegated. Prime example of making and breaking a team. If Arsenal win nothing much within the next 5-6 years, you’d still get wankers defending Wenger because he changed the dietary methods 20 years ago, and won league titles 15 years ago lol. Remarkable.
I used the same scenario once before. If your married for example of 20 odd years and your wife has bought you so much happiness and changed your life etc etc, and one day you found out she was fucking other guys recently, you gonna defend her and keep ahold of her because of the happy past? Or are you gonna consider the present and cut your losses? Maybe work something out, Wenger has had 3/4 years. Plenty of time to deliver but hasn’t. In football, you judge someone in the recent past and present to be fair. And Arsenal’s last 3/4 seasons have been in general shit and trophyless.
Oh, and maybe stability breeds success, after all, look at the incredible success and trophies Dario Gradi bought to Crewe after so many years of being manager.
People also wonder why on earth Wenger plays Diaby and Eboue etc all the time, and call the man a genius. Answer is, the bloke is an idiot. Why would a genius make the same old simple mistakes eh? Bunch of Wenger asshats. And does a so-called genius go a total since they have been at a club of around 6-7 years without a trophy? And does a genius who has had such wonderful, world-class players at their disposal have such a shit general record in Europe and never won a CL and back-2-back league titles?
Bloke wants to admit defeat, gain respect by fucking off to Japan or France and take the board of directors with him. Prove how “good” he is by building a youth/young team with a small club over there for peanuts. Then if he makes them worldclass, then we can say he is a genius. What a prick.
The joke is. Wenger’s glass is always half full when it should be half empty. The idiot thinks because they were top for long periods, they were just unlucky etc with injuries and whatever. Thinking theres’a conspiracy against Arsenal is typical of being a cunt and decisions etc go against him. Should take a long hard look in the mirror and closer to home. Always someone elses fault.
He reckons with this squad, players be back from injuries and be better next season. WRONG! Yes, Arsenal will be better, but it isn’t about that, it is the fact United etc, will be EVEN BETTER next season. They won’t rest on their laurels. Wenger is an idiot and doesn’t realise that. Even if we had a fit first 11 all season, we still aren’t good enough. It amazes me why people continue to defend this man to the death. He is seriously fucking up Arsenal, to a point, if he did leave, no world-class players would want to join Arsenal anyway. You lot must like seeing United/Chelsea etc win the league and stuff and/or be crowned European Champions. Get used to it. Won’t ever change under Wenger. All true and the truth hurts. With a French git who speaks such shit and thinks the World is against Arsenal. That is why I dislike Wenger, not just because of the lack of success recently, it is the refusal to learn from the ultimate, simple alot of the times mistakes, and the constant “bigging” up of his team when they aren’t good enough, and the repetitive shite he continues to spout. Whatever he once achieved at Arsenal is history. He will be remembered as the maker and breaker. Most successful manager, but also the most underachiever. Fact!
Plus, although I am not particularly bothered by the lack of British players in our team/squad, BUT, Wenger goes on about how wonderful our foreign kids/team is, well, what have they actually won eh?
Maybe I was quick to jump the gun by slating Wenger in 2006. But in 2007, and 2008 same old shit. Slating is justified. Nuff said.
Wenger said in the summer of 2005, when he sold Vieira, he had a “Masterplan” and “Trust me”. I guess that the plan and the trust in him, was to finish with fuckall 3 seasons on the trot, whilst watching your fiercist rivals sweep the lot between them. How wonderful. The cunt’s ego is writing checks his body can’t cash (lmfao “Top Cunt”) and he is a skinny fucker too. Starved of success. Whilst everyone else involved with The Arsenal (mainly the fans) has to suffer.
Seeing United/Chelsea etc win shit, you’d think would agonize and make Wenger etc more determined to do something about it.
Wenger apologists always point out we were “shit” before Wenger came along and were a “mid-table team”, which in parts is utter shite, because it was only around twice (1993 & ‘95) we were mid-table.
So, where’s the people who are gonna try and shoot me down with facts I have proved about us being a mid-table team prior to Wenger eh? 1993 and 1995 was the only real time in recent years prior to Wenger we were mid-table. Yet, in 1993, we still won a cup double which was a first in those days, so not at all a bad season and was a fantastic triumph when the League Cup meant something back then. So in fact, 1995 and 1996, was only 2 shitty seasons we had until Wenger came along. In fact, Graham only finished outside the top 4 like 3 times in his 9 seasons or so he was at Arsenal. And 1995 would of been different if it wasn’t for a certain cunt named Nayim from the halfway line.. Could of been the first team to win back-2-back Cup Winners Cups.
People are also quick to harp on about how we wouldn’t even be where we are today without Wenger. Damn right about that!! Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Same people, however, aren’t as quick to notice that the past 3/4 seasons, which have been shit are also thanks to Wenger. After 2004, it is sure shit to be an Arsenal fan. But hey, of course, why shan’t I go support the Mancs or Chelsea, or even Liverpool eh?! Maybe as well, we don’t have the funds to get players in because the new stadium etc. Well, if that’s true, sounds like a right hash job and not thought through enough, with crippling debts. Might be good for the future, but by then, probably be a lower division side. Yet again, you can blame Wenger, seeing as he was the one behind the new stadium.
Thing is as well, I wouldn’t want Mourinho at Arsenal, but Arsenal fans speak shit anyway. If we had him or some boring cunt like Koeman, and we won titles every season etc, noone would complain because we were winning things. Then again, some idiots would probably say they didn’t want trophies playing less attractively and would rather win nothing under daddy Wenger. Brilliant times tho eh? After we won the FA Cup (undeserved) in 2005, we have had to watch Liverpool win the CL, FA Cup, Chelsea back-2-back titles, an FA Cup, and Man United back-2-back titles, and also being crowned Champions of Europe in the same season. What a wonderful place to be in. And people reckon us Arsenal fans are spoilt lol. What the fuck does that make United fans then eh?! Them not wanting a takeover from the Glazers probably been the best thing for them! Dominated the 90s, and now the 2000s and probably do it all again next season and dread to think who they’ll strengthen with!
And who can forget Avram Grant reaching his first CL Final in only a few months, someone who is inexperienced and might not even have the right coaching badges etc. Something Wenger has taken a decade to do, and still not won a Champions League! Wenger also says the English dominance in the CL won’t last forever. Just a sore loser and jealous in which he won’t do shit about. Guess by him saying that, is no dominance writes Arsenal out of winning it lol. Such a cunt that bloke. Speaks so much shit. Moans at Chelsea for having unlimited funds etc, but Man United ended their dominance of 2 successive league titles by spending less. And thanks to their takeover from the Glaziers who all the fans hate. Don’t hear them moaning about them now. And Wenger is against a takeover. So it is his fault for not having funds. Then again, he knows full well he be out on his ear for not winning nothing! Wenger doesn’t even need to break the bank anyway. He even said himself he wouldn’t spend 100 million if he had it!! And if the club is broke, Wenger is the bloke who’s to blame for wanting to move to the new stadium.
SACK THE BOARD AND WENGER!! It is the only way forward if Arsenal are to win trophies. They’re both fucking cunts. Lie to the fans. Just because Wenger wants to do it his way and bring on shit kids and basement buys etc. 360 million in debt is a hell of a lot. But not if you put into consideration Highbury being sold, overpriced season tickets, matchday revenue, merchandise etc, new flats being built. Absolute fucking joke. Plus, you pay off for loans with a small amount each month, probably what Arsenal make in one or two home games. Total disgrace and lies. Man United might be in debt, but at least their trophies and success will go a hell of a long way in paying it off. Campbell, Wiltord, Edu, Kanu, Pires and now Flamini all on a free and gone. A potential of at least 20 million lost inside 3 years due to the way this cunt of a team is being managed and controlled. Might get some anthrax and send it to Arsenal. Kill all the cunts. All spin and lies and propaganda, just like the government. 25 million on one player nowadays certainly for a big club, should be the equilavent of 7-10 million 5-6 years ago.
Probably why Edelman was booted out because if I recall, he was the one who last year or so, claimed Arsenal were in a fantastic position financially and had 70 odd million to spend if wanted. Hill-Cunt and co, probably thought it blew Wenger’s cover and booted him out. In order to protect Wenger on his fucking shit policies and lie about having no money so Wenger has the perfect excuse when they come up short season after season.
Plus, Wenger harps on about our fantastic improvement and points tallie and be better next season. Funny that. Seeing as they just lost key players (Flamini/Hleb) on a free transfer who played a key part in that. So in fact, they are actually WEAKER already! And they already needed at LEAST 3 top quality signings prior! Plus, like when he said Henry wouldn’t be sold, Wenger the lying cunt saying again how “We will only lose 1 player.” And now he has lost his midfield. All lying cunts at Arsenal it seems nowadays.
And people defend Wenger (Arsene knows brigade and apologists) stating the board are letting Wenger down in regards to transfer money. Wenger is the fucking man behind it!! He wanted to move to the stadium and do things on the cheap and brainwashed the board to the point they are now BOTH to blame. Wenger wouldn’t even spend 100 million if it was all good and wouldn’t effect the debt at the club.
Plus, Wenger said success can only be measured in time. Okay then. Have it your way:
7 trophies in 12 years not bad. But add up a total of 6 years of not winning anything, no back-2-back titles EVER, no Champions League, 3 league titles in 12 seasons, and no title for 4 seasons, and a trophyless 3 seasons on the bounce.
Overall, shit ratio. Well done Arsene!
Once Fabregas goes, which will probably be next summer. Seeing as the team is built around him, Wenger will fuck off, and the Arsenal board because daddy left, leaving it someone elses’ problem to hire a new manager and leaving the club in the shit. Probably end up Arsenal having the best stadium in the Coca-Cola Championship lol. With sad fucking Wenger cunts with banners sat there saying “Arsene Knows.” “Bring back Arsene.” We are shit. Fucked. Finished. Back to mediocracy like the 80’s until Graham saved us and turned Highbury into practically a full house and not just 20,000.
Funny too, how people say Ferguson is a “chequebook” manager and Chelsea “bought” success etc. True in parts, but still bullshit in regards to Ferguson, because he is a totally quality manager and a winner. Buying players doesn’t guarantee success, look at Real before they won titles recently etc. You telling me that Man United and Chelsea’s first eleven are better than that of Arsenal’s 2004 winning team for example?! NO! It isn’t. My point is, Wenger has never been good enough to win a title after another and a CL. So trying to belittle Ferguson’s achievements because of cash is bollocks. You still need to know what your doing. Plus, I bet if we splashed the cash and won title after title etc, what Arsenal fan would moan about that?!! NONE! Stop moaning. I bet if Wenger managed United for a season, probably get them relegated lol.
The prick also claims this is the best squad he has ever had under him. What shit and a total insult to the players we have had. As if this bunch of shit would compete with the 1998 double and 2002 squad and that of the “Invincibles” of 2004. What a load of spin and shit. Typical of this cunt! And you got Hill-Cunt defending the man saying he is completely behind him and couldn’t give a shit if we win nothing ever again…Stating too, that winning the CL and title is a difficult thing to do. Yeah, but United and Chelsea seem to cope.
People might wanna read this as well. Remember Leverkusen? That’s right. A team so close to glory once and now, are shit. Ring any bells? I am sure their fans were slightly optimistic after coming so close. But look what happened since lol. Lost 2 of their best players in Lucio and Ballack :
The Almost Champions
The team earned a series of top four finishes from 1997 to 2002 that included four second place finishes. The finishes of 2000 and 2002 were heart-breaking for supporters as on both occasions the team had the Bundesliga title within its grasp. In 2000, Bayer Leverkusen needed only a draw against minnows Unterhaching to win the title, but an own goal by Ballack helped send the team to a crushing (0:2) defeat, while Bayern Munich clinched the title with a (3:1) victory over Werder Bremen. Two years later, the club surrendered a five point lead atop the league table by losing two of its last three matches while Borussia Dortmund swept ahead with three consecutive victories in its final matches. The 2002 season has been dubbed the “Treble Horror”, as Bayer Leverkusen were also beaten in the German Cup final (2:4) by Schalke 04, and lost the UEFA Champions League final to Real Madrid (1:2). Still, the team earned the honour as the first team ever to reach the UEFA Champions League final without winning a national championship before.
And who can forget Liverpool and Houillier? For the idiots who claim we are gonna win the league next season because of getting 83 points this term, are in fact, cunts.
Liverpool got 80 points in 2002 when we won the double, and that other French prick Houllier said how fantastic it was etc and had it been another season, they might of won the league. Yet, 6 years on, no league title for them and haven’t finished runners-up since and no title since 1990.
If it is true what Wenger said about how brilliant it is Arsenal qualifying for the CL every season, again, another cunt comment. He once said himself only the Champions alone should go in it, and he has only won the league 3 times in 11/12 years. Shit. The rest have been due to finishing second and of late, 4th (thanks to West Ham), 4th and 3rd. Again, pathetic and not saying much.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, to be an Arsenal fan. And some pricks claim “These are the best times!” Well fuck me…
“It is unacceptable for a big club to go 4 years without a league title.” – Arsene Wenger on Real Madrid who have now bounced back and won back-2-back titles.
No league title for Wenger for 4 years, and trophyless for 3 and counting…………

OFFICIAL: NASRI TRANSFER a load of bololcks
May 22, 2008 at 01:39
I wouldn’t worry too much about it, inability to properly sculpt body hair is a skill that eludes nearly all footballers. See: Gallas mohawk, CRonaldo hairstyle, Sagna fake dreadlocks, Wes Brown peach fuzz, Xabi Alonso bowlcut, Tevez shag, Lampard skijump, Collocini/Puyol poodle etc.
Just be thankful he’s not Spanish or Argentine, then we’d really be in for a hair surprise.

ha, fucking ha you cheating chavs, you made my night Super Nick, well done and thank you!
May 22, 2008 at 07:27
Lets hope Wenger has a proper backup plan this time around. It’s clear his first priority was Nasri but he looks to be another money grabber so we can forget that one. Infact the reports this morning seem to be suggesting that the Ben Arfa/Nasri swap deal is on, which also rules Ben Arfa out of a possible move to us!!
Joy of joy its already a shit day & it hasn’t even started yet.

Our club has become a joke, we are used as a stepping stone by youngsters to big clubs that are capable of challenging.
When do players or agents ever f**k Man Utd or any of the other big clubs about??
