I am deeply envious of you guys going to the game. It will be a night to remember.
As to the team, I don’t think it matters who is playing. What matters is the spirit of the team in what will be a cagey game. We cannot afford to be too gung-ho, and yet have to put them under considerable pressure. I hope to see the lads try some long range shots, and not walk it in as usual. L’pool have a fine defence, and it will not be easy to pass our way through it. Also, they will play very deep and attempt to nullify any pace we have on the flanks, so we will have to try other methods.
I fancy us to win this 1-0 or 2-1. Kolo to score, and maybe RvP.
I say 2-0 to the us, Theo running their back line ragged!!!! RvP with both goals and Torres to have just as an effective game as he did against the Mancs( don’t remember hearing his name during that game).

We have to be humble and not say all kinds of things.After the AC win some Arsenal players said they could win both the pl and cl. I had my doubts then and still am doubtful if they can pull off the cl.
I think the pl is gone with the wind considering the thin squad prior to Eduardo’s injury. I am not 100% convinced the defence is as solid as i n 2006.If you have a forward running at the defenders it can cause chaos as has been evident in some matches.
Until such time as we have won then can we say oh we are going to win the cl.Make no mistke Pool aint as dumb as Bolton to let slip a two goal cushion. Their counter attack with the gunners defence so high up means one thing is for sure. The gunners will concede goals.

Everything isn’t as rosy as they are trying to make out either Wolfgang. Bear in mind that they created very little at Anfield against 10 men for most of the match and only scored 2 late goals. It was the same story in the San Siro and played most of the match again against 10 men. The only difficult game they have had recently they lost 3-0 and barely got out of their own half.

Geoff, i understand what your saying, but if we concede early and first (which we have been doing a lot lately) because we have gone all out attacking from the start we are well and truly screwed, it works both ways. You don’t even have to win either game to go through in europe, just don’t concede at home and score draw away. We can win 3-2 at home and go out to a 1-0 at anfield just as easily. Of course if we can have a goal advantage going to anfield it would be brilliant. Its just that if they can get even a score draw tonight its going to be very tough for us at anfield.
Also we have to win the Liverpool Prem game at home at the weekend so we have to play 442 with RVP up with Ade. RVP’s first game back was Wigan on 9th March, since then he has played 60 mins against Boro, 76 mins against Chelsea, full games against Bolton and for Holland in quick succession. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him on the bench tonight, coming on if we need him or maybe around 70 mins. He will play 90 mins on Saturday and who know, probably 90 on Tuesday and another 90 on Sunday against Man U. Arsene tried to rest Ade at Bolton, he only brought him on because he had to, i think he was resting him so he had the energy to play as lone striker in a 451 tonight. The Prem title is still a target for us, we have to win all the Prem games and only qualify for the next round of the CL, we don’t even have win eithe rgame against Liverpool, just get past them.
And this is just an opinion for people to read, think about, diss, etc, as they see fit, I might be a lot of things but stupid isn’t one of them and i fucking love Arsenal so a bit of respect…
