I’ve never been so gutted.
The numbness is worse than Chelsea in the semi’s, Barca in the final, Spurs in the league cup and Nayim from the half way line… why? Because this could have all been prevented.
What was the difference between Arsenal and Liverpool tonight?
About £38 million worth of talent.
1 shot, 1 goal from Torres.
1 shot, 1 goal for Babel.
Yeah, the penalty was debatable. Only if you were a Dutch ref called Pieter Vink. It was a clumsy and an unnecessary tackle from an experienced player.
Liverpools first goal was Senderos’ fault for player watching. True, but how many players score a header from 16 yards out?
The line up from the start stunk of negativity.
Take the midfield
Eboue (RB) Cesc (CM) Flamini (CM) Diaby (CM) Hleb (CM)
Does that look like a balanced midfield to you?
Diaby is not a great player, he scored tonight but any keeper worth his salt would have saved that near post shot.
Hleb? Great feet, but its like being a man down when we go forward because he will not shoot. Good luck playing like that in Milan Hleb, you’ll last a year… still, the ice cream is good?
Flamini, what a fighter. Will he sign? I doubt it. Would you if Milan offered you double?
Theo has been mustard for the last 3 games, what does the boy have to do to get a starting berth?
Eboue has been so bad, it brings a tear to my eye.
He was so fucking abysmal tonight my brother nearly burst a blood vessel screaming at the screen. He can’t pass, he can’t finish… fuck… he can barely control the ball.
Tell me. What right does he have to play at Arsenal? He is atrocious. Bring back Eddie Mcgoldrick, Chris Kiwomya, David Hillier, Glen Helder… any of those shitters would do a better job.
How is this for Arsene humour. We had Eboue and Yaya Toure on trial at the same time and we kept Eboue (The first time we had him on trial in 2004)!
What a fucking joke…
Now onto Adebayor…
Ok, how can you slate a player who has bagged so many goals for you?
Well digest these facts,
- Marcus Stewart (19 Prem goals second top scorer 1999-00)
- Kevin Phillips (30 goals in a season top scorer 2000-01)
- Chris Sutton (19 Goals 1997-98 top scorer)
His first touch is outrageously bad. Why can’t he roll a pass back?
He holds the line like a school kid? I counted him offside 3 times in the first 15 minutes.
His finishing is poor. What possessed him to try and chip it to the far post when he was played through? Thierry, Wrighty, Bergkamp, Anelka, Wiltord… Kaba Diawara would have all buried that.
That my friends is the difference between greatness and going out in the quarters.
With Ade we’ve taken a stone and shined it up… Arsenal should be buying the rough diamonds.
Torres is a rough diamond, everyone knew about him… why weren’t we in for him? He gets the ball and your heart starts racing. Do you get that with Ade? I don’t…
I find it difficult to slate Senderos? Its quite clear he is out of his depth. I love to defend him, but he was exposed twice tonight. Its not good enough, but we’ve all been saying the same thing for years?
Special praise goes out to Theo. Your run was mesmerising, you are showing us all why Arsene spent so much money on you… about time to! Why the whole team felt the need to channel all the balls to Ade is beyond me. Well played though, you’re a keeper for next year, that’s for sure.
I know the Flamster went off through injury, but that is where our problem lies.
Great first 11, shame about the rest.
Still what are you going to do?
Listen to people tell you how you are spoilt by success?
Oh we won a trophy 3 years ago, tonight was ok then… this season was, erm? Progress!
Listen to morons telling you that you sound like a Manc and you should go and support another team?
Fuck being a Manc, take a look at what happens at Milan, Barca, Madrid, Juve and Inter if you don’t win a trophy.
There is no shame in expecting to win things. A winning mentality is a culture and it should be embodied by the fans and the players, just like it is at all the great clubs, countries and businesses.
That this is a knee jerk reaction…
Define Knee Jerk:
An automatic response to something.
Ok, I’ve had since the 16th of February to think about this…
In that time I’ve seen,
2 wins
7 draws
3 losses
Ok, my conclusion?
Its been shit.
If your idea of an automatic response is 52 days, you should go and work for the claims department at Zurich Insurance…
How Arsene knows and will rectify it in the summer…
Get real people, Arsene doesn’t know… because we all knew what was going to happen in the summer… and sure enough, come what April… it has.
Arsenal are loaded, the fans are skint… and we’ve gone another season with fuck all to show for it.
Arsene knows? Does he fuck…

OMG!!
just watched the match again on sky +
anybody hear the incredible commentary from the livepool cunt beglin on walcott’s run?
he says, i quote ” aurelio should have brought him down and taken a yellow”
fucking biased cunt
Susan, what is the difference between and Oligarch and our current board?
Nothing…
If our board was so great, why did season ticket prices go up?
Someone please tell me the difference?
If abramovich imposes his will on the team and they win the league and Euro cup… it worked out ok didn’t it?
Great post! I`ve been a regular reader here for some time, as i think this is by far the best blog and it`s great that to read all the replies!
And i have to say i (as usual) agree with the majority of the posts today..I have loved Wenger from the start, but he needs to spend this summer. The fans wants to win something this year and next year. If Wenger stated in an interview tomorrow that “all the fans can relax, we`ll win the league in 2012″, i`ll belive him, but what the f*** about all the years inbeetween when the other cunts win it??
Almunia – not a bad keeper at all, I just feel that beeing Arsenal and aiming to be the best team in the world, we should have someone really top-top class.
Toure – Not the same after ACN. But a good player, best as a CB.
Gallas – Much better than last year, but sometimes it`s like he`s just not up for it..spurs away, united away..better captain than i expected, but needs to be even better next year to defend a place in our defence.
Senderos – sometimes fantastic, other times a pack of sigarettes would have done a better job..squad player, needs to become constistent at a top level. I hope he can, cause he`s got qualities.
Clichy – fantastic season, gets better and better. The penalty against Birmingham (and pass against city that luckily wasn`t desicive) apart, faultless all season.
Eboue – first player in all my years supporting Arsenal i actually would kick in the nuts if i met him. A discrace to the club and himself, please fuck of this summer.
Fab – not a negative word to say about him, he is our leading man. But looks tired, and we need someone who can cover for him sometimes. Can`t play 60 games a 90 minutes every year.
Flamini – one of our best this season. Fantastic. I really hope he signs a new contract, cause i cant see who can replace him, and especially now that diarra is gone.
Diaby – not a winger, and will never be one either. Got qualities, but for now he`s just a squad player.
Hleb – when the team is clicking, he`s fantastic. When the team struggles, he does to. I love Hleb, he is a good player. But he needs to play good even when fab doesn`t, and needs to score more! I really hope the italian ice-cream don`t lure him away this summer.
Adebayor – you can`t slag of ade this season. You just really can`t. When edu was finding he`s feet in the pl, and van persie was injured he kept us top of the table. Had a dip in form, but every striker (except that cunt ronaldo) does. If he scores 20 goals next season too, and someone else chips in more regulary, we`ll be top of the table.
As for Theo, he needs to start games. Fantastic last weeks, can`t wait for next season!
Bendtner – on and off. Has quality, but not really first 11 yet. I don`t like his attitude, but if he can score 10-15 goals next season, i don`t have to!
Sagna – sorely missed the last 10 days..fantastic player, looks like he`s been playing with us for years already!
Tomas – love him when he`s fit, but how often is that? We can not rely on a player who`s injured 15-20 games every season.
Robin – same as Tomas.
Song, Denilson, Hoyte, Traore – Song had a great ACN, and can get his big break in the pl next season. The rest of them can easily be replaced.
I hope, pray and actually think Wenger will buy at least 3 top class players this summer. I think he is sick of not winning any trophies as well, and after the season he will accept that he needs to buy someone to do that.
Sorry for the amount of words, thanks for reading.
Geoff and Pedro: great job, keep up the good work!!
Thanks Norwegian Gunner… nice post!
I hate to say it… but maybe Arsene has gone as far as he can with the team at his disposal… yes, re-investment is needed, but something tells me Arsene will stick to his guns (no pun intended) and persevere with the ‘youth policy’
If that doesn’t bring rewards once more, for a nother trophy-less season, then the board may well get itchy feet… I dunno whether it’s a case of Wenger not wanting to spend the money, or the board not allowing him to… either way, it adds up to all promise, and very little substance by way of winning trophies (which, as I’m sure the neighbours in N17 are all ready to point out)
Winning ugly may not win you friends, but it doesn’t half win you trophies sometimes… remember Boring Boring Arsenal anyone???
I have this nagging feeling that Wenger may well decide that enough’s enough… either he DEMANDS the cash injection, or as unthinkable as it seems, may well decide to ply his trade elsehwere… and on last night’s unbeleibvable final 2 minutes… who could blame him?
Bring back Pires, Bergkamp and Freddie….players willing to shoot and enough skill to back up their attempts on goal!
Pedro, 6 of those players you mentioned play either for a club that has a billionaire who cares not about money, or a club that is up to its ears in debt. And Kaka was brought relatively on the cheap as an anonymous youngster from Brazil.
To get half-decent players on the bench nowadays costs a fucking fortune and gives you guarantees of success as much as it gives the spuddies a guaranteed 4th spot and CL football. I think AW needs to add to the squad – but it is one helluva job to do it properly and not get shafted by the inflated market prices.
Well personally I would be conscious of where the money has come from in the first place, I have issues with someone like Usmanov on a moral level and wouldn’t want him owning our club.
I suppose I am sticking up for the Arsenal board because they successfully built a fantastic new stadium in north London, doing so on time and within a reasonable budget. Looking at Wembley and the FA, I think the Arsenal board did a tremendous job. They’ve managed to make us economically successful without selling up to the highest bidder. The season ticket prices are a joke but overall the club is run extremely well.
There’s always a threat with Abramovich that he will up sticks and leave, where will Chelsea be then. Glazier put a massive dept on the club when he bought them, I am happy that our board sensibly ruin our club and that we are growing.
Ha Ha! An unconscious slip at the end there, ruin meant to say run.
Hi Grovers!
Long time no speak.
Just been reading through the comments and there have been some great ones, and a few that are misguided.
Not liking a few of the arsene knows posse creeping on.
Investment = Higher chance of success.
No team ever won anything doing things on the cheap. Maybe Ajax? But you get a freak team every now and then.
Lets stop arguing over whether we should keep doing things the same.
3 years of nothing means something is going wrong.
I don’t care how bad it was in the 70/80′s, we’re past that now. We demand a high standard, because that is what we pay for.
Don’t sack arsene, but give him a toe up the Arse(ne). The problem is, all these new corporate fans wont pay through the nose to see a team who can’t compete. However much you hate them, they pay for that stadium, and the players wages.
We’re treading a fine line. Lets do the right thing and bolster, if it doesn’t work, we’ll have less to complain about next year.
You don’t mind a failure if you did all in your power to prevent it. In my eyes, we had the cash to strengthen where is was obviously needed and we didn’t.
That is unacceptable.
Do the right thing Arsene.
Matt, dont say that, there’ll be people on here calling you a tool in a sec for daring to have an opinion that differs from that of our esteemed gaffer!
Anyway, I like the blog because it offers an opinion, even when it is opposite to mine. I have no doubt in my mind that you are genuine Arsenal fans thinking only for the good of the club.
Disagreements over certain issues are always bound to exist, but I respect you lads and I urge you to keep up the good work. I have to run now. Read you later.
COME ON ARSENAL!
Players like Kaka were not unknowns… just like Ronaldo wasn’t.
The price was too high.
I’m all debated out!
Right i am off for 30 mins!
Happy blogging.
Gunnersaurus!! good to have the dinosaur back!!
I have to come clean… I’m a Spurs fan, but am not in any way gloating (far be it for me to deprive you of that unique quality!) I’m merely saying it as it is…
Wenger has the foundations of another exciting side… maybe this year you peaked too early, raising expectation to an unfair level… the fact you’re pushing Man Utd & Chelsea hard in league, allowing for all their spending, and your relative inexperience, bodes well for the future… but, as I say, wenger knows what a winning team is made of… a mixture of youth, experience, and a delicate peppering of superstar players… though not as generous a sprinkling as some, to the detriment of the overall team.
History proves that as and when a player comes along, he’s not scared to spend… after all, Henry and the like didn’t exactly come cheap… but for every Henry there’s a Jeffers, for every Hleb there’s a Reyes… maybe Wenger simply isn’t as comfortable spending someone elses cash, as, say Mourhinio obviously was!!
I’m not one of those bitter jealous Spurs fans you guys love to hate… I like to think of myself as a fair minded individual, who, even accounting for my personal alleigances, could see as clear as day who the better team last night were for 88 minutes… sadly, as you have shown on many occasions to many teams in years gone by… (so I’m sure you know the feeling) but sometimes, it’s that final 2 minutes where all the damage can be done!
I think your post is a little harsh – particularly this part:
“this season was, erm? Progress!”
Even if you’re someone who expects Arsenal to win every single season you can’t deny that things have improved on last season.
g4l .. you are a complete fukking retard .. Valencia are Tier1 .. played CL finals..won league..always up there .. you tell them they are Everton material .. didnt know that Everton won the league and participates in CL finals..you pathetic dikk!
as for City/Sppurs .. you will see next season .. btw we lost 5-1 to Spurs .. do you remember ?? ..
Torres scored 29 goals this season .. and if some of his colleagues arent good enough .. then its not his fault .. both Vieira and henry were urging Wenger to buy better players as they saw levels dropping
we have not recovered since .. money buys class and class buys games ..
you cannot expect to win with Senderos .. and Eboue in midfield .. and Ade.. and Kolo as right back.. and an ageing Gilberto .. it doesnt work that way..
doesnt the fact that Sagna is player of the season underline what a good solid pro brings to the team .. wait until Cesc wants to leave because he cant see us winning trophies ..
how comes that Wenger doesnt have to feel pressure??
he is also not the only one to play beautiful football .. of the European coaches..
he is NOT unique .. and therefore should not be treated as such
go to Barca and tell Rijkaard that he can lose 4-0 to Real in the cup and 5-1 to espanyol .. he will get a gun stuck up his bum ..
Wenger does not deserve his status .. he is not bigger than what makes a club successful, ie winning trophies .. in that respect, Mourinho was right about Wenger
…and by the way, as an impartial observer, it does sadden me to see all the ‘in-fighting’ amongst your own fans this morning… I know you’re disapponited, hell I know the feeling… one pot in 9 years is hardly anything to be proud of… but it’s at times like these that you need to stick together, for the greater good… cos, as your manager pointed out last night, no one else is gonna do you any favours… that seige mentality may just be the one thing that saves you… ‘cos as Bentdner & Adebayor proved at WHL, having a go at each other isn’t going to solve anything!
I hope, beyond hope that in the next few years, Tottenham can hope to compete with Arsenal on a more level playing field… but something tells me that is light years off yet!
Well Spanish, I can’t deny we haven’t progressed this season… but the progress has still not been good enough has it?
The silver lining has been the same for 4 years now…
‘Next season the youngsters will have another year under their belt’
Next year comes along, more failure.
If we want to be classed among the big boys of Europe… we need to start acting like a big boy.
Maybe the post was harsh, but I think there is a lot of truth in it.
Anyway… onwards and upwards!
I think I’ve been a little to lenient on the board today, time to tighten up this arvo!
What is up with the Flamsters injury?
What do we all think about the weekend?
If we beat the mancs, can we make an impact on the table?
If we beat the Mancs I think Chelsea will win the league.
If we beat the Mancs and the Mancs draw with the chavs… we are level pegging right?
BB
not sure why you bother going to ACLF .. its full of retards like G4L.
In fact he is one of them ! and 1979 …
thinking arsenes poo doesnt smell ! and any attempt to talk reality to them
is just met with hostility ! Certain bloggers brainwash there readers ..
my motto is cant win dont try ..
and boy did i try
I think common sense will find a way .. and now we are shown to be correct !
there is positively no difference between last year and this year …
None , in fact some players are worse ! players that we thought might have some potential
have proven to be fizzers ! I cant call eboue progress ! or ade ..
or even diaby (thru lack of opportunities ) same can be said for denilson .
in fact denilson played more last season …
The only progress is flamini and he wont resign !
dudu thru a tragic injury has put a pause button on his career !
how any living being can state by another fruitless trophy cabinet year
and still qualifying for the C.L like last season is progress!!!!
needs some serious
time with a quack !
END OF STORY !
i want the best for my club and sticking my head in the sand and saying next year doesnt cut it for me !
I DEMAND FUCKING ACTION !!!!
whos with me ?!!?!?
If that scenario happens then we have a chance, Chelsea need to go to Everton which could be tough, if they play like they have this season. Man Utd have to go to Blackburn, a potentially tough North Western derby. We have some easier away ties.
Coming on to this late it has all been said , I am a new comer to this community, but it is nice to read like minded non Tom Watt style delsuion relating to le boss. Him and that idiot shovel really get my goat on AFC TV. Big improvement last night with that Scottish blonde bird.
Will he buy in the summer ? Probably not , Am I sick of it ? Yes I am !!!
I have been getting battered by plastic scousers all day and for what ? So he can satisfy his own selfish desires. Enough is enough , dare I say it push him upstairs or set him some trophy winning related targets, then if he doesnt deliver maybe it is time for him to go!!!!
Ethan and BB, I do apologise for it getting all a bit ‘Arsene Knows’ in here!
Geoff usually polices it… the first sign of it he stamps it out!
I’m on it this arvo so feel free to rant in relative calm!
Pedro where’s Bud these days?
Bud think he is too big for the blog now…
I’m just going to drop him an e-mail!
I’m never giving a Le Champ to a blogger again! haha!
Any thoughts for Le Champ and Le Chump today?
I am undecided…
and pedro
your article is spot on the mark and currently needed !
without the fans expressing there dissatisfaction about the clubs current stature
it is bound to continue !
don’t let the arsene knows best brigade get you down further than we already feel !
if plonkers come on and disagree with you , its them who needs to assess there
passion for football ! not us !
we have every right to be angry ! i feel cheated as i pay high premiums for cable due to
the EPL tv rights here in Thailand ! and sometimes i feel like giving up watching the game, and just d/loading a torrent ! i shouldn’t have too ! we are a rich proud club .. and currently it isnt being run like one !!!
like the Americans said all the people who signed the declaration of independence
where deemed traitors at the time !! But our voices at the game and on the net will echo thru to the club !
As a fan of Arsenal Football Club is anyone else getting embarrassed by our managers after match reports??
No one team is that unlucky you have to look at what you could have done to prevent situations happeneing…… take some f###ing responsibilty!!! ffs….
Ok, havent seen a rant from him in a while.
Le Chump – AW – buck stops with him – harsh??
Le Champ – Theo – deserved to be on winning side for a run that was worth the admission on its own.
Patdig, that scottish blonde is part of the Setanta Sports News crew.
Yes, she was nice to look at – miles better than Shovel/Tom Watt.
Firstly, Mr Wenger is still the man to manage Arsenal. He would be a huge loss. Talk of him leaving should be nipped in the bud straight away.
Last night and over the previous two games with Pool, Mr Wenger would have realised that he errored badly by not investing more in the summer and in January. He knows his squad is simply not good enough. Hence his frustration in recent weeks. He knows that HE made the big error by not signing;
1) world class centre half
2) world class centre forward
You could also argue that he should have signed a goalie, and not let Diarra go.
Big Phil was a disaster waiting to happen last night. He, Eboue and others are simply not up to it at the top level.
New faces are needed. I would suggest the following;
Goalie – Boruc at Celtic
Centre Half – Micah Richards & Richard Dunne from Man City (Swop Senderos for Dunne)
Winger – Quesarma from Porto
Forward – Kaka or Villa
The fans deserve more. We were the better team over the 2 games. However, a lack of experience and luck hurt us badly.
Finally, Benitez showed guts picking Crouch. It would be great to see Wenger being positive and picking Walcott from the start. The right attitude counts for a hell of alot.
Until next year. We live in hope.
i.ve had to lay off today due to bosses arround, just got a text from my best mate and said some people need to have a doobie (see odub for that!) is it getting a bit personal between bloggers?
pedro lay the smack down!
I know chris, it all got a bit silly earlier…
Like I said, rant your bollocks off this afternoon chaps!
As long as you’re not ranting about how last night was ok, because I’ve let that happen already and it stifled the convo…
Some cunt came on earlier and said I was a cunt for being upset with the season!
What a complete tosser… that is such and unArsenal attitude… he told me to support the mancs… with an attitude like that, maybe you’d be better suited to supporting derby?
We are the Arsenal, second is nothing, winning is everything!
what are you trying to say chris?!! what’s doobie?!!
there have been some rather catty comments but nothing we havent seen before from the arsene knows massive!! pedro’s on cnut patrol anyways!!
You know what mate, can’t wait to get sunday out of the way, and go on my 1 week break and forget about footie for a bit, because i defo lost it last night, which is unlike me! promise!!
one underrated centreback si Distin .. strong in the air and technical as well
we got stonned to bits so it took the edge off, missed liam brady walk off national tv due to a comment from dunmphy,
im not against listening to there rants , arsene has done wonders for us ! in the past
but we as fans have sat patiently for 3 years expecting to yield something from all this down time .. this is the time for a revolution !!!
( i still think D.D was a big part of us being motivated for excellence )
he needs to change a few key factors , and all will be sweet !
the arsene knows WORST brigade are rather like the land of the dead zombies ..
one is bitten and the disease spreads !
I think it happens in all races of life .. like politics .. once a leader does something right its hard to forget even if he turns corrupt and years pass !.. theres always certain loyalists who stick by them hoping the flame will return !
and just processing what he has said in previous statements ..
nothing out of the box there ..
A bigger man would stick his hand up and say .. ok fans it hasn’t worked ! im going to bring in a few fresh faces next season rest easy !put his balls on the block and make
a promise of silverware next season .. in any capacity
no arsene is too smug for that ..
it would mean he’s admitted defeat and manU and chevski’s structure
has out played him !
WELL ARSENE IT HAS ! we have eyes !
most of us have eyes ????
?
Please see Clichy’s comments below re last night!!! At least the lad is honest!!!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=558308&in_page_id=1779&ct=5
i think they are talking about hempish
odub
plenty of that here lads .. fly over and just get whacked out !
a lot of people put it in thai soups here !
another bowl please
Riiiigggghhhtt!!
i wondered why you always have a smiley face attached to your comments! that explains it all ethan!!
Even if we had won the league , the team would be broken up. Look back it all started when he sold Overmars , little did we know that this would be the the start of Ground Hog day summers , where we buy no-one and spend the entire break shitting ourselves that our crown jewels are on the way to Spain or Italy. Vieira, Petit, Henry , Anelka and if you want a comparison to Flamini , who remembers EDU.
I am sick of Arsene knowing , knowing fucking what I ask ?
Some excellent thoughts/comments/posts/rucks – great reading but I have skimmed through them quickly….
I am still so very gutted and angry; it could have been so different but hey, that’s the joy of supporting our beloved Arsenal – it hasn’t changed for the 44 years I’ve been a Gooner so I’m not expecting any great changes now – getting old and fucking cynical beyond belief!!!!
Cartoon in the Times -
2 Gooners sitting having a beer, one says “The fact we’re a young team and will peak next season is, to be honest no consolation”
No consolation at all!!
The only way this team will peak is to buy in some class & experience; its been said a thousand times on here we need to blend youth with experience. (if you actually read the comments the FAKB (fucking arsene knows bridgage) make , they mostly say the same thing, we need to BUY!!!!
Susan – I don’t want that russian mobster either but when we’re talking about spending in the summer we don’t need him – we apparently have upwards of £50M/£60M/£75M depending of who you believe – the club is making money; every day!
Loved your “ruin” comment – what do you know then??!!
Let’s spend the transfer kitty AW; we still love you – well, for one more season
Winning is everything, end of!
Does anyone think arsene or the board or anyone at the club know how we are feeling as fans? ie the people that make Arsenal the club it is today???
How does what we feel & say get back to the people that can do anything about it?
If Wenger just thinks its down to ‘bad luck’ surley nothing is going to change??? Aswell as disappointment of this season a fear of the same thing happening again is even worse………..
Well said Patdig!
Patdig –
Have to disagree somewhat; selling those was okay by me; in fact with PV4 & TH14 should have been sold a year earlier – more cash.
I agree however, that the problem is these players haven’t been replaced!! AW has had a knack of getting rid of a player at the right time just not replacing him!!
Edu – that was a mistake not keeping him agreed
Thanks Pedro , I am new here , but I like what I see. I dont buy all this blame the ref shit , life is life and refs will always make one big mistake per game. The boss needs to accept that in reality his refusal to accept any accountability for poor performances must have a knock on effect to the team.
Lets face it , we are over achieving and Vison is a great and often powerful leadership tool , however most visionaries fuck off once they have sewn the seeds, may be it is time for Arsene to hit the road.
looking at the clip again on youtube, Babel’s dive is very convincing. Most refs would have given it. 10/10 for effective diving. But Toure made literally no contact. Cesc did. cesc made slight contact with Babels hand outside the area. but the ref did not give it for that, since he booked Toure. It really looks like Toure pulls Babel round to the casual viewer but there is no contact at all. Toure does everything he can to avoid any contact. Best dive I think I have ever seen. I did not think the dutch were really into diving, but these days I suppose all nations are. very sad. remarkable how many people in the media have chosen to ignore that incident. Would just love for someone somewhere to expose and prove that Babel dived.
No one at work beleives me and thats what’s infuriating.
check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N84fFSsDa-8
guys,
why is everyone so angry ?
im gutted after last night but all this nonsense about buying X, Y and Z is a bit OTT
i have no doubt that with 1 or 2 additions to this squad we can win the league next year
Plz do not forget how far back we finsihed last year and the amount of progress we have made and before you go nuts – yes i think it does matter
How many of you thot that after selling Henry and buying Dudu, Sagna and Fabianski we would be challenging Man U who had a title winning squad bolstered with Hargreaves, Tevez, Nani and Anderson ?? We finished 20 odd points behind !!!
We tried, we played well and we lost – we were very unlucky and i believe we have been unlucky in may games since the turn of the year – the line between success and failure is very fine indeed
Can somebody remind me what was said at the start of the invincibles season ?
We had collasped and let a much bigger lead slip through our fingers with experienced players and we bought who ? Lehmann ? who else ?
The pundits wrote us off but that same team that had spectacularly fallen apart went undefeated the whole season and was lauded as the best footballing team ever on these shores !!!
This is Arsenal, this is Arsene and this is the way it is for us.
peace out
Clichy made the silly tackle and penalty in 93 min againts Brums, so everyone makes mistakes Clish
Thank you Pedro,i honestly thought we were going to have enuff of those silly guys that come on here and talk about how we have finished further than we did last czen…effff that.
um so tired i cant even think wht happens now, what of the weekend…i know if i was Flamster even if i loved this club like i do now i would defnitly be leaving end of czen…
Fuck these shambles…
I am angry , and in reality we have not challenged Man Utd. When you buy a house its no good having a bigger one than anyone else if you have got no new furniture to put in it.
Patdig you wont get blocked on here with comments like that, well said mate!!
Although I would like to point out it’s not down to me so thread carefully!! lol
I thought it was proved that the Clichy tackle in brum game was good and not a pen; no?
Seems we didn’t learn from his “mistake” though; did we?
Yeah but Patdig you can “save” towards the furniture……
atrocious i cant handle it,um absolutly dejected today was supposed to be a brighter day but damn i still got rage in me are we fans to blame too for putting so much trust in the guy????
Arsenaldo, the point is he came out (like Gallas did) and said it was a mistake, nothing to do with luck at all. Unlike AW who said we just didnt get the breaks. Agreed but accept Kolo shouldnt have given the ref the chance to have to make the decision in the first place!!
Scuba , I know what you mean , but we have been saving for years
I know we got the odd piece of nice furniture , but frankly too much IKEA for my taste
Football is all about trophies and success, and in recent times for all the pretty football we’ve seen we’ve seen no reward, If there is no money to spend then fair play to Wenger for what he is achieving on a limited budget, but if there is money at his disposal and he is choosing not to spend it you v’e got ask why that is. Is Wenger on a one man mission to prove to the world that you dont have to spend money to be succesful? Well so far if that is his plan then its not really worked. Now next season the pressure increases, and the pressure will keep increasing every season we fail to win trophies and turn potential into fulfilment, how long will the likes of Fabregas and Clichy wait untill they get some winners medals? They certainly wont be as patient as we are as fans.
I can’t be dealing with the ‘God Squad’ today(He is a demi god in their eyes)…
Mind you, I don’t mind a bit of debate if its original and it doesn’t wind up the core bloggers.
I am aware that the Mancs went a few years without a trophy… but Fergie has won a lot more than Arsene.
I worry about the manager situation. I don’t want him out… no way. What I worry about is him sticking to his guns for another year?
Would he do that? Will a man like Arsene ever admit defeat?
He is a purist, I have my reservations about his summer plan.
Patdig, Casicky and the rest of you… this is the place to vent your anger. Don’t worry about getting slated… it wont happen here.
So Pedro you dont subscribe to the suggestion that he move to the David Dein role and someone else take over as manager?
i can ot understand how we ended up here???we cant keep blaming the decisions we have always handed chances in a game and we never bury them and the ratio of chances to wrong ref decisions would be 5:1 so we cant keep going on bout how unlucky we have been thats just BS we should have buried all those games before they got to refering decisions…the players have to take some blame so shud Wenger and so shud we for going on with these ‘In Wenger We Trust’ rubbish becoz if we truly believed we shudnt be moaning rite now
Th e Scum will have a trophy more than us this season…CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!
Patdig – I’m fucking with you mate; I totally agree, we’ve been saving for far too fucking long – let’s spend the cash – I fancy some slick Italian designer stuff myself – well, from Milan at any rate
Scuba, here’s one for you…..
Alessandro Nesta!! How much would he cost?!! Milan are having a total clearout in the summer, I’d make a cheeky 5 mill bid, and see what happens!!
Odub – couldn’t agree more – if he gave us 4 or 5 years service it would be a bargin; he could teach our kids so much – and would he have fucked up last night?
Milan are having a clear out but i dont players like Nesta leaving he will be mos probably the core they will build around.
Kaka will never happen and i truthfully i think if Wenger changes his ways it wont be drasticly it will be for the little big fish and not the big big fish so the ben arfas are clear possibles if he changes his stupid mind that is
I don’t think I am anti Arsene yet…
I think we owed him his experiment… he didn’t know he was going to get this much money this quick… so we had to let him see it through. Sadly though, like we all thought, it hasn’t worked.
Its time to shake things up, and there isn’t a better manager in the world who deals with great players.
So go and buy a few!
Even when Arsene eventually does retire, having him upstairs would be a massive burden on the new manager!
Odub, do you want a change of manager?
And who is the blonde one in the middle – name escapes me but if Flamini was to go – fuck he is going – then he’d be a classy replacement..
And whilst we’re at it what about that other guy up front – kaka whathisname
When Wenger goes he should go – bring back DD for the back office
FTR we owe AW another year but he has to buy and buy smart 3 or 4 times in the summer – if not it just won’t happen
scuba – damn right!! sure as hell wouldnt have happened
Pedro – undecided, either get a tactician in who will assist both him and Pat Rice, or move him upwards to continue watching profit margins and get the tactician to manage!
Thoughts?!
Fuck – is this a one man blog!!
Ambrosini is too old and slow to partner Cesc after Flamster you jus cant go for anything slower.
I dont want a new manager but if he continues wtih his stubborness then we will have to start thinkin of the unthinkable,he might actually say coz we have gained experience this season we will be better than we were jus as we are which would be utter BS
What does PR do – other than the pre match warm up?
Ambrosini – that’s the one – no I think he’d do a good job…
If not him, who else?
one more yr is logical but i just dont see him buying more than 2players!!
scuba, still with you mate!
Ambrosini is as slow as fuck, wouldnt have him! but then again so are most of Milan’s team.
Pirlo!
we need someone with energy and a hunger i know that jus describes Flamster but i jus dont know i cant have us buying another 2year plan kinda guy i want a ready made replacement
we cud have Diarra back????ha ha
Maybe if the Flamster goes we should stick Toure in midfield alongside Cesc and buy a centre back, Micah Richards pherhaps?
how about that tall Porto Argentinian??wats his name??
Just read that since our unbeaten season the chavs and manwho have spent a combined £253.33M to push a head of us and the scousescum have spent £100.57M – it was written by Martin Samuel – I think he was too embarrassed to mention what we had spent……. so EPL wise we’ve stayed ahead of the scousers but we haven’t caught the other 2 well actually; we’ve let them go past us – is spending £50m -£60M really too much to ask?
defenders – Onuoha,Richards,Curtis Davies,Wheater – all quick young English players that could learn the art of defending off Keown and improve as players.
Abroad – Nesta, Metzelder (is he injury prone too?) at Madrid, have seen a few decent defenders in serie a, just cant remember any at the mo!!!
Why did we let Diarra go…..that has to be an AW fuckup
i suggested Kolo move to DM, but got told he’s not as energetic and dynamic as the flamster!!! We’ve had one good season from him, and all of a sudden he’s the prototype for a world class DM!!
Odub – I think Le Grove should send you and me on a scouting trip to Italy – maybe stop off on the way back in Amsterdam?
i think we need to be ruthless as a club and let some players go,otherwise we will lose pple like Clichy and Cesc….Senderos and Eboue will never be up to the standard they say CB get better with age but why cant we get a better young one and not someone average like Senderos??
stop all these conversions becoz they havnet worked for all these years and i think that proves that its something that needs to be addressed
Yeah; can we stop with the dynamic energetic thingy – sometimes he runs around clueless as well….. and one season doesn’t make it right!!
Tell me about it Odub!
One season doesn’t not make a great player and two seasons of the same still wouldn’t put him in the same league as Paddy.
Kolo moving to mid is an idea but i dont think his passing range is that good his good at running with the ball and going past one or two but i dont quite see him making that position his
Too many gooners are focusing on goal number 3…the penalty.
If goals 1 and 2 were prevented, we would have qualified.
How many times over the past 12 games have we let in more than 1 goal? 4 times, 33.3%.
We’ve struggled against Middlesbrough and Aston Villa……..at home, teams where we should be getting 3 points.
Looking back at our results, there is one match which stands out as the beginning of the end of the season.
The Tottenham loss.
Arsene’s backup plan has always been to give the young guns a bit of bird seed by giving them a run in the Carling cup, and then expect them to be reliable players in our time of need.
It was indeed the Carling cup route that paved the way for Arsenal’s “New Generation”, but we can’t go on trying to rinse the same fruit machine every time, there needs to be a more diverse path forward.
The timing was disastrous, right at the end of the close of the transfer window, and it looked like a blip until the season got funky and we needed the assistance of our second string.
Proof of the pudding….the loss against Manyoo.
Lets quickly examine our ideal first 11 (from current Arsenal players) and who is available should they be unable to play.
Almunia
Backup = Lehmann, Fabianski = sufficient.
Clichy
Backup = Traore = insufficient
Gallas, Toure
Backup = Senderos (sufficient) Djourou (insufficient)
Sagna
Backup = Justin Hoyte, Eboue (insufficient)
Rosicky (insufficient for first team action due to ongoing medical complications)
Backup = Eboue (insufficient) Walcott (sufficient)
Fabregas
Backup = Gilberto (insufficient). No real attacking midfielder to speak of in the squad.
Flamini
backup = Gilberto (borderline), Alex Song (borderline)
Hleb
Backup = Diaby (insufficient)
Adebayor, RVP (needs to be used as backup due to ongoing medical complications)
Backup = Walcott (sufficient), Bendtner (insufficient)
With at least two insufficient players in the first string, five in the second string and two borderline we are seriously short, that’s almost a third of our squad.
We need:
2 right wingers (Rosicky + backup)
1 backup left winger
2 strikers (One first team, one backup)
1 backup left back
1 backup right back
1 backup centre back
1 backup attacking midfielder
We already have Nordveit and Carlos Vela, so right wing backup and centre back backup look sorted.
We need to buy 2 first team players, right wing and a striker. We need to get the very best available for those two positions.
The rest of the backup can be selected using Wenger’s eye for quality bargains.
Bendtner,Gilberto, Hoyte and Eboue should be sold and replaced.
Djourou and traore should be sent out on loan.
Keep training Diaby, Song and Denilson and give them another season to develop.
RVP should be used as an impact player, replacing Bendtner. A top draw striker needs to be brought in for RVP.
So Almost half our squad needs tweaking and adjustment, if we sort the above out, we can make it.
For Wenger to buy two top quality players isn’t much to ask for, and quality up and coming players as backup.
And that’s assuming we manage to keep hold of Fabregas and Flamini, in which case we would need four first class players, almost half the first team replaced.
Arsenal’s balance is extremely fragile, and I believe that Wenger will realise what is wrong, bring some top quality in for the key positions needed Sagna and Eduardo style.
We don’t have to spend a fortune but we need some top class additions.
Wenger needs to go for the best he can get, no compromises.
And please……lets stop playing Eboue on the right wing.
We currently have two players playing out of position in our first team. We need proper backup, not makeshift solutions.
oh and he had half a season as a decent left back, and that was it really!!
casicky I said to a mate last night that I didnt like the look on Cesc’s face at the end, it almost said, ‘fuck it I’m getting fed up with this!!’ The boy def cares, just watch that manic look he gets when we score, he did again after both goals, close to tears he looked!
It would just be soul destroying if he,clichy, and even say Theo decided they needed to go elsewhere for a chance to win things.
Scuba, I would def be up for it mate!! I’d even get a Mr T style knock serum to get over the flying phobia thingybob!
everyboy is depicting Usmanov as this monster .. what about fiszman .. he is a bloody diamonds dealer .. now if i am right, a lot of that stuff comes from places like Sierra Leone .. u know that movie with Dicaprio etc .. does that make him less of a monster than usmanov .. not sure that diamonds dealing is the cleanest job in the world
what do these fukkers want from us?? how can they tolerate this season after season .. not mentioning Edelman here who is an abject yessayer and idiot
I reckon we need Dein back .. dein fell out with the board because he wanted success .. basically he wanted someone to pay for our stadium
he wasnt ready to sacrifice success for a piece of fukking concrete
I rather have Usmanov than some slimy dividends gobbing yank .. look at the scousers scum ..they want their yanks out desperatlely
at least Usmanov doesnt need our money .. and we will get the best players to watch at lower tickets prices .. sounds good to me .. with Dein at the steering wheel .. and whatever dikkhead coach we can get ..
two seasons wont make him as good as Paddy i agree but he has brought a bite to the mid and has struck up a good partnership with Cesc and starting over is not good esp if we now know we are through the transition stage.
****knockout serum that is!!
mind you wouldnt need any for the way back via Amsterdam!!!
finestcut .. our performances went down big time after the ManU game .. believe you me, that game had a massive impact on our season ..
Other good defenders in Italy include, Barzagli, Zaccardo, Stendardo. Pasqual. Oddo, Bovo and Coda. But to be honest defenders are all well and good but signing someone like Ronaldinho, Adriano, Villa or Mancini would really make the premier league sit up and take notice of us and excite us fans aswell.
Must admit I’m very surprised G4L is allowed to get away with posting in here. The guy is a complete d***, anyone wanting an idea of his ‘Arsene Knows’ status should just go read vital arsenal. He along with a couple of others caused me to leave that site as nobody could have an opinion unless it was to say how wonderful Arsene is!! Once again its clear he is an Arsene fan not an Arsenal fan.
This pointless argument they come up with that buying players isn’t the answer (I wonder where they got that gem from) is quite frankly pathetic. Which teams keep winning their domestic leagues?? Man Utd, Chelski, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich. Now what do all these teams have in common?? They spend big money!! Sure every now & then another team will come along & win a trophy without spending so much but its few & far between & in the main they disappear as quickly as they appeared.
G4L in his very sarcastic post made a point that Arsenal aren’t on a level with the European giants that I’ve mentioned already, well the reason for that is because Arsenal haven’t won the CL & thats because we’ve never had the quality of player to win it & the reason for that?? ARSENE DOESN’T SPEND ANY MONEY!!
Finest cuts, couldn’t agree more… nice piece.
BB… I’ve read up on those boys at DeBeers and they make Usmanov look like a saint!
Fact is, someone is getting rich off the profits Arsene doesn’t spend!
Michael agree wholeheartedly but if you mean…
Adriano(inter) mostly overweight, and now been loaned back to his first team in brazil
Villa – not setting the world on fire with Valencia, in fact they’re struggling at the mo
Mancini – too many step overs for me.
I’d rather have
Kaka – will never happen!!
Pirlo – as above
Luis Fabiano – might do, good goal scoring record
Diego – looks like a kaka in the making
Ashley Young – no comment required
Michael Essien – OK forget who he plays for for a sec, and think…him or flamster?!
if last night was bad i have a feeling this sunday theres going to be a burial…the heads are down and well we all down alot of the guys are jus going to show up and jus coast through..
dont tell me they going to try and play well for the fans coz its way past that now its jus too way far from that..Eboue could have done that a while ago but why should he Wenger always picks him and i doubt he ever pulls him aside and says you should have pulled the ball for someone else becos u will never score from there..effin hell dont those guys kow what we fans go through???????
please consider Distin .. me reckons he is one of the finest defenders in the legue .. totally underrated ..
GMR .. spot on .. Ribery wanted to come to Arsenal after the world cup .. didnt happen .. then his price goes up and what happens .. Wenger gets the shiits
he is a hero in Germany .. fukking hell .. what does it take for Wenger to be such a stingy kunt..
dont get it .. imagine Anelka in our side since january .. how many goals would he have bagged?? he knew our system .. the sitter that Ade missed last night, he would have scored it blindfolded .. its so frustrating .. we get what we deserve .. fukk all
Yes BB, the Manyoo game confirmed that it wasn’t just a blip, we got hammered again.
We can’t be struggling against M’boro and the Villains at home if we want to consider ourselves a PL title contender. Indeed those 6 points would have put us on par with Manyoo pointswise, then the real test of are we better than Manyoo would be crucially significant.
I doubt we’ll win at Old Trafford, another draw looks on the cards, our recent form doesn’t really give us a platform to be a serious claimant against the current Champions.
if his got such good scouts why cant they get us a Vidic???Distin would be absolutly ideal his a leader and a proper defender but his wage would ask a lot and WE DONT BREAK THE BANK DO WE???
Mancini has crazy step overs too many maybe but i like him he has end products and Wenger mould him stariaght..Metzelder is another there jus so many why cant he jus buy one…
Why wont Wenegr jus shut his mouth sometimes???all that talk bout how we gon win the double WHY NOT JUS SHUT UP!!
Odub – like your Essien thought – would Pirlo not be too much like Cesc as playmaker?
BB – Distin; good option and I’m assuming price wise he’d fit AW thoughts. Ribery should have been ours…. so should Babel
Finestcuts – I’m dreading Sunday – I’ll settle for a draw now!! Boro/Villa/Wigan & Brum should have been 12 not 4 points
scuba good point re Pirlo, he would however be useful in a 4-5-1 wouldnt he, and other than RYP(almost perma injured), we havent got any other deadball specialists.
I like the Distin suggestion too. under rated until he started playing with Sol 9 so yes it does pay to have some experienced heads around to learn off doesnt it?!!)
SHOULD HAVE BEEN…THATS WAT LOSERS SAY AND BOY ARE WE LOSERS.
to be fair once to Arsene the stinger, essien was a typical player destined for us .. but then the blood sucking money from West London took over the world .. he is nowhere near worth 22MM quid what they paid for him
and on his way down
I urge Wenger to sell Kolo as I reckon he has now had one average and one bad season in a row .. he is past his best
Yeah GMR… I didn’t see the sarcasm until it was too late… then I kept it up.
He kept it friendly, so I didn’t see the harm.
I’ve been given the run down on a few posters by Ethan and BB.
Geoff will be back soon policing the site like the Blog Secret police… you wont even notice him doing it!
How about Robinho? He’s not happy at his playing time? What about this Mancini bloke for Roma… check him out tonight. Or Elano?
http://101greatgoals.magnify.net/item/C8V7G29QG586F0NH
What’s that Mexes(?) the Roma defender like?
Didn’t he come from Auxerre and wasn’t he another one we could’ve had?!
He got taken apart by Ronaldo… but who hasn’t been?!
We tried to sign him a few years back… he was the next big thing in France.
What about Adriano or Riquleme
mexes is one I dont like-not too good for us guys. still better than Phil
Robinho – yes
Mexes – not sure he’s good enough considering he doesnt even start for France (at one point Jon Alain Boumsong – yes him – started ahead of him!!)
Elano – good player, but hasnt really been consistent for city, although the whole teams having a ‘mare at the mo.
scuba .. watch him 2nite .. me thinks a bit of a fancy boy .. could be light weight for EPL .. dont think he would put his face in front of the furniture remover’s boot
Robinho is my absolute favorite .. will we get him?? apparently his agent claimed we stuck a bid in for him last season .. lets pray he doesnt get much palying time till the end as othwerwise he wont come ..
any chance he will buy a 10 years old thai ladyboy??
am i being cheeky askin for a summary?
West Yorkshire Police have been questioning Shannon Matthew’s mum.
Not about Shannon’s disappearance, but about how the fuck she got 5 different men to shag her.
Sorry, i’m so fucked off I thought i’d try to cheer us up.
Pedro,
Riquelme’s almost finished Robert Pires now plays his role for Villareal, and he got shipped back to argentina somewhere, and same re Adriano.
I haven’t played Champ Man for a long time Odub… so out of touch!
Did you read about the age problem with Kanu? No one is sure how old he is… but Harry reckons he is way older than 31… so they are only giving him 1 year contracts.
You were talking about that the other day Odub?
Martins is about 30 for sure… he reckons he is 22!
Could this be good?
http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/sport/arsenal/arsenalnews/display.var.2183972.0.gunners_linked_with_reyes_mark_ii.php
Pedro,
We’ll let you off mate, seeing as you have other bits to worry about like cnut watch on here!!!
Not surprised re the age issue, i lived in the same neighbourhood briefly as a guy called Sunday Oliseh(played for Inter and Dortmund) , and I know he’s at least 4/5 years older than me, and he apparently retired in 2006 aged 31!!!!!! Fcuk off!!!
haha!
I remember him, Ajax as well… Nigerian chap!
It does show you that age is sometimes a state of mind…
That is another thing that is getting on my nerves at Arsenal… you get to 30 and you get the boot.
I think we should offer longer contracts to 30 year olds. Ok, fine when you are 34+… but a 30 year old still has some years left in him!
Yeah that’s the fella! Couldnt stop laughing when I saw the article.
Do agree re the over 30′s, so what they’re basically saying is someone like Nesta(32) or say Ballack same age are only worth a one year deal?!! Doesnt make sense at all!!!
ROBBBB ….Capel has been mentioned in whispers but to quaote the local Guardian a s a source is not appropriate, they are the “respectable” form of tribalfootballl.com
ie. All the news they print regarding such “potential” deals comes from secondary sources. They might have a bit of inside info on the Daggers transfer moves
I agree Pedro -we miss Pires so much and hes having great year -best Vill player nowadays. But ussualy when 30 they want 4 year contracts which is too much I wouldnt give Lunberg or even Henry 4 year contracts on 30 …
Zidane was at his peak at around 33-34. Pires is still doing a good job and so is Sol Campbell.
Its bad business to ditch players when they get to thirty.
It just doesn’t make sense – look at DB10 – still a genius at 37!!
Look at Gary Speed; that cunt’s got be as old as me!!! Oh, I’m 23
finest cuts, to be fair he only asked “could this be good”
proven stars will elminate a lot of fears for next season, no matter who he buys he will let them climitise first which adds to our frustrations as if that wass possible,
I’d say base it on recent form. If you have a top quality player who is 30+, keep giving him one year contracts like we have for Lehmann. A player knows that when his career is over at Arsenal, that there will always be suitors trying to attract well educated football talent to their struggling team.
Freddie used to earn 40k with us… went to west ham and he now gets 40k… over 4 years!
That’s nuts.
So how does Almunia end up with a 4 year deal?!!
He’s really only 26!! Goalkeeper – AW takes a diffferent view
Yeah and I’m 15 and never owned a razor!
If you are below 30, they will offer you a contract into your thirties… e.g. Thierry getting a 4 year deal at 28.
After 30… you have to work in the Armoury to get your wages.
Who does your noggin Odub?
goalkeepers arguably get in their best years at 30-thats why. Or at least their careers usually last longer- 35-37
Chaps I’m off, via quick stop at the hungry horse for a couple!!
Apologies for previous colourful language in first of today’s posts (just looked back, and damn do I look like a maniacal maniac!!)
hope Roma and Schalke pull of miracles tonight!
Have a good one grovers!!
just saw that Steve, whatchutalkingbout?!
A 30 year old goalie is the equivalent of a 25 year old outfield player.
Lehmann is 38, James is 37, Friedel is 36, Hahnemann is 35……thirty is a good age to give a goalkeepper a serious contract.
You’re right Pedro, those arsewipes would have been dumped if I was policing, I’m back and will be tomorrow.
Football clubs exist for one reason, to win Silverware. Absolutely nothing else, if there is another reason know alls, then pray tell me.
We don’t exist to play nice football, charge a shed load to watch and buy no one.
If these people believe that then they should read arsenal.com and not this blog.
3 seasons with no silverware is totally and absolutely unacceptable, so if he does nothing in the off season, I will be calling for his head, the gloves are off now Arsene.
guys tell me smting-have you seen anything like it,because I havent.
From last week CL games all of the teams didnt deserve to get the good results they got -its really strange.
Mancs were totally dominated by Roma ….2-0
Schalke04 made really good game against Barca……..
Chelski had a lot of chances but…got beaten 2-1
And should I mention the fourth game……
Its really weird. Football gods gone mad or what?
You said that you don’t own a razor.
Your head don’t shave itself.
Ignore me. I’m being silly.
Geoff, the pressure got to much… I just couldn’t cope!
Glad to have you back!
Did you win?
Its been a good day altogether, plenty of ranting and plenty of ideas!
Its all bollox, just come back from a meeting , got busted by a stupid bastard that until today i did not know even liked football. Bloody typical !!!
A spud, an no it all and a couple of Arsene knows bloggers, what gives, you know the rules!
It upsets the genuine Grovers. And me.
I was surprised we didn’t try & sign up Distin last summer as he was on a free. At least he would’ve made a decent back-up. I still think we should have gone for Micah Richards, he’s a man mountain & has pace. He may make the odd mistake at the moment but he also has the pace to rectify them unlike Ponderous. For the past two seasons Wenger has talked about our defence lacking maturity, talked about them being naive & also talked about them making silly mistakes, yet what has he done to solve the problem?? Nothing!!
Liverpool’s first goal last night will live with me forever. I honestly think it’s the worst bit of defending I have ever seen from a so called defender. Turning your back on a corner & watching the opposition when it’s your job to clear the ball is beyond words. If it had been a striker or even midfielder you could understand it more, but not from a defender. If Wenger does nothing else he should sack the cu*t.
dont fuck with the bear, dont you know this!!!
