AW has alternatives for defensive midfield within the club. The best option is to repeat the Emauuele Petite turn of magic and play the left back in midfield. He has the speed to get back to cover and is one of the cleanest tacklers in the game. Perhaps Thuram at centre back to lead the team and play alongside Kolo and Gallas alternately till Northfeldt comes of age. Ben Alfa to come in on the left flank with Traora at left back. But Robin Van P could to a good job on the right wing, similar to Robert Perez opn the felt, to play Sagna up the wing or find Chesc on a mid field run, or squeeze the ball through to Ade or Theo. Thuram and Ben Alfa would add the 8 points we were short of last season.

Guys please help me out here, did it make sense for us to sell Flamini because we didnt want to give him an increase of 20K?

now we are going to buy someone for 16 million pounds who is going to require as much wages as Flamini…

Was it the issue of wanting to save money or there was something behind the scenes that is being covered up??

we can say good bye to robinho

Real Madrid have opened new contract talks with Robinho's representatives.
The Brazilian winger's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, and his father, Gilvan de Souza, have met with Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic to begin negotiations over a new six-year deal.

Robinho's current deal runs to 2010 and with a new Spanish passport set to arrive this year, Real are eager to tie him down to a new, improved long-term agreement.

as soon as they get a spanish passport they value goes up even more

Big question marks hang over several of Avram Grant's high-priced Chelsea players.

The Daily Mail says Juliano Belletti, who picked up the club's goal of the season award for his spectacular effort against Tottenham, will be asked to leave, along with winger Florent Malouda and forward Claudio Pizarro.

Khalid Boulahrouz, who has been on loan to Sevilla, will also be released when a fee can be agreed for the central defender. And a Chelsea source admitted on Monday that, despite Andriy Shevchenko's goal against Bolton on Sunday, "they will personally drive him to anyone who will have him".

There is also the curious case of Branislav Ivanovic, who has not played since he joined from Lokomotiv Moscow in January. At 24, he should be involved with the first-team squad, but no one in the reserves can understand why Chelsea paid £9million for him.

i wont mind taking florent malouda for £5m
