Can new ‘Diego’ deliver the premier league?

Sven said it, not me. He is no fool though and he reckons he has the talent to be the English Maradona.

I just watched the second Arsenal goal at Anfield again and watched Theo’s amazing run from his own penalty area, my goodness Arsene, how can you afford to leave this kid out, he truly is the special one.

Then the commentator said, 7 minutes to go to be in the semi final of the champions league, 7 rotten minutes, then the rest of course you know.

So one Irish paper thinks we are going to get our biggest premiership defeat handed out today, he thinks the Mancs are too good for us and our season ended when we went to Old Trafford with a weakened side in the FA Cup.

We said on here that we would lose that with the team selected, we also said on here it would have an effect on our season if that happened, does that make is particularly smart? No, it was pretty obvious then we didn’t have enough players, which is why I’m struggling to see how one signing will get us the odd trophy next season, unless of course our injury prone players don’t get injured anymore.

That’s for another day.

I think we’ll have a pretty strong squad for today, minus Flamini, but then he was missing from most of the Liverpool game anyway, and defensive howlers apart, we were the better team, so I think if he can shore up the defence we can win this and go on and win the league.

So what can he do in defence? He has to play Eboue, Kolo, Gallas and Clichy, or maybe spring a surprise and put Song or Djourou in and mix it up a bit, but I would go for the tried and tested.

We know Ronaldo and Rooney will start so we have to dominate midfield so I expect Hleb to drop into the hole and Ade will play alone, but I would go 4-4-2 and go for a bit of shock value, but he won’t, so I’ll be comfortable with anything save two things, no Senderos and no Eboue out wide.

Send on Theo and let him be our Ronaldo, let them be terrorised by this young genius, Theo can be the next big thing in English football, and given the chance, can be the signing we have been clamoring for at Arsenal, this boy can be a genius if you let him go Arsene, let him off the leash and bite red nose squarely on his fat arse.

Arsenal 2-1 or better, go Arsenal, let’s try and win the league.

Pedro and I are in and out today Grovers, good blogging today on the most important day left in our season.

  2. michael says:

Why did our season end at old trafford and not white hart lane? After the loss to the mancs we looked confident in the 5 minutes leading up to the dudu injury.

  3. choy says:

it is the most important day… good day lads

  4. georgesydaust says:

wouldnt that be nice? 1-2 to the arsenal. Even if we didnt win the league after that.

  5. ethan_gunner says:

Lets cross everything we own and pray for a win , but no one get your hopes up.
If any of you’ve visited the bookies you’ll be familiar with the odds ..
And let me just say they ain’t pretty !

Geoff’s right Theo is the secret weapon ! so lets hope arsene plays him in a position where we will get the most out of him ..

  6. Bradley says:

theo’s no genius. for the moment, his decision making and vision is a appalling. bergkamp was a genius.

  7. Matt says:

You’re right… theo need to be our Ronaldo… he has to start today… he could really catch Evra off-guard, evra’s good at attcking but an average defender…

Today decides our fate… we can beat them!!

  8. ethan_gunner says:

    bradley

Theo is far better than Ade ! at least he can beat a defender ! stay onside !
argue that if you will …

Theo is better than any other options on the table .. But if wenger had bought
in november when i said he needed too we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
We’d be playing anelka with RVP ..

  9. Thomas says:

Agree with Bradley, Theo is potential at the moment but nothing more. Beating half of the team at the end of a match when everyone has given there all and have nothing left is one thing – giving a sustained, quality performance over 90mins and having something like that left in the tank at the end is another.

Theo’s decision making is suspect and his technique is not quite there yet, he will make it but i expect him to make progress next season.

Problem we have is that we have no gladiators anymore and a fairly small team, OUR CENTREBACKS ARE 5FT 10 AND 5FT 11. Its no wonder long balls work all the time. Plus we need more depth, FAB4 cannot play in every match, every week. Does Fergie do that with Rooney and Ronaldo?

  10. Ollie says:

    Hey guys!
I have no idea why i did this, impulse really, but there is some more slight, not-to-obvious ravings again from our (well, ethan and mine’s) favourite blog again… (AAB)
Im Feeling Positive for this one! I dont feel we can fully stop ronaldo from scoring, but we can top the contest. We DID dominate liverpool, no matter how much we want to moan about it (which we do from time to time :) ). If We can dominate there, we can dominate here. Then were off to Derby, the team AV can beat 6-zip and the mancs can only just edge out one. Im pumped for this! 2-1 the gunners!

  11. Ollie says:

    Above comment*
not sure why i did this, but i went to AAB, and there is…. if that makes more sense…

  12. ethan_gunner says:

    1979 i presume ?
Ollie .. you didnt leave a comment did you ?
Should tell Odub to go there and leave a comment .. id pay money to see that !

Im sure he comes here and stalks Le Grove hoping for just this sort of reaction.
He reminds me of my X – wife ..

  13. ethan_gunner says:

obviously she didn’t have balls .. but then neither has 1979

FUCK ME ! ill be interested to see how you describe ade then !!!

  15. chris says:

zero expectation for today, just hope we dont get a hiding,
that being said we have nothing to loose today and should go all guns blazing, but too little too late
    quote of the day

    spend some money FFS

  16. ethan_gunner says:

    I cant believe thomas !?

the latest Look of theo was nothing short of magical ! ran the whole length of the pitch beat 5 players , to slot home a Christmas present to ade ..

just like he did V’s AC milan . and his technique is not quite there yet.

Thomas i know this blog (AAB) ……..

  17. Finestcuts says:

We need luck today, with our recent form as it is, a comeback against Manyoo is a huge ask. Wenger is determined to see his plan through, meaning we’ll use existing resources as much as we possibly can next season.

With players coming back from loan and some players we’ve seen glimpses of in the reserves,..and Wenger’s recent statement of seeing his youth plan to full fruition, it’s worth having a look at their profiles, these are the players who look as if they will get their chance to make it into the first team.

Fran Merida, Age: 18, position = central/left sided midfielder. Backup needed? Yes we only have Hleb as a no.1, with Diaby as backup.

Carlos Vela: Age:19, position = striker/right winger. Backup needed? Yes, we currently have Eboue playing there, plus a striker is always handy.

Harvard Nordveit: Age 17,(18 in June) position = defender. Backup needed? Yes we’ve been short in that department a few times this season, Harvard plays CB giving us more options there.

Kieran Gibbs, Age:18, position = central/left sided midfielder Backup needed? Yes, a flexible player who would be useful as backup for midfield and the left side.

Vito Mannone: Age 20: position = goalkeeper. Backup needed? Yes, Jens looks like he’s leaving.

Kerrea Gilbert: Age 21: position = versatile defender Backup needed? Yes, he can play Left and Right Back as well as in the middle

Mark Randall, Age:18 postion = midfielder. Backup needed? Yes, we need cover ror Fab + Flamini.

These seven players are total backup for all positions. With all of them in the first team, we won’t be down to the bare bones, we have someone available for any position.

Plus an experienced player, in total 8 players would be brought in.

If Jens and Gilberto go (which they probably will) and Arsene manages to keep hold of, we’fd have a squad with six extra players, a very big squad.

  18. ethan_gunner says:

Yeah chris im with you on that one ..
Im thinking like you dont go in too confident and if something happens !
    party !!!!!!!!!!

But ive got to say .. out of 38 games id say the toughest for us is Man U away
and chevski away .. On any normal occasion id be happy with a draw !
Piling a MUST WIN on the lads will surely see them buckle !

  19. Phobia says:

    Lehmann
    Toure-Senderos-Gallas-Clichy
    Walcott-Gilberto-Fabregas-Hleb
    Adebayor-Van Persie
    Subs:Almunia-Eboue-Diaby-Bendtner-Song
    Man Utd 1-Arsenal 2

  20. Evo in OZ says:

Lads – im wary of the Senderos slating, or fans even being able to spell his surname correctly, so however the bad game he had last week, ive seen equal if not more superbly bad games from Gallas and Toure, so lets give him a break!

By the way, the 2-1 win at Emirates last season included Big Phil on the list, however the 4-0 cup game didnt include Phil until the 71st minute and the 2-2 draw didnt include him either. He was injured for this corresponding game last season when it was Eboue, Djourou, Toure, Gallas as the backs, so i dare say he would have been no.1 choice amongst those blokes had he of been fit!

  21. Pedro says:

I can’t even be bothered to read what anyone else has written about us… As long as people keep coming here, we don’t give a fuck what anyone else has to say!

    Onto today!

What the fuck is wrong with me? I can’t see past a win?

We are due one, some bad luck, some bad injuries and some poor decisions over the last few weeks all add up to lady luck owing us one today!

    1 nil to the Arsenal!

    Come on you reds!

  22. Finestcuts says:

We have 2 distinct advantages with our youth policy.

    1) Wenger knows exactly what he’s dealing with, unlike a new signing which he has to spend time with to get to know.

    2) The club have a constant supply of backup players should anyone transfer to another club.

Yup we can win at Manyoo, but no-one should expect us to, happy go lucky should be the fans attitude today.

  23. Evo in OZ says:

Well my Aussie Rules team won today (Carlton) against our arch enimies (Collingwood), against all odds as we were the underdog, due to a re-building faze, but we always manage to beat them no matter what. Carlton and Arsenal are very similar in success and stature, so i expect us to win this match, no matter the fact it is away!

If Kanu Jnr pokes in at the 86th minute then so be it, or someone of the ilk of Henry heads in from an Eboue (or god help us, someone else) cross in the 90th minute, then bring it on!

    Fuck the Man U scum!

  24. Geoff says:

I expect us to play like our lives depended on it, our season sure as hell does, as the day goes on I’m getting confident, I just don’t like our away kit, roll on next season.

  25. Ollie says:

Yup, 1979… could not privilage him with a comment.. couldnt be stuffed! A lot of people predicting the 2-1. Same here, muct be the popular belief. We are going to do ourselves a favour tonight!
Thomas, he is 18, do you expect him to have perect technique? Sometimes you need a bit of the unorthadox! And the only reason that he hasnt played a full game yet is cos Eboue has had pole position over him! dunno y… then again, who does?

  26. Ollie says:

you a carlton fan Evo? i dont really follow the Footy, im more a 20/20 fan myself… (yup, a cricket guy…)

  27. Ollie says:

    Anyway, im off,
Cya lads, and GO THE ARSENAL!!

  28. Evo in OZ says:

yeah footy in Australia = Aussie Rules = Football = Footy.

Football has traditionally been called soccer, but its slowly switching to football, thanks to me and a lot of other oldies who like “soccer”.

    Go the Arsenal!

  29. ethan_gunner says:

    Evo

    come on the GLORY !
    i spent 20 years in australia !
great place to live ! Ollie are you an aussie ?
Yes gotta say i fell in love with the cricket whilst i was there ..
gotta say Who wouldnt .. the Aussies have dominated since the windies
    started playing basketball !

Pretty hard to get any coverage of it in thailand so Nowadays i only concentrate
on the best game in the world , and hopefully one day again the best team in the world !!

  30. ethan_gunner says:

    Finestcuts

    you forgot sunu !
i think he’s one of the best !

  31. Evo in OZ says:

Yep OZ is a great place to live, but i fell in love with the Arsenal when i lived in the UK, so its in my blood now, and the UK is a great place to live as well!

I so much hate Man U, Liverpool and Chavski (and the Spuds when they play ok…hahah), so i cant bear another loss!

2-1 to us, with Cesc and RVP goals, with Ronaldae to have their 15 mins of fame!

  32. Finestcuts says:

Ethan, i’ll take your word for it. He would probably need a loan to get a chance. Vela is coming back….and with Theo and Bendtner in development he doesn’t look like he’s next seasons material, but it shows us we already have players in development for 2009 onwards.

  33. Bradley says:

Ethan, I didn’t talk about Ade. I said Theo isn’t a footballing genius. You’ve done nothing to prove me wrong. Unlike Ade, his role is not to play the line, so I would be very surprised if he was often in potentially offside positions. Theo doesn’t beat his opponent consistently enough for my liking – often he’ll take one on when a pass should have been given, and then fail to beat that man. There are signs that’s improving. Once Theo starts creating and scoring goals the likes of which we’ve seen Dennis and TH14 score/set up, then we can talk about genius.

  34. Finestcuts says:

Yup, totally Bradley, the genius tag belongs to players like Van Basten, Romario, Eusebio. Theo’s a young man with potential and needs further development, plus he hasn’t got the results to prove himself as one of the best yet. Lets save the genius tag for the real ones…

  35. Pedro says:

    Potential Genius for sure.

Next season, I could see him scoring quite a few goals. His decision making is indifferent and I think he could do with becoming a little bit selfish sometimes… but he will be good.

I wasn’t a big fan earlier in the season, Geoff always has been.

I would love to see him become a big name for us, he has all the ingredients to do so. He just needs to work hard at his game!

    Predictions please!

  36. Finestcuts says:

    Van Basten

Enjoy some quality football, hopefully our players can get some inspiration from these great players.

    Eduardo’s favourite player is Romario.

Hopefully a special moment from Arsenal today.

  37. Pedro says:

When you look at Romario, he has a very similar build to Theo doesn’t he?

He was a fucking amazing player back in the day! Didn’t we try to sign him once?

    Maybe I am imagining that?

Anyone read about the unrest in the dressing room at Arsenal?

NoTW reckond the senior players are getting pissed at the tactics and the culture.

The fact that playing pretty football but winning fuck all seems to be ok nowadays.

  38. Thomas says:

    Ethan,

Of course Theo is only 18 and yes his run was brilliant, so was his contribution in Milan. But over the course of the season how many times have we seen him hold on to the ball for too long, dribble and get it caught under his feet, air-shot a pass laid on a plate? He will undoubtably be a very good player but he is not there yet and this year he has been the perfect impact substitution and will grow into a 90min player next season. Yes his decision making has been suspect and two sparkling displays of potential cannot hide the fact he is not quite there yet – jesus if we based ‘greatness’ purely on potential then the best players in the last 10 years have been Freddy Adu, Denilson (loppy pop king), Pablo Aimar and Saviola.

Theo will come good but he is still learning……

  39. Finestcuts says:

When Theo has accomplishments of great stature such as Ronaldo, sure, we can all him a genius. But for now he’s a five goal a season player. Geniuses shine before age 20…..it means next season he’ll have to score goals of Adebayor proportions to be considered a genius.

  40. Dinesh Kapur says:

The answer to the title of this post?

    NO !!

The run was AWE-INSPIRING and if you are to have any chance of winning the league you will need a lot more of them, a LOT MORE. However, Theo is seen more on the bench than on the park.

Though I certainly wish Arsenal GUN down the RED Riding Hood and his muffins (R and R). Go gooners !!

And are your center backs really 5 10 and 5 11 respectively? I thought I was a midget for the BPL. I am 5 9.5 – I think I have a career in them league of yours or maybe I should go to Spain – try my luck there – slower and a lot more space they say.

Well anything is possible in football – hopefully we get past Wigan on monday .. and I hope your lot THRASHES them men with chesty hairs.

    Peace.

  41. Thomas says:

Maybe he is a late bloomer like Zidane, Luca Toni and Ian Wright…..

What does anyone reckon to Bastian Schweinstegar? Another infield attacking midfielder shoved onto the wings – we have afew of those….

Oh as far as potential goes, anyone remember Javier Portillo? Scored for fun in Real B and C teams?

  42. Thomas says:

Apology declined – and it does happen too often. Thanks for your contribution to this ‘crazy’ 42 post idea facilitated and lauded by the worlds biggest dickheads.

  43. Finestcuts says:

Team news coming up shortly…..will he select the perenially dreaded Eboue, or give Walcott a chance?

  44. Finestcuts says:

I mean…they have Ronaldo on RW, we have Eboue….

  45. Pedro says:

    That’s not true!

Thierry was not a Genius before 20, not was Chritiano Ronaldo, Zidane, Stevie G, Kaka…

Some players get the tag early on, Ronaldo, Raul and Messi spring to mind… but not many.

Michael Owen was banging them in from 18… but you wouldn’t class him as a genius would you?

I don’t think Theo is a genius… but I wouldn’t rule it out if he didn’t start banging them in by the age of 20!

Thomas you can reel of hundreds of failed players, but I think the odds are stacked in Theo’s favour at Arsenal… he’ll be able to put in crap performances for at least 6 years before we decide to flog him! But he has pace, a bit of skill and a powerful shot. He also has a lot of big names waxing lyrical over him.

  46. Thomas says:

Maybe Wenger should clone Ronadlo at Colney – we just need to make sure we get a DNA sample from Old Trafford, there will be enough skin samples in our 18 yrd area from the amount of times he hits the deck.

  47. Pedro says:

Hopefully I ended your 42 jinx… now you just have 41.

  48. Thomas says:

So have many others Pedro – all that we can say about Theo is that he has potential, and provided he carries on progressing and does not plateau (which is what most do) then he has a good chance. He is 19, he could become a really good first team player in next few years. All i am saying is that he isn’t there yet – All this knee-jerk reaction to the season slowling down is making people irrational and more than a little stupid. Let Wengers team grow organically and see where they can take us.

Its really not all fire and brimstone (although the Liverpool game hurt like hell)

  49. Finestcuts says:

Next season is Theo’s time to prove himself, he’s had 3 yrs training with luxurious facilities at a top club, how many geniuses can afford to say they had that sort of luxury?
They usually only had it after they proved themselves at top level.

  50. Pedro says:

I think the organic growth may have plateaued this season.

Don’t you think we should start investing in area’s of weakness and start to strengthen the squad.

Lehmann and Gilberto will most likely leave in the summer… and we are only planning to bring in one player?

If we were short this year, where is the indication we won’t be short next year?

Remember we didn’t really suffer any injuries to this seasons key players… Clichy, Sagna, Flamini, Gallas, Cesc, Hleb and Ade stayed relatively injury free this year.

Can we count on that happening next year? What happens when it does? Who do you draft in who can do the same job?

  51. Thomas says:

What if Theo has a bad season next year then? flog him?

His situation is not his on doing and he cannot be compared to anyone else – he will learn at his own pace. Placing too much expectation on one so young could stifle his progress, as long as theres a noticable improvement that will be enough – he is not going to turn into a first teamer over the course of a summer.

  52. Pedro says:

How can you say that Thomas? Flamini did… Ade did… Clichy did.

I think Theo has been establishing himself over the last month, he is nearly there and Sven seems to agree that he is now ready.

  53. Ollie says:

    Liverpol 0-0 at HT
Ethan and Evo – I am a perth lad, perth WA that is, not to be confused with Perth in Ireland!. I try to Follow AFL when i can, but the EPL and ICL(Cricket) Devote my attention! Thomas, you raise some good points, but theo isn’t a fan favourite for nothing. There is somehting around him, an aura almost, that almost compells you to believe that he is going to be huge. I dont think that all the big names (Cappello, Wenger, Pedro) would throw their weight beind him if they didnt believe he would be a success!

  54. Thomas says:

Not saying we should not sign anyone, saying that we can still keep the team but improve in obvious areas. Experienced (and tall) centreback, left winger, keeper and midfielder.

We certainly need to give Cesc a rest and maybe utilise Diaby in the centre more (not as a defensive though).

  55. Finestcuts says:

I don’t believe in mollycoddling players, it’s not done at any other club and it shouldn’t be done at Arsenal. Theo either proves he’s fit for a regular starting place or he remains a bench player and is used to his appropriate level at the club. First team performances = first team slots, reserve performances = reserve slots, so no we don’t need to flog him, he’ll have a chance to prove his worth to the team.

  56. Pedro says:

Diaby is a funny old player, I wonder if Arsene bought him knowing he was more of an attacking midfielder? Or whether he bought him intending for him to become the new Paddy?

  57. Finestcuts says:

Yeah Pedro, he was bought as a Viera prototype meaning he is mean to be Fabergas’s protege, he shouldn’t be played out left if possible. Kieran Gibbs and Merida look better as Hleb understudies.

  58. Thomas says:

Right let me answer these points thrown at me:

    - Pedro: You don’t establish yourself over a month, otherwise you can say John O’Shea established himself when he nutmegged Figo and had a run of 3 awesome games. Theo will play more matches next year and make more of an impact but he is not the messiah and the answer to all of our prayers – to say we would have won the league if he had played is stupid – no-one was saying that when we were top of the league not so long ago.

    - Ollie: Again i agree i love it when Theo comes on and he does have an aura about him, but isn’t that expectation born out of potential? He will be a big player for us no doubt but he needs time because for every mad run where he skins 57 players he will counter balence that with bad control, poor decisions and poor shooting. He is getting better form a consistency point of view but not teh finished article by a long stretch.

  59. Finestcuts says:

The problem is, we’ve been short of winger backup, so those whp return from loan will be a Godsend to fill for those positions. We keep playing Diaby and Eboue out of position.
Same with Toure. Mr. Wenger, if you don’t trust Hoyte or Eboue who are RB’s to do the job while Sagna is out, we need a new RB cover. Toure isn’t suited to that position.

  60. Ollie says:

Thomas, i agree. Great player already, but as he is still a teenager, he has many years ahead of him, and can and will only get better and better…. what were we debating again? i think we are just saying the same thing in different ways!!

  61. Finestcuts says:

We have played games with 3 players out of position, it’s a dangerous combo. If possible, you should always replace a player specialist in that position rather than a good player out of position.

  62. Thomas says:

Finestcuts: Its not about mollycoddling, its about when he is ready to step up. What is the point of throwing someone who you know is not ready into the mix – keep playing them after 16 games of shit then watch their progress decline as confidence in own abilities decays with it. Theo has had plenty of opportunites to shine this season, sometimes he has and sometimes he hasn’t but thats about growing up as a player. Rushing him could ruin a player that could be stunning for us in 2-3 years time.

  63. Finestcuts says:

And tactical diversity,…if we’re goign to play a max stake gamble, why not play 4-3-3, that’s a true attacking formation, which can mutate to 4-5-1.

    Toure/Eboue, Senderos/Toure, Gallas, Clichy

    Fabregas, Gilberto, Hleb

    Walcott, Adebayor, RVP

With Walcott and RVP dipping back we have:

    Toure/Eboue, Senderos/Toure, Gallas, Clichy

    Walcott,Fabregas, Gilberto, Hleb, RVP

    Adebayor.

That would be a lethal team, youth world class and experience combined.

  64. Thomas says:

Finestcuts – How many of our players would you class as world class? and why?

  65. Finestcuts says:

    Thomas,

Fab, excellent all round attacking midfielder.
RVP, in his prime a quality striker
Hleb,, quality dribbler and all round good player.
    Clichy, top class left back
    Sagna, top class right back

  66. Finestcuts says:

    Eduardo, before he got injured.

Getting there – Kolo Toure, Flamini, Rosicky (before he got injured), Adebayor, Almunia
    Potential = Senderos

Gallas is good, but not world class, he isn’t a good leader for our defence, we need someone more level headed to look up to.

  67. Pedro says:

Thomas, that is a poor analogy.

Theo turned the game in Milan, then nearly turned the game at Anfield, he also turned the game at Birmingham.

He has a great aura around him because he is exciting on the ball, not because of expectation. No one is saying he is the Messiah.

How do you know whether a player is ready or not… unless you play them?

We’ve taken the same approach with Cesc, RvP and Adebayor… chuck them in at the deep end… the strongest will swim, the weak will sink. Hoyte can’t handle it, Senderos can’t handle it… but at the moment, Theo looks as if he is beginning to adapt to top level football.

Finestcuts, Gallas is world class… he has won the world cup and just about every domestic trophy going.

  68. BB says:

İ am hearing from more than one source a lot of dissent at the club .. it appears that certain players are far from happy with Arsene’ tactics..does any of your guys know more about this? .. if this is true, then it surely cant bode well for today!!

  69. Ollie says:

BB, what links are you looking at? i wouldnt mind checking them out

Pedro, I’m not one of Gallas’s fans, he brings disgrace to the club, and his defending has been poor recently, so his form has dropped big time.

  71. Pedro says:

That maybe so, but you can’t deny he is world class when he is on form.

  72. Thomas says:

Fair enough – not sure about RVP although i love the guy and he is capable of sublime pieces of individual skill his link up play is not the best and he is always injured. We need him to be fit next season because he is a massive player for us.

All the rest i think are excellent players – although i wish i could have a pound for everytime i have screamed at Hleb to shoot.

  73. Ollie says:

Liverpool 1… that man gerrard again!

  74. Finestcuts says:

Yup he has the history but he’s in the final stages of his career, and there are much better out there to fill his boots.

  75. ethan_gunner says:

Your all missing the point about Theo !
deal with what we can choose from today !!!
This isnt some magical mystery tour ! Where we can compare theo to kaka .
Because last time i looked we didnt sign Kaka . (but wenger will tell you he almost did ! )
We have to deal with what we have left in the tank ! TODAY ! SOON !

And if arsene continues to Under utilize him and keep playing eboue , or refusing to experience up front with differing combinations we will not progress .

We have had a whole season ! and who can honestly give me a straight answer who our striker duo is ???

One thing very apparent is Theo is playing with more finesse than anyone .
Yet wenger continues to give him limited minutes ..

  76. Thomas says:

Pdero – of course it was a poor analogy, it was as ridiculous as your statement that he has established himself over a timeframe of one month.

Theo HAS been played and thrown in at the deep and sometimes he has delivered and sometimes not – remember at the start of the when he came on or started? he was being slagged off on blogs, slagged off in media and everyone said he was a waste. Btu that’s all part of the growing process, Wenger knows the right time to unlease him and this season it has not been from the start in every match.

Theo will be encouraged by the last few months and sit down to assess his season and come back the better player. But to say he is an established 1st teamer now after afew stunning cameos is stupidity beyond belief.

  77. ethan_gunner says:

    experience= experiment

  78. Geoff says:

Thomas we all like him and think he’s great, you obviously don’t so lets not labour the point, we don’t argue on this site, we make our point then move on.

    Start another subject.

  79. BB says:

ollie .. yday .. there was a guy mentioning a fracas at the training ground btw Gallas and pat rice that is supposed to have occurred on friday.. then news of the world are running a story about senioplayers unhappy with Wenger
some internet sites are jumping on it as well
looks like there is no smoke without fire

  80. Geoff says:

Song is playing today, well well, I didn’t see if was instead of Gallas or Toure.

  81. Stupid says:

    FFFFSSSSSSS

song, eboue & fucking gilberto in the one team??????????

    WTF

    Man Utd vs Arsenal

Man Utd: Van der Sar, Brown, Ferdinand, Pique, Evra, Ronaldo, Carrick, Hargreaves, Scholes, Park, Rooney

Subs: Kuszczak, Anderson, Giggs, O’Shea, Tevez

Arsenal: Lehmann, Toure, Gallas, Song Billong, Clichy, Eboue, Fabregas, Silva, Hleb, Van Persie, Adebayor

Subs: Djourou, Fabianski, Bendtner, Justin Hoyte, Walcott

    Referee: Howard Webb (S Yorkshire)

  82. Abdenor says:

    Almunia

    Eboue–Toore–Gallas–Clychy
    ———-Gilberto
    Hleb– Fab–Song–RVP
    ——-Adebayor

    official line up

im keeping everything crossed for a win, we can do it!

  83. Stupid says:

he’s playing lemon, he is fucking playing lemon

he has lost it, big time, BIG time… i hope we get spanked.

  84. ethan_gunner says:

    Theo stupidity beyond belief.?

I agree geoff cant win dont try ..
But i will say theo’s has to be included today simply as we dont have enough options available to leave him out ..

If certain people (Thomas) haven’t worked out that our starting line up is shallow this week , due to flamini’s absence , and eboue possibly pushed back to a defensive role , it will give theo almost an automatic inclusion . So the question isnt how good he is .. its a matter of where will he play.

There is no game after this one for us possibly .. its important to get this starting 11 perfect ..

liverpoo just banged in a 2nd goal . So there breathing down our necks now .
If in a pipe dream world we can win today , theo must be included !!

Going on CURRENT FORM ! it would be ‘stupidity beyond belief ‘ to leave him out

  85. Finestcuts says:

All we need is a sharp RVP and Adebayor, those two can get us out of trouble.

  86. Abdenor says:

sorry was Lehmann in goal instead of Almunia

  87. Geoff says:

Ok he has him in midfield, but still no Theo, I’m beginning to agree with Theo’s comment, what’s he got to do do get a game.

Song is another one I’ve never rated, I hope he has a blinder and proves me wrong, this is the game to do it in.

  88. ethan_gunner says:

    stupid is that official ??

  89. Stupid says:

    yup offical line up

not sure what the fuck is going on… song at CB?

cos he will play eboue ( the next jairzinho lol ) at RM

  90. BB says:

did you see the team .. no senderos .. Song is in .. means the swiss is toasted .. he wont be staying .. theo benched as usual .. RVP is on .. apparently needed a special permit for his crutches..

  91. Stupid says:

sliva and fab in the middle therefore song must be CB, or RB

  92. BB says:

why does lehman play? whats up? did VanB asten bring Wenger a few dutch mushrooms over?

  93. Finestcuts says:

    And Lehmann in goal..,,,
I hope Eboue is not on for too long, we need Theo’s speed in this game, not a 5 man defence.

  94. Geoff says:

Everytime someone has a moan, they get played, like Gallas at the start of the season!

  95. Stupid says:

    manuel must be fawlty

not on the bench either…. what a pussy wenger is, its like watching your wife get fucked by your best mate and then going for a pint with him afterwards.

i despair, he really needs a long break this summer.

  96. Finestcuts says:

At least we have RVP and Adebayor, our game is based on our pivot today…

  97. Finestcuts says:

Lehmanns giving it the large one just before Manyoo, he’ll have to live up to it….

  98. Stupid says:

ok fuck this, no more negativity, oh how life coudl be so so different in 2.5 hours time.

good point, RVP and ADE play… theo will come on at some point, and they are missing vidic at the back.

    never say never.

  99. ethan_gunner says:

    I agree geoff
Playing one or 2 lucky games in the C.C is one thing !
playing V’s man U at home is another ..
Im starting to realize why i feared this game !

    Finestcuts

ade ? dont worry lads ill be giving you 1/2 half time POSSESSION LOST counts and offsides :)

    i brought my calculator !

  100. Thomas says:

Ok i back down – don’t want to start arguements. Just interesting to spar with passionate gooners. Theo subject is over…..

  101. Finestcuts says:

Our key 4 players against Manyoo = Adebayor, RVP, Fabregas, Lehmann

We’re heavily reliant on them having a top game.

  102. Stupid says:

i would have preferred Song in the middle with fab. and eboue at RB

but apparently wenger knows (fuck all)

  103. Finestcuts says:

RVP will be playing the line Ethan……but keep a score of Ad’es offsides and tell us after the match since you’re going to all the trouble.

  104. Finestcuts says:

With RVP playing the Van Basten role, Adebayor can do his job better, go in deep and be a nuisance to their defence.

  105. Finestcuts says:

All we need to do today is to try to maintain possesion and keep trying to pass it and feed it through to Ade and RVP.

  106. ethan_gunner says:

i would have thought i would have saw jens AFTER this game ..
    But today ????????????????
it seems wenger is living it large in Vegas !

Wot a fuckin game to gamble on !
i can see him as being hailed a Hero !
or bow-zo the clown after this game ..

Leaving Theo out is just plain stupid !
It only adds to my theory that his signing fee’s will go up the more starts he makes !
Im convinced of it ! wenger you tight ass !

  107. Geoff says:

Sparring’s good Thomas. let’s see if we can win this one. Shame about the Manc bias on the TV as usual.

  108. Finestcuts says:

This is Wenger’s lucky spin for the match….lets see if it works.

  109. ethan_gunner says:

    Finestcuts

I usually count for the 1st 25 minutes , and have done since December ..
its like a compulsive disorder now :)
I can handle hleb cesc making the odd screw up .. even ade..
but every god amm time !!!
fumbled pass – off side – straight out loosing possession .
I PRAY ( pointing upwards with 2 fingers) THAT ade DOESN’T fumble today !
I PRAY he passes to RVP when he can !
But more importantly i PRAY he SCORES!

Have you noticed he prays every time he goes onto the pitch ?!
WELL I AINT FUCKING WORKIN !

  110. Thomas says:

Good to see Song have a chance – did not rate him last year but he did have a brilliant ANC. The manc bias i don’t mind – takes the attention away from our lot, everyone expects us to get dicked so i don’t mind.

Get over the stupidity comment Ethan.

  111. Stupid says:

Song played in CM at the ACN.

  112. Geoff says:

Well he can’t be worse than big Phil can he??? Come on Arsenal!

  113. chris says:

so those who spoke up for song take note, your balls are on the line!!

    come on the gunners

  114. Geoff says:

75% posession and they still get all the free kicks, Song so far as bad a s Senderos.

  115. BB says:

adebayor is such a fukking useless waster ..

  116. Stupid says:

this is so painful, why can the rest of planet earth see how useless eboue is and wenger can’t

  117. Stupid says:

oh my… has our luck turned?

  118. Stupid says:

    nope, eboue plays on :(

  119. Stupid says:

    JUST FUCK OFF ADE

  120. BB says:

    can somebody shoot Adebayor??

  121. Stupid says:

fuck off wenger with the african prodigies, they are donkeys

  122. Stupid says:

how many would eduardo have put away already in this game?

oh how me miss a clinical striker, adebayor will NEVER eVER be that.

  123. BB says:

adebayor/Eboue/Toure .. you can shoot them all
    prodigies my arse

  124. Stupid says:

fucking fuming again, arsenal have ruined me over the last 3 months.

    same this time last year.

why oh fucking why does this always happen to us. he will persist with adebayor for another 3 seasons.

make no mistake, we are in for heartache for years to come.

  125. BB says:

does Adebayor know what his legs are doing??

  126. BB says:

    or his feet??

  127. Stupid says:

off the top of my head, i can recall..

the sitter in the opening minute against wigan, we droped 2 points

the slide rule pass to nikki b that would have made it 3-1 against brum

the sitter against pool the other night

the chances already today in 45 minutes of play at OT

there must be a hatful more.

this not racist, but these africans are superb athletes but have fuck all going on upstairs.

  128. ethan_gunner says:

hey ade played better than ive seen in a long time !
    NO offsides
4 turn overs in possession (but most are guilty of it this game)
    Pretty fast paced !

    2 shots on goal !
the cross bar needed to be the best part of 70 feet high before you would call it close but .. least its a shot from outside the 6 yard box !

Even with all this possession , i still feel they will ring punch us on the counter !

  129. Thomas says:

God how we need a nippy bang bang striker – Ade has spent too much time around a certain gallic prima donna in the way shapes up for every shot. I wish he would just put his foot through it and forget Theirry H.

  130. ethan_gunner says:

Take off song .. he almost cost us ..
let the former le chump slip back into RB toure for song and bring in

    THEO THEO THEO !!!

    60th minute !

Jens has distributed possession better than alumina !
    so far so good !

the save with the foot was more ass than class but ill take it !

Can any one of our strikers aim anywhere else other than straight at the opposing goalie ???

  131. Stupid says:

benzema, i am telling you with him in that side we would clean up.

he would break all goalscoring records to boot.

  132. BB says:

thomas .. the one you call a prima donna deserved to be a prima donna
    unlike the other dope smoker

  133. BB says:

lehman is better than almunia .. full stop

  134. Stupid says:

he has been tidy, i will give him that.

but not happy with his team spirit.

  135. Thomas says:

BB: True and i love him more than anyone, however when a player becomes (in his head) bigger than the club then he needs to go – in teh end he was doing more damage than good. But before i get a flood a of predictable tripe about how i want him dead and hate him and his family – i don’t.

Sometimes players out grow their teams – he did simple as that (and don’t worry i will never forget his contribution/records etc)

  136. Goona P says:

the problem is wenger it seems will persist playing adebayor/eboue/senderos so like someone said we are in for years of this pain?.. it is so frustarting watching us play now… i cant bear another season of this?

thierry, torres, rooney would have scored that chance adebayor had hes f##king useless!!!!!

why cant wenger just admit it & get rid of eboue & co…. every single person except wenger can see eboue is rubbish even commentators are slating him.. what is wrong with arsene wenger??????????????????????????

  137. Geoff says:

Thomas, quite right, ethan, I hear you, stupid, if only.

  138. jimmyfingers says:

Start of the game I don’t think I’ve ever felt more negative about our chances. Half-time and its dawned that we’re actually not that bad, and we haven’t really been that bad for the last few games, a few mistakes apart, just fucking unlucky. Still cannot fathom Eboue. He seems neither fish, nor fleshand you wonder damage Theo might have done in a half that for us was comfortable

  139. jimmyfingers says:

    ‘wonder what damage’

  140. Geoff says:

give him the ball, you know he’ll score!

  141. BB says:

this is RVP’ goal .. Adebayor can only score from 2 yards out

  142. jimmyfingers says:

    That’s a quality handball

  143. Stupid says:

    LOL

  144. Stupid says:

at the 5th attempt, his conversion rate is getting better.

  145. jimmyfingers says:

    karma in action

  146. Finestcuts says:

What did I say about the Ade-RVP combo? It works! We just need to stop em scoring now….

  147. BB says:

what a useless defence we got!!
    they are all so shiit

  148. Geoff says:

Great captain eh, I wonder if the team will camp out on the half way line at full time, fucking muppet Gallas.

  149. Finestcuts says:

Bloody hell. Lehmann has to go!

  150. Stupid says:

    EXTRODINARY

i promise you there is a HEX on this team

far far too many unlucky things, that was a pen no doubt

but if that ferdy incident happened to us it would have been a n OG for definate.

  151. Goona P says:

this team concede the most pathetic goals i think ive ever seen… why cant we keep a lead anymore?? why did gallas do that? never saw him do that for chelski!!

Get Jose in i wanna go bak to ‘boring boring arsenal’ & win a few games 1-0….. we never going to win the league or european cup if we cant hold on to a lead…

  152. Finestcuts says:

It’s gonna be tough to get 2 against em, Lehmann gave a bloody penalty away.

  153. Finestcuts says:

A 5 minute lead….a potential win squandered. Lets hope we have another goal in us today.

  154. Finestcuts says:

    Eboue is injured!

  155. Geoff says:

At least fucking move you useless German twat.

  156. Stupid says:

laughable, this team is just laughable.

so many mistakes, all roads lead to le boss.

make no mistake, he is to blame overall for this mess.

  157. Finestcuts says:

And that’s it ladies and gentlemen, the curtain closes for the season. The Lucky spin didn’t work….lets hope for better luck in our next games. And thank God we don’t have Eboue available anymore, the guy is a total moron. Gallas shouldn’t be immune to rotation either. Why did Lehmann have to backchat to the ref?

Those 3, Lehmann, Gallas and Eboue should not be involved for the rest of the season.

  158. Finestcuts says:

Now we have to try and scavenge a point at OT…

  159. Finestcuts says:

Oh pukka, lets weaken our attack and stick on Bendtner….

  160. Stupid says:

they should be shown the door

gallas is NO captain of this football club.

there should be an offical campaign started to oust him.

Cesc should be captain, a proper arsenal man, not a fake cunt blue who starts crying like my little niece when she don’t get her own way.

reckon clichy should bang hi mout now for the hypocrisy of the brum penalty debacle.

  161. Geoff says:

Add Senderos to the get rid of lot, and bring in a decent defence, we’ll beat anyone, the difference today has been the defence, it’s crap.

Oh and having no one that has a decent shot.

  162. Stupid says:

    heard hill wodds commments?

    even he knows the score

“if he wants money for a new striker of a centre back, he can have it ”

    lol

  163. Finestcuts says:

Yup, Huntelaar and bring Nordveit into the first team.

  164. Finestcuts says:

And look at Gallas today….that is bloody well not world class.

  165. Goona P says:

to be honest i feel relief its all over… last few weeks have been unbearable as a gooner & i dont see an end to it while wenger is in charge…..

If i was a Man Utd fan i cant see one player from arsenal side i wont have in my first XI… thats an awful thing to have to admit but im afraid its true…………..I look at their team and im jealous Rooney,Ronaldo,Evra,Carrick,Anderson,Rio,Vidic,Tevez…

Hargreaves was one of Fergusons ‘expensive’ summer signings & he has just won them the league!!!!!!!!! take note arsene ‘YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR’…………

  166. Finestcuts says:

Gallas should be sold, he should be traded in for a better defender or sold to Portsmouth, we can get better than him with a little on top of what we’d get for him.

  167. Stupid says:

    lol

now martin tyler taking the pi$$ out of wengers “only buying one”

we are a joke. a national joke

  168. Finestcuts says:

6 minutes, either we get 2 goals or bust..

  169. arab gooner says:

i wonder why can’t our supporters at the Emirates boycott the coming home games or show some banners like Wenger Out instead of Arsene knows and In Arsene we trust. This has become a joke .For how long we have to put up with this

  170. Stupid says:

    the saviour is on

    justin hoyte

  171. Geoff says:

    Oh no here comes Hoyte!

  172. Stupid says:

    3rd rate header.

  173. Finestcuts says:

Wahey…come on Justin, get us a goal!

  174. Geoff says:

Maybe you’re all right and Ade is shit.

  175. BB says:

that brazilian wanker cost us the game with his useless tackling today

  176. Finestcuts says:

Hopefully Adebayor will be given a rest. Maybe Bendtner woth RVP up front, Hoyre and Traore to start with song there…..we have nothing to lose, we’re guranteed champions league football, so we might as well test the players who we intend to keep and train for next season….can they really hack it? We have a clear problem in defence and on right wing.

Gallas should be stripped of the armband and dropped, more experiments need to be done at the back to determine who’s fit enough to stay there.

Nobody should be immune to rotation, and we’re in dire need of rotation at the moment.

  177. AN Steve says:

I can take losing when playing shit I can take the odd unlucky decsion but this is fucking ridiculas howev you spell it.

  178. BB says:

the 2 most important freekicks given away by Gil .. Galla/Kolo/Hoyte .. all out
bunch of losing cunts.. we are the laughing stock of Europe ..
i am not going to any games anymore this season

  179. BB says:

we are the better side .. thats the worst .. we are better .. but we need 2/3 players .. thats all .. but why stick with losers?

  180. AN Steve says:

difference Manur play shit and win arsenal play fucking great and get robbed who do we bring bendtner and hoyte fuckme!!!! who do they bring on world class players fucking hell Arsene you are pissing 10 people off who were with me today who used to be your biggest fans listen for fuck sake just fucking listen ( yes I am pissed mentally and physically) no more fucking excususes

  181. AN Steve says:

BB I feel you pain so I will for your sake have yet another scotch half a bottle today allready plus wine fucking hell I am so pissed off

  182. GMR says:

I don’t need to put my thoughts down really as I can just cut & paste from every comment I’ve made after recent games!!

We need new defenders, new wingers, a new striker & a top quality keeper!! No doubt though Arsene’s one player will be a central midfielder!!

At least now that we are closer to 4th spot than to the leaders the ‘Arsene Knows’ god squad have to shut the f*** up!!

I look forward to Arsene’s post match interview, no doubt it’s the refs fault for wearing the wrong boots or something!!

  183. alex says:

Disapointing. we had the possesion but everyone passed instead of going for goal.

Mad Jens was my man of the match.

Im stilled puzzled at the choice of Gallas to be captain. he had no positive influence today.

can things get anyworse then playing song at CB?????

    fuck.

  184. AN Steve says:

yes but let us all put this in perspective its better than last year and the world is happy that Manure are at the top and we are in our rightful place. Don’t worry Arsene you have a job for life and all your obscenely paid players are ok

Some one tell what serious shit has Ebou on Wenger for fucks sake!!

  185. Finestcuts says:

For the rest of the season Arsene is going to do a lot of soul searching, Reading will show us ow good/bad we are against lower end teams. They have the worst GD in the league, we must beat them, I fully expect we will despite todays setback. If we don’t beat Reading, then it’s a red alert. Withold judgement until after the Reading game, we weren’t expected to win, the form book was right….so we can’t be too disappointed…

  186. AN Steve says:

Thought Song looked ok but is that alchohol talking

  187. Gooner7 says:

Ethan has been pointing the weakness from the start of the season. Adebayor is just not good enough for Arsenal football club..End of

  188. Gooner7 says:

And Ethan is always right. Let’s laugh at the ACLF posters who still believe Ade is a worldclass striker….

  189. GMR says:

Well look on the bright side, last summer our players (Gilberto apart) had a nice summers break to recover from the season, this summer they don’t have that luxury as most of them will be away at the Euro’s meaning they’ll be even more tired next season.

Never mind though we all have our super new signing to look forward to, maybe he can play central defence, on the wing & as a striker all at the same time!!

  190. arsenaldo says:

And Ferguson has confirmed that he will be out to reinforce his side further when the transfer window reopens.

“I don’t need to spend, but I will,” he said.

AND Vengers philosofy- I HAVE TO SPEND, HAVE THE MONEY , BUT I WONT!!!

  191. BB says:

Etoo .. hattrick today with Ades chances
Hleb world world class..but nobody to play with
Song still shaky but hey this was MANu
WE PLAYED THESE CUNTS OFF THE PİTCH TODAY
    this really hurts
AND CLİCHY .. HE İS A HEROl
but Gil .. one bad unnecessary freekick each half.. one we got punished for
but we are better than them
fukk .. we need a top striker and not Justin Hoyte on the bench

  192. Mike (the neighbour) says:

There is no justice if general run of play counts -they did deserve more than than that Ade still has a problem when still receiving the ball in the center and I still dont understand why Eboue has to start and Theo substitute -AN Steve I have every sympathy with your 5.57 post but didnt think Song looked that effective

  193. alex says:

adebayor is better as a backup.

i honestly dont know why walcott isnt starting but now that the title is out of reach hopefully he will. and yeah GMR arsene will have some bs excuse about the refs while defending gallas and the defense.

piss poor to outclass man u all game then throw it away at two set pieces, when honestly without them we might have held them

  194. arsenaldo says:

Etoo, Benzema, Tores, even out of form would score hattrick with Ades chances…..

  195. Mike (the neighbour) says:

I think there will be pressure on Arsene to spend -this “trust me Im a doctor ” philosophy can only last for so long -arsenaldo

  196. arsenaldo says:

Sorry -out of form Henry I meant

  197. Wong meng says:

The MU game has just concluded.Walcott was expected to have an impact but suffice to say he had a satisfactory account. I think with more games he will improve and arsenal need to display ruthlessness in front of goal.
for starters cut out the pretty soccer syndrome. AW has to know he is in the business of winning trophies not entertaining . if he can play entertaining soccer and win it will be a bonus.if not go direct and play to win.
he has been a manager for the last ten years so he shd know what is expected of him. As mourino said he has no pressure. I’m sure the board are adopting a wait and see attitude. If things stand as they are ,things will come to ahead, believe me. The fans will be deserting ES and that’s when the truth sinks in though not yet at the moment.

  198. Mike (the neighbour) says:

oh and by the way someones gonna have to explain this handball crap to me cos there is so much inconsistency -even though the body of gallas was leaning towards the ball he was raising his arm to avoid it

  199. GMR says:

Mike, I disagree with you there won’t be any pressure on Arsene to spend because the board are happy that he doesn’t use any money & at least half our supposed supporters are actually Arsene fans so he’ll be allowed to carry on forever with these absurd transfer dealings.

Just ask yourself who’s happier tonight, Man Utd’s players & fans for winning despite being outplayed or Arsenal’s players & fans for playing some good football but losing again?? I want to see winning football, not pretty football!!

  200. Big Raddy says:

I felt we were so unlucky today. We were the better team once again, but with no real power upfront, we were never going to win it. And once MU went ahead, we were bolloxed

    Clichy was my M O T M – he was outstanding.

  201. Big Raddy says:

Mike – I agree, I thought handball was when the hand is deliberately brought into contact with the ball. This was not the case with Gallas who was trying to get his arm out of the way.

But of course this was at OT, & in front of the Stretford End

  202. Paulinho says:

What do people expect Gallas to do? Because he is captain put a superman cape on and and fly arounf intercepting balls? The guy has done a great job, scored vital goals which helped propell us to this position.

It’s not his fault Clichy turned into Stevie Wonder at Birmingham and Wenger refused to strengthen the squad. He has a new centre back partner every week for christs sake.

  203. Gooner7 says:

Guys…my friend is a shrink..he’s a leeds supporter…irrevelant, but getting to the point…he says that Arsene’s body language doesn’t send the right signals to his players..there’s always that frustrated (always in anticipation of danger) thats killing the players confidence…Man united players see their boss, and they get instant confidence in their ability and their performance as he isn’t frowning to show millions wrinkles…

  204. AN Steve says:

Clichy Man of the match and Ades first touch once again kills the move .. remember Henry, Pires, Berkamp even wiltords first touch brought it under control and did not ping it to whoever is in the vicinity, usaully an oponent

  205. AN Steve says:

opponent ….I am so out of today

  206. Mike (the neighbour) says:

Thanks Big Raddy -I thought I was going fuckin mad

  207. Goona P says:

Like ive said before im a silver member who lives in brighton when i go to emirtaes with my girlfriend costs between £150-£200… (tickets, travel, food… etc)

I would happily pay that to watch Rooney Ronaldo Tevez week in week out….

Im not paying it anymore to watch eboue, adebayor, hleb, senderos etc………… I dont understand how wenger did not feel the need to replace the quality of Bergkamp, Vieira, Pires, Thierry?????????? i dont know whether he knows what a good player is anymore

He is f##king deluded? main focus is to keep squad together? are u mad…….. this team has failed every single big test they have had……..

Whats wrong with arsenal board? why are they accepting a manager that blames everything on ref & luck!! Are they as dumb as wenger???
Arsenal are being laughed at right now…….. Give 70million to Jose Mourinho we would be champions this time next year!!!! ffs………..

  208. John says:

    Were shit…enough said !!!

  209. Finestcuts says:

We’ll be sorted by next season, people will have us down for fifth again…

  210. BB says:

goona .. Hleb played everybody else off the pitch today
    Ronaldo was garbage
we dont have a decent goals scorer..Ade is very very average
    he cant shoot
    cant pass
    cant control
    cant do anything
    thats where the buck stops
also our defence is a confidence thing
    obviously wenger doesnt inspire anymore
    big question here is
with the resources this club has available now, can any manager really do worse than this?? provided that we do have the resources, then we must achieve as a mimimum top 3 plus 1/4 CL .. so whats Wenger’s input worth these days?

  211. terry says:

Proud of the lads today with a couple signing in the summer we could drive on next season and win it

  212. SIMON MCAHON says:

    First things first ,
Gallas is an arrogant overated areshole ,This Great Club Has Past captains i can remember that i’ve seen play, with pride
like Frankie MAC, TONE, . Paddy,
GALLAS YOUR’E NEVER FIT TO BE IN THAT CATEGORY.Fuck off back to west london.
    EBOUE, just Fuck off ,
I would sign a keeper , Play TOURE(IF HE CAN GET HIS FORM BACK, Find ANOTHER C/B, although song did ok today, SAGNA , CLICHY, EXCELLENT FULL BACKS
Cesc ,of course Flamster , WENGER PAY HIM WHAT HE WANTS…..
    TWO WIDE PLAYERS ,
    WALCOTT, AND A TOP STRIKER,

WENGER HAS SAID THAT HE WILL SIGN ONE (YES THATS RIGHT ,ONE EXPIERENCE PLAYER) THIS PLAYER MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI TASK .
SO I HAVE HEARD FROM A MOLE THAT ALL HIS SCOUTS HAVE BEEN SENT AROUND THE WORLD TO FIND THIS PLAYER.
I have an exclusive for le grove ,
This player has sign a five year deal and will sign in july,
    A little background research I have ,
THIS PLAYER HAS BEEN PLAYING IN THE ISRAEILI PREMIER LEAGUE , FOR JERUSALEM OLD BOYS, WAS OUT FOR A TIME BUT CAME BACK AT THE END OF MARCH , HE’S QUICK , TWO FOOTED AND GREAT IN THE AIR, HE WEARS S THE NO 2 SHIRT .
HE HAS A GREAT FAMILY BACKGROUND , HIS NAME ……………………….
    …………..
    JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ONE PLAYER, WENGER YOUR’E TAKING THE PISS OUT OF ALL US GOONERS ….

  213. Michae; says:

We played outstandingly well today, Clichy magnificent, If we had a natural finisher on the pitch today we probably would have won. Unlucky yes but we are also masters of our own downfalls and the fact we have won just 2 of our last 11 games at the most crucial time of the season speaks volumes for the lack of strength in depth we have at the club, Just one player Arsene? Make that 3 or 4 or even more if Flamini, Gliberto, Jens and Hleb depart.

  214. terry says:

Clichy was outstanding today never gave up my man of the match

  215. Goona P says:

How many games has Hleb won us this year?? i can remember Fulham at home.. other than that? How many goals has Hleb got this year?

Okay u say Hleb played everyone off park today… how many goals did he score compared to Ronaldo today?? no end product thats the bottom line…

I think Hleb is a good footballer but Robert Pires was a GREAT footballer!!
Our team today consists of one great player Cesc Fabregas….

If you look at Utd bench today Giggs, Anderson & Tevez they would all walk into the starting Arsenal XI if i was manager……

    Tevez is better than Adebayor
Anderson is better than all our midfileders bar Cesc
& Giggs would get in just because we dont even have ONE natural wide player in entire squad!!!!! ridiculous

  216. BB says:

goona .. Hleb has got nobody upfront to play with .. he aint no goals scorer.. İ would agree
but he was everywhere.. how many great balls did he play 2day?
we shoıuld have fukking strikers upfront, not spineless legless cunts..
our problem is the forward line and the back line
    thats it
midfield we are fine unless flam leaves
Tevez is not that good nor is Anderson
we played them off the pitch meaning that our midfield dominated
what lacks is defensive aptitude and forward skills

  217. Paulinho says:

Hleb is a genius. Him and Berbatov would do the Flamengo with each other up front if we signed the Bulgarian.

  218. Gooner7 says:

If a 30 million pound bid comes for Hleb, sell him…

Sign Lúcio, Benzema, and Ben Arfa…End of

  219. ethan_gunner says:

    well thanks gooner 7 !
No cant be bothered stressing myself out over the deadwood of ACLF!
they are the biggest amount of delusional arsene’s knows freaks
in a concentrated area on the planet !, you need to have a Lobotomy of the brain before conversing with them ! well 1979 blogs there ! and he’s well received !

    I rest my case :) !

but i wish i wasnt right again today..
    Ade’s a fukin useless bumm !

    Finestcuts
    the ade RVP worked??
how do you figure that one out !

Ade is good in the air ! he’s great from a corner (or set play even) ill give him that .but outside the 6 yard box forget it . Also i never saw them have any interplay ONCE !
and unfortunately we dont have 40 corners a match !
So it should have been RVP and THEO !
    Wengers just an idiot !

Geoff i always thought Man U had 2 goals in them ..
cant really blame the defense . Maybe the old legs of a defensive midfielder
or an unlucky hand of gallas ..

We just needed to score more , and we have several chances just bad touch
infront of goal on this occasion ! (and the last 12 EPL games prior)

I wish the use of handball in the box was a little bit more forgiving , or used common sense, i mean he didnt obstruct a goal chance . He didnt do it on purpose .. If it did get thru Man U would have been offside ! I dont want to sound like a little whining cry baby , but the ref’ing again was total bollocks.

Eboue, like him or hate him had be taken down at least 2 times and yellows should have been handed out , and RVP’s 1st challenge and he gets one straight away ..

We are in trouble with the FA now over 60 yellows booked !

If arsene doesn’t spend some cash after this and get some friggin fresh faces in next season , he only has himself to blame !

My only question is can we beat reading ?

did arsene say we needed 1 draw 1 lose and 4 wins ??

  220. BB says:

paulinho .. totally agreed.. the fact is the forward that would most suit us is prob Berbatov..
i had my days with hleb .. but hats off today .. he played phenomenal football
no forwards ..no goals .. no interplay .. Ade is a useless 2 yards player

  221. Goona P says:

Im not blaming Hleb i appreciate he is one of our better players its just i still think he doesnt do enough… he doesnt win u games, if the players around you are not good enough then make sumthin happen yourself!!!??

Hargreaves won the game for Utd today, nobody in current team steps up and wins games…. Pires used to do it Henry used to do it Bergkamp used to do it….

Im tired now gonna have few drinks & pray for a miracle this summer….. (yeah right)

Bottom line is our team is not good enough!! The sooner someone with any balls at Arsenal Football Club realises that the better… 1 player aint gonna do f##k all….

If the fans can see that then why cant the Arsenal board??????????????????

  222. GoonerC says:

So many arsenal fans are just being silly! Who is this guy telling us to bring in ben arfa lucio and Benzema and sell hleb? I can understand benzema, but not lucio or ben arfa, he has 7 goals in 57 for lyon who run away with the french league every year. Can you tell me how getting him and losing hleb would help the team? Hleb was unreal today. Wenger will buy 2 experienced players, im guessing a centre half and a wide man. I reckon we should break the bank for micah richards, although im sure wenger wont do that. Otherwise im a big fan of van der vaart, or diego from bremen. We dont need a massive overhaul, this team will be together for the third year next year, and will have learnt massively from this experience this year.

  223. Michael says:

I think Adebayor gets unfairly criticised. He’s our top scorer and without his goals this season we’d be battling Everton for 4th place. Yes he misses lots of chances but he’s never a natural goalscorer, he needs to play with an Eduardo type player and unfortunatly he’s injured and Wenger persists in playing him up on his own week in and week out. As for Hleb, he’s a great technicion and can make things happen, to me he’s not the one who’s meant to be the replacement for Pires, thats Rosicky and he’s been out for most of the season.

  224. Gooner7 says:

Yep, we need to spoonfeed the fucker to score…(Like Theo at Anfield, and Rio ferdinand this week)

  225. Gooner7 says:

    @GoonerC,

I didn’t criticize Hleb. I didn’t say Ben Arfa could replace him. I’m just saying 30 million pounds is a lot of money, and would help our Arrogant old man to get few quality players in. These three players are real quality. And oh, Hleb loves ice cream, then he’d better pack.. We need loyal players who are also match winners. (Hleb unfortunately isn’t one)

  226. BB says:

goonerC.. spot on .. watched Lucio against Getafe .. mate .. did he fuck up again!!
he costs Bayern on average 5 golas a season at least
thanks for giving me the ups on Hleb today .. he played totally unreal
fact is though Ade is not top class..
dont agree with you on Van der Vaart .. but Diego is class.. just wonder what we would do with Cesc if we bought Diego as he plays very central too

  227. arsenaldo says:

“We played with quality and spirit, and I’m very proud of our performance. What can you do?

“We had plenty of chances and we were really unlucky not to win.”

    Thats Wengers coments-blindness:((
CUT the Crap Wenger-we know what to do but you dont listen to us. Luck just isnt the word -resourses is the right one!!!

  228. Gooner7 says:

    Fact is 12 years – 0 champions league/European cup

And he’s a top manager!? LOL

  229. BB says:

gooner7.. how do you know that Hleb is not loyal
    he played like possessed today
remember when he had a go at toure .. now i think that there is a little mafia at the club
pretty sure hleb aint part of it.. but toure reacted like the big guy you shouldnt fukk with
strange ..i think that cesc/hleb/flam are the drivers ..not the african contingent
but me thinks that the african contingent with a few of the frenchies are the issues right now .. see gallas

  230. Michael says:

Adebayor might need to be spoonfed, but he’s not an Henry and gonna take the ball from the halfway line and make something happen, but at least he’s getting into positions to score even though he missed his fair share.

  231. BB says:

michael .. how can you defend Ade today..same at the Pool.. everytime he has to do something a little bit more challenging he fukks it up

  232. Goona P says:

How many years premiership experience has Hargreaves, Vidic & Anderson had??… correct me if im wrong but they are about to become English Premiership Champions in their first season??

A team like ‘the Arsenal’ is not a training ground for young players to develop?? If your a gooner & your happy with that then i dont understand you…………

Im fed up with with losing & then trying to find a postitive in it by saying they will have learned from it???????? how about learning to win ugly or to hold on to 1-0 lead…

We moved to the Emriates to compete with biggest teams in world… How many of other biggest teams in world has gone 3/4 years without a major trophy?????

ps. dont count FA Cup as major trophey pompey or cardiff are gonna win it this year ffs….

  233. Gooner7 says:

Fact is, Wenger acts like the boss/owner of the club. No one’s there to question or drive him…he has no mentality to bring in European glory (the competition for which we try to finish top four every season). He keeps harping about Arsenal being a top club, but he’s exploiting it completely…Now he has an inflated Ego to accept his mistakes..he alaways covers his ass up…before a UCL quarter final tie, ask him about it..he says, we’re still in the league..and talks up the title challenge…I think he isn’t good enough for major European honours..Remember..Champions league gives u a global royalty than EPL…If Arsenal are ot be called a “big club”, they need to win the UCL, period…

  234. ethan_gunner says:

    Michael
He’s our top scorer and without his goals this season we’d be battling Everton for 4th place.

aint seen so many goals from him in the past 12 matches mate !
i think that is his 1st in 11 games in the EPL !
and besides 11 games scoreless ! Im sure if someone else was given a chance they would have scored over 30 goals by now !

you can thank wenger for that .going into the season with immature strikers !

And Micheal… we’d be battling Everton for 4th place?.

drop 2 more games (5 more points) mate and your wish will come true !

  235. Gooner7 says:

    Yep, 4 fucking seasons!

Offloading Sol campell, Viera, Henry, Pires, Ljuenberg, and almost whole of “the invincibles” (who also haven’t won the UCL FFS)..replacing with novice, and amatuer footballers when we needed top class professionals..

  236. Michael says:

Im just sympathetic towards Adebayor because he’s not a natural finisher, thats not his fault, at Monaco he had a record of a goal every 4 games, he’s being asked to play on his own up front. Only special players like Henry or an Etoo can do that, he needs a player up with him and unfortunatly at the moment we dont have that, but I would like to see Walcott play up alongside him for the remainder of the season.

  237. Gooner7 says:

By the way, I’d take Bendtner over Adebayor…He’s a considerable talent to be reckoned with…He’s just 20, and strikers reach their peak at about 23-29. He’s already been likened to great danes of the past…that speaks about his potential..

  238. BB says:

gooner7.. i agree with you. me reckons he fukks himself up by playing in every game 2/3 players that are not good enough..why he does that .. i dont know
even today..for fukk sake he throws song in a game that is season determining as a centreback on top .. the boy must have been shell shocked
    yet he did reasonably well
can you imagine the pressure he puts him under?

  239. BB says:

ethan .. well said .. better watch our backside these days..one never knows

  240. Evo in OZ says:

Bendtner all the way for me!

  241. Paulinho says:

Hleb is the main reason- along with fab- that we got to place like Anfield and old Trafford and make them look like mugs for long spells. His selflessness is annoying but that wouldn’t be a problem if we didn’t have muppets like Adebayor and Eboue cumin in their pants as soon as they see the goal.

There is a mental imbalance in this side. The composed, methodical players like Hleb and Fab and then the over-excitable Africans who tend to get brain farts. That’s why our philosophy gets mangled and looks naive.

  242. BB says:

michael.. dont give a fukk about ade.. he is so full of himself
arsenal needs the best .. the rest i dont care about

  243. BB says:

paulinho ..eboue doesnt look excited to me . more like a complete moron

  244. Gooner7 says:

I’ve heard united fans rueing about Rossi (who’s brilliant for Villareal by the way)… And I reckon Bendtner would end up becoming a better striker than Rossi and certianly Adebayor…

  245. ethan_gunner says:

    gooner 7

I feel sorry for the fans who pay 60 squid a ticket to line up for hours to see 2nd rate crap ! The most expensive ticket in the EPL .. And the most frustrating one ..

Wenger has a lot to answer for ! and his statements of 1 more player bought
when at least 3 or 4 are leaving (bert, jens, senderos, flamini?) is just pathetic !

the board will need to lower the price to a reserves match level shortly with all the quality we have !

  246. SIMON MCAHON says:

Well said GOONA P AND GOONER 7 , SPOT ON GOONER C read whats being said and stop being brainwashed with WENGER SOUND BITES,
LOSING LIKE WINNING BECOMES A HABIT AND WHEN WE LOOSE IT MAKES ALL OF US FEEL SHIT,
WENGER IS QUICKLY DEVELOPING A LOSING HABIT, and he’s is the architect of this failure with persisting with mediocre players the facts dont lie,
I want to see arsenal winning second or third for me is not good enough, PITY WENGER DOES NOT FEEL THE SAME ….

  247. BB says:

Bendtner is NOT a solution for us yet.. he needs many more games..we need a world class striker..no fukking Dane..play Theo and a new super striker .. then we talk

  248. Gooner7 says:

SImon, Add to it the fact that he doesn’t treat “winning” as everything, and use the excuse of “good football”…RVP mirrored that recently..what a sick mentality to pass on to younger players..

but like Ethan said, the ticket price (and the snack), and especially for fans like me (who works in Asia) who fly all the way to North london for key fixtures..We don’t want these headless Eboue, or less than reliable kolo toure to play and fuck up….we need quality and professional players…not Arsene’s saturday experiments…

  249. Gooner7 says:

    BB,

“Bendtner is NOT a solution for us yet.. he needs many more games..we need a world class striker..no fukking Dane..play Theo and a new super striker .. then we talk”

    Completely Agree…

Get Eto’o or Benzema…But trust me, it’d never happen with Arsene wenger..

  250. Michael says:

I think we are probably safe for Champions league football next season so maybe Wenger can experiment a little for the rest of the season, id like to see Diaby in central mid, Walcott up front, stick Eboue back to right back and give Bentdner a shot up top, and even try Traore left wing and maybe give a run out to players like Barazite and Lansbury and Fabianski. Its time for the boss to start planning for next season.

  251. Stupid says:

thing is, before toure phucked off to the ACN, gallas and him had a superb understanding at the back.

    AFRICA has done us.

Suddenley, ade score some goals and thinks he is better than henry/eto/wrighty/shearer/kaka/maradona all rolled into one.

i detest adebayor with a passion, i really do.

the way he never celebrates a goal scored by anybody else but him tells you all you need to know about this disgusting 3rd rate andy cole.

  252. Mike (the neighbour) says:

When youve had something in your grasp and let it slip away -the manager is gonna take some reflective crap -you know it wasnt just “Bad luck “all I hope is that they finally decide to strengthen the team with some added experience to give them more depth -its gotta happen

  253. Gooner7 says:

I fear that next season (Around this time) we’d be ruing about Quaresma doing brilliantly for the club that he signs for (like Ribery for Bayern munich). And Arsene knows brigade will still lick ass…

  254. Stupid says:

    ffs cmon geoff/pedro

    some moderarion required here

    you are a moron bob.

  255. Mike (the neighbour) says:

yeah Stupid I think this Legend in his own mind mentality needs to stop for Ade

  256. Paulinho says:

Noticed that about Ade. He doesn’t give a shit when someone else scores. Could also say the same about Van Persie as well.

  257. Gooner7 says:

I tell you what. “2002-2003″ was bad luck..missing out on UCL 2003-2004 was…but that’s it…We were deservedly beated by Barca in the final…and we’ve been feeding young kids in name of a “new policy”, and with less ambitious fans priding about the overrated philosophy of AW..

  258. Gooner7 says:

“Legend in his own mind mentality needs to stop for Ade”

Yep, and that’s true about Arsene wenger as well…

  259. Stupid says:

this is quite possibily the most gutting season i have ever felt.

so much promise, so fucking little to show for it.

  260. Mike (the neighbour) says:

gooner 7 -agreed you know when the buck stops with you whos gonna tell you youre being a “C*nt” maybe thats needed but whose gonna do it -if the Board are happy with the status quo as to attendance and high ticket prices -Most fans wont opt out as were all hookers and will come back for more

  261. Big Raddy says:

I can’t understand some of the comments today. The guys did us proud. Yeah…. we lost. But we lost to two set plays,. Look at who they had on the pitch. Look at how much their tem cost. And know that MU fluked it. They were backs to the wall for the last 10 minutes. Had Van de Saar not palmed a shot onto the post, we would have been 2-1 up, not them.

In Clichy, Hleb, and Cesc, we had the best players.

RvP continues to disappoint. He did FA today. Tries hard, but never got into a goal scoring position.

Not happy with the result, but proud of the way we played

  262. Big Raddy says:

And who the hell would you guys replace Wenger with?

  263. seb says:

bob you twat, get a grip

  264. Big Raddy says:

And to those who moan about the price of going to the Emirates. You have a fucking CHOICE.

If winning is everything. Fuck off to the Bridge

  265. Paulinho says:

Even though Gilberto has annoyed me throughout his Arsenal career, I really felt for him today. For me he has played quite well in the last few games and played like a man with Arsenal in his veins. Gilberto. I love you man.

  266. Gooner7 says:

Guys, It’s natural to get pissed about the season when fans travel half the world to see them play AND compete in a COMPETITION…something’s wrong with people who don’t have higher ambition for their club…we waited four fucking seasons…4 years!!!

  267. Mike (the neighbour) says:

yeah -I aggree with you Big Raddy -WEnger shouldnt be removed however you get the impression he presses on regardless -he mentors the players but who mentors Arsene -sometimes being challenged and having an open mind strengthens judgement -Dictatorships end up with the Mugabe syndrome Maybe Arsene gets mentored but I dont know who from

  268. seb says:

its a fair point mike, cant really see pat rice shouting wenger down on anything

  269. Mike (the neighbour) says:

yepp and anyone wanting to sell next years club level season ticket at face value -i’ll go for it

  270. Stupid says:

    well said paulinho.

  271. SIMON MCAHON says:

BIG RADDY, WE ALL ARE TRYING TO TELL YOU ITS ABOUT WINNING, FUCK BIENG UNLUCKY, BOTTOM LINE IS THIS STARTED LAST YEAR WITH THE CHAV’S IN THE FINAL AND HAS CARRIED ON THIS TERM, WE DONT GET OUR MONEY BACK ,OR A REDUCTION NEXT YEAR ,PEOPLE PAY TOP WACK TO SEE THIS TEAM PLAY EVRY WEEK ,YES TODAY THEY TRIED EXTREMELLY HARD, BUT THEY OWED US THAT AFTER THAT PATHETIC EFFORT THE LAST TIME THEY PLAYED THERE ,
AND WHO KNOWS MAYBE BIG TONE WOULD BE A CANDIDATE TO REPLACE WENGER,
remember when graham got the job he was a new young manger ..
one thing though Big Tone would definatly be in touch with how us fans feel , and would feel the pain we feel when we loose,
AND YES BOB YOUR’E A TWAT!!!!!!!!

  272. Stupid says:

i’m sure wenger feels the pain, he is an arsenal man.

  273. Michael says:

Our defense is our achilles heel so if we could nick Tony Adams off Portsmouth (i think his contract is due to run out) and employ him as defensive coach / 1st team coach that could be a massive step forward. Fuck it, lets get Seaman, Dixon and Winterburn in aswell.

  274. Big Raddy says:

Of course you are right Mike. But Wenger answers to the board and if they are unhappy with him, he will go. Obviously the Board support his youth policy.

As to the argument that the Board are only interested in money – I say ‘bollocks’. They are all extremely wealthy men, and are in it for the kudos of being Directors of a WINNING, succesful team.

Hill -Wood has repeatedly said in the press, that there is money to support Wenger. I think that it is a discreet message o Wenger that the Board want him to sign a name player, and that they too believe the squad is too thin.

We shall see in summer. I am not the only one who believes Wenger is putting up a smokescreen re: signing only one player

  275. Pedro says:

    Evening Grovers!.

Sorry about Bob… but he has been binned… I’ve been out.

Apologies for anyone caught up in moderation, your comments are now released!

I’d love to jump in and get involved, but I’d spoil tomorrows match review!

Its going to be a good’un and the rumour is… a brand new page will be introduced tomorrow!

    It’ll hopefully make you laugh!

    Happy blogging!

  276. Stupid says:

might aswell, bouldie is already doing a decent job with the youngsters.

  277. Finestcuts says:

We’ll get a finisher, thats the one player Wenger is going to buy. As mentioned earlier, we’re still creating chances, it’s just that we don’t have a sniper to finish the job off. Ade is not a first striker, never has been and never will be so lets forget any Drogba comparisons, he’ll never be a number one.

I remember Wenger talking about Nordveit saying he was ready for the PL technically but not physically. With Arsenal’s training programme, the boy should have the muscle to handle things by now.

Reading and Derby are two massive games for us now, we need to win them both to guarantee 3rd place.

Entering a Manyoo with hardly any wins under our belt was the wrong time to play them for us. Our next four fixtures we’d normally expect 12 points from, but I’m hoping for at least six, when Wenger can make his final assessment of this season.

It’s obviously not as it could be, buty the problem wasn’t today, it\s been a whole host of matches. We don’t deserve the title, thats the way it is at the moment, you can’t go for two months with relegation quality form and still claim for the title. Arsenal have had two months of chances, but as Ferguson said earlier…..when your best team isn’t available, you struggle. He knows about that himself with title struggles that he had. I remember a few years back when Manyoo fans were calling for his head and saying his day was done, and since then he’s won the title.

We’re going to be dark horse contenders for the title again next year, we’ve done it once and we’ll do it again.

  278. Gooner7 says:

Ethan pointed out the adamant complacency on Wenger’s part every week. That sums up the reasons for the team loosing so many points when it REALLY MATTERS! Wenger has made fatal mistakes, and fails to boos the confidence of the players, fails to instill the “winning mentality” into the plaeyers…fails to get the best out of Adebayor’s poor finishing…fails to blast for the missed chances…he has made big mistakes..so, I’m secretly glad that the media is being unkind, and took cheapshots…

  279. Mark C says:

OK so our season is over.

It has not been as bad as some are making out, but we have not won a trophey again.

We have come on a lot this season and done well without Henry.

Well done to Sagna, Flamini and Clichy, our players of the season, all coming on leaps and bounds. Lets hope you all stay and make it in Euro 2008.

But lets be clear we need a few players to leave and a few more to come in.

Eboue, Hoyte, Gilberto, Adebayor, Lehman, it has been fun but off you go, you either are not good enough or you are passed your best.

So we need a big beast of a Center Half. Strong, powerful, a person with speed and strength, someone who can dominate our box and attack the ball at set pieces.

We need some width. Yes Walcott looks good, there is talk of Vela coming into the squad and there are some young players who could add some depth to the squad.

Do we need a forward? YES, YES, YES. Adebayor has to go. He keeps missing simple chances, and he adds pressume to the team when he misses. If he takes his share of chances we would be wining game but much more, and turn draws into wins. Who we need I dont know, but I am sure Wenger does know.

I think we need a keeper, unless Wenger thinks Fabinaski can do the job.

As fans we need to know where will Denilson, Song and Diaby be playing next season. How can they add to the team?

Wenger there are many questions for you to solve this Summer. Lets get some of the young players out there now and give them a go.

  280. Stupid says:

Chairman Peter Hill-Wood said: “We will meet with Arsene in a very casual atmosphere and it will be on the lines of, ‘How did you see the season? Do you want another striker or centre-back?’ “The money is there if he wants it. The club have never turned down any single request he has made about buying a player.”

    —————

    subliminal message there from PH-W

  281. lester says:

You will not improve if you dont learn from your own mistakes. Yet knowing stubborn arsene wenger, he’ll never even think he is wrong. He is too philosophical most of the time, while expecting all others to follow the same standards and values which he has.
No wonder others calls him a whiner.
So the season despite its bright start is totally wasted in terms of winning trophies. The record books probably say of the club performance as having “played most beautiful football in the world, BUT win totally nothing.” And this is 3 years in a row, totally unacceptable for a club of arsenal’s stature. Beautiful football win you nothing unless you score. It will go down in history that this arsenal team is the joke of the season, as the greatest under-achievers in view of their potential. But the truth is this: you dont score, then you dont win; dont espect your opponents to help you do your job. Also not forgetting what has been bellowed in recent past, that one wins nothing with young kids. How prophetic that has turned out to be. Maybe arsene wenger is blinded by his own fantasy of perfect football, … but without excellent players? (Remember even holland’s total football team did not win them the world cup). This is totally not possible especially if when you have in the team some defenders and players whose legs seem made of wood, and a forward who has no clue how not to be caught offside -despite the years of playing football. And how can a team have good atmosphere when the two keepers are fighting one another, and also openly at that?

Arsene should learn from the red nose. You pay for quality always; that makes sense. The red nose would really fight until he gets what he wants to win the championships. Just see how he went after hargreaves – who put the nail to arsenal’s coffin for this season, unfortunately. No reward for guessing, but manure is now challenging the CL, league title, etc… hear after year. But Arsene? he would probably be so gentleman and shy off competition, especially if the price tag is “too high”. Hello sir, nothing is exactly free or always on the cheap. Might as well be coach of a youth team. Then again, how sure are you that his youths will all turn out as top quality? On the contrary, look at eboue, senderos, ade. Championship material? You know the answer already.

  282. Pedro says:

No slagging your own on Le Grove chaps.

Update: I’ve been looking at earler comments… some of them would have been binned, sorry I missed them. Normal service resumes as of now.

  283. Big Raddy says:

While I am ‘on one’. You guys must have forgotten what it was like pre-Wenger. We watched shite. And all the Clock End season ticket holders (of whom I was one) were well pissed off with it.

To read that winning is everything truly pisses me off. Try watching a midfield of Selley, Jensen, Morrow etc. All of whom won silverware , and then tell me we are worse off today, just because we have gone 3 years.

Or do you think that it is better to be a Spurs fan,and say we won a Cup in 2008?

  284. jimmyfingers says:

Big Raddy knows it: we looked like the home team for most of the game. But we failed to capitalise on our oppurtunities then got stung by a sucker punch. The penalty was fair because Ade used his arm to score ours, but we should have been ahead at half-time anyway, probably really two goals to the good

Bottom line we more than competed at Old trafford with the soon to be crowned champions, so maybe we aren’t actually doing to much wrong. What we are doing wrong is glaringly obvious and have been done to death on this blog so I fear to repeat them. As Geoff says the defense needs serious work. Senderos probably needs to be jetisoned and the pairing of Toure and Gallas seems a little lightweight: all pace and flash but not enough grit and height. Is Almunia good enough between the sticks? Not sure. All that said we have IMO the two finest fullbacks in the league, Clichy was fucking incredible today

Balance balance balance! The midfield needs to be properly organised. We proper wide men, not Eboue or Diaby or Eduardo or however else Wenger wants to stick out there.

I’m not part of the anti-Ade brigade, and think he should play, but he can be improved upon. Buy a top class striker and we would have been home free today.

Again we’ve played well but haven’t got the rub opf the green, but we should be proud of the team. Fabregas was the best midfielder on the park and Ronaldo was anonymous

  285. Gooner7 says:

I hope Arsene rests the poor Cesc, he has a busy Euro 2008, and he needs some rest. We also have a tight summer schedule before the season begins…We might win Emirates cup after all…hurray1!!!

Surely we can’t blame Cesc, Hleb, and co to be ambitious about winning UCL. For european talents, that’s their main priority…

  286. Gooner7 says:

    @jimmyfingers,

” IMO the two finest fullbacks in the league, ”

Quite right. Actually, IMO the two finest fullbacks in the world…

  287. Paulinho says:

I just don’t get this youngsters maturing next season spiel. I find Denilson, Diaby, Song to a lesser extent(quite impressive today) completely underwhelming and it will be more a case of them not being good enough rather than lacking maturity. We haven’t exactly got five diego maradona’s waiting for a chance.

Is Toure going to grow a composed brain? Adebayor will always be a complacent tool in my book. Can Fabregas get any more mature? He is a freak in that sense. Is Hleb going to shoot more? Is Rozza gonn stay injury free? The only possible improvement maybe Clichy cutting out those mistakes.

I don’t see maturity as the main problem. It’s just lack of quality and depth. Wenger is missing the big picture big time if he thinks time is going to be a panacea for our ills.

  288. Geoff says:

I’m probably in the minority but I think Ade will come good, but he needs to spend time on the bench and go to control and shooting school this summer.

Arsene is a great manager but he needs to spend, Edleman said in the annual report that Wenger had £75 mil and that was before he sold Diarra.

We will be debt free in 2009 so I have no idea what Wenger is talking about when he says money is tight.

I always thought we needed a center back, a big fucker, but I was wrong, we need two.

Gallas should go with Eboue, Senderos, Lehmann and Song, the rest are good.

    Nice editing Pedro!

  289. Big Raddy says:

Agree about FB’s. But I thought that Kolo/Eboue did well today, and that the fantastic Sagna wasn’t really missed.

The real problem with Sagna’s absence is that AW has to play Eboue rather than Theo, because Kolo is not a natural full back and needs support. And as we all know Eboue adds very little (or nothing) to the team as an attacking option. His crossing today was non-existent, and all our attacks came down the left.

The sooner Sagna comes back and Theo can get a run in the team , the better

  290. Gooner7 says:

    Geoff,

Actually Gallas is a fucking liability. He’s no leader like Viera or Tony Adams….

  291. Gooner7 says:

I’ll make Flamini as the next captain, and Cesc, the vice-captain. They’re real leaders…Get rid of Gallas, Gilberto, and LEhmann…

  292. Gooner7 says:

flamini and Cesc give 100% every game. Even when they’re dead tired…

  293. Abdenor says:

I don’t subscribe to Wenger leaving but he needs to open his eyes and realise we won’t put up with his pathetic transfer policy.

I was shocked he did’nt purchase a big commanding CB last summer & more shocked when he appointed Gallas as captain wich made him undropable (is it ‘cos he’s French) & Gallas being given DB 10 shirt no is something i still can’t get my head around, all hasn’t been well at the club for while IMO & things have to change.

The back line obviously needs sorting out but we need to get our winning mentality back as the boss, some players & suporters seem happy with playing/or watching good football & no trophies at the end.

We are a massive club and deserve better, events of last 2 months have made me depressed, absolutely depressed!!!!!!

  294. jimmyfingers says:

Has to be huge question marks over Gallas’ mentality, and he’s certainly no captain

  295. Stupid says:

wenger will never have the bottle to get rid of gallas, we may aswell extinguish those dreams now.

  296. Evo in OZ says:

i reckon gallas is with us until he retires.

  297. BB says:

geoff .. u forgot hoyte .. do you want to see hoyte again in an arsenal shirt?
i disagree on song .. btw Lehamn should go, but we need a better keeper than this useless tapas munching would be english keeper
bendtner needs to go on loan with probabaly a couple of other youngsters
then buy a top striker .. and a top cb .. and try and keep flam and make him captain
i would like to see gallas leave as well
and i think he will actually leave
    to juve

  298. Stupid says:

jens, senderos, hoyte need to move on

if flamini does go, diaby must be given the CM role.

  299. gazzap says:

I know bert played well today but he has to go today as well. Jens will probably get a club after todays performance as well. they all will get clubs in the summer at a high level but they are not good enough for Arsenal.
whats the betting Song becomes the new Senderos?! ie a season of getting chance after chance but making mistakes or getting away with it all season long? has sendy finally been found out? Song is not the answer to our problems. 2 or 3 big errors today that show he is not a replacement at the back.
How come Song has leapfrogged Djourou? JD must be really crap in training!

  300. ScubaGooner says:

    Hola,

Just back from OT and I’ve had a quick read through – interesting comments.

We played well today but again as with most games this season we didn’t take our chances. Ade, Gallas, Eboue are not good enough to wear the Arsenal shirt. The others such as Hoyte, Jens, Gilberto, Senderos need to be sold on as well.

How Eboue gets in front of Theo is beyond me.

Ade, Geoff he could go on as many courses as you like he will never improve to the standard required.

Gallas – read what I said Friday.

Wenger needs to stand up and be counted; I still stand by him but I’m sorry 1 more season is all he can expect. And if he doesn’t buy some quality experienced players in the summer we’re fuicked for next season.

Cesc, Hleb, Clichy, Theo, Sagna, Toure, RvP, Dudu are the backbone and future

Flamini good if he decides to stay

Bendtner, Diaby, Song, Denilson worth another season or two

Buy in 2 CD, 1CM, 1LW, 1CF – we need the balance of experience and youth

  301. BB says:

clearly also tonite is that rather than moving his back 4 constantly around in order to preserve his midfield shape, he should have stuck with gallas/kolo and eboue as rb when sagna got injured.. whats the point of playing most guys out of position
even today he threw song into ice cold waters at OT as a CB which is not his normal position .. he could have played a different shape
without finding reasons to defend gallas, he plays every other game with a new partner
especially at the back, players like to get used to each other and to trust each other
big big gamble on wenger’s behalf to sacrifice defence for midfield.. this gamble did not pay off

  302. BB says:

    scuba ..must have been heartbreaking
i thought hleb was outstanding today on tv
how did you see him at OT?

  303. Abdenor says:

    Ideal transfer world:

    out:
    Senderos
    Lehmann
    Gilberto
    Hoyte
    Traore(Loan)

    in:
    Micah Richards
    Quaresma
    Benzema

I know these would cost a few bobs but hey… we have the cash!!

AW needs to forget about the financial side of things & focus solely on the football wich is what he’s paid for.

  304. ScubaGooner says:

BB – yeah I thought Hleb was superb today mate – the rest and we agree was same same – Ade, eboue, gallas -

  305. ScubaGooner says:

I would that about half the Arsenal stayed behind for about 20 minutes continually singing “WE LOVE YOU ARSENAL, WE Do”

Great great support – you’d have thought we had won the title, UCL, the lot – yeah, it was a heartbreaker but as always I’m proud to be a GOONER mate!

Did you hear us on the box?

  306. ScubaGooner says:

**would have thought that about –

  307. BB says:

yeah .. did hear you .. great support
    we played really ell
like easily one of our best performances of the season
but bad defending and no adeqaute goal scorer cost us the game

  308. AN Steve says:

Just had a quick look at the blog before giving up for th night

heard the Arsenal support on the box, as always makes you proud to be a gooner

  309. ScubaGooner says:

BB – bad defending and no goal scorer sums it up…..but how many times have we said that this season!!!

Anfield & OT – we played some great but came away with nothing….

  310. Finestcuts says:

This is the guy I think Wenger is after. Check out his first touch, his skill, how lethal he is in the box. And he does this week after week, again and again….

We know how to make chances….we need someone to convert them.

  311. Paulie says:

I expected this result even though im still gutted. Arsenes stuborness, arrogance and inability to accept hes wrong has tortured me these last 2 months and now ive got to get my head round the fact that hes no intention of doing what needs to be done to change things for next season so its more of the same gutless spineless surrender again next march when things get serious. Theres many people surprised at the way Ferguson praised Arsenal after todays game, but when you think about it its obvious why hes done it, Arsenal have become a joke now and none of the top managers want to see Wenger go as under him we’re gauranteed to roll over in the big games and hand the pionts to them. Im sick to fuck of hearing how good Arsenal play cause at the end of the day we always choke and lose when it matters. Im just waiting now for the usual summer rumours to start when all our top players are linked with all the top european clubs, i mean where else would you see this bullshit every year only at Arsenal. I actually wouldnt blame Fabregas at this stage if he pisses off to Barcelona seeing as Wenger has stated that its more of the same next year where Fabregas is expected to run himself into the ground every fucking game cause He wont or more likely isnt able to convince any top class players to jion us. Anyway as ive said allready im gutted the way our season has ended and its all down to that lying bullshitting cunt who thinks he owns our club and wouldnt dare bow to anyone, Arsehole Wenger. Keep up the good work Pedro and Geoff with your excellent enjoyable blog, keep telling it like it is.

  312. alex says:

i think the board at arsenal it stuck in a way though. With coaching wenger is brilliant but when it comes to players we are just way too be of a club to experiment with kids young enough to be his grandkids.

if flamini wants to go(even though he has been a beast this season) the let him, no point in potentially damaging team chemistry because he wants to be payed more.
but im sure 08-09 will be arsene’s LAST season if he doesnt sign someone or find a hidden diamond in the u18′s to come in and kill in the league. lets just hope vela is as good as he looks on youtube. because playing him while rosicky is injured would give him experiance and knowing rosicky’s injuries, more then enough playing time.

if one person deserves more then 50k a week, its clichy. the boys fucking world class.

but when we have short cb’s with toure and gallas we need to replace one, and everyone knows that toure will stay , so hopefully we see gallas(the most rediculous looking player on the field) as backup or just gone period.

    as far as replacing flamini,
diaby, to me, will come good. the best part is i think he is like 6’3 or somethin because we despartly need more height.

for the rest of the season id like to see bendtner givin a starting role, basically same type of ade but today in a matter of 5 min. he had about as much shots on goal as ade did in 70.

we need a tall VERY experianced striker. (dreaming, maybe, but someone like nistleroy)

i think RVP has played almost as a LM the last couple of games because he hasnt been anywhere near the penalty box.

well im going to check arsenal.com to see who arsene is blaming for this loss.

  313. ethan_gunner says:

    geoff
I’m probably in the minority but I think Ade will come good,

Well id like to have your faith but i think bendtner will come good before he does .And we don’t need 2 giraffes id rather pick the one with more room to grow and at 19 bendnter can pass , isn’t afraid to shoot at distance And has definitely got more ball skills than ade .still lacks composure infront of goal , but he definately can achive more in his career !. when dudu comes back (if) and RVP walcott and vela .. You have to say what room is left for either ade or bendnter?

Im sure one will go .. and i hope he will purchase someone who can score in the summer!
I know we have leaks everywhere in our formation , but surely SCORING ! is a real issue now ! Hi-lited by the past few game in particular !

We would have beat them last night if someone was a finisher ! the rest of the team did ok ! we could have scored 3 more last night ..

Fuck it ferdinand and brown almost scored for us too ! That game was there for the taking last night ! Poor shot selection let us down !
    wenger let us down !
theo on at 60m.38 seconds like i said !

    NOT GOOD ENOUGH !
he came on as an impact sub and didnt do much !
so those people who say we get the best from him in this way
ARE WRONG! On a tough team like ManUre we needed him on for 90 minutes ! Why is arsene treating theo like this ? Eboue is on for 60 minutes
and whilst i think he had a better game last night than usual , questions must be asked !!!

  314. Ollie says:

I Can See Several Points From This! I’ll Start With the positives
    1) Song played out of position, and potentially was a reason we lost. It proves Arsenes Policy needs reviewing. It also means we have something to complain about!
2)EBOUE GOT INJURED! EBOUE GOT INJURED! EBOUE GOT INJURED!
3)Practically everyone got yellows, except fabregas, which means that he can still play, but one more means a two game rest!
    4) And finally, todays game means one game less untill the end of the season!
I would mention the negatives, but i would be repeating all the above comments!
Bring on Pedro’s match report i say. Im off to wake up fully!

  315. Ollie says:

Arsene Wenger on sticking with youngsters…
“We have the quality and we are young. I have worked with this team for a long time now and people don’t know what that means. For example Alex Song played today. It is two years ago since I bought him. Today he played in a massive game and showed he has exceptional quality. He was not like that two years ago. We want to be rewarded for the quality we have.”
    Fact or Fiction?

  316. ethan_gunner says:

    fiction big style

  317. Geoff says:

    I can’t see what he’s looking at with Song, I really can’t.

  318. ethan_gunner says:

    geoff

maybe with the rumors of senderos getting the flick
hes on the look out for a new progenitor .

I think i would of taken this game more seriously than try
    out a player who’s had 2 C.C games the whole season !
put theo in from the start , i thought it was almost mandatory !
Or bendtner with ade and RVP on a wing at the very least .

I gotta say wengers thoughts sometimes amaze me ..
Like bringing ade / bends on in the 60th minute V’s spuds in the C.C game
Long after the horse bolted !!

Thats still got me fucked to this day !

  319. ethan_gunner says:

    Rohit

    you mean low-lights

  320. Ollie says:

Adebayors goal was a hand ball! just saw the close up!

  321. Pedro says:

    Morning all,

The match report will be up at about 0900.

    Cheers

    Pedro

  322. GMR says:

I see Wenger’s back to blaming the ref this morning. He says the penalty was not certain & that Gilberto never touched anyone for their free kick, all whilst convieniently forgetting that our goal was a handball.

It’s those sort of comments which are making us a laughing stock. He has become delusional.

  323. Adom says:

You get to see all the plastic and irrational arsenal fans when things go wrong i guess. The only players i deem unworthy of playing for arsenal any longer are Eboue and Gilberto. Solely as i believe they cannot improve any further, Eboue has serious trouble reading the game which isn’t worth keeping him around to develop on as i don’t feel he has the intelligence to learn in a required time and Gilberto..well he’s just way past it he can’t even play the role if a ‘destroyer’ anymore. I’m growing infuriated with Arsenal ‘fans’ saying get rid of Senderos, Song, Hoyte and Bendtner because partially disregarding Hoyte i feel that all of these players can improve an extreme amount. How old was Tony Adams at his peak? Which top quality center backs is there in the world that are 23 years old? That’s a serious question because the only ones around that age that i can think of are Micah Richards who reading of the game is no where near immaculate but it is his physical attributes which make up for that fact and Sergio Ramos whom Real Madrid paid £22m for and even if Arsene was interested in him he was only going to be interested in Real anyway. As for Micah Richards Arsene is looking at £30m+ if he wants him due to Chelsea’s interest which will subsequently cause a bidding war, to me that doesn’t sound like a good deal but I’m intrigued as to your opinions. Back to Bendtner of course he is a talent but mentally he is no where near ready as his unfounded arrogance is ruining his game, in time with the ideal role model of Wenger is extensively likely that he will progress into a top marksmen but arsenal fans expect him to become that player overnight or even in a season, to all of the arsenal fans in your profession how long did it take you till you were highly talented and flawless at your job? I doubt its even one year for the majority but that’s what you expect of Nicklas. Look at Adebayor it has taken him 2 and a half years to become a 20 goals a season striker and me paid £3m for him so that means that the evaluation for a 20 goals a season striker at Adebayors rate would be £7.5m yet Liverpool signed Torres for £26.5m which further outlines the gulf in ability between Benitez and Wenger and between the scouts at Arsenal and the Scouts at Liverpool, so i find it ridiculous when fans compare Wenger to Benitez and Ferguson regarding £30m Rooney who has scored 34 times for united in the league in 154 games compared to Adebayors 32 in 74 and say we should have gone out and bought Torres because would you buy a pint for £27 if you could get it two and a half hours later for £3? and well in Rooney’s case you could wait forever for the pint so you might as well get an cranberry juice. Overall i feel that at Bendtner’s age Adebayor was no where near him so can we not give Bendtner another year and a half to provide? Lastly i admire Hoyte as i feel he’s the only Arsenal player who truly loves and supports Arsenal but then again footballs a business and its all about winning so what’s the point of having passion.

I normally just read and i rarely post, i love the site and never miss an article but i truly got pissed off with some of the comments. If i can stay rational sitting with United fans at the match today after travelling over 4 hours then i feel the fans who sat at home watching the game can too. I am very confident that they don’t have as much football knowledge in their pinkie than Wenger has in his head, i mean of course they know the squad better than Wenger because they’re with them everyday right? And of course they know better than Wenger because they won use 3 league titles and 4 F.a cups and led us to two European Cup finals as well as finishing second in the Premiership 5 times and losing in an F.a cup final, thus making us the third most valuable club in the world above Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona who spend about £100m more than us every year.

So yes “in Wenger i trust” and yes to me “Wenger knows best” because although i question the results of some of his actions as winning the Premiership at Old Trafford and White Heart Lane severely outweighs them.

Although i do feel its very evident that we need to strengthen our squad starting with a reliable keeper, because although Almunia has been sterling for the majority of this season but his previous goalkeeping atrocities and the fact i feel he doesn’t communicate well enough with the back four go strongly against him and makes him only viable for a back-up keeper. Lehmann has to go, i don’t feel i need to justify that as all Arsenal fans will agree other than German ones. As for defence we need a player who is strong and dependable who can play RB and CB just as cover preferable young so that they can progress and give competition to Senderos as Song and Djourou are a long way away, and when i say young i mean 23/24. We need another left back as Traore is a long way away also someone in the mould of Clichy but more defensive about 22 years old as i feel Clichy has still a lot to improve on. Into midfield, i feel we need a winger and a creative central midfielder if the Denilson problem doesn’t resolve and if Arsene still chooses to play Diaby on the wings, but definitely a winger who will get crosses in as well as being able to make off the ball runs and creative passes which will be hard to find and the only players i can suggest Quaresma, Modric, Ribery and Capel yes all players we’ve been linked with as i had time to look at them but Ribery tends to hold on to the ball to long and doesn’t favour crossing and i would paint Modric with the same brush. Quaresma seems to pricey as i don’t feel he’s worth £20m+ as when you buy a player your buying potential as well as current ability and i don’t feel he offers a huge amount of potential and as for Capel well i don’t feel he is completely ready yet and reminds me of a lesser talented Reyes who Arsene would have tried harder to hang on to like Diarra (who i have a picture with while he was at arsenal(email me for a copy)). A dream signing would be David Silva of Valencia, who is an ideal age and is an extremely talented winger probably the best LM in Europe at the moment can’t think of any others (i no longer consider Ronald a midfielder) but it would cost a lot of money to get him probably about the same as Quaresma which would be Arsene’s stumbling block. As for forwards we need one, a creative player who comes deep but takes his chances so like a Hleb who shoots. My suggestions are Huntelaar and Villa, but I’m living in dream world with Villa as he would cost £30m+ which Arsene would never shell out but also he’s too old at his standards though he’s only 26. Huntelaar would be cheapish and ideal but many believe he’s like a Van Nistelrooy type poacher but he has more to his game as in the Ajax squad he plays a more supportive striker role but misses very few chances, he’s too much in demand though and Arsene will never get his claws out in a bidding war.

Well I’ve said already to much.

Adom, I think I have read the best assesment of our team written by you since I have been reading the blogs. I am very frustrated with AW more for the poor decisions he makes in matchplay. However you are spot on with everything else. AW has done wonders for us and because he keeps us interested till the end of every season bar 1 of them it raises our dissapointment levels. I am certainly not one of those who thinks Arsen knows as he makes too many mistakes. AW doesn’t exactly tell all as it is either, but swap him for another Manager would be a huge gamble at this stage of our clubs development. (New Stadium). I would like to see him take on his predecessor and tell us at the beginning what plans he will have for the right person. He could groom his eventual replacement to play the Arsenal way and hopefully this person will have the balls to question AW on decisions. We are on the verge of being great but we shouldn’t wait any longer for this greatness to happen. In all my years following the Arsenal I have seen success but never a team that dominates for many years like them Norhtern scum Pool and Mancscum. This could be the time now or maybe the time has passed by this season. The keeper is our biggest problem and if we don’t replace him this summer then we will need 100 goals a season to win a trophy. Its time to be calm now and reflect on what might have been. Its also an opportunity for AW to steal an early march on the transfer market while our rivals are still playing for the cups. Come on you ARSENAL. Lets do it.

    @ Thomas

“Maybe Wenger should clone Ronadlo at Colney – we just need to make sure we get a DNA sample from Old Trafford, there will be enough skin samples in our 18 yrd area from the amount of times he hits the deck.”

Suddenly someone else bags the title for the Biggest dickhead in the world.

You lost, we lost – S Alex Ferguson gets the title again.
