Give Flamini a signing on fee and keep it quiet.

Ok, so Arsenal don’t want to upset the wage structure and I agree with that, if we lose Flamini, then whoever is in charge of player contracts should be fired, as you’ve done an appalling bit of business there, whoever you are.

If we do lose him, it will cost us £15mil at least to replace him, so my view is pay him £5mil in readies and tell no one, make him sign a confidentiality agreement and move on.

That should rectify the appalling decision not to have sorted this out before he became a free agent.

Even if they had given him a 2 year extension, we could have at least made some money out of it.

Big, big, day today and I am so nervous I’m thinking about asking Mrs Geoff if she wants me to help her this morning, yeah I know what you’re thinking, but that’s how bad I feel.

We need not to lose, but we should win if we want the Premier league, we can’t afford to slip further behind the Mancs, simple as that.

Frankly if we can’t beat the Chavs, we don’t deserve to be thinking of ourselves as Champions, to be the best you have to beat the best and our record of 15-5 wins over them in the Premiership, shows we are the best, it also shows when they became chavs, as before that they never won a game.

I have to believe we’re going to win, so I’m going for a 3-1 to the Arsenal day, I don’t care who plays but I would prefer to see Theo on for Eboue, with Nick coming on for impact, but there again I wouldn’t be against Nick being on with Ade from the start to rough the bastards up and bring Robin on for impact.

Eboue would be a huge mistake as he will be a target, but there again he may thrive on it, have his best game and score for once! so who knows eh? …maybe Arsene? I can’t believe I said that.

Have a great day Grovers, this is what it’s all about!

No lets start with Eboue, he will draw the fouls and get one or two of them booked, then we can slip on Theo to exploit the yellow carded players and run at their defence. If we are lucky he might even renew his frendhip with Terry, now would hat not be nice.

  2. Geoff Says:

Nice idea, but my fear would be if he reacted and got sent off, that’s what the ref would be looking for and a royal butt kissing decision like that would please the home fans no end.

  3. herdee string Says:

i agree with tt - break terry’s leg.

as for flamini - sorry don’t agree. sets a bad precedent. read today’s guardian - he’s a calculating little bugger at times. if he wants to go fuck him. why should we pay him a signing on fee when the reality is he’s played one decent season for us…

fuck chelsea. and fuck ashley cole - cocksucker.

  4. tt Says:

I don`t think he will react, he`s to cute for that, more danger that he`ll get hurt in a challenge. A lot will depend on Flamini and Fabregas if thy get hold on the midfield then a victory is almost in the bag, but the player we mst look to nullify is J.Cole, he is their most creative player.

  5. andy c Says:

i havent been this nervous pre game for a long time, walking round the house shouting “come on!”. if im pumped up then the players will be too, i really can see us winning this, if ade can sort his first touch out i think we will mureder them, i guarantee it gets messy between cesc lumpard/terry, they hate each other!

  6. casicky Says:

nah i think Eboue is an eccentric of tge eccentrics but today even he knows how important this is and he owes us…so i would start with him and then have Theo and Bendtner come on to terrorise some more.Flamini has been absolutly great for us but if he wants a big bucks then he knows his at the wrong place,it will be terribly unfair on the rest o the team that he has had one good season and sum of them have shown more consistency and then all of a sudden his getting paid more..um not up for increasing the wage package jus for Flamini…

We have to raise the wage package if we wanna be one of the greats thats a fact we could start with Flamini or we couyld let him go and from them on start the rest of the boys on higher wages we cant distabilise the team even for the Flamster..

    We Guuner Gunn Em…

  7. El Tommo Says:

Flamini - from what meagre information is available it would appear the problem is that he wants more money than we are prepared to pay him. It’s as simple as that. Balanced against his undoubted improvement this season and therefore his value to the team is the long term cost [and impact on the rest of the team] of a huge hike in salary. AW will be looking around at alternative players and weighing up how much they will cost vs Flamini. However he seems to be an important character beyond simply his playing ability - good friends with Cesc who obviously thinks he benefits from Flamini alongside him, and without question a committed and tenacious fighter … from the outside it looks to me like he is exactly the kind of guy we do not want to lose from the squad …. however he must do what he thinks right for his own career and if he can get significantly better wages playing elsewhere then who can blame him for wanting to do that? Not me. It begs the question though - and not for the first time - do we pay well enough? I was under the perhaps mis-guided notion that our wage level was competitive with most other clubs. If not then why not given our current financial prowess? Maybe it’s time to re-think how much we are willing to pay in order to keep our key players. Surely it’s better to keep a guy like Matty who is proven in the PL, has tons of potential, gets on well with the other players and offers a rare battling quality in the current side rather than take a risk on bedding in a new version?

Eboue - I worry about him today although he will play for sure, AW has announced as much and I doubt that Theo is the right choice to start out wide. If Eboue is targeted then i have to say I don’t trust him to keep a lid on it and when he loses it he really loses it which might cost us dearly. Dispense with any illusions that the Chavs will not try to exploit any perceived weaknesses - they will, and he is one.

I think it’ll be our first choice team with no surprises - RVP to start up front with Adebayor in a flexible 442/451 formation. I expect us to play very quick passing game from the off and to keep them at bay like that and try to get the first goal, tire them out a bit [difficult - they are a very fit side] and swap RVP and Eboue for Bendtner and Theo late on in the game.

The big concern for us is the form of Joe Cole who’se scoring regularly at the moment and seems to be developing with every game, plus the Anelka factor - he would enjoy scoring against us and I hope to see him on the bench.

It’ll be a tough game and we need to be at our very very best - if we are i think we win it, if not then we’ll get beaten.

  8. El Tommo Says:

Thinking about RVP - he hasn’t played out wide for ages but given the Chavs strength in central midfield is it possible that AW will produce a suprise formation, like this:

    Almunia
    Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy
    Eboue Fabregas Flamini RVP
    Hleb
    Adebayor

with Hleb opening up their defense and RVP cutting inside to shoot and support Adebayor when he can?

it would be a big suprise …

  9. Geoff Says:

Put Walcott out wide instead of Eboue and you have an interesting team there El Tommo

  10. nr790 Says:

after reading the boss ,s coments i cant think that v.persie will play on the left with hleb “the icecreamman” playing in the hole

  11. helldeathray Says:

Wenger should never have dropped Flamini for the Chapions League final and should have tied him to a long term deal that season. That’s when he demonstrated his class for me. But he’s not irreplaceable either. Diaby’s gagging for a run in the centre. And playing the midfield terrier is not the toughest job in the world, is it…?

  12. Geoff Says:

I have to agree again, Wenger should have said to Cole before the final, sign this 5 year deal or fuck off as I’m playing Flamini, should have done the same this season with Flamini, sign this 5 year deal or I’m playing Diarra.

Common sense to me, so Cole gets to play in the final then sticks his fingers up, strange decision that for Arsenal.

  13. Evo in Oz Says:

yeah that was the cunts that cold played that final…wanker@#%&!

  14. chris Says:

good morning grovers, does anybody haved a nails left, i fuckin hate havin to wait so long for this match(s)
this flamini thing is going on far too long, i am quite happy to give diaby a go next season, i am sick of it hanging over us, fuck off if you are going

  15. Evo in Oz Says:

its a big squad that wenger is choosing from for this game - 20 players…much more than any other game for ages. We just need diaby and rosicky back from injury and if we can win this one, the injuries could clear up in time to go all the way!

  16. RvP Fan Says:

Im going 2-1 with walcott sealing the deal in the mid 2nd half. We will win, i am sure of it.
Chris - Im finished on both hands and toes. Ive started pulling hair out!
But im confident of a win. Went out to see me Chelsea supporting cousins today. I think theyre more nervous than i am.. which proves to be a good sign. Just not another draw please!!!!!!!!

  17. chris Says:

rvp fan, nails grow back dude, this hair may not so i’d stick with the nails for now!
i can not take another draw,

  18. Evo in Oz Says:

spare a thought for me fellas, its 11pm here, 4 hours till the game!

  19. chris Says:

    yeah evo, you da man!

  20. El Tommo Says:

I suppose Wenger thought Cole was a better left back than Flamini at that time although I was surprised he played at all given his behaviour and lack of playing time. Have to agree with you boys about the contract offers though - we seem to have a tendency to leave things too late - wft?

Can Diaby step up to fill Flamini’s boots? I’m not convinced he can do it … yet. It’s a bit premature to be thinking about next season but we’re going to have some great talent on show next season with Vela coming back and Merida/Bazarite pushing for places. Hopefully Diaby will be able to show his ability. Has he played in central midfield at all this season? I don’t think so … and what about Denilson? He’s been out of the frame all season nearly. If flamini leaves along with Gilberto we’re going to be a bit lightweight in the middle, no?

  21. El Tommo Says:

    Keep the faith Evo!

  22. herdee string Says:

Are we going to win today boys? I need some convincing. I need to feel some words of comfort.

I also need to jack off before the game to calm my nerves. And maybe smoke a fat one…

  23. Mike (the neighbour) Says:

Fuck me geoff helping Mrs Geoffs thats beyond belief -I tried to help Mrs Mike to get in her good books but gave up last night and said I AM WATCHING THE GAME !!.-she stormed off to bed !!We have all the family round AT 4.00 pm and My sons wifes family is coming makes it difficult -Son in law (a gooner ) is trying as I type this to smooth things over so WE can watch it -If all else fails an expensive divorce will be thrown on to the table as a negotiating tool
I want Theo on early -Eboue is too high risk methinks and geoff this 3 fetish is getting on my tits -I think its gonna be close but not a draw Im gonna go for 2 1 to us .Nails thats a bloody luxury Ive gone beyond that - near knuckles at moment .
Must go and rehearse youll never walk alone and Ferry accross the Mersey and ive got the wonder of you on CD to play if and when Mrs Mike insists we sit down for dinner whilst match is on
THink ill be going to toilet geoff every thirty seconds and you know how hard this is for me -but not you
Good luck everyone -losing is not an option !!!!!!!!

  24. Mike (the neighbour) Says:

sorry guys the toilet thing was directed at geoff specifically -I am sure Evo in OZ can down 30 pints before going for a piss

  25. Geoff Says:

Don’t know what you mean Mike, but as I’m reading all your comments it seems Diaby is getting the nod over the Flamster, I’m not sure if he’s fit but he was the player that did the one two with Theo in the Worthless cup final, and from central midfield too, so maybe that’s the answer, it will leave us even shorter next term though.

  26. nr790 Says:

yeah me 2 i cant get to sleep (AUS) so i might just watch the scouse game

  27. Evo in Oz Says:

had a few early beers with dinner, but just slipping in a couple of waters at the moment and watching the Grand Prix replay and then back on the beers!

  28. chris Says:

never watch the pool for entertainment, you will always feel unclean after, however watching them do a number of the mancs is perfectly acceptable

  29. Evo in Oz Says:

Glad its a public holiday here tomorrow, no work for me! Otherwise if we lost (which we’re not going to) and i had to go to work the day would have been a write off (and the rest of the week)!

  30. Mike (the neighbour) Says:

THank you Chris for your blessing -I was thinking of going to confessional afterwards and asking for forgiveness however Now I have yours thats fine
Evo hope its warmer where you are -ive got 6 inches of snow on the drive way and in the South thats gridlock stuff
-Sorry geoff youre getting senile dementia -Better get Mrs geoffs to help you with your flies at half time .Son in law has a got a reult -Got at least til half time -I feel a san Miguel coming on and some Marlborough Sauvignon Blan (Dont worry Evo the red is Oz-Penfolds Koonunga hill shiraz cabernet ) and then the Jack Daniels to celebrate the win

  31. El Tommo Says:

Liverpool can hope for a draw especially if Ferdinand is out. Can’t see the Mancs losing at home to that shower. If it is a draw then we can be right on their tails by winning. Fast forward please!

  32. chris Says:

thats a nice mix mike, some one left vodka from scotland here, i may be tempted

  33. Mike (the neighbour) Says:

scottish vodka now thats a thought !!!

  34. Evo in Oz Says:

yeah the penfolds is a nice one, although it would be even better if it was the grange!

  35. Evo in Oz Says:

marlborough sav blanc is good, but shame its kiwi…hahahah!

  36. chris Says:

yeah evo, kiwi but damn fine

  37. Mike (the neighbour) Says:

THats the one wine the Kiwis do well -and its a reserve prefer Oz reds and Kiwi white -as long as its not french -I hate them rip off merchants

  38. Evo in Oz Says:

definitely…ive sculled a few hundred bottles of it in my day!

  39. Geoff Says:

Talking of wine I was just listening to Ferguson, the worlds greatest whiner! I’m hoping for a draw with them or a lucky scouse win, if the scousers are too good they’ll be fired up for us, so I would prefer something unconvincing.

  40. Evo in Oz Says:

Sir Bobby is tipping a Man U title in the daily mail, what an old git….

  41. Geoff Says:

there’s a surprise! and they are only £850 million in debt, soppy old geordie cunt.

  42. Mike (the neighbour) Says:

One thing I am learning is take each game as it comes -cant start playing percentages now its win or bust .Dont wanna see any more draws

  43. Evo in Oz Says:

a loss would be heart breaking but a draw would nearly be even the same!

  44. Geoff Says:

Send out a message to the world today, Arsenal have arrived. Like we did at Milan, show the Russian that cheats don’t prosper and that crime doesn’t pay.

I was reading that dimwit Terry said the whole country thought that Beckham should get his hundreth cap, deluded backward cunt, he didn’t ask me and I live in this country.

Beckham should fuck off back to the USA he’s had his day and his last 10 caps weren’t warranted anyway.

  45. edlass Says:

    &
    your son has a wife?!!!!

you got married when 10 ys old then??
    —————————————–

    Anyway,
I think there’ll be more than enough time to slate Flamini when it is officially announced that he is really leaving. But thinking about the replacement, for me the player potentially best suited for Flam’s role is Toure.
I know a run of 4-5 good games does not put Senderos on par with Toure, but Gallas+Senderos looks more tight than Galls+Toure.
And with his superb pace and defensive ability, Toure can be the best holding midfielder.

Enjoy the game grovers. I’ll have to find something to do to calm myself down a bit,

  46. Evo in Oz Says:

i knew it was too much to ask the Man U game to go our way, they’re already 1-0 up

  47. Evo in Oz Says:

and a red card to mascherano. game over

  48. AN Steve Says:

wank stupid scouser just got one sent off bollocks

  49. nr790 Says:

Fuck the scouse are stupid. mascherano gets sent of for arguing with the ref. what a prat

  50. Evo in Oz Says:

    NR790 - u watching on foxtel?

  51. Geoff Says:

Ok we have to win now Grovers, let’s get psyched up, or drink copious amounts of alcohol, or both!

  52. Evo in Oz Says:

    yeah copious!

  53. Geoff Says:

Still with us Evo? good man! won’t be long now.

  54. Evo in Oz Says:

  55. Evo in Oz Says:

  58. Gunner Says:

  59. Evo in Oz Says:

yeah same, they dont deserve anything better than 6th

  60. Evo in Oz Says:

  61. Geoff Says:

I wish it was over and we won 3-1

  62. Evo in Oz Says:

    fuck yeah

  63. Evo in Oz Says:

i definitely thin RVP is gonna score in this one!

  64. Evo in Oz Says:

Arsenal unchanged so Theo on the bench

  65. Evo in Oz Says:

    Diaby on the bench!

  66. Gunner Says:

    Adebayoooo!!

  67. Gunner Says:

    Almost kick off!!!

  68. Gunner Says:

  73. Evo in Oz Says:

    gold

  74. Evo in Oz Says:

    drogba is a cunt

  75. Evo in Oz Says:

chelsea went for all the long balls into the box, why didnt we do that as well?

  76. Evo in Oz Says:

    fuck everything.

drogba is gay and this is the cunts

why waste my time staying up until 5am to watch the end of this shite! might as well go and get a couple of cunting hours sleep and then get back up again.

sorry lads, but im so pissed off!

  77. mutafaca Says:

Too Effing. Why do the defense just broke up like that after sagna was taken off?

  78. tt Says:

Wenger will have to take the blame for this collapse, not enough experient players to keep the team on course in the latter half of the season. I can understand him wanting to blood the younger ones but it was done by putting too many young players in the team at the same time. He needs to by two 25 to 27 year old players in the summer to strengthen the team for next season, utd did that in the summer after becoming champions and have a much stronger squad than we do and more experience and will for that reasom be worthy champions again, lets just hope wenger will learne frome this but i have my doupts.

  79. Gunner Says:

Fucking Bullshit!!!!!! no title this year!!!! BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!!!

  80. Gunner Says:

We last won in the fucking San Siro! Title…pfffff you’re havin’t a laugh. Now fucking Bolton, don’t tell me thats gonna be a draw. BOLLOCKS!!!

  81. Gunner Says:

At this rate Liverpool will overtake us!

  82. Geoff Says:

Tomorrow will be a very honest summary, but let us not forget the goals were offside and they cheated when we were being sportsmen, and who cheated, dirty cunts Terry and Cole, that’s who, we have to stop kicking the fucking ball out when there’s nothing wrong with their players, especially if it’s that cheating nasty little cunt Joe Cole.

  83. tt Says:

Gunner we played well for most part of the game, it was not at the bridge where we lost the title, it was the four previus draws where we where lacking in experience and depth. And no liverpool will not overtake us, if anything we will overtake chealsea again with a little bit of luck and effort.

  84. jimmyfingers Says:

    Bollocks bollocks bollocks

I said ‘Arsenal never score from corners’ just as we did and me and my bro went nuts. But it was all downhill from there

That said I thought we played well, and were fucking unlucky. There first goal was offside but I didn’t watch the post game shit so no idea about the second. Drogba is our bogey striker for sure. I’ll repeat my pre-match call for Ade and Eboue to be dropped and I can’t understand why Diaby came on but apart from that I have little complaint about the performance. Sagna’s injury hurt us bad and the reshuffled backline didn’t cope

  85. Mike (the neighbour) Says:

youre right about Joe cole Geoff -and the off side goal -one game at a time eh -on jack daniels now but for a different reason -and jimmy fingers you are right we were unlucky

  86. norfbank Says:

fucking hell im so pissed off, it’s like deja vu again. All that talk from Gallas at the start and he was to blame for both goals. what use is a centre back who can’t deal with high balls and Kolo toure just hasn’t benn himself since he came back from the ACN’s. Well thats it for another year lads hurts me to say it but it’s true. We can’t even blame it on injuries either.

  87. 1979gooner Says:

    bollocks

  88. AN Steve Says:

Their goals were fortuitous and I agree with Jimmy we played well but we do lack a cutting edge. Ada’s first touch continues to be shite is Wenger blind

I am so fucking depressed at the moment and some of the things I have said I wanted to do to Chelsea supporters is actually quite worrying

  89. Jay Says:

EBOUE WAS SH#T AGAINST CHELSEA! HE NEEDS TO GO…

  90. Grant Says:

I also hate Eboue with a passion.

Don’t know what Wenger sees in him. He should have played Walcott. Eboue was poor and could have got a second yellow and cost us further.

    Hes a walking liability.

  91. Milo Says:

wenger needs to buy some players.

After watching Man Utd thrash liverpool it pretty opbvious they are in a league of their own.

Thier players are the best in the league. We can’t compete. We have bean-pole up front, libaility on the right and a dodge-ball defense!

    BUY SOME PLAYERS!!!!

  92. Guv Says:

Dare I say it but surely questions have to be asked about Wenger? Four years since their last title in terms of physical stature and power Vieria and Campbell have not been replaced in their respective position. Wenger has decided to take another route, but the bottom line is the current set-up, whilst great to watch when they are allowed to play, still lack a real presence to land a premiership over 38 games. Playing great football alone will NEVER EVER will a Premier League, has Wenger suddenly forgotten this?
Power play and long balls that were not properly defended all day were the root cause of defeat today. Oh for a proper centre half who actually knows how to head a ball or actually make a worthwhile attempt to win the ball in the air?
Remember the Bridge last year? 1 up, Essien rifles in admittedly a great strike, and they Chelsea swarmed all over us, Lampard hit the post, and in the end we were fortunate to hold on for a point. Virtual replica today, absolutely no answer in attempting to ward off a physically superior side. In effect we’ve learnt nothing in a year of how to deal with a one dimensional outfit who rely on long balls to Drogba and then fight like mad to win the second ball with runners from midfield joining up to assist.
Its one thing not winning the league from being five points clear in Feb, quite another to not at least keep the battle running until the later stages of April.
Bolton next, no guesses for what Arsenal can expect there, but lessons are hardly being learnt are they, based on what occurred at the Bridge today…

I think there is a tendency to believe Wenger is untouchable, why should he not be immune to criticism?
His squad as ever lacks depth, and bear in mind the last two games have been played (outside of Rosicky for Eboue) with a first choice eleven. There was a time when you looked at our bench and changes could be made that would influence the outcome of the game, this in comparison to United and Chelsea is not the case now, and I’m sorry finances can no longer be used as an excuse. Wenger’s choice so any criticism that comes his way is deserved.

  93. mustafa Says:

tell that cunt endleman to stop talking about that £70 million pot of cash , we need to win a trophy quickly - it could be time for a change

  94. mustafa Says:

i am fucked off , wacthing us get defeated to them cunts lucky pricks , but they can bring on class we can bring on cunts , asley cole i want to lock him in a room with 6 demented gay russians we played well but not good enough , them 4 draws have knocked the stuffing out of us , i blame wenger the buck stops with him for not beefing up our squad he took a big gamble we are shit up front ades got 2 left feet , and bentner is shit

  95. James Says:

Im so fed up of losing this fucking big games because they bring on world class superstars and we bring on Diaby and Nikki, i cant stand fucking Wenger anymore saying that were going to ”build on the future and not going to spend any money to ensure this talent is amazing in 10 years……am i the only Arsenal fan that is fed up with fuckin Eboue running into players and not having a left foot?? hes fucking usless i’d rather have old Pascal C on the wing…im so fed up of these ”Grand Slam Sundays” and losing or drawing, how comes we dont win 3-0 like Man Utd……why cant be fucking win a big game for once……how bad is it that Wenger had fucked the league because of his shitty ways of ”they’ll be good next season” …….i dont sit in the pub (or go to it when i get the chance) to watch us loose 2-1 to Middlesborough or draw 2-2 to Brimingham…..were to good for that shit, we should be beating the shitters….especially the chavs….Wenger needs to get out of his old fucking ways and sign a player over the age of 19 and someone we’ve heard of SHIT maybe i wanna buy a new home shirt next season with a player like Robihno on the back rather than some shitter like Cygan on the back……im sorry Grovers to have a pissed moan but im fed up with Wenger.!!!

See i know im going to get the ”Arsene Knows” tossers but at the end of the day…..i want to win something, IM NOT A WEST HAM FAN THATS HAPPY WITH 10TH PLACE, IM A GOONER…….im just a simpleton but please wake up and smell the dead fried shit….were in trouble………

  96. Just Stick It In ! Says:

damn that didn’t go off as we planned did it?

an offside goal & toure sticking out his pansy leg for the second.

senderos & theo starting would’ve been appropriate.

  97. mustafa Says:

morning all still fucked off , just watched the goals again , can’t belive that lucky cunt ugly drogba ball just fell to him , i would like to shake his hand at the end of dover cliffs then ! push the cunt off - that way he will never score against us again , second goal was cheap cheap cheap! how many years have we been crying out for a CB - dont worry stepanos is comming back for £1 at the end of the season , senderos deserves to start and may be theo , but hey! chins up we have bolton next! - we must give our all for the chapions leauge now and tell that tight french git SPEND SOME MONEY -

  98. Geoff Says:

I will post in a hour, I still feel numb.

  99. nucks Says:

I’m afraid the pundits have been proved right about the lack of depth in our squad. We have burnt out and have run out of ideas because of it too. I wouldn’t normally criticise individuals for underperforming in the odd game but once again I think too much patience is shown to the wrong player’s. Just as cygan, the beast, etc.,

ADEYBEYOR. I didn’t want to be proved right because I know he has so much potential.
He breaks up our quick, direct passing far too often. He fails to spot the runs of our midfielders. This happens all the time. Fabregas will split the defence to Ade, someone will be busting a gut, half a yard in front of the last defender and Ade will not see that run. Instead he will turn his back on goal and slip a ‘david batty’ like pass sideways or backwards. It’s so difficult to watch a player like Fabregas make a pass that only a handfull of players in the world can see, only for it to be wasted. Imagine Henry on some of his passes this season. He needs to be told or sold!
EBOUE. Please help me god to find the strength to say something positive about a player who keeps theo from finding his feet. I’m afraid the negatives are too many to bother listing. It just makes me angry thinking about him as a player.
CENTRAL DEFENCE. How can we have two of the best left back and right backs in the entire world and look so vulnerable? Simple, Toure and Gallas! Kolo has lost form since Gallas arrived. Our best partnership for whatever reason in spells this year was Senderos Gallas. Poor Phil started to finally convince me this season when Kolo was away. However, I think we need 2 experienced new centre backs.

I have criticism of our formation aswell. Although we have Clichy and Sagna, they will never be able to impact a game for sustained periods in attacking play. I believe this is the fundamental difference between us and utd. Compare the two teams wide midfielders for a moment. Hleb, Rosicky, or Eboue. Ronaldo, Nani ? Does anybody else spot it? We have in Rosicky and Hleb, two world class cental midfielders. Why play them as wingers? How can we be coming to the end of a season and still not have seen the pace of Walcott stretching defences? When Fergie has a surplus of similar midfield players he sells them. Tells them no, your not good enough to play at this club. Players don’t leave utd. to play for bigger clubs because to be honest where would they go? Fergie sells players as soon as they are not needed. They don’t leave him in the lurch. You don’t read about his players having ice cream with representatives of other clubs. We need stronger leadership from the top. I’m not talking about a change of manager because there is no one else I want taking this club forward. I’m talking about a change in Management style. It’s time to get tougher on these players. We are simply not good enough and it’s time to change!!

We’re on our way, we’re on our way, we’re going to Moscow………………….
