Well 2nd spot is unlikely now as Chelski have to draw or lose 2 matches. The only slightly more difficult one for them is Newcastle away (who are going well at present), I do think they’ll draw with Man Utd but I don’t see them going down against Newcastle or Bolton in reality.
Second place is still a losers spot but at least it would’ve meant avoiding the CL qualifiers which are getting tougher every year & it also means your second league match is postponed which I feel puts you at an instant disadvantage.
On the plus side Everton’s defeat means we have definately finished top 4 so no chance of a final nasty surprise!!

Reading have got a decent fan base in Asia. I think it’s because they head that way each pre season & they do play good football at times.

RVP looks very likely to play, he’s had a few games to warm up now and Reading at home is just the place to grab a goal or two. I hope to see Adebayor on, I reckon he can do the business against Reading, the RVP-Adebayor combo gets us goals.
Whatever experiments Wenger wants to do elsewhere, we should keep our two best strikers on to stand the best chance of winning, on paper it’s a cast iron win, 3 points are a must, Reading have the second worst goal difference in the league.
We should score at least two goals in this game, and I can’t see Reading getting more than 1 past us, on this occasion I’d settle for a 1-0, we need the points.
This is the kind of game we look for massive performances in. I hope Reading don’t get relegated, I don’t think they will because they have Derby as their final game, and it’s doubtful Bolton will get 6 points by the end of the season, but I hope they overtake Birmingham, meaning Derby, Fulham and Birmingham would go down, I think those 3 deserve it the most.. Well, the boss is very shaken by now but still not totally convinced.
After they leave the White House grounds he expresses his doubts to Dave, who again implores him to name anyone else.

“Sure!” says Dave. “I’ve known the Pope for years.” So off they fly to Rome.
Dave and his boss are assembled with the masses at the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square when Dave says, “This will never work. I can’t catch the Pope’s eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I’ll come out on the balcony with the Pope.”
He disappears into the crowd headed towards the Vatican.
Sure enough, half an hour later Dave emerges with the Pope on the balcony, but by the time Dave returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics.
Making his way to his boss’ side, Dave asks him, “What happened?”
His boss looks up and says, “It was the final straw … you and the Pope came out on to the balcony and the man next to me said, ‘Who the f***k is that on the balcony with Dave?”

So he believes in Bendy-Theo and I’m sure RVP will lead the line next year (when he’s not in medical room), and Ade will get good competition from the kids.
Personally, I would have liked if he had signed Villa, or even Huntelaar, or Benzema (these strikers would become the next world’s best, but Wenger reckons Theo and Bendy have the qualities to succeed. I think I’ll take Bendy over Ade. He has most of the qualities you’d expect for a good striker, and if he works a bit on positional play, and most importantly clever runs as he lacks pace. Theo will work on his technique. Anyway, it’s a big let down that we have to rely on kids while other top teams have “proven talents”.
Benzema might become next Ronaldo(the real one), and Huntelaar the next Van basten, but no…Arsenal football club’s manager prefer and rely on kids. They have made “huge improvements” apparently. heh
Arsenal is one of the best football clubs. I suspect Arsene taking us for granted. Surely the fans want more worldclass talents than a training godown for young kids..

We are a big club… one of the highest ranked clubs in the world, 2 highest profit earner with the highest paying fans and we have to put up with developing kids that aren’t quite ready yet, a class striker that can’t stay off the injury table for more than 3 games and Ade (not sure how best to describe Ade without ranting)

D’ya know… i’m always the optimist come transfer window time but i think Wenger has let us down so many times through the transfer window i think i might just save my optimism for something else this year… like i don’t know… believing my mother in-law may one day become a nice person or that Spurs wont be deluded about how good they are next season because there is more chance of one of those happening than me being excited about what Wenger is doing in the transfer window.

I’ll tell you what. Wenger covers his mistake again. He made two bad decisions, selling Viera (How could he be less excited about Cesc-Viera pairing!?), Pires and Sol campbell (for free!). To my mind, Viera and Pires were important and much more pivotal to the squad and team unity than Thierry or Freddie. Of course, he sold them later. But selling Pires when he wanted to stay and help the club is a CRIME~!

If Flamini refuses to sign by the end of April but comes to Wenger in the middle of May & says “I’m ready to sign now”, does anyone truly believe Wenger would then say “Too late, you have to leave”. There’s not a chance in hell of that happening!!
