Ok Grovers, Adebayor gets rested, Wenger speak for ‘I’m dropping him as he hasn’t scored in a long while and Bendtner has’ so he gets his chance with Robin.
Good call boss, it’s been a long time coming, we all agree here, it had to be done, and with the Pool games coming up, could be the toe up the arse our young African needs, not to mention what it could do for Bendtner’s confidence.
This kind of game is perfect for a big lump like super Nick, so Nick, if you’re reading, make the most of it son, step up to the plate and do us all proud.
I don’t think Bolton are the dirty bastards they used to be under the fat mannerless bung taking scumbag, and without Gardner and Nolan, they have lost a lot of testosterone, so I expect us to get back on track.
To be honest I think most of us have written the title off this year, so anything now and we’re in bonus territory, I looked at the table today and Liverpool are only 8 behind with Everton 2 behind them, now whilst that is a long way, don’t forget we have dropped 11 points in 5 games, so a win against Bolton is a must.
Wenger says he wants Flamini’s future sorted out by April so he’ll know who and what he needs to buy, that’s a little hint I think, but I hope the people that are responsible for this season long debacle learn from this, it cannot happen again, that’s 4 years of will he? won’t he? and as a fan it’s totally unacceptable.
It would be remiss of me to not thank all you Grovers for the record breaking day on the comments yesterday, a whopping 326, and all top banter so well done and keep it up, I think we can start pushing Arsenal now for what we want at the Grove, we represent a huge part of the stadium so will be putting together a plan with other sites to do something about the atmosphere, and we have a steward in our camp as well so we can get our point across through him with regards to slack cutting on match days, we will of course keep you informed.
This site is independent and takes no money from advertisers, it’s a love thing. We do this as Arsenal fans for Arsenal fans, so thanks for blogging and have a great day.
I’m going for 5 nil, bold I know, but some team, sometime are going to be on the end of the rogering we keep threatening, so why not today eh!

March 29, 2008 at 9:32 am
5-0? well i think we would settle for 1-0 considering our results lately. 1-0 to the nil arsenal with theo getting the winner
March 29, 2008 at 9:34 am
Just a thought, perhaps all this agent stuff with Cesc is why his form has dipped of late? maybe with a Dein looking after him he’ll stay at Arsenal for life and this Madrid/Barca shit won’t surface every year.
March 29, 2008 at 9:39 am
ill take 5-0 anyday Geoff. Bring it on, especially at the Reebok!
March 29, 2008 at 9:40 am
i wont be staying up to watch tonight as i have a work training course this weekend, so i pray to wake up in the morning and see a win, otherwise it could be a long day at the training course!
March 29, 2008 at 9:42 am
Yeah Evo, but a short one when we win eh!
March 29, 2008 at 9:52 am
Almunia
Eboue-Toure-Gallas-Clichy
Walcott-Flamini-Fabregas-Hleb
Bendtner-Van Persie
Subs:Lehmann-Senderos-Diaby-Adebayor-Denilson
Arsenal 2-Bolton 0
March 29, 2008 at 9:53 am
Come on Super Nick! Do it for the Anti-Adeboore club!!
March 29, 2008 at 9:53 am
yeah if we win, the beers at the pub after the training course will taste even better, especially if the replay is on, which it probably will be!
March 29, 2008 at 9:58 am
what does everyone reckon about buying a world class defender to replace toure and send toure back to midfield, or do we reckon toure has become the best CB possilbe?
March 29, 2008 at 10:03 am
Evo I think yesterdays blog the opinion was we need a world class centerback, a winger and a goalscorer, Kolo maybe should go into defensive midfield and let big Phil loose.
March 29, 2008 at 10:05 am
sounds like a plan! yeah ive been off the airwaves this week, had been trying to recover from the chavski game, so i missed the record chat from yesterday!
March 29, 2008 at 10:12 am
No you didn’t, you were on it! I’m now going to work so will be out for an hour, enjoy Grovers.
March 29, 2008 at 10:17 am
yeah but i was blind, so it doesnt count! Had a bit of a hangover today! Hahahahah
March 29, 2008 at 10:26 am
Hi Guys,
I must say I have been mistified by some of the team selections since the African Nations. Whilst both Toure and Eboue were away we were sparkling! I thinkit was a travesty to drop Phil just because Toure returned as he was playing extremely well and did not deserve it. Ok we all know that Toure is a great player for us who gives everything in every game, but surely there must be a point when Wenger realises that he and Gallas are just too similar and we need someone at the back who can head the ball!
As for Eboue, can anybody please tell me what he brings to the team, other than embarrassment? He isnt actually very good, and he is always liekly to get sent off. I am never one to ever get on the backs of anybody wearing our shirt but I am finding it very hard to support this guy. I truly hope he is one that is shown the door at the end of the season.
March 29, 2008 at 10:33 am
Clearly Senderos IS IN FORM, probably our best centre half at the moment. I believe the team should be:
Almunia,
Toure Senderos Gallas Clichy
Eboue Flam Fab Hleb
RVP Bendtner
With this team 2 0 to Arsenal. Should Eboue play at left back the score will be a score draw.
March 29, 2008 at 10:36 am
if flamini goes hw abt
almunia
sagna lucio senderos/m richards clichy
hleb fabregas toure rosicky
van persie STRIKER?
gallas and toure; thts 2 short centrebacks tht hv
let in too many goals.
toure goin in mid means a lot of energy going forward and great cover for defence,…
but hw abt Song and denilson???
Ade, has improved,,,,but for all the chances we create, he hasnt done enough.
Plus he’s growin an ego!
March 29, 2008 at 10:38 am
Morning all!!
Finally! It’s official, Arsene reads Le Grove!
He has heard our cry to drop ade and done the right thing!!
Come on Nicky B!!!
Top post again Geoff, and well done to all for the record day yesterday. Off out and will catch up during the game.
March 29, 2008 at 10:48 am
i agree with skin on startn XI esp in defence
BUT…….
eboue doesnt help the midfield cause;
he is one dimensional , and walcot also
has a problem in tht he can only use his ryt
foot.
hence a future world player shld play ryt wing
NACER BARAZITE
March 29, 2008 at 10:56 am
Drop Hleb as well!
My team:
Almunia.
_Toure- Senderos- Gallas- Clichy.
_ Theo- Flamini- Song (Cesc)- Eboue.
_ RVP- Bentner.
Bolton 1- Arsenal 3.
March 29, 2008 at 11:20 am
Thanks Odub, much appreciated! Guys I’m sorry about the delay in the new bloggers comments, you should be okay now, I’m in and out today as is Pedro so bear with us.
I’m getting excited and nervous at the same time, a bit like drinking vast quantities of beer at the top of the Empire State building sitting on the edge of the parapet…if that makes sense!
If it doesn’t don’t worry, its just how I feel.
I’ll be back later.
March 29, 2008 at 11:22 am
Ic..I think you have it just right. If Arsene wants to win well he has to start with this formation.
I hope that right now Aw is nogotiating for two world class tall centre bags , who also have some pace. Its now my opinion that all that is wrong and has gone wrong this season can be laid at the door of a sloppy, soft centre of our defence. In Sagna/Clichy we have probably the best full backs in the UK…..Our midfield & forwards constanly put other top teams to the sword ie; Chelski only to suffer from fatal mistakes via Gallas & Kolo and of course the usual bias of the refs against AFC.
Arsene if one day you do decide to read what we the fans think…I hope you realise that somtimes a favourite or two are not necessarily good for the rest of the team.
March 29, 2008 at 11:25 am
We should play our Carling Cup team. They would beat the Northern Monkeys and we would not pick up any unneccesary injuries.
And Walcott will have a stormer this afternoon. A forward line of Theo, Nic and RvP is powerful stuff indeed.
March 29, 2008 at 11:26 am
record day for le grove now how about a record tally of goals at an away game from the boys?!?
great news about ade, it will be good for him in the long run, (ros)sick note has been speakin up regarding our chances and good on him 2, didnt he use to play for us?
March 29, 2008 at 11:35 am
don’t agree that there should be an anti adebyor club.where would we be without his goals this year. The bloke is just knackered. Now an anti Eboue club please vote me in as president
March 29, 2008 at 11:50 am
I agree Paul, we seem to forget that Adebayor has improved every aspect of his game this season, he has scored loads of goals and has had a dip in form. He still scares the crap out of all defenders he plays, and he and RVP are the best we have up front. Lets face it Henry and Wrighty both had weeks without scoring but we never jumped on their backs and Ade is young too! I just dont get where you guys who are calling for his head are coming from, there has been times this season when he has carried the team!
March 29, 2008 at 12:05 pm
Hi guys and thanks again Geoff for mentioning me as a steward, please though look at me for my opinion on the guys too. Obviously we need to stick by the clubs rules, however the atmosphere would be fantastic witha bit more colour. Like the DB10 testimonial and the Brazil/Sweden game in the week. The club let guys have flags on Wednesday night but usually there aren’t many at our matches. The scarf waving looks the nuts from where I am at the opposite end, and if the players see that then it must lift them. As for noise I don’t know, standing up doesnt mean more noise. Sitting with other noisy people like me would help. Please don’t sing stand up if you hate (that lot down the road), they really are irrelevent. I know its used to get guys standing but dont say their fucking name in our Stadium. I have an interesting story about myself lobbing out 3 Mancs earlier this season but you might think I am a steward cunt if I told you.
March 29, 2008 at 12:09 pm
I agree on the Eboues case, he is not worthy of playing for Arsenal, likely to be sent of in every game and likely to do somthing nasty. He is a dirty player as JT can confirm. Even if you don not like JT he dose not deserve to be hurt on purpose like he was.
So sell him and get in a world class player it is a long time since one has been bought.
March 29, 2008 at 12:14 pm
Adebayor is plainly tired guys, he is a good player. We miss sicky more than anybody to help open teams up like Bobby used to do and also chip in with the odd goal. Sicky also defends reasonably well. Our whole midfield defend well and get the ball back pretty quickly. Its defence where we have a problem. When other teams go long and bypass the defence it puts us on the back foot and the lone striker usually scores because we have the worst keeper in the Prem. Eboue shouldn’t be at Arsenal its simple. Theo doesn,t help defend and he runs into players instead of past them. Put Theo up the middle with a big fella and let RVP roam the wings as TH14 used to do. Best combination play all season was when Cesc, Hleb Sicky and the Flamster are together. Fucking slick with an end product. We need a world class winger though.
March 29, 2008 at 12:16 pm
Love Kolo lots as a player but he is not a CB. He gets pulled around to much. Big Phil should be there with a quick CB to pick up the pieces.
March 29, 2008 at 12:17 pm
The anti-adebayor club are simply gooners with no tactical understanding of football.if not they would understand why wenger said”we are in trouble” when v-persie got injured.ADEBAYOR is not a 9 he is a 8( in case they do not understand that means a supporting striker)this is the role rooney plays. How many goals has rooney got this year?I dont hear people condemning him.Can van persie hold up play?,and bendtner?
March 29, 2008 at 12:20 pm
The thing about sitting down El Tel is it’s really difficult to sing, even in Church they stand up to sing (or so my mum says) when Red Nose told the Old trafford crowd there was no rule about sitting down to sing, they all stood up when singing and the atmosphere improved dramatically, it has to be worth 10 points a season, see if you can arrange a meeting of like minds with your bosses, I’ll go anywhere.
Don’t forget we are the most blogged site now! we speak for a lot of Arsenal fans.
March 29, 2008 at 12:24 pm
How about this for the Summer.
Mad Jens out Buffon in
Gilberto out Kaka in
Eboue out SWP in
Huntellar in
Quaresma in
Richards in
March 29, 2008 at 12:25 pm
Rexes, no one is anti Ade, we’re saying he needs to be dropped, his first touch has left him, we know it won’t last and a rest will benefit him.
He may have scored a lot, but our point is he could have made a lot more, but he doesn’t look for the pass, Birmingham would have been done and dusted had he passed to Bendtner, he didn’t and then our bad run started.
March 29, 2008 at 12:31 pm
Hahaha… Geoff, Just come off Wrighty 7’s blog, you wouldnt believe how Anti-Le-Grove things are over there… its crazy.
Nice to see a post about something other than transfers. It infers there is news. Great move by Wenger, Ade is clearly longing for a rest.
Im tipping 3 goals for us tonight, RvP, Nick and Theo. that is, if theo comes on befor the 85′th min…
March 29, 2008 at 12:32 pm
What’s wrighty 7’s blog? RVP fan?
March 29, 2008 at 12:34 pm
You have it in your blog role, i actually traced his blog from my comments… anyway, from what i read, it seems people are anty le grove. One person said you just offend arsenal fans!
March 29, 2008 at 12:35 pm
BlogRoll**
March 29, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Geoff I know what your saying as I stand up and sing loud whenever I go away. ARSENAL can’t change this rule as its the Government and local authorities who enforce it. The Mancs had an whole section closed a year or two ago mate. The ARSENAL are not totally responsible for the worst fucking rules mate. They have to get a licence form Islington council to enable to open the ground. If the Stewards don’t do what they are told they threaten to take our licence away or close sections of the ground. The Government banned smoking and the Government set the rule for no alcohol in view of the pitch. It was way back in the dark days when violence ruled that Lord Taylor (relation of turnip) probably set out these rules. The ARSENAL rules are ridiculous ones like no national flags, no phoots while the match is taking place and do not breath to much are annoying. I will join any decent Football fan in protest of these rules being changed and so too would most stewards. They should give it a test run and if the violence returns then go back to how it is now. Wouldn’t any young guy love to be sucked in by the crowd atmosphere and the opportunity to go with pals and family. I feel sorry for the little kids when people stand at the moment. Otherwise I agree with standing.
March 29, 2008 at 12:40 pm
I love LE Grove and I took a bashing the other day by you regular chaps. But we all care and love our team. Big Raddy is probably the real thing.
March 29, 2008 at 12:42 pm
The other sites let imposters on and I can’t satnd fucking Mancs or Spuds.
March 29, 2008 at 12:43 pm
RVP it’s funny that the same person is slagging us, and it’s funny that the same gutless wonder is ‘anonymous’ I think it’s another blog site jealously posting.
Bit sad really because the site is a good one, if the blogger had any guts he”d use his real name wouldn’t he! But well done to Wrighty’s 7 for telling them to stop it.
It should still be challenged El Tel, it makes no sense, teracing should be allowed back as well, that would solve the ticketing problem and the singing in one, and I know that’s not illegal.
Anyway I really have to go now but Pedro will be back at 3, so have fun Grovers.
March 29, 2008 at 12:47 pm
Or Chavs,Micky Mousers. Pie eaters. I don’t like anyone. Oh except the ARSENAL and our family
March 29, 2008 at 12:50 pm
Hi guys, not around for long, so just wanted to say how pleased i am AW has finally admitted Ade needs a rest - methinks he must read this forum!
We need a good result today. Big time.
COME ON THE GOONERS
March 29, 2008 at 12:51 pm
Ok Geoff take care. If its not illegal mate then why do all English clubs endorse it. I am confused now. Maybe you can enlighten me when you get a chance mate. Anyone else out there who knows why. ARSENAL say its to do with Islington Council and the licence.
March 29, 2008 at 12:53 pm
Hi Chipo mate are you King Liam ? Agree totally. COME ON TH ARSENAL lets be (oops) twat. Lets get into em.
March 29, 2008 at 12:56 pm
with less than 10 games to go, they are probably the true test for arsene this season.
i am hopeful for a silverware nonetheless.
March 29, 2008 at 12:59 pm
the guy is ry@n whom is slagging le grove off, he was offensive to all the readers so steps were taken,
March 29, 2008 at 1:13 pm
only 5-0? im hoping for 7 or 8.
March 29, 2008 at 1:20 pm
It really worries me when Arsenal fans call for the likes of Senderos and Bendtner to help save the season. They are not clas players and shouldn’t even be at Arsenal …Senderos is like a scared rabbit every time quality defenders run at him and makes too many stupid mistakes (yes overall much more than Gallas and Toure) and as for Bendtner …does he really want to play for Arsenal or does he just come on the pitch for a stroll around ……. If we are really relying on players like these two then we are in serious shit.
March 29, 2008 at 1:38 pm
anybody watch the fans forum on arsenal tv last night?
March 29, 2008 at 2:25 pm
Anyone know the team?
March 29, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Just 5 minutes to kick off. The team looks tasty, though I would like to have seen Theo. Just about to open the first beer of the day, and have on all the lucky stuff. Took the lucky walk down to the Mermaid and it is fucking parky here today. So, I couldn’t show the colours . That should guarantee the win
Come on you rip roaring Gunners
March 29, 2008 at 3:58 pm
rubbish-same old sh.t. when we r gonna learn our lessons. 2 shots -2 goals-Its too much to digest. Diaby is a no-braner as eboue. Gallas lost his luck totally. in our attack he obstructed us scoring goal, and on the other side he deflected the ball in his oun net-horror!!
March 29, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Wooooo Hooooo!
March 29, 2008 at 4:56 pm
Been in bed with a bug for last three days -feel a lot better now -The king of all comebacks eh -Fanfuckintastic
March 29, 2008 at 4:57 pm

this has kickstarted the CHARRRRRRRRRRRRRGE for the trophies
we will remain unbeaten for the season now
March 29, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Hope you’re right stupid!!
Fuck it I’m buzzing!! Probabably the alkihol!! Dont care, seems like we havent won in the league in years!! So im gon milk these 3 points for awhile!
Get well soon Mike, the 3 point’s will help a bunch!!
March 29, 2008 at 5:51 pm
Have been in the theatre in the west end and have been on my blackberry all the way through…. The show was good, but fuck me, I nearly jumped on the fuckin stage and took the leading role in a chorus of ‘we all follow the arsenal…’ When we got the winner. Going to the hotel bar in a bit once I’ve had me shower, then off to Scotts for dinner where I am going to order a fucking expensive bottle of wine that I will not appreciate (I’m pissed already!!!) In celebration!!!!
I think I have all the symptoms of depression… Low one minute, high as a kite the next…. Fuck me there is gonna be a lot of gooners at the quacks Monday collecting their beta blocker prescriptions!!!
Happy days again… At last !!!
March 29, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can watch motd tonight.
March 29, 2008 at 6:51 pm
The northern cunts are 4 up now. Hope they show our game first on motd then I can turn it off before the scum come on
March 29, 2008 at 6:55 pm
15 minutes left. Still time for the purtugese ladyboy to get injured!
March 29, 2008 at 7:23 pm
Just for the dick head who called Le Grove Ade Haters.
If you don’t start… you’ve been dropped.
If you can’t work that out… you don’t deserve to have your comment posted.
March 30, 2008 at 9:03 am
The point is that Nic isn’t really ready yet like Ade…thats the point. No matter whether you like Ade or not…he made a huge difference coming on and its safe to say is a better option than Nic (for now).
I do hope people will get off his back a bit. Like it or not…and whatever happens from now…he can look proudly at his contribution for us this season.
